Allie: The backyard looks beautiful. Everything’s so romantic.
Traci: I know that kyle and summer are just gonna love it, and that’s what matters today.
Noah: Babe, you have got to try this éclair. I saved you a bite.
Mariah: I love pastries as much as the next girl, but we have a lot to do.
Allie: Oh, my gosh, this is delicious. It’s super light.
Noah: Right? I think it’s the best I ever had.
Allie: Mm-hmm.
Traci: Mrs. Martinez picks them up at a little shop over on hill street.
Mariah: Okay, focus, people. There is a lot to do, and we have tasks to complete.
Noah: Chill. We got plenty of time.
Allie: What needs to be done, mariah?
Mariah: Uh, okay, well, somebody’s got to talk to the wedding planner and figure out the last-minute details, and also the flowers for the driveway haven’t been delivered yet.
Noah: Hey, trace, what’s the name of that bakery again?
Traci: It’s called hill street buns.
Mariah: Why are we talking about pastries?! There is a lot to do, so please listen to me.
Tessa: Hey, babe, relax. They’re just getting in the festive spirit.
Noah: Yeah, I’m all about the festive spirit.
Mariah: No. We’re gonna focus on that later, okay? I just need you guys to listen to me for two —
Kyle: No! Today’s a party. Let’s treat it like one. “We have tasks to complete”?
Mariah: What, was that too bossy?
Kyle: Yeah. Kinda. Lose the clipboard. Let’s have some fun.
Tessa: Yeah, I think that’s a great idea.
Kyle: Now let’s go see if there are more éclairs.
[ Laughter ]
Jack: Did someone say éclairs?
[ Doorbell rings ] Hello.
Nikki: Special delivery for the bride from forrester creations of los angeles.
Phyllis: Oh, my goodness! Is that the dress?
Nikki: Yes.
Phyllis: Thank you, nikki. Thank you so much.
Nikki: Oh, you’re very welcome. I’m happy to do it.
Phyllis: Uh, so, summer’s getting ready. Do you want to join us?
Nikki: I’d love to, but i have to go home and get ready for the ceremony.
Jack: And I have some éclairs to sample. Bye.
Phyllis: Welcome back. I’d like to hear all about your trip — and I mean all of it.
Nikki: It was very successful.
[ Door opens ]
[ Knock on door ]
Diane: [ Sighs ] I don’t have time for this.
Tucker: [ Chuckling ] Wow.
Diane: Today is a big day.
Tucker: Yes, it is. It is. For everyone.
Diane: [ Sighs ] I told you to keep your distance for now.
Tucker: Oh, uh, do you not want people to see you with me?
Diane: No.
Tucker: Diane?
Diane: Stop! Stop it!
Tucker: In room 567?!
Diane: Could you stop it?
Tucker: You better let me in, diane!
Diane: Alright, get in.
Tucker: 567!
Diane: Just come in. God.
[ Exhales sharply ]
[ Door slams ] You have come at the worst possible time. Kyle and summer are renewing their vows today.
Tucker: Oh, that’s so sweet.
Diane: Yes, it is. I have dreamed of this moment. And I am so close to getting the trust and forgiveness that i came back to genoa city hoping to find. If the abbotts get one whiff of suspicion about our connection, it’s over for me.
Victoria: I think we’d be foolish not to obtain a majority stake in chancellor-winters when they go public.
Victor: Is the announcement being made soon?
Victoria: I don’t know the timeframe, but that’s what I’ve been told.
Nick: I still don’t like it.
Victoria: [ Sighs ] Well, I think your objections are sentimental. They’re not based on our business interests.
Nick: That’s not true, vick. We’d be opening ourselves up to a major conflict with lily and devon, especially when they find out we got our information from nate, who stabbed them in the back.
Victoria: Well, I’m not afraid of a fight.
Nick: Are you prepared for the legal consequences of using nate’s insider information? You want to fight with the federal government?
Victoria: I think it’s worth the risk.
Victor: Son, conflicts like this, legal or otherwise, you know, carry a certain price with it. Question is, is nate hastings able to deliver what we want him to do?
Nate: Audra. How are you?
Audra: Good. Nice to see you.
Nate: Likewise. So, you are making progress on the ipo?
