Belle: [Gasps]

Shawn: Belle? What’s-what’s-what’s wrong?

Belle: I just had the most awful nightmare.

Shawn: About what?

Belle: My mom was possessed by the devil–again.

Ben: Baby, you just took that test last night. I assume it’s still potive?

Ciara: Yes, it is positive. We are still pregnant. I just–I can’t believe it.

Ben: Why? Because it happened immediately after you stopped taking your pill?

Ciara: Well, I knew it was possible. But it still kind of just seemed like a one-in-a-million chance, you know.

Ben: Mm.

Melinda: Please don’t tell me you’re gonna count it.

Xander: No, I’ll trust you ’cause you know there’ll be hell to pay if it’s not all there. It’s been real–

Melinda: I don’t regret at all to inform you that you won’t be spending a penny of this.

Xander: What are you talking about?

Melinda: Because you’re gonna be giving the money to me.

Xander: Why exactly would I do that?

Melinda: Because if you don’t, I will blow your girlfriend’s life sky-high.

Xander: Since you just dropped some pretty serious charges against me, I’ll say this politely, but I do not take kindly to anyone who threatens the people I care about.

Melinda: I’m not threatening anyone, mr. Cook. As district attorney, I simply have a duty to expose the truth.

Xander: What truth?

Melinda: I know gwen rizczech’s dirty little secret.

Jack: What are you so angry about?

Abigail: Her.

Jack: I don’t understand. You told me that you had apologized to gwen and she accepted.

Abigail: Well, I’m here to take back that apology because I now know that my sister has been lying through her teeth again.

Jack: Lying? About what?

Abigail: Losing the baby. Turns out I didn’t have anything to do with it.

[Dramatic music]

Male announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the “days of our lives.”

[Soft orchestration]

Ben: When you looked online, the website said that if you stop taking your pills in the middle of a pack, which you did, you could get pregnant right away.

Ciara: Yes. It also said that it’s rare.

Ben: We’re rare. We beat the odds.

Ciara: Kind of feels like it’s a little more than that though. Kind of feels like a miracle to me.

Ben: Ah, I mean, it is a miracle.

Ciara: Yeah.

Ben: You’re pregnant.

Ciara: I’m pregnant.

Ben: You’re pregnant.

Ciara: I’m pregnant.

Ben: I mean, it’s amazing. It’s mind-blowing, but, I mean, people do conceive children every single day.

Ciara: So you’re not surprised?

Ben: Not really. I mean, we’re young, we’re healthy. We’re very, very good at doing what you need to do to get pregnant the old-fashioned way.

Ciara: Yes, we are. Do you think that it happened after the first time we tried?

Ben: Maybe. Although we did do it like bunch of times after.

Ciara: Yeah, we did, but we did both agree that the first time felt different. Was special. After we had wondered out loud, if I was pregnant, a big gust of wind came in through the window and–

Ben: Scared the hell outta me because I thought it was a bad omen.

Ciara: Maybe it wasn’t a bad omen. Maybe it was a good omen.

Belle: She just kept– she kept saying over and over in this really creepy voice, “expect the unexpected.”

Shawn: What do you think it means?

Belle: I don’t know. You know, it was, like–like, it was kind of an inside joke, and she just kept cackling like a maniac. Ugh, I can still hear it.

Shawn: Well, it’s not real. All right?

Belle: No, I know. I know. It’s probably just a combination of jet lag and seeing her in that weird halloween costume yesterday dressed as the devil with those creepy contact lenses that made her eyes look like they were glowing. Anyway, I’m sorry I woke you.

Shawn: No, no, no, no. I’m sorry. I’m sorry you had to see your mom like that. I mean, it must be difficult, given her history, so–

Belle: Yeah.

Shawn: Come here. Come here. Maybe we can go back to sleep now.

Belle: Okay.

Shawn: Mm-hmm.

Belle: Yeah, no. I’m wide awake.

Shawn: What?

Belle: No. And we’ve been asleep for like 12 hours. Thank you, international travel.

Shawn: Well, since we are both awake now, I mean, I gotta confess that I am having some devilish thoughts myself.

Belle: Oh, yeah?

Shawn: Mm-hmm.

Belle: What do you have in mind, mr. Brady?

Shawn: Well, I don’t know. Maybe I could lead you into temptation.

Belle: I’d like to see you try.

Shawn: Challenge accepted, mrs. Brady.

[Both laughing]

[Romantic music]

Xander: Secret? I’m not sure I know what you’re referring to.

