THIS STILL NEEDS EXTENSIVE EDITING!

The role of Jack Brennan is now being played by Chris L. McKenna. Thank you for the ride back to Port Charles. Oh, it’s the least I can do after you saved my life. You have done so much for me. I mean, the biggest gift was getting Michael into that clinic. And you provided a distraction, so I didn’t sit around and worry about him or drive the clinic staff crazy. Well, I’m just glad I was able to give you a small taste of what Baden-Baden has to offer. I was expecting a small, sleepy German town. What I wasn’t expecting was for Valentin Cassadine to show up and try and kill you. So, why am I here? Did you find proof that Cyrus killed Dex? Well, this is about Dex, but it’s — it’s not for the reason you’re thinking. I can’t believe you snuck in here. I just jumped the fence. Navy Seal training finally came in handy. I hope Yuri doesn’t catch you on the way out. Nothing could keep me from seeing you. Here you go. $5,000. You’ll have another five in a month. I’m pleased to see you’re able to honor your debts, Mr. Bell. Was there any other option? Yeah. See you in a month. Not so fast. I have a proposition for you. One I think you’d like. I’ve been all over the world doing dangerous work. I get that sometimes, your back is against the wall. You don’t have a choice. You have to kill someone in self-defense. But Sidwell was unconscious. Jason had knocked him out. So, I told him to stop. And he did. He wasn’t happy about it, but he stopped. Do you regret it? I really don’t know. This will be perfect for the meeting. I’m so glad. Enjoy. Thank you. Where is everybody? This meeting is supposed to start. I’m sure they’ll be here shortly. You just missed my mom. Oh, how unfortunate. But then again, it’s one less person to debate the direction of our company. Brook Lynn, hi. It’s so good to see you. Trace, I am so excited to talk all things Deception. So, let’s get this party started, shall we? Jenz: And so I said, “Well, I can wear it, but it’s a little tight.” [ Laughs ] Jenz, long time no see. You back to kill me yourself this time? ♪♪ ♪♪ ♪♪ I apologize for this, Deputy Mayor Ashford. Dr. Gannon and I had an unfortunate misunderstanding while working together in Africa. Oh, there’s no misunderstanding. You see, Mr. Sidwell just happens to employ a lot of incompetent people that couldn’t keep me locked up in Somalia. And when they couldn’t finish the job, they tried to kill me here in Port Charles. Dr. Gannon, Mr. Sidwell and I were having a private conversation. You’re interrupting. Mr. Sidwell tried to kill me twice. Mr. Sidwell held Lucky Spencer prisoner for weeks. Okay, I’m afraid those accusations are — Hi, there, everybody. So nice to see all of you. You know, I just sensed a little bit of tension over here, and I think we should just make it all disappear. I mean, come on, why can’t, you know, the deputy mayor and our newest medical hero in town just try to get along with our new entrepreneur who can do so much for our fair city? We have got to start this meeting. This lack of punctuality is completely unacceptable. Sorry I’m late. Lulu. Didn’t realize you’d be attending. Well, of course she’s. Going to be attending. She’s your assistant. When we’re on Deception time, I expect you to be punctual and professional. Now get your notepad out and prepare to take notes. Mom actually lent me a tablet. I don’t care if you chisel it on stone. Where is Maxie? And would someone tell Lucy this is no time to be a social butterfly? I understand that you’re trying to give Monica access to Wiley and Amelia by having them in the house, the house that they grew up in. It’s very generous of you. Thank you. But we shouldn’t have to jump through all these hoops just to spend time together. I agree. Are you sure you’re okay with this? I’m trying to be. Brook Lynn and Chace have been really supportive, but I can see everyone else here just biting their tongues. And then there’s all the random visits just to “check in.” Ah, trying to catch you in the act. With you? Probably. I don’t know. Part of me hopes they do, just to end all this awkwardness. But I also don’t want to escalate things and cause any more pain. What kind of proposition are we talking? I recently made the acquaintance of an individual interested in a very high stakes poker game. I’ll be setting up the game. But I need an excellent player, one who I can manage, to participate. You’ll be playing with house money. And of course, I’ll provide you with a very attractive service fee for your