  • CBS BIG BROTHER – Sunday, August 22 Show More
Episode 20 (Season 23) – Airing 8/15/22 (8:00 PM) – from bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight on Big Brother 23 we’ll pick up with the latest Head of Household crowning a second straight week of Kyland’s control over the BB23 house and quickly laying out his her plan that looks incredibly familiar!
Yes, Sarah Beth has the power but she’s tightly under the control of Kyland, even if she says otherwise, and that’s another win for the dominating Cookout alliance as they masterfully work their way through their targets even when it’s by extension of their +1 strategy. This week looks to be no different.
First up we’ll get the nominations revealed after an all-nighter round of one-on-ones that was completely wiped out by Kyland’s “last one in her ear” strategy that took her HOH plans into the early hours of the morning just ahead of the nominations ceremony. Soon after the noms were revealed it was time for the High Rollers Room twist to return for its second of three weeks. But would that change anything? Yeah, kinda, mostly.
  • CBS BIG BROTHER – Wednesday, August 25 Show More
Episode 21 (Season 23) – Airing 8/25/21 (8:00 PM) – from bigbrothernetwork.com: Big Brother 23 returns tonight (8/7c) for the Power of Veto with Kyland’s third turn Sarah Beth as Head of Household and after last week’s OTEV battle the bar has been set high for entertaining us on the Veto front. Let’s get ready!
Sarah just sent Kyland’s nominees from last week back to the Block as Claire and DF take their seats on the nomination couch in the latest episode, but with the Veto ahead it might not last too long. Sarah’s got a bigger target in mind than both of these noms and as a +1 of the Cookout we know the goal is what will serve their mission the best.
We’re getting ready for our second Juror of the BB23 season to join Britini and await their return at the end of September for the big finale and vote. Will we see the Cookout hang onto their position of strength for the last few weeks? Find out more tonight and then be ready for Thursday’s new round with another HOH.

  • CBS BIG BROTHER – Thursday, August 26 Show More
Episode 22 (Season 23) – Airing 8/26/21 (8:00 PM) – from bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight on Big Brother 23, either Claire or Derek X will be the second person to head off to jury. But who will it be?
Head of Household Sarah Beth has been doing Kyland’s bidding all week, so her target is Derek X. But Derek X has been working really hard on Kyland’s vote, to the point Kyland feels very guilty. But since this was all Kyland’s idea in the first place (SB was ready to go after Alyssa at the start of her HOH), DX is still coming up short.
Tiffany has also been doing what she can to help Derek X stay over her once-closest ally Claire. Tiffany knows that Claire is onto the Cookout and thinks Derek X is smarter to keep because he’s far more naive than Claire. But again, she hasn’t really gotten anywhere with the votes, especially considering that Hannah, who is DX’s closest ally, has done nothing to save him this week. She even helped convince him to not play in the roulette competition this week that probably would have saved him.
Derek X has been working hard to stay. He basically convinced Azah to keep him, but she knows the numbers aren’t really there, so that work he put in will be for nothing.
So as of now, we feel confident in predicting that Derek X will indeed be the person evicted tonight. And that’s not going to go over very well with many of our readers, as DX tops all of our popularity polls, and has for weeks. Something also tells me Sarah Beth’s popularity is going to drop even more after this week.

Features Interview with Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland
Airs During NBC News and MSNBC’s Week-Long ‘The Vanished’ Series
On Friday’s all-new Dateline NBC, NBC News’ Andrea Canning will report on the epidemic of missing and murdered Indigenous women, how jurisdictional rules between tribal and non-tribal law enforcement can leave families alone in their search for answers, and on the growing movement demanding change. The one-hour special, The Secrets of Spirit Lake, airs Friday, August 27 at 10pm ET/9 pm CT.
The program features Canning’s sit-down interview with Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, the first Native American to serve in a presidential Cabinet. Haaland tells Dateline that tackling the rise of missing and murdered Indigenous women is a priority, explaining: “This is a crisis that’s been happening in our country since colonization, and it’s very, very deep. And so I’m grateful that we’re seeing some action on it right now.”
Canning also speaks with Lissa Yellow Bird, an advocate and investigator who helps solve cases, about how Yellow Bird’s search for answers in the disappearance of her niece, Carla Yellow Bird, exposed cracks in law enforcement.
The special is part of NBC News’ week-long The Vanished series, featuring in-depth and exclusive coverage on missing and murdered Indigenous women. Reports will air across TODAY, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, NBC News NOW, NBCNews.com and MSNBC.
The series will include NBC News correspondent Morgan Radford’s report on the difficulties one Indigenous family is facing as they search for their three-year-old child and NBC News correspondent Maura Barrett interviews grassroots organizers who are using their voice and social media platforms to push for change. Additionally, NBC News correspondent Antonia Hylton meets survivors of Holy Childhood, a Michigan boarding school accused of abusing Native American children for decades. She examines why these schools are now reckoning with their traumatic legacy.
The Vanished will also feature NBC News reporter Graham Lee Brewer’s interview with Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson about a new state task force on missing and murdered Indigenous women, exploring how shortfalls in both data collection and resources can hamper this work.
Andrea Canning Voice Over: The Department of the Interior, the agency that oversees the Bureau of Indian Affairs, is now run by a Native American.
Canning: When Indigenous women look at you, what do you hope they see?
Secretary of Interior Deb Haaland: I’ve lived that life and I want their voices to be represented here.
Canning Voice Over: Tackling the missing and murdered Indigenous women’s crisis is a priority for Secretary Haaland.