Melinda: Oh, I’m sorry. I just assumed that you knew since gwen’s your girlfriend and you’re not the one that she’s been deceiving all these months.

Xander: And who would that be?

Melinda: Her father, jack deveraux. And as I said, I have a duty to bring the truth to light. So I’m just gonna go to his house right now and tell him what his daughter has done.

Gwen: Abigail, I already admitted that I lied about what happened when I lost my baby.

Jack: That’s right. She did.

Gwen: You said some really vicious things to me at the house that day. You said that I would be a horrible mother. So I wanted to hurt you the way that you hurt me. And I said that you pushed me down the stairs, but that wasn’t true. It was just horrible, tragic accident.

Abigail: It was horrible and it was tragic. But I wouldn’t exactly call it an accident.

Jack: Abigail, please–

Chad: Let her finish, j

Gwen: I fell down those stairs on accident. And I lost my baby.

Abigail: Both those statements are true but not in that order. Right, gwen?

Jack: What is she talking about?

Abigail: Do you want me to take this one, sis, hmm? Did you wanna do it or should I?

Gwen: Why are you doing this? You hate me so much.

Chad: Don’T. You’ve put her through enough. Don’t you blame her for this.

Abigail: I still feel terrible that we got into that argument. I feel terrible that you ended up in the hospital, but it is time for the truth to come out. And I do mean the whole truth this time.

Gwen: I-I-I don’t– I-I don’t know what she’s talking about.

Abigail: Mm, yeah, you do. You and I both know damn well that you lost that baby before you fell down the stairs. It’s my 4:05 the-show-must-go-on

Ben: So…we can either stay here and wonder if we’re having a baby, or we can head to the hospital and find out for sure.

Ciara: Let’s do it.

Ben: Yeah?

Ciara: Yeah.

Ben: Or we just assume that test is wrong and we stay here.

Ciara: Oh, yeah. And why would we do that?

Ben: So we can keep trying.

Ciara: Are you sure you’re up for it?

Ben: Always. And you are too. I can see.

Ciara: You know what? Let’s go to the hospital, see if I’m carrying your child. And if I’m not, we’ll come right back here and we pick up right where we left off.

Belle: So great that ben and ciara are trying to have a baby.

Shawn: Yeah. Yeah. I just hope they’re not rushing things. I mean–I mean, why don’t they enjoy being newlyweds for a little while and you know, I mean, start a family in a few years, you know?

Belle: Oh, come on. After everything they’ve been through, makes sense that they wouldn’t wanna take anything for granted. Especially their time together. Truth is, none of us know what tomorrow may bring.

Shawn: Yeah. Speaking about imaginable events, I am gonna go to the hospital. I’m gonna visit abe. Do you wanna come?

Belle: Oh, no, but I’ll meet you there later. I’m gonna go check on my mom.

Shawn: And make sure she’s not possessed by the devil?

Belle: Okay. I know it’s a little nuts, but I-I just–I need to see her out of that costume so I can get that image out of my head.

Kayla: Well, I think I need to say my goodbyes. I have to get back to work.

Steve: Wait. One more thing. Before we got called over here for the wedding, you said there’s a chance that gwen is lying to jack again.

Kayla: That’s what abigail told me.

Steve: Lying about what?

Kayla: Well, you know how gwen claimed that dr. Snyder used his knowledge of her past as a sex worker to blackmail her into delivering his drugs. Well, abigail doesn’t believe that. She thinks that whatever he’s– was holding against her is much worse.

Steve: Like what?

Kayla: Well, she’s not sure, but she’s hoping that there’s a clue in snyder’s office. So I let her look through it.

Steve: Is that allowed?

Kayla: Well, the drug case is closed. And I removed all the medical files, so I just didn’t see any reason to say no.

Steve: So she thought she might find some answers in the guy’s personal belongings?

Kayla: I guess.

Steve: Well, I don’t have to tell you how much I love abigail. I really hope she comes up empty on this one, for jack’s sake.

Kayla: You said he was in good spirits this morning.

Steve: Yeah. Because trask dropped the charges against gwen.

Kayla: Oh, thanks to you.

Steve: No matter what she’s done, she’s still my niece, just like abigail. I couldn’t let her go to prison. But to hear she’s still keeping secrets…

Kayla: Well, we don’t know for sure.

Steve: Well, I know that jack thinks she’s changed. That she’s not out for revenge anymore, and they’re on their way to being a family. I’d hate to see that undone.