Audra: I have some questions for you before I answer that.
Nate: Sure. Um, hopefully I can be of some help.
Audra: Non-business-related.
Nate: Okay. Well, what would you like to know?
Audra: I mean, what is there to do in this town at night? I mean, this place seems to shut down once the office closes. It’s a ghost town. Is genoa city all work and no play?
Nate: Uh, there’s plenty of play here. You just have to know where to look.
Audra: Where do I begin?
Nate: Well, there’s a club that just opened up. It’s, uh — it has sort of a modern-art theme with a really cool vibe.
Audra: Hmm. I’d like to check it out. Maybe we can go there one night. I mean, since, you know, I’ll be in town for a while.
Devon: Elena.
Elena: Hey.
Devon: How you doing?
Elena: I’m good.
Devon: Yeah?
Elena: How are you doing?
Devon: Doing alright. Just been working away. I’m excited, though, that you get to finally start the podcast for chancellor-winters.
Elena: Thanks. I’m looking forward to it.
Devon: Yeah. I’m sure you’ve heard that, uh — that things have gotten better between me and nate since he’s come back to work. We straightened everything out.
Elena: Yeah. That’s great to hear.
Devon: I’m sure it wasn’t easy for him to admit that he stepped out of line and to ask for a second chance, but we’re all glad that he’s back.
Elena: I’m sure he’s happy to be back.
Devon: Uh, is everything okay?
Elena: Um… actually, no. Numbers move you.

Jack: I don’t remember these cufflinks being such trouble in your wedding in milan.
Kyle: Oh, I still struggled with them. I just didn’t know how to say “cufflink” in italian, so I kept it to myself. Since they were a gift from you, I figured you had a trick.
Jack: Well, unfortunately not. Maybe your grandfather did.
[ Groans ] Your grandfather would be very honored that you’re wearing these, so…
Kyle: Good, because I’m honored to wear them. I love that summer and I are doing this in the house where generations of abbotts lived. Makes me feel connected to the whole family, past and present.
Jack: Voil! The mere mention of your grandfather, and it’s fixed. I love that you care so much about family.
Kyle: Well, it’s what you taught me and what I intend to teach harrison. We stand by each other. We may disagree, we may fight like hell, but in the end, we always come back together.
Jack: I am so incredibly proud of you, so proud of the man you’ve become. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Harrison: Daddy! Grandpa!
Jack: We were just talking about you!
Kyle: Oh, come here.
Jack: You know what today is, don’t you?
Harrison: We’re getting married again!
Jack: That’s right. And you have a very important job today, young man.
[ Chuckles ]
Phyllis: You know what? You’re a beautiful bride again.
Summer: You’re not gonna cry, are you?
Phyllis: No! No. Maybe. I don’t know. I may.
Summer: Good. You are the toughest woman i know, but you turn into a mushy pile of emotions so easily.
[ Chuckles ]
Phyllis: I’m really happy for you.
Summer: [ Breathes deeply ]
Phyllis: Your wedding in milan — it was gorgeous. But here it just seems like it’s the one that counts, you know?
Summer: Yeah. This is so different than our wedding in italy, isn’t it?
Phyllis: Yeah.
Summer: I mean, this is our home. This is where everything began for me and kyle. It feels right.
Phyllis: Yeah. I agree.
Summer: I just — I hope that there aren’t any distractions.
Phyllis: [ Sighs ] What do you mean, summer?
Summer: I-I just don’t want anything to erupt between you and diane today.
Phyllis: Nothing is going to. I’m not gonna do anything. I’m not going to. And we promised that we would co-exist peacefully.
Summer: Yeah.
Phyllis: Nothing will happen today. Nothing. Hey, listen, nothing’s gonna ruin this day for you.
Tucker: I made your return to genoa city possible.
Diane: I’m aware of that.
Tucker: Are you? Because the way you’re treating me suggests otherwise. I expect a little more respect since I’m the one responsible for your chance at redemption. I gave you the key, diane. We had a deal.
Diane: And I’m sticking to it. I’m just asking for a little more time. I-I need to prepare. There are things that need to happen before you reveal yourself.
Tucker: You’re stalling.
Diane: No, I’m not.