efforts. I’ll also cancel your remaining debt. Would I get a cut of the winnings? Anything can be negotiated. Okay, well, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but since I last played with you, I found out that Max Scorpio is my father. You know, Max Scorpio, chief detective of the PCPD. I’m aware of most things, Mr. Bell. And your discretion will certainly be honored if you choose to take me up on my offer. I need to think about this. See you soon. Just don’t take too long. You know how impatient I am. If I’d let Jason kill Sidwell in that moment, it — it would have been purely about revenge. And I didn’t want to carry that burden the rest of my life. Revenge for what? The PCPD has been officially notified that there were two deaths at General Hospital that were not due to natural causes. Then what did they die of? An unknown individual injected them with digitalis, which is a drug that caused the patients to — to go into cardiac arrest. And this unknown individual injected Dex, I assume. Yes. That’s the theory. Yes. The other family has been notified. Can I have their names? Sam McCall. So, when I was looking through Dex’s records to see the family member that I should notify, both on the PCPD file and also at the hospital, the name that was there was — was yours. Just mine? So, I’m notifying you. You were Dex’s family. Well, I’m glad he saw me that way. Which is why this is even more important. When they came to you and told you that someone was committing these murders, did you tell them that it was Cyrus? Well, I have your undivided attention until this plane lands, and I refuse to spend another minute talking about Valentin. I would much rather hear what you thought about that champagne we had. The champagne we had under the stars, next to the firepit? I don’t remember. Oh, well, that’s a pity. It’s one of my favorites. I was too focused on you. Likewise. It’s a pity you decided to go to your room alone. Well, you told me the WSB was surveilling the property. I value my privacy. Well, I can assure you that if I’m ever lucky enough to spend the night with you, we will have complete privacy. [ Cellphone rings ] Duty calls. Brennan. Colette: It’s me. When do you get back to Port Charles? The plane lands in 10 minutes. Great, because there’s something I really need you to see. Early on, when Sidwell was holding me prisoner, there happened to be a deck of cards lying around. So, I challenged him to a game. You know, just to distract him. And you’re so good at cards, you won. Yes, I did. And it just…unlocked something in him. He became fixated on beating me. See, Isaiah had already escaped at this point, which completely infuriated Sidwell. So, he decided that we were going to play until I lost. And that when I did… I was gonna die. No, I did not pass along your suspicions about Cyrus to the hospital because we don’t have any proof. He’s not a suspect. He’s not even a person of interest at this point. So, while you’re just ignoring Cyrus, he’s got free reign at G.H. No, actually, he had an issue with Dr. Robinson, and she banned him from seeing the patients. Well, finally, someone with authority taking action. I know that you want justice for Dex. So do I. Believe me. But in order to get justice, we need evidence. And we are working very hard to get that. So, take it as a win that Cyrus is no longer given any access to the patients at the hospital. Great. He’s cut off from G.H. What about the patients at Turning Woods? No one’s denied him access to them. What do you know about Turning Woods’ policy regarding Cyrus? I will support whatever you decide. But just know you can pack everything up and head out of here, and the Quartermaines can’t stop you. If they try, I mean, you know a guy. [ Chuckles ] A powerful congressman. Doesn’t hurt. I really do want to make this work. The kids had such a great visit with Monica yesterday. They adore her. And this is their home. They have their routine and their own rooms. And this is something I can do for Michael. No matter how badly things ended between us, I care about him. And if me staying here with our kids, it all helps him during his recovery, I want to do it. Even if it means dealing with Tracy? I can handle Tracy. Honestly, the toughest person to deal with has been Sasha. She’s pregnant with God only knows whose baby. But I still feel like she’s constantly judging me. It’s hard to believe we were ever friends. Yeah, there’s a lot of that going around. A little conflict really tells you who your true friends are.
