Steffy: I swear, thomas, if dad stays with that woman, I don’t know…
Thomas: I don’t see how he could. I mean, we’re talking about his wife and deacon sharpe boozing it up and making out.
Steffy: It’s worse than that. That loser spent the night in dad’s bed with dad’s wife.
Thomas: Right? But they were, uh, “fully clothed and it was over the sheets”, like that excuses anything.
Steffy: Apparently, it does for hope, making every excuse imaginable for what brooke did that night.
Thomas: I’m guessing you gave hope a firm talking to about this whole thing?
Steffy: I did. Just like how mom undoubtedly did with brooke.
Thomas: Speaking of which, shouldn’t we have heard from mom by now?
Steffy: I think mom and dad are together. They have to be. I’m sure dad confronted brooke–
Thomas: Maybe not.
Steffy: Mom. Mom, what– what? What happened?
Thomas: What’s going on?
Steffy: What’s going on with dad?
Thomas: Is dad okay?
Steffy: What happened with dad and brooke?
Taylor: Let me get a word in.
Thomas: We just want to know what’s going on.
Taylor: I know.
Steffy: Yeah. Is it over with dad and brooke?
Taylor: Not according to brooke.
Thomas: What?
Steffy: What?
Taylor: Yes. Not only is she confident that she and ridge will get past what she did with deacon… she also claims that your father professed his undying love to her.
Hope: I still can’t believe taylor went and told ridge everything before my mom even had a chance to. You know, if she had just stayed out of it and steffy too, the–
Liam: Well, what did– what did steffy say exactly?
Hope: Well, for starters, she’s basically rooting for my mother’s marriage to end.
Liam: You know, we don’t know that it has ended.
Hope: I still haven’t heard from her and I’m worried because I’ve tried texting, I’ve called, I’ve left voicemail–
Liam: Okay, but– but just try not to go there right now because your mom and ridge have overcome challenge after challenge after challenge in their relationship. There’s no reason to think they can’t overcome this too.
Hope: Well, I hope you’re right. At least for my mom’s sake. I think I should try calling– mom. Oh, my gosh, I’ve been so worried. You okay? What is it? Mom. What happened?
Steffy: No, no, brooke is just saying that to you–
Taylor: Honey, we knew your father was gonna have a difficult time with this.
Steffy: Yeah, but he can’t ignore what happened with brooke and deacon that night.
Thomas: I think steffy’s right. Brooke’s gotta be lying. It doesn’t really make sense. Okay, so she cheats on dad and then he professes his undying love for her?
Taylor: I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. But, I don’t think she was lying to me. What’s the point?
Thomas: Uh, to save face in front of you?
Steffy: Keep from admitting that she lost dad for good this time.
Taylor: Only she hasn’t lost him.
Steffy: But we don’t know that yet. Not ’til we talk to dad. Then, we’ll figure out everything. Dad. Oh, my goodness.
Thomas: What the hell happened to your face?
Taylor: Who did this to you?
Ridge: It’s not as bad as it looks–
Steffy: It was deacon, wasn’t it?
Thomas: Oh, you went after him for sleeping with your wife.
Ridge: He didn’t sleep with my wife the way you mean. But yeah, he got what was coming to him.
Steffy: What about brooke? Did she get what was coming to her after deceiving you with deacon? The lies, the secrets, telling a little boy to keep quiet? And, despite all of that, you told her that you love her?
Steffy: How could you do that?
Hope: Did you talk to ridge?
Liam: Because we know you were planning to?
Brooke: Yes.
Hope: So, yes, you did talk to him or yes, you were able to tell him the truth?
Brooke: Yes, I did talk to him and I told him the truth. But, I think I was too late because apparently ridge learned about deacon and me through a taylor.
Hope: Uh, yeah, we– or, I know.
Brooke: You know?
Hope: Yes, steffy told me.
Brooke: Oh, of course. Yeah. I’m sure she was thrilled to spread the news.
Hope: Well, um, did ridge at least listen to your side of things?
Brooke: Yes, he most certainly did. Though, I’m not sure that it makes much of a difference now.
Ridge: Okay. Here we go.
Taylor: Here you go. Put this on.
Ridge: Ah, it’s not necessary–
Taylor: Yeah, it is.