Tucker: Today’s the perfect opportunity to make my presence known to the abbotts. They’ll be gathered there for the happy occasion.
Diane: What? No.
Tucker: And then — pfft!
Diane: No!
Tucker: It’s my time.
Diane: No, no, no, no, no. Just listen to me, please. You have to be patient.
Tucker: Relax. I won’t blow your cover. I’ll never reveal our connection, okay? Trust me. I got this.
Nate: I’m not so sure that’s a good idea. The two of us going clubbing and we’re supposed to be working together?
Audra: I don’t see the problem. I mean, what if I suggested a round of golf, okay? Would you object to that because we work together?
Nate: Probably not.
Audra: You see? There’s a double standard. No, people combine work and recreational activities all the time.
Nate: But going to a club has some dangers and temptations you’re not going to find on the golf course.
Audra: You’ve never seen me golf.
[ Both laugh ]
Nate: I suppose you’re right. But I am having some trouble envisioning you teeing off and playing 18 holes.
Audra: Well, if you’re gonna picture me at all, picture me with you at that club.
Nate: Uh, yeah, I don’t see us getting much work done.
Audra: On the contrary. You know, I think it would be a very progressive way of doing business. Think of it as taking team building to a whole new level.
Nate: [ Chuckles ] I’m sorry, audra. I can’T. I’m actually in a relationship.
Audra: Oh. I see.
Nate: [ Sighs ]
Devon: So, what’s the matter?
Elena: Honestly, it’s not even a big deal.
Devon: Okay. If it’s not a big deal, it should be easy to tell me then, right?
Elena: Okay. Um… nate’s transition into the corporate world has been… complicated for me.
Devon: How?
Elena: Well, at first it was fun seeing him take on new role and, you know, trying to prove himself.
Devon: Mm-hmm.
Elena: But now it’s — it’s like he’s a completely different person. And I know I must sound really dramatic.
Devon: No. No, I don’t think you sound dramatic. And I know what you mean. I mean, he’s been a doctor his whole life, and that’s the only thing you’ve known him as. Yeah, this whole corporate thing — it’s a very different animal. I’ve even wondered if he’s made the right decision. When he quit, half of me thought, “maybe this is the right move.”
Elena: Yeah. I had a similar feeling.
Devon: Well, you know we all want him to be a part of the family business, as long as it makes him happy and he’s fulfilled by it and he’s not just going through the motions.
Elena: You know, you have always been incredibly generous and forgiving to him. I hope that’ll continue.
Devon: Yeah, I mean, he’s family, so we stand by each other.
Elena: Of course. Well, you know what? I think I should probably get going.
Devon: Okay.
[ Card clatters ] Uh-oh.
Elena: Thanks.
Devon: Why do you have this? You stay in a hotel?
Elena: Yeah. For a while.
Devon: Why are you staying at a hotel? Are you and nate fighting?
Elena: I really should get going. I’ll talk to you soon.
Victoria: I believe that nate has all of the incentive in the world to cooperate with us, given that I’m gonna put him in charge of chancellor-winters once we obtain a majority share. And I think that nate will handle the situation with care and grace.
Nick: So, you think nate can gracefully convince lily and devon that he’s a team player, even though he betrayed them?
Victor: Son, there will be ruffled feathers once we have made the offer, alright? But you must remember that chancellor-winters will be stronger and more profitable. And they’ll be backed up by newman enterprises.
Nick: But they won’t be independent. The people who lead the company won’t be calling any of the shots.
Victor: But that’s their problem. They made the ipo. Let them deal with it.
Nick: Well, as far as lily and devon know, they structured the ipo so their family would retain controlling interests.
Victoria: It was up them to consider every possible scenario. Nate has every right to sell his shares to us.
Nick: Well, you both know how I feel about this. Uh, I’m done talking about it. I got to go and watch summer and kyle renew their vows.
Victor: Give them our love, okay?
Nick: Well, you two have at it. I’m out of here.
Victor: Alright, son. You know, this offer is gonna be financially risky and complicated.
Victoria: I can handle it, dad.
Victor: I know you can. But I want you to go to the renewal ceremony, alright? I will handle things.
Victoria: Don’t you want to go?
