Julie Chen hosts Big Brother 23
Heads up on tonight’s schedule change for the latest episode of Big Brother 23 as the usual Veto competition show slips back to 10/9c as Survivor 41 takes over Big Brother’s usual 8PM slot. Once the Survivor two-hour premiere is over we’ll be jumping back into the BB23 house for the latest on the F4.
Did you know we cover Survivor too? Yes! Join us at SurvivorFandom.com for our total coverage of Survivor 41 for the return of Probst & the island in 2021. Our premiere coverage starts tonight right here on Survivor Fandom!
At the end of Friday’s episode (the usual Sunday spot was also moved) we had Xavier in control as the new Head of Household and he had just sent Azah and Kyland to the Block. Of course, nominations are largely irrelevant at this round because it all comes down to the Power of Veto. So let’s get to it.
Now with just one vote the holder of the Veto will either be casting that vote or will have that role assigned by the HOH in the case of Xavier winning it. Not many options remain at this point but after Kyland missed his chance at HOH this will be his backup shot at safety for a spot in F3.
  • CBS BIG BROTHER – Thursday, September 23 Show More
Episode 34 (Season 23) – Airing 9/23/21 (8:00 PM) – From bigbrothernetwork.com: Big Brother 23 Eviction Prediction: Who Is Going Home Week 11?
Tonight on Big Brother 23 the Final Four are faced with the final veto ceremony of the season, and the last official eviction before the season finale.
As of now, Xavier is the only one securely in that Final 3 spot. And with Derek F currently holding the sole vote to evict power, we can almost say he’s got his spot in the Final 3. But if Xavier thinks Derek can’t do what needs to be done tonight, he could still end up on the block this week. And while we don’t expect him to get voted out regardless, you can never say never when you’re not HOH at this point in the game.
So if things stay the same tonight, and Xavier does not use the Power of Veto on Azah, then we will know Derek is safe. But is he really going to take that shot at Kyland as Xavier wants him to do? As of last night, Derek was more than ready to make the move. Kyland has Derek pretty upset this week, as he feels like Kyland has been more arrogant to him that usual, and feels like Kyland is acting like he doesn’t even need Derek this week, when he actually really does.
Xavier has been playing it up to keep influencing Derek to make the move, and it is working. Last night Xavier told Derek that Kyland has probably not been that nice to Derek this week because he probably thinks Xavier will use the veto on Kyland (like Kyland did on X during that second Double Eviction), so Kyland isn’t even considering Derek a factor this week. That has just fueled Derek more.
And then Kyland called Derek cocky. And that was like the final nail in the coffin. Because Derek promises he’s not cocky. And then goes on to have nice long conversation with us (or was that just with himself?) last night, and reminded us that HE has been the puppet master this season. He has called all the shots. He has gotten out “12 of these bitches.” Nah, not cocky at all.
So now Derek wants to show Kyland just how cocky he can be when he votes him out tonight.
I think any doubts Xavier (and we) had about Derek making the move of voting out Kyland tonight have been erased. Derek has spiraled the past couple of days, and realizes now that he probably has to make this move or he might not end up in one of those Final 2 seats. There’s still a possibility he could waver at the last minute, and if Xavier gets any hint of that, Azah comes down, Derek goes up, and Azah sends Kyland to jury.
So unless Derek is pulling a fast one over on Xavier, which I really don’t think is possible, then Kyland is leaving tonight. Whether it be at the hands of Derek or Azah, Kyland will be finishing in fourth place. That is our official prediction.

Filmed at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville before Rogers’ untimely passing, the live concert features on-stage tributes, artists’ anecdotes and inspiring songs performed in front of the music icon himself, as he bid farewell to performing and announced his retirement.
Featured artists, including Chris Stapleton, Idina Menzel, Lady A, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town and Reba McEntire, sing some of Rogers’ greatest hits, such as “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “She Believes in Me,” “Through the Years,” “Lucille,” “We’ve Got Tonight” and more. In a special tribute, Rogers’ dear friend and longtime duet partner, global superstar Dolly Parton, takes the stage to share touching memories and anecdotes about Rogers, performing a series of songs that culminate in an emotional finale featuring Rogers himself.
“Kenny Rogers’ enormous impact on country music was matched only by the love all the artists and fans showed Kenny on this incredible night,” said executive producers Keith Wortman and Ken Levitan. “We are so thrilled to share this special with his friends, family and fans all around the world, as he will remain forever in our hearts.”
KENNY ROGERS: ALL IN FOR THE GAMBLER is a production of Blackbird Presents. Keith Wortman is creator and executive producer, with Ken Levitan as an executive producer.

Episode 35 (Season 23) – Airing 9/24/21 (8:00 PM) – From bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Big Brother 23: Special Night On Memory Lane
We’re down to the final three episodes of Big Brother 23 with another “new” episode tonight on CBS at 8/7c. I say “new” because it’s the old trick of a Memory Lane clip show taking us back to the long-ago times like “last week” and remember “the week before that”?? Ahh, good ol times.
Big Brother does these filler episodes every year and every time I still watch it just to say, “ugh, why did I watch it.” But clearly, I don’t learn my lesson, so yes, tonight I’ll be watching the season recap episode with the inevitable Diary Room crying session montage.
I expect we’ll again get the Final 3 narrating us through the clip show as they enjoy a fancy meal complete with Champagne that was filmed on Thursday after Kyland’s eviction and while the Feeds were down for twelve hours. During that block of time the HGs also competed in the first round of the Final HOH. We probably won’t see more than maybe an introduction to the comp in tonight’s episode.