Kayla: I think that abigail feels the same way.

Steve: She does?

Kayla: Yeah. I mean, she told me that she hopes that her suspicion is wrong. She doesn’t want to hurt her father or her sister. She just wants to know the truth. She needs to know the truth. No matter what it is.

Steve: Well, jack believes that they can put all the bad blood behind them. So I say we stay optimistic too.

Jack: Abigail, what are you saying?

Abigail: I’m saying that gwen was no longer pregnant when she fell down the stairs.

Jack: I-I’m-I’m lost.

Abigail: You know the secret that dr. Snyder was holding over her?

Jack: Of course. Of course, I do. She was a–she was a sex worker in philadelphia.

Abigail: Gwen–gwen was not a sex worker. Okay. Tell him. Would you just–would you just tell him that this was another one of your stupid, stupid lies?

Jack: Why would she lie about that?

Chad: Because the truth was worse.

Abigail: Gwen watched drugs kill her mother. Why on earth would she agree to deliver opioids?

Jack: Because snyder threatened her. He was gonna come to me and tell me about her past.

Abigail: But why on earth would that be so threatening, hmm? Gwen has done horrible things to our family. She drugged me. She tried to blow up your relationship and mine. She got into a fight with my grandma that resulted in her death and you forgave her of all of it. So why would she be afraid to tell you that she sold her body in the past to survive? It doesn’t make any sense.

Jack: She’s ashamed. She’s ashamed. She thinks it’s one more thing that-that-that’s gonna make her look bad next to you.

Abigail: Yeah. Mm-mm. I never bought any of that.

Jack: Okay, you didn’t, but what does this have to do with gwen losing her baby?

Abigail: I will tell you. The day that gwen showed up at the house and I said those horrible, horrible things to her, she was coming from the hospital where she was treated for severe abdominal pain.

Jack: That can’t be right.

Abigail: I am truly sorry, but it is. Dr. Snyder examined her, found that her baby did not have a heartbeat because she had miscarried. So, of course, when she arrived back at the hospital later that day, dr. Snyder knew that her fall down the stairs had nothing to do with why she lost the baby.

Chad: And it quickly became clear to him that she didn’t want us to know about that.

Abigail: Gwen wanted everyone to think that I was responsible for killing her unborn child. Dr. Snyder knew how desperate she was to keep the real story from coming out. And that is what he was using to blackmail her.

Chad: And even after she admitted the fall was an accident, she still let us believe that abigail was partly to blame. That if they hadn’t fought on the stairs, she wouldn’t have lost the baby.

Abigail: But the truth is, when we got into that argument, she wasn’t even pregnant anymore.

Jack: Is this true?

Belle: Guess nobody’s here. All right. It was just a costume. It wasn’t real. Just like the nightmare wasn’t real.

[Knocking on door] Who is it?

Steve: It’s steve.

Belle: Oh.

[Sighs]

Steve: Oh. You okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.

Belle: Something like that. Come on in.

Steve: I wasn’t expecting to see you here. I thought you were in south africa visiting claire.

Belle: Yeah. Shawn and I got back last night.

Steve: Well, how’s she doing?

Belle: Oh, she’s great. She’s great. It was a really–it was a really positive move for her. And– I’m sorry I-I just lost my train of thought. I’m just out of it from the time difference.

Steve: Oh, it’s okay. So where is everyone?

Belle: I don’t know. I came by to see my mom, and nobody was here.

Steve: Oh, that’s too bad. I was hoping to talk to your dad about some business.

Belle: My dad? He’s out of town on a case.

Steve: What case is that?

[Elevator bell dings]

Shawn: Ben? Hey, what’s going on? What are you doing here?

Ben: Oh, it’s ciara. She’s in there with kayla right now.

Shawn: Is something wrong?

Ben: Well, if you consider possibly being pregnant wrong.

Shawn: What? That’s-that’s amazing. Wow.

Ben: Surprised?

Shawn: Yeah. I mean, I’m surprised. Of course, I’m surprised. I mean–I mean, just last night you were just telling belle and I how you guys were gonna start trying to have one.

Ben: Yeah. It’s crazy, man. Ciara was saying that she was feeling a little queasy. She went and picked up a pregnancy test and it came back positive.

Shawn: Wow. Wow.

Ben: Yeah. Wow, wow.

Shawn: Hey. Are you still worried about you and ciara having a baby?

Kayla: All righty. I will get the lab to put a rush on this.