Victor: Are you serious? Do you honestly think I want to spend an afternoon at a party given by jack abbott? Better things to do. I’m going to chicago to sort out the finances, alright?
Victor: Okay. Well, I guess it would be bad form if neither one of us showed up. So, you handle the money, and i will fulfill our family obligation.
Victor: It’s a deal, my darling.
Nikki: Well, hello, family!
Victor: Well, look who’s there.
Victoria: Hi, mother. How was your trip to L.A.?
Victor: My goodness.
Nikki: It was lovely. Our friends at forrester designed a beautiful dress for summer to wear today. I dropped it off on the way from the airport.
Victoria: And what about your main reason for the trip?
Nikki: I’ll fill you in later. Right now, your father and i have to get ready for the ceremony.
Victor: I’m not going.
Nikki: Why?
Victor: “Why?”
Nikki: Because jack is hosting it?
Victor: Of course.
Victoria: Well, that’s what he says, but he’s also gonna take care of a business thing for me. So, I’ll see you there.
Nikki: Alright, darling.
Victoria: Okay.
Victor: Come here, my sweet baby. I’m so happy to have you back.
Nikki: Mm. I’m happy to be back.
Victor: Oh, my goodness. So, tell me about deacon sharpe. What did he tell you about diane jenkins’ time in L.A.? Hi, I’m karen.
[ Laughter ]
Devon: Well, hey, you two.
Nate: Hey.
Devon: I must have missed the memo for the meeting today. You guys look like you’re being protective.
Nate: Uh, that would be audra here. I stopped in for some breakfast.
Devon: Oh. So, you guys just ran into each other?
Audra: Nate came in here looking for some eggs florentine, and I’ve been pestering him for things to do in town.
Nate: And no, cousin, i wasn’t much help. I don’t exactly have my finger on the pulse of nightlife here, especially with the work schedules elena and I have.
Audra: And I think that’s a shame. I mean, you have to mix things up, nate. You can’t work 24 hours a day.
Nate: [ Chuckles ]
Nikki: Seeing deacon was as unpleasant as expected. He has not changed.
Victor: Did you confront him about helping diane jenkins fake her own death?
Nikki: Yeah, yeah, but i didn’t really get much satisfaction out of it.
Victor: Well, did he apologize?
Nikki: He tried, but you know people like him — they never truly apologize, even as the words “I’m sorry” are coming out of their mouths.
Victor: Yeah, true, true.
Nikki: But I did get some new information. It seems that diane had a much more luxurious life in california than she led us to believe.
Victor: Huh.
Nikki: She was being chauffeured around in a bentley.
Victor: Really?
Nikki: Mm-hmm. Deacon had a photo.
Victor: Ah. Let’s have a look here.
Nikki: Now, granted, it’s not a great photo, but at least you can see the license-plate number.
Victor: Oh, wait a minute now. This is not a car that would belong to a mid-level real-estate agent.
Nikki: No, it is not. And deacon says that occasionally he would see her riding around with a man.
Victor: Who?
Nikki: Well, he didn’t know that. But I found out that this car is owned by a company named private image limited. They’re based in london, but they have a branch in los angeles, and the business is entertainment and art-related. That’s all I could find out.
Victor: Uh-huh. I’ll have my people find out more if they can, okay? But I’ve got to tell you, my sweetheart, the fact that you’ve found out as much as you have in such a short period of time from deacon sharpe — that’s impressive.
Nikki: But more importantly, it shows that diane is clearly hiding something.
Diane: Hi. I didn’t realize the groom was on door-answering duty.
Kyle: Come in. Come in. Everyone else is too busy listening to maria’s orders.
Diane: Ah. Oh, kyle, I am so happy for you and summer. I-I just can’t believe I’m here to witness this.
Kyle: It’s all the more special with you here.
Diane: Mm!
Kyle: [ Chuckles ]
Diane: Oh, here.
Kyle: Oh, you didn’t have to.
Diane: Ohh!
Kyle: Come on. Come see everybody.
Traci: [ Laughing ] Ah! Nick, hi!
Nick: Hello.
Traci: Mwah! Come in, honey.
Nick: Thank you. I ran into a delivery guy coming up the driveway. I took this off his hands. I’m pretty sure it’s from ashley.