Thomas: You look like hell.
Ridge: Yeah, you should see the other guy.
Thomas: Ha.
Steffy: Deacon deserved it after what he and brooke did.
Taylor: You know, steffy, just call finn, maybe, and see if he can come by–
Ridge: Oh, stop. Leave him at the hospital.
Steffy: Dad, no–
Ridge: Honestly, stop.
Taylor: You stop.
Ridge: No, no, I’m fine. It’s not necessary to push him to come over here.
Steffy: What?
Thomas: Why not?
Ridge: Because the kids don’t need to see me like this.
Steffy: No, kelly’s out. And hayes is sleeping. It’s okay.
Thomas: So, deacon got what was coming to him, right?
Steffy: Like brooke? Because it’s not all deacon. Brooke’s responsible, too.
Thomas: You can’t let her get away with this, dad.
Steffy: Do not let brooke get away with this. This is the sound of nature breathing.
Ridge: You chose deacon
over me.
Brooke: No, no, I–
I didn’t do that. No.
Ridge: I told you
he was gonna put a wedge
between us.
I told you he was going
to ruin everything.
And you invited him
into our house.

But, I’m tired. I can’t–
I can’t do this anymore.
Hope: I know taylor got to ridge first, which was not her place but once you were finally able to talk to ridge and tell him your side of things, was he able to understand and forgive you?
Brooke: It’s just heartbreaking, seeing how much I hurt him. How much I let him down.
Hope: But you didn’t mean to, mom. You would never knowingly cause ridge pain.
Liam: Yeah, ridge has to realize that. He knows what’s in your heart, the– the love you have for him.
Hope: And, his love for you. He’s never stopped loving you, mom and your love has been tested over the years. And yet, it still remains.
Brooke: I know. I do. Ridge was very protective of me. He said, well, he insisted, that deacon spiked my drink somehow, got me drunk, but that isn’t what happened, honey. I drank on my own and deacon tried to stop me.
Hope: And were you able to tell ridge that?
Brooke: Yes. But, I still don’t understand what gave me that urge to drink in the first place.
Liam: Hey brooke, that’s an answer you may never get, but from how it sounds, ridge understands that the reason you weren’t yourself that night is because of alcohol.
Brooke: I just really thought that we were going to work through this.
Hope: “Thought”? Mom, what do you mean, “thought”?
Steffy: Brooke betrayed you. Not just with anyone, with deacon. You have to hold her accountable.
Thomas: She’s been doing things like this for so long. It’s gotta stop.
Steffy: She needs to understand that she can never do that to you again.
Thomas: Let what brooke did with deacon be the final straw.
Taylor: Okay, guys– listen. Both of you. We’re all going through a lot right now, but you’re really putting your father on the spot.
Steffy: We’re tired of brooke sticking it to him!
Thomas: Yeah, and we’ve watched it happen repeatedly. Enough, already–
Ridge: I heard you, both of you!
Taylor: This is a lot for your dad to process.
Thomas: What does he have to process?
Steffy: We don’t want dad to go through this again.
Thomas: And, he will go through this again with brooke because she never learns.
Steffy: No, she doesn’T. He already warned her to stay away from deacon and she didn’t listen. The moment you turned away, she was kissing him. She slept in your bed with deacon, the man that you despise.
Taylor: Okay, okay, just give him some time. Okay, please. This is a lot. Plus, he just got in a fight with deacon.
Ridge: I still think he did something to make her drink.
Thomas: Okay, let’s say he did. That doesn’t absolve brooke of anything.
Steffy: Mom talked to brooke. Brooke gave her the impression that you forgave her. I–I don’t care what excuses she had or how hard she threw deacon under the bus, but–
Ridge: She didn’t throw him under the bus. She was making sure he was okay. She was defending him. Goal!
Brooke: Ridge was furious with deacon. He thought that I had been victimized, that he orchestrated this whole night and he got me drunk. And then, he just left. He said he needed some fresh air. Then, taylor stopped by. She wanted to tell me that she knew what happened between me and deacon that night. Which I was already aware of because she told ridge.
Hope: So, in other words, she came by to gloat.
Liam: Yeah.
