At Il Giardino, Eric and Brooke discuss HFTF’s success and Sheila’s upcoming trial. Deacon eavesdrops on their conversation and later joins them. Brooke expresses her desire for justice, and Deacon empathizes but wonders if Sheila should get help instead of prison. Brooke believes Sheila is beyond redemption.
At the courthouse, Finn and Steffy await Sheila’s trial, and Liam arrives to show support. Finn warns Liam away from Steffy. Inside the judge’s chambers, they learn that the evidence against Sheila is suppressed due to unlawful means, leading to her release. Outraged, the group plans to file an appeal, but Sheila is free. Finn and Steffy’s refusal to press charges against Sheila mean that they can’t do anything about her shooting them. Finn meets Sheila in the corridor, and they share an emotional hug, observed by Liam with growing concern.