Airing 8/25/21 (We.) (10:00 PM) on the CBS Television Network: FOR TWO DECADES, AN ANONYMOUS LETTER WRITER TERRORIZED THE SMALL TOWN OF CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO, AND NOW A DOCUMENT FORENSICS EXPERT BELIEVES SHE’S UNMASKED THE AUTHOR Preview
“48 Hours” Investigates the True Crime Mystery in “The Circleville Letters”
Has a forensic document expert unmasked the anonymous author of the infamous Circleville letters? For nearly two decades, an anonymous letter writer terrorized the small town of Circleville, Ohio, by sending threatening letters that exposed alleged secrets about neighbors and friends. Erin Moriarty and 48 HOURS investigate the true crime mystery behind the letters and interview experts about the documents in “The Circleville Letters” to be broadcast Wednesday, August 25 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The sinister story has gripped part of Ohio for decades, with small-town intrigue, a flood of threatening letters, a booby trap and an attempted murder. Was the man many suspected of writing the letters actually the Circleville letter writer? That’s a question open for discussion. The mystery has caught the attention of more than a dozen podcasters and attracted television and print coverage. And it happened just 30 miles from where Moriarty was raised in Columbus, Ohio.
“The Circleville letter writer,” says podcaster Marie Mayhew, “knew everything about everyone … and knew everybody’s secrets.”
The letters at first focused on a married school district superintendent and his rumored relationship with a school bus driver named Mary Gillispie. “I know everything,” the writer wrote. “I’ve been observing your house and know you have children…. It’s your daughters turn to pay for what you’ve done.”
One day Gillispie saw an obscene sign about her daughter on a fence. When she went to remove it, she noticed it was tied to a string, which led to a box with a gun rigged to go off. The gun was traced to her brother-in-law, Paul Freshour. Freshour’s estranged wife told investigators he was also the Circleville letter writer. He was sent to prison, but the letters continued, even though he was kept in isolation and not allowed pen or paper.
Now, Beverley East, a forensic document expert, believes she has identified the Circleville letter writer. At the request of 48 HOURS, East examined 49 letters.
“I would go into court and swear on the Bible on the evidence that I found,” East tells Moriarty.
“I would say one person wrote all of these,” East continues.
Is the case closed? Has the writer been finally identified?
48 HOURS: “The Circleville Letters” is produced by Lisa Freed and Richard Fetzer. Mead Stone is the producer-editor. David Dow and Tamara Weitzman are the development producers. Jud Johnston, Ken Blum and Diana Modica are the editors. Lourdes Aguiar is the senior producer. Nancy Kramer is the executive story editor. Judy Tygard is the executive producer.

“48 Hours” Investigates in “Fighting for Aniah” Preview
Angela Harris and Aniah Blanchard; Walt Harris and Aniah Blanchard; Walt Harris.
Aniah Blanchard was a 19-year-old college student and the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris when she disappeared and was murdered in Alabama in the fall of 2019. CBS News special correspondent James Brown and 48 HOURS investigate the disappearance and murder of Blanchard, and her family’s quest for justice, in an encore of “Fighting for Aniah” to be broadcast Saturday, August 28 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount +.
Blanchard’s disappearance captured the nation, as her family, the local community and law enforcement searched for more than a month to find her and uncover the truth of what happened to her that fateful night. Blanchard was widely known for always putting other people before herself, but she also had a deep-seated fear of being kidnapped and harmed. Then she vanished. It would take two days before her car was found 55 miles away, and a blood-soaked seat and a bullet in the door told investigators that her worst fear had likely became a reality.
Police discovered video of Aniah Blanchard on the night she vanished at a gas station near her home. Inside the convenience store at the station was Ibraheem Yazeed, a man with a lengthy arrest record who was free on bond, and later charged with murdering Blanchard. Yazeed pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him. 48 HOURS explores what happened that night and how her parents are fighting to keep those accused of serious crimes off the streets.