Ciara: And then I’ll know for sure. Wow. It must be such a huge moment finding out that you’re gonna be a mom knowing that your life is going to change forever.

Kayla: You have no idea.

Ciara: You know what, kayla? I think I just got a little scared.

Kayla: That is perfectly normal.

Ciara: Really?

Kayla: Yes. Having a baby is a big deal and there are gonna be times that you’re gonna be scared. But it’s also one of the most rewarding experiences that you’ll ever have.

[Light music]

Xander: Sorry. I still have no idea what you’re talking about.

Melinda: That’s how you wanna play this? Fine. I’ll humor you. The other day, I overheard you and ms. Rizczech chatting in this very room.

Xander: Oh, you mean when gwen wanted to see me and you so generously gave us all of 15 minutes.

Melinda: And oh, boy, did I learn a lot in that short amount of time.

Xander: You were eavesdropping on us?

Melinda: Certainly you had no expectation of privacy. This isn’t your living room, mr. Cook.

Xander: So what exactly do you think you heard?

Melinda: That ms. Rizczech has never been a sex worker. And that she’s been lying to everyone about the timing of her miscarriage. Oh, and I believe she said that her father would never forgive her if he ever found out that she was letting her sister abigail take the blame for the death of her baby when, in fact, she did nothing wrong.

Xander: You must have misunderstood.

Melinda: I think I understood perfectly. My guess is that gwen had already miscarried before her little tumble down the stairs, and then she lied about it after the fact.

Xander: That’s absurd.

Melinda: You’re certainly entitled to your own opinion. But I wanna know what mr. Deveraux thinks about it. So I’m just gonna run by him.

Xander: Wait.

Melinda: That’s what I thought.

Gwen: I don’t know where abigail got this insane idea from. Maybe she’s off her meds, or maybe she’s having some sort of a psychotic break. I don’t know ’cause I don’t know at all what she’s talking about.

Jack: Sweetheart, abigail, I know that you-you feel guilty about what happened with gwen’s baby.

Abigail: What does that have to do with anything?

Jack: I’m just wondering if this–this story might be a way to assuage that guilt.

Abigail: It’s not a story, dad, it is the truth.

Gwen: Really? Really? Do you have proof? Do you have any sort of evidence whatsoever to support this outrageous accusation? You know, snyder is dead. He’s in hell. And unless he’s risen from his grave, there’s no way you could have gotten this rubbish from him.

Abigail: I didn’t need to ’cause I have it all right here in your chart.

[Dramatic music]

As a dj, I know all about customization.

Steve: What makes you think john is away on a case?

Belle: My mom said he was.

Steve: Marlena said john left town on business for black patch?

Belle: She said that he left town on an important case. Why? Is something wrong?

Steve: It’s just the first I’m hearing about it, that’s all.

Belle: Is that unusual? That he wouldn’t tell you?

Steve: Not necessarily. I just did a solo job for victor kiriakis.

Belle: Okay. So one hand doesn’t always know what the other hand is doing.

Steve: Exactly. So if your mom said john is off on a case, must be true.

Ciara: As always, marlena has been such a huge help to ben. He’s had some worries about becoming a father. He’s scared that our child will develop his mental illness.

Kayla: Well, that is an understandable concern. But you both will be caring and attentive parents, and if you see anything off, you’ll get help right away.

Ciara: Absolutely. And marlena has helped ben see that his fear shouldn’t stop him from starting a family and clearly it hasn’t because here I am. But you know, given his psychological history and the way he grew up, I’m kinda scared that the worry may never go away.

Kayla: Well, what do you think?

Ciara: Well, I think he’s gonna be an excellent father. He’s gonna be everything that clyde never was for him. Clyde made ben’s childhood an absolute living hell, and our child is gonna be surrounded by nothing but love.

Shawn: Look, at dinner last night, you said that you were nervous about becoming a parent.

Ben: Well, dr. Evans helped me get past that. Plus, half of our baby’s genes is gonna belong to ciara. And she’s gonna be, like, the best mother ever, so.

Shawn: This is true. When my sister loves, man, she loves with everything she’s got. I can only imagine how fierce her love’s gonna be when it’s maternal.

Melinda: Here’s the deal. I’m gonna take what’s in this briefcase, and in exchange, I agree not to say a word to jack devereaux or anyone else about what I know.

Xander: Oh. So madame district attorney doesn’t really care about blackmail as long as she’s the one getting paid.

Melinda: The money’s not for me.

Xander: Then why do you want it?

Melinda: That’s personal.