Brooke: Yeah, it certainly seemed that way. She was trying to act professional. She made it very clear that she believes that I drank in order, “to give myself permission,” to be with deacon, which isn’t true at all.
Hope: Of course it’s not. Did you tell her that?
Brooke: Yes, I did. But at that point, I was so worried about ridge and if he went to see your father. Made me nervous, so I ran out of here and I went to il giardino.
Liam: Did you find ridge with deacon?
Brooke: Yes, I did. It was horrible. They were there. They were both bloody, they were fighting.
Liam: What?
Briijel ridge was punching him over and over again.
Hope: Oh, my god.
Brooke: I know, I ran in there and I pulled them apart. I told ridge to stop it, that deacon didn’t do anything wrong. I did. And, he just stopped and looked at me. And he couldn’t believe that I was defending deacon. And at that moment, everything just…shifted.
Hope: Shifted how?
Brooke: Ugh. He told me that he believed me, you know, when that happened with bill, that something like that would never happen again. And yet, there it is. I did the same thing.
Hope: Mom. Hey.
Brooke: But he loves me, honey. I know he does. He told me he loves me. But, then he told me he– he couldn’t take it anymore. And he turned around and he walked out that door. And– I’m just afraid that I may have lost my soulmate forever.
Steffy: Brooke actually defended deacon to you?
Ridge: Yeah. And I don’t get it, after everything this bastard’s done to her. And now, she expects me to–
Thomas: Just forgive and forget? That’s classic brooke logan. She breaks your trust and then she turns on the waterworks.
Steffy: And tells you that you two are destiny and you forgive her, like you always do.
Ridge: Well, this time’s different.
Taylor: How is it different?
Ridge: It’s different because I can’t do this anymore. First, it’s spencer and now deacon. It’s too much.
Thomas: You’re damn right it’s too much. It’s a never ending cycle with that woman. Enough is enough.
Steffy: I agree, dad. I know it’s hard walking away from your marriage but–
Taylor: He didn’t say he was walking away from his marriage.
Steffy: Well, did you? Did you end it with brooke?
Ridge: I had to.
Steffy: Oh, dad. I’m sorry that brooke did this to you. But, maybe it’s good to finally be free of her, free of all of brooke’s toxicity and drama. It’s really nice to know that you came here, home to your family, the people who love you and who would never let you down.

Liam: Hey, brooke. Ridge is upset. He’s angry… right now, but he’s going to cool off.
Hope: We know you’re scared, mom. But if this is something that you want, you can’t give up.
Brooke: I’m not gonna give up on us. I will never give up on ridge and me. But you know what, you’re right. I am scared. Because when he walked out, it seemed like it was over. And, it can’t be, honey. It can’t be over.
Liam: Where did he go when he left il giardino? Do you know?
Hope: Pretty safe bet that he went to his other family.
Liam: Oh…
Brooke: I know he needed some time, but if he did go see steffy, thomas and taylor, they’re going to just pile on. I really need to speak with ridge.
Taylor: Steffy, your father knows that he can depend on us, that we’ll be here for him whenever we can.
Thomas: Unlike brooke, who only thinks about herself and her needs.
Ridge: Okay.
Steffy: Another man and another conquest.
Thomas: She loves that. She loves being pursued, worshipped even. It’s not enough for her to have a man who’s devoted to her. Nope.
Steffy: Dad, you stood by brooke for so much, for so many years and this is how she repays you? By sharing a bed, your bed, with the man who got her pregnant while he was married to her daughter. This is the man that you can’t stand. But did that stop her from bringing deacon back into your life, into her life? Of course not! Because brooke logan plays by her own rules. To hell with who she hurts, including you.
Taylor: Steffy.
Steffy: You see that now, right? You see that it’s never gonna be different. Brooke is never going to be different, dad. How can you live this way? You need to let go of brooke, let go of all the scandals and the heartache. Come back to us.
[ Phone beeping ]
Brooke: Ridge, I’m sorry, I am. I love you so much and I refuse to give up on us and our life together so please just, just call me back. We need to talk.
[ Brooke sighing ]
Steffy: This is where you’re cherished, respected. This is your family. Let us be here for you. Let us be the family that you need. Please, dad. Please come home to us.