Traci: Oh. Thank you. Wow. Yeah, she got stuck in paris, and she’s not gonna be able to be here today.
Nick: Oh, that’s too bad.
Traci: Yeah. Ohh! You’re looking for a tip, I’ll bet.
Nick: I mean, a little something for the effort would be nice.
Traci: I’m gonna have to pay you in pastries. But bad news — noah ate all the éclairs.
Nick: Ugh. That kid. Sounds about right.
Traci: [ Chuckling ] Come on.
Phyllis: Hey, look at you.
Nick: No, no, no.
Phyllis: You look sharp.
Nick: Let’s look at you.
Phyllis: Thanks.
Nick: Wow.
Phyllis: You look very handsome.
Nick: Well, it’s a big occasion. It’s not every day your girl marries the love of her life, although it does seem like it’s happening once a year.
Phyllis: Yeah. Yeah. Are you ready to do this again?
Nick: Look, I’m very happy kyle decided to have the ceremony here, so I’m willing to get emotional again. I will do anything for that girl.
Phyllis: Are you okay with how it’s going down? I mean, are you okay with not walking down the aisle?
Nick: Totally fine with what they have planned.
Phyllis: Okay. You know, we made a lot of mistakes. But one thing we did right was summer. She’s an incredible girl — and mainly because you’ve been an incredible father.
Nick: I think most of the credit goes to you. I mean, she is more and more like you every day.
Phyllis: Oh, god, I hope so.
Nick: [ Laughs ]
Phyllis: Gosh.
Nick: She’s lucky to have you. You’re an amazing mother.
Phyllis: Thank you.
Nick: So, I hear there’s some pastries. I’m just gonna go introduce myself to them.
Kyle: Excuse me.
Jack: Hey.
[ Indistinct conversations ]
[ Silverware clinking ]
Diane: Hello, jack.
Jack: Diane. Good to see you.
Diane: Yeah, the place looks lovely.
Jack: Yeah, allie and traci did quite a job.
Diane: Well, it’s nice to see ali fitting in so well with the abbotts.
Jack: Oh, she has been a real joy. It’s funny how quickly she’s become an integral part of a family.
Diane: [ Chuckles ]
Jack: I guess we’ve all come a long way in the last few months.
Diane: [ Sighs ] Jack, I want to apologize again for what happened the other night. No, no, no, I — I overstepped. And I — I really shouldn’t have kissed you.
Jack: It’s okay.
Diane: I’ve just been feeling so disconnected from other people and a bit despondent. And I-I should not have put you in that position. But I did feel a connection between us, and I — I guess I just got caught up in the moment. For people who are a little intense about hydration.
“The young and the restless”
will continue.
[Sfx: Stomach gurgling]
Billy: Okay. Everything is good to go. I’m gonna head to the house for the ceremony. Are you sure you’re not coming?
Lily: I can’T. I really have, like, a couple dozen things to do here. You keep looking at your phone. Is everything okay?
Billy: Yeah, I guess. Kind of. [ Chuckles ] I’m a little worried about chelsea, to be honest. I’m really second-guessing the way that I have handled this whole johnny situation. I don’t know if telling him that chelsea is his biological mother was the right thing to do. And, you know, it just did not go the way that we hoped at all.
Lily: Billy, you really can’t blame yourself.
Billy: I know. But it is gnawing at me.
[ Knock on door ]
Devon: Hey. Excuse me. Do you have a second to talk?
Lily: Um, yeah, sure.
Devon: Yeah?
Billy: I got to get going, alright? You give me a kiss.
Lily: Okay.
Billy: Mwah!
Lily: Tell summer and kyle i said congratulations.
Billy: I will. I’ll talk to you soon. Later, devon.
Devon: Good to see you, man.
Lily: Uh, what’s going on?
Devon: Uh, I wanted to talk about, uh, nate and audra.
Lily: What about them?
Devon: Well, I’ve noticed that they’ve been spending a lot of time together lately outside the office. And I just ran into elena, and she and nate have been having problems to the point where she’s now staying in a hotel.
Lily: Okay. Um… I mean, I don’t think that’s really any of our business.