Xander: And that’s a million dollars. The least you can do is tell me what you’re gonna do with it.

Melinda: I’m gonna use the money to honor my daughter’s memory.

Xander: Are you gonna donate it to the hospital?

Melinda: Haley did love being a nurse. But I thought about how I could do the greatest amount of good and help the most amount of people in a way that would truly be meaningful to haley. So I’ve decided I’m starting a legal defense fund to assist undocumented immigrants.

Xander: Oh, yeah, I remember she was almost deported.

Melinda: I was able to pull some strings at the last minute, but most parents don’t have a senator on speed dial. I want to be able to offer them resources, information, hope. There’s nothing more I can do for my daughter, but maybe I can help someone else’S.

Gwen: Where did you get that? My medical records are private.

Abigail: We found it in dr. Snyder’s office inside of a book called “miscarriage of justice.”

Chad: It’s a record of your first visit to the hospital. The one snyder agreed to keep secret if you run drugs for him.

Gwen: You broke into his office?

Abigail: Aunt kayla let us in.

Gwen: That’s illegal. I can have you arrested.

Jack: Everything abigail said is right here in snyder’s notes. It says you saw him that morning complaining of pain. He did an ultrasound that showed you’d miscarried.

Abigail: Before she fell down the stairs.

Jack: By then you knew. You already knew you’d lost your baby.

[Dramatic music]

Your heart is at the heart of everything you do.

Shawn: So what’s the verdict?

Ciara: Why, hello, bro. What are you doing here?

Shawn: Well, I came here to check up on abe run into ben. So what did the test say, huh?

Ciara: Oh, okay, easy. Aunt kayla put a rush on the test results, but we don’t know if you’re gonna be an uncle just yet. Or if you are going to be a father.

[Sighs] You guys.

Shawn: [Sighs]

[Light music]

Xander: Look. As an immigrant myself, I think what you’re doing is actually quite noble. But why do you have to do it with my money?

Melinda: Well, I did a little math to figure out what your lies have cost the taxpayers. Turns out, that’s a pretty tidy sum. After all the time and energy I and the hardworking people in my office have wasted on your high crimes and misdemeanors, I figured you’re not really entitled to this money.

Xander: Well, that is quite a stretch.

Melinda: I’m not interested in your opinion. But the choice is yours. If you don’t really care about protecting ms. Rizczech’s relationship with her father, then you can take this money and go.

Xander: Fine, keep it. But just to be clear, if I give you this cash, then I have your word that you will never say anything to jack about gwen’s secret.

Melinda: I swear to you, jack devereaux won’t hear it from me.

[Dramatic music]

Chad: How? How could you do this? I mean, you came between abigail and me once already. You were on a mission to ruin our marriage when you seduced me and got pregnant?

Gwen: I didn’t know that that would happen.

Chad: But it did. And as devastating as that was, my wife found a way to rise above and handle it with grace.

Gwen: Grace? Was that really graceful the way she screamed at me at the top of the stairs?

Chad: She said she regretted it. And my wife had nothing to do with what happened to that baby. Yet, you let her believe that she did. But she felt so guilty that she left town. She left me, she left our children.

Gwen: Abigail told me that she wanted to be rid of me and my baby. She meant that. She asked me to get an abortion.

Chad: And you told me that having the baby had nothing to do with hurting abigail, yet that was a lie.

Abigail: She wants to hurt all of us. After all of the understanding and the forgiveness that we have shown her, she’s still deceiving us and causing us pain. It’s all she knows how to do.

Gwen: Oh, yeah, because you are so perfect.

Abigail: I am far from it. But I was raised by loving people and so I know how to love. You weren’t, so you don’t know how to love anyone but yourself, and I feel sorry for you, gwen. I really do. I wish things could be different between us. But it’s very obvious to me now that they can’T. You’re a toxic person, and I don’t want you in my life.

[Dramatic music]

Jack: I can’t believe I didn’t see this coming. How could I have been so blind?

Gwen: I’m sorry.

Jack: I trusted you. I supported you. And my other daughter told me that all you wanted was to hurt me and our family. Why, gwen? Why would you do this?

Trelegy for copd.

Ciara: Oh, my god.

Kayla: Well, I have your results.

Ciara: Are you ready?

Ben: If you’re ready.

Ciara: Oh, my god. Okay, tell us.

Kayla: Congratulations. The two of you are gonna have a baby.

[Laughter and cheering]

Abigail: Thank you.

Chad: You haven’t said much since we got home. Are you okay?

