spencer’s actually doing a really good job of balancing all of his responsibilities. I’m really proud of him. I’m just acknowledging that caring for a baby can be all-consuming, trina.
[ Chuckles ] You’re absolutely right. If you had told me a year ago that I would know how to comfort a colicky child, I would have laughed in your face. It’s certainly a big challenge. And my father wasn’t up to it, so I’ve assumed the responsibility. But, yes, you’re correct. It’s a big commitment. Which makes it all the more impressive that spencer

[ Chuckles ] Balancing friends and activities you know, while you’re caring for a little one, it can be — it can be quite exhausting. No matter what your intentions are. I’ll do my best. Now, you’re not gonna get out of this unscathed, but you will stay out of prison. Call it off. It’s too late. He’s already proposed the deal, carly. Did the sec accept? My lawyer is very confident that they will. Now, you’re gonna have to pay a very big fine. I don’t care about the money. You’re standing here telling me you’re gonna go to prison instead of me. It’s very likely that I’m gonna spend some time behind bars, yes. I know you’re doing this for me and my family, but I’m not the only one with children. Scout has spent enough time away from you. Look, I — I hate the idea of me being away from scout again. Like, it kills me, believe me. But I know that scout is in a stable, loving home with sam and dante. And so when willow finds out that I am the one that turned in carly and drew, any chance that I have of forging a relationship with her is gone. Nina, nina, nina, come on, now. Grandmother, ever since leo was diagnosed with being on the spectrum, it’s very important that he has people who accept him and understand him. That’s what his family’s for. Leo also needs consistency and routine. Look, I’d put money on it that dad being in the hospital is really messing with leo’s head. Don’t you get it? I would do anything for leo. Alright. Owing to my deep and abiding love of this family, I will table this discussion for now. But while ned is recovering, we will very slowly and gently change leo’s routine. Take the time to find other employment ’cause the minute ned is better, you’re gone, pony boy. Huh. I mean, there’s a chance that he could forgive you. Really. M-maybe not right away, but he’ll definitely appreciate you coming clean. But you have to get to the hospital before ned wakes up. I want my daughter-in-law to be healthy and independent some day. Gladys — I just don’t want her making a hasty decision.

[ Sighs heavily ] But sasha respects you. She will listen to you. Sonny, will you talk to her? Please convince her to give this arrangement a little more time. I’m gonna leave you two to settle this. Well, thank you for being a true gentleman. I’m not sure which spencer cassadine I find more infuriating. The entitled brat or the “new version,” the responsible, aspiring parent.
[ Sighs ] But whichever one shows up, it doesn’t matter. I just don’t see how he can make trina a priority. So, what’s this about him wanting to be an aspiring parent? He’s trying to get custody of his baby brother, whose mother is his ex-girlfriend who tried to frame trina. Man. No wonder you’re not a fan of that family. Messy, right? There’s a lot going on.
[ Sighs ] I just don’t want trina involved with any of that stuff. And even though I do believe that spencer does care about trina, I just don’t think he can give her the attention that she deserves. No one can be a devoted partner when their focus is so split.
[ Scoffs ] Unfortunately, you met my grandmother on a bad day. Ah. Is this the part where you tell me that her bark’s worse than her bite? Oh, no, they’re both bad. But that’s tracy. She’ll stick the screws to you and come through for you in equal measure. Translation — she’s a quartermaine. You are learning.
[ Chuckles ] Hey, I’m really sorry about ned. I’ve been praying for you and your family. And if there’s anything more I can do, just let me know. Just keep supporting leo. Yeah. Yeah, he said that his mom and dad took him to meet the photographer. Leo got pretty shaky when he was talking about ned’s accident. He knows that he’s unconscious. He’s really worried. Well, thank you for telling me. I’m glad he has you as a friend to count on. Well, I’m not doing much good if I go to jail, and it looks like my days are numbered. Let’s just wait it out. Really. I mean, I read somewhere that the statute of limitations on sec investigations is five years. Can you make it that long with a hold on your finances? You taking the rap for me can’t be our only option, drew. It can’T. Carly, this is my choice. I don’t want you feeling guilty about this. It’s not just guilt. It’s heartbreak. I can’t stand the thought of losing you.