Devon: Well, I’m gonna tell you why I bring it up. Elena has been nate’s voice of reason throughout this whole transition into the corporate world. And with everything that’s happened lately, with him quitting and coming back to work, I feel like he needs her positive influence more than ever ’cause there’s a lot riding on this ipo. And I would love for nate to be in a good headspace.
Lily: Devon, look, I —
[ Sighs ] I really think that you need to have more faith in nate. I mean, he seems determined to make the most of his role here.
Noah: And then after the ceremony, let’s play some chill background music.
Tessa: Yeah.
Traci: Well, it looks like allie and I have finished everything on our list. How about you, mariah? How’s the clipboard?
Mariah: Let me see. Check…check, check. I — I think we’re ready.
[ Chuckles ]
Traci: Oh, that’s awesome. Okay, so, I guess all we have to do is turn everything over to the officiant, and then we can relax. So, who is it?
Tessa: That is a great question.
Traci: You — you have someone, don’t you?
Noah: Well, I wanted to do it, so I asked kyle and my sister.
Tessa: And kyle officiated our wedding, so we asked him if we could.
Traci: Well, what did they say?
Mariah: They said we need to figure it out amongst ourselves.
Noah: [ Chuckles ]
Jack: It’s no big deal. You misread the situation, that’s all.
Diane: I realize that now.
Jack: You read more into my words of encouragement than maybe I intended, and I really just wanted to tell you I think you’re doing a wonderful job rebuilding your life here. You’ve worked very hard, and i think you should be proud of that.
Diane: Thank you.
Jack: I also admire that you’ve taken ownership of your mistakes. You do know some people are never going to forgive that.
Diane: [ Sighs ] Yes, and I’m glad you’re not one of them. You’ve given me a chance to prove myself, and I just — i just don’t want to let what happened the other night get between us.
Jack: We’re fine. I promise.
Diane: Because the connection that we do share as grandparents and parents — that means everything to me. And I-I just — I don’t want to jeopardize that.
Jack: You won’T.
Diane: Okay.
Jack: Well, now that we’ve covered that, maybe — maybe we should head inside.
Diane: [ Chuckles ] Smooth dark chocolate, refreshing peppermint,
Audra: Look, I love spinach. I just don’t want it near my eggs.
Nate: You do not know what you’re missing.
Audra: What’s wrong with a nice denver omelet?
[ Both laugh ]
Devon: Hey.
Audra: Hey.
Devon: I am running into you two everywhere. Look at that.
Audra: I thought lily and billy would be here.
Devon: Billy had to go to a family event, and lily went up to legal to get some clarification on regulations for the ipo.
Nate: What’s she concerned about?
Devon: She didn’t say. I don’t think it’s anything serious, though.
Audra: Does she need me there?
Devon: Uh, no, I’m sure she’ll keep you in the loop, but for now it’s just the three of us.
Nate: You know, uh, I’ve been thinking about the ipo. Should we drop the price a bit? Maybe like 5%, something like that?
Devon: Why? Why do you think we should do that? I think it’s priced just fine.
Nate: A discount could spur some early movement. It could lead to a feeding frenzy, which ultimately drives up the price.
Audra: I agree with devon. I mean, the current valuation is right in the sweet spot. We don’t want to go any lower and give the impression it’s some kind of bargain-basement stock.
Devon: Well, there you go. I’m glad you feel that way.
Audra: Yeah. Hey, I’m gonna go check in with lily in legal just to make sure I’m up to date. I’ll see you later.
Devon: Sounds good. So, man, how’s everything going with you?
Nate: Uh, what do you mean?
Devon: I’m just wondering how you’ve been. How are things with you and elena?
Nate: There’s some tension. She’s upset with me. She thought I let things get out of hand with you, and she’s taking some time to herself. But we’ll work things out.
Devon: Well, that’s good to hear.
Phyllis: I just got a call from abby. Dominic is sick. It’s nothing serious, but they can’t make it.
Jack: Oh, I’m sorry abby and chance won’t be here. Aww.
Phyllis: I know, but our kids come first, right?
Jack: Yeah, that’s right.
Phyllis: Mm-hmm.
Jack: Well, I have to head inside. If you’ll excuse me.
Phyllis: My daughter expressed concerns about us having a potential blow-up today.