Abigail: Actually, I think I am, you know. I have just spent so much of the last six months blaming myself for gwen’s miscarriage, and now that the truth is out, I don’t have to do that anymore. And I feel like this huge wave has just been lifted off of my chest. I just–

Chad: And… dropped on gwen.

Gwen: Abigail was wrong.

Jack: It’s all here in black and white.

Gwen: Not about that. I did lie about my miscarriage. I did. I lost my baby hours before I fell down the stairs. But she was wrong when she said that I don’t know how to love.

Jack: Really? I think she was right on the money. Your family turned the other cheek for you, opened their hearts to you. My brother kept you from going to prison.

Gwen: I know.

Jack: On how–how to treat other people… you don’t know a damn thing.

Gwen: I may not be very good with relationships, but I do know that how I feel about you is how a daughter should feel about her father. I feel grateful. And I feel safe. For the first time in my whole miserable life, I actually feel value as a human. I–I feel like somebody actually cares about me, I matter to somebody.

Jack: Then why would you lie to me?

Gwen: ‘Cause I didn’t want to lose all we have, ’cause it means more to me than anything else in this world. I couldn’t bear the thought of you looking at me the way that you are looking at me now, with so much anger and contempt. I knew that any love that you’ve hoped for me or any sort of connection that we had would be gone the minute that you found out what I’ve done. Now I can see that I was right. Please, dad.

Jack: No. Don’t– don’t you call me that.

Gwen: Dad? Jack? Please.

[Dramatic music]

Doesn’t your family deserve the best?

Xander: Oh. I have good news and bad news.

Gwen: Whatever it is, I’m sure it doesn’t hold a candle to mine.

Xander: What’s happened?

[Dramatic music]

Gwen: I just lost my father.

Xander: Wait, something happened to jack?

Gwen: Yes. They found out that I was lying about my miscarriage.

Xander: Oh, that bitch.

Gwen: How did you know it was abigail?

Xander: Abigail?

Gwen: Yeah, she figured the whole thing out.

Xander: How?

Gwen: Her aunt kayla let her and chad into snyder’s office. And they found my original chart, and then they brought it back here and they told jack everything. He’s furious. He wants absolutely nothing to do with me.

Xander: Oh, gwen, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry, love.

Melinda: I swear to you, jack deveraux won’t hear it from me.

Xander: It’s going to be okay, I– I promise.

Chad: I’m so glad you don’t have to carry around that guilt anymore. I know that was one of the big issues that kept us apart.

Abigail: I’m not going anywhere. Thank you for your patience.

Chad: Thank you for being so forgiving.

Abigail: Obviously, I’m very glad that the truth has come out. But I just feel…horrible that my dad is so hurt. I think he was really starting to care for gwen. I don’t know if their relationship will survive this.

Kayla: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Hey.

Steve: The nurse at the desk told me I could find you in here.

Kayla: Something wrong?

Steve: I went over to john’s place to talk to him about some business. Belle was there. She said marlena told her john went out of town on a case.

Kayla: And he didn’t tell you about it?

Steve: He didn’t tell anybody. I called the office, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Kayla: Did you try calling him?

Steve: Multiple times. He’s not answering. He’s not calling back. Something’s not right here, baby.

[Elevator bell dings]

Shawn: Hey.

Belle: How’s abe?

Shawn: Oh, I haven’t had the chance to get in and see him yet.

Belle: Why not?

Shawn: ‘Cause I ran into ben and ciara. And I have good news. Ciara’s pregnant.

Belle: Oh! That’s so wonderful. Yay.

Ben: For your prenatal vitamin.

Ciara: Wow. You know, I can really get used to this. My handsome husband waiting on me, hand and foot, that’s a good deal.

Ben: Hmm. You better get used to it. Because I’m not letting you do anything until that baby is born.

Ciara: Ben, are you really happy that I’m pregnant? And I know that you’re excited in a way and we agree that it would be a good idea to have a baby, but I need you to be honest with me. Are you still having reservations about being a dad?

Ben: No, not anymore. Ciara, I am so blessed. I’m having a baby with the woman that I love. There’s nothing more that I want in my entire life.

[Rapid knocking on door]

Ciara: Mm-hmm.

Ben: Whoa, whoa, I’m doing everything now. Remember?

Ciara: Okay.

Ben: Whoa! Susan banks? What the hell are you doing here?

Susan: I had to come. I had to come, ben. I had to. I had a premonition, yeah, yeah, about your baby.