Diane: Well, I don’t know why she’d be worried about that.
Phyllis: I don’t, either.
Diane: Yeah.
Phyllis: Nothing would ever spoil our kids’ day, right?
Diane: Right. Like you said, our kids and their happiness comes first.
Nick: You ready to do this again? I mean, it’s not too late. You could change your mind.
Summer: [ Chuckles ] That would be surprising. Just kick kyle to the curb after a year of marriage?
[ Chuckles ]
Nick: I mean, it’s an option.
Summer: I think I’ll keep him around. My question is, though, are you sure you’re okay with not walking me down the aisle?
Nick: Yeah. Your mom asked me the same thing. I’m totally fine. I still get to be the ridiculously proud father of the bride, which I am. When I see you so happy and loved, I couldn’t be more proud of you.
Summer: Thanks, dad.
Nick: You’re a newman. You’re tougher than people think. I mean, look at what you’ve been through. You were born in an elevator. You survived a coma. You beat all of that, with all the ups and downs with kyle. But look at you now — the head designer of your own chic fashion house, happily married, raising a family. In honor of today, I, uh — I got you a little something.
Summer: My gosh. That is beautiful.
Nick: Now, everybody is gonna think the “s” stands for summer. But you and I know what it really stands for.
Summer: Supergirl.
Nick: That’s right. You’re always gonna be my supergirl. I love you so much.
Summer: I love you, too, dad.
[ Inhales deeply ]
Jack: Hey, little brother. I’m glad you could make it.
Traci: Oh!
Billy: Look at this. Look at this place. Doesn’t it look amazing with all these people in here?
Jack: Isn’t it great?
Traci: It feels pretty good, doesn’t it?
Billy: Feels like old times, doesn’t it? Hey, diane.
Jack: Hey.
Billy: It’s really nice to see you here.
Diane: Oh, well, thank you, billy. That’s really kind.
Billy: If you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go find the man of the hour and wish him luck.
Traci: [ Chuckles ]
Diane: I was just going to say, I’ll make sure harrison’s ready.
Jack: Oh, no, I can take care of that.
Diane: Oh, no, no, no, no. You enjoy your guests, and i will keep him busy until the big event.
Jack: Thanks.
Diane: Mm-hmm.
Traci: Oh! Victoria! Nikki!
Nikki: Hello!
Traci: Thank you so much for coming.
Victoria: Hello. I’m so sorry that I missed summer and kyle’s wedding in milan, so I’m grateful to have a second chance.
Nikki: And victor would have loved to have been here, but he couldn’t come —
Jack: But he won’T…be here. You don’t have to explain. We know.
Phyllis: Ah. Hey, nikki. Can I steal nikki away? I need to talk to you about summer’s dress.
Nikki: Oh. Excuse me.
Victoria: This is beautiful.
Phyllis: Hey. So, um, diane is here.
Nikki: Yeah, I know. I saw her.
Phyllis: Yeah. She keeps on insinuating herself into this family, playing the reformed sinner. I mean…
Nikki: It’s total sham. She has to be stopped, nikki. I hope — I so hope you found something in L.A.
Nikki: I have proof that she has been lying about her time there.
Noah: Alright, everybody it is approaching that time, so if you could please make your way to the backyard, the ceremony will begin soon.
Jack: Thanks. Ladies.
Traci: Oh, here we go.
Victoria: Jack. Thank you.
Nikki: A reckoning is coming. Want your clothes to smell freshly
Mariah: Welcome, everybody. If you could please take your seats.
Tessa: Thank you so much for joining us today.
Noah: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to kyle and summer’s renewal of their wedding vows.
[ Applause ] So, the bride and the groom — they left it up to the three of us to decide who would be officiating today.
Mariah: And each of us had a pretty good claim for why we deserved the job.
Tessa: So we argued and fought and argued some more.
Noah: And the conclusion that we came up with is…
Mariah: All three of us are going to do it.
[ Laughter ]
Tessa: We figured a love as big and strong as summer and kyle’s could handle three officiants.
[ Applause ]
Kyle: I’m glad this is the arrangement you agreed on — the three of you. I love it.
Diane: Okay, it’s your turn. Come on. Stand up. Alright. You go do your thing.
