Thomas: It’s okay.
Hope: It’s not, though. It’s not. It’s not okay for me to be talking that way about you, especially to my mom. I mean, the things I was saying, like I never– I didn’t want anything to do with you, or that– that nothing could ever happen between the two of us, ever. It’s like I was only saying those things, because my mom– like… I just… thomas, I do– I do think that you are a good man now, and I believe that, I do. And you are an incredible talent, you are a devoted father, brother, son, and– and I admire your dedication to changing your life and to turning it all around and making those positive changes, I mean… you’ve totally transformed yourself! I mean, you’ve transformed me, how– how I feel about…
Brooke: No fashion line is worth it, is worth risking your marriage, your family for. If he is doing something to cross the line, I need to know, because I’m gonna get him out of here, and away from you forever.

Taylor: Hey, brooke.
Brooke: Oh, taylor. What are you doing here?
Taylor: Well, I had lunch with steffy, but she’s tied up in a meeting, so. What’s going on? You okay?
Wyatt: Are we looking at the same chart here? Their q2 didn’t meet expectations, their q1 fell flat and their eps is spiraling down a toilet. Wha– I’m throwing you a life raft here, jer. Well, tell ’em we’re holding firm. They’re lucky we’re not taking the offer completely off the table. All right, let me know what they say.
[ Chuckles ] I’ll let liam deal with the fallout. Thank you.
Liam: Nice.
Wyatt: Well, what are brothers for? So… how’s our little tommy-boy doing?
Wyatt: Well, did you at least lay the guy out? No? Wha–
Liam: Wyatt, I didn’t go over there to do violence.
Wyatt: Why not? He deserves it!
Liam: I– what I wanted was just to hear him say something, say… anything that I haven’t heard a dozen times before. “No, I’m a changed man, I’m really working on myself, I respect your marriage. You don’t have to worry about me.”
Wyatt: Really? What did you expect he was gonna say, “I’m still pining after your wife?” He’s not gonna admit to that!
Liam: I don’t kn– I don’t know! I don’t know the answer, I just– I was just hoping that he would– that he would tell me something that would put my concerns to rest, or at least start to.
Wyatt: And it didn’t, right?
Liam: No.
Wyatt: Leaving you constantly on guard when it comes to thomas, so nothing has changed. This– all this worrying is coming at a price, man. How are you really holding up, liam?
Brooke: I don’t know, really, how to answer that.
Taylor: Hmm. Okay, well, there’s– there’s two ways you could, actually. You could say, “yes, taylor, I’m going through something and I’m worried,” or “no, taylor, I’m fine!”
Brooke: Okay, well, I’m just, uh, a little distracted. That’s all.
Taylor: Okay. Well, there’s a start. Is there anything that I can help with?
Brooke: My new bestie to the rescue?
Taylor: Do you need rescuing?
Brooke: Honestly, for the first time in my life, I can say no. But it’s nice to know that you’re there for me.
Taylor: Yes, I am, so… are you gonna tell me what’s going on? Is everything okay?
Brooke: Mm, uh… I hope so. It’s about my daughter.
Hope: Just please know I would never want to hurt you like that, and I– I regret what I said.
Thomas: Hope, stop. Look, you don’t have to do this, I told you.
Hope: No, I know, I know what you told me. But you’re just saying that to be nice, to make me feel better about what I said, what I did.
Thomas: You didn’t do anything.
Hope: Yes, I did. Yes, I did. I said some cruel things that undermined the relationship that we have fought so hard to build, and I’m sorry. I regret every single word.
Thomas: It’s okay, like, I get it.
Hope: No, you don’T. You don’t get it, and you wouldn’t understand, because you don’t get– I mean, like, what led up to it and the things that I was saying to my mom, and just– just, you wouldn’t get it. Hi.
Wyatt: Good. It means thomas now knows you’re still keeping an eye on him.
Liam: Yeah. I mean, but how could he not, given all the things he’s done in the past?
Wyatt: You think he’s just biding his time, when it comes to hope? Like, it’s just gonna wait it out?
Liam: You know the honest truth? I have no earthly idea what’s going through thomas’s head. I mean, he says all the right things, but then all these new scenarios keep being manufactured where he and hope get to spend time alone together, so that concerns me all over again.
Wyatt: Well, and you have every reason to be concerned.
Liam: Well, thank you, I’m glad somebody sees that.
Wyatt: Of course I do!
Liam: Here’s what I don’t want. I don’t want to turn into an overprotective husband who’s just worrying about things he has no control over whatsoever.
Wyatt: No. No. No, no, no. You know what it sounds like to me? It sounds like a man who is looking out for his wife, who he loves and cherishes, in case thomas falls back into his old ways.
Liam: I mean, I’ll tell you what, the… the one thing that’s been keeping me sane lately, beside my favorite sounding board.
Wyatt: Oh, of course. Thanks.
Liam: Is, uh, is hope. How she– she stays connected with me, she– she finds ways to carve out time, to show me how much she appreciates me, and it’s in those moments, you know, where it’s just me and her, and I feel like, “oh, yeah, this is– this is what peace feels like.” Like everything is gonna be all right with the world. And it’s that– it’s that love, it’s hope’s love for me, that makes me think… I don’t know, maybe thomas won’t ever be an issue again.
Taylor: Brooke, what is going on?
Brooke: Well, I– I was thinking about hope’s line, and, um… and all the changes that have happened since she allowed thomas back in.
Taylor: Positive changes, though. Right? I mean, I know that you had your reservations at first, but…
Brooke: More than reservations. I didn’t think it was a good idea.
Taylor: Right. You didn’T. But it’s been a huge success. Because thomas jumped right in and gave everything he has to hope for the future. And you know what? So has hope. And she’s become a really positive influence in thomas’s life. She has her priorities in order, she has a healthy work/life balance. And that girl knows what she wants.
Hope: All our working together hasn’t been easy for everyone, and my mom has tried to be open, but obviously she still has her hesitations, so she brought up the san francisco trip, and the fact that we almost had to stay overnight, and she swore that you would scheme some way to get us to stay in the same room together, that you would be up to your old ways, and–
Thomas: Yeah, that’s actually weird. I– I told liam that, that’s probably what I would have done in the past, but I’m not that person anymore.
Hope: Well, yeah, I know. I told her that. I told her that you’ve been nothing but a wonderful… I mean, designer, father, friend. I mean, my mother has nothing to worry about when it comes to you. I mean, it’s me. I’m the one who–
Thomas: Wait. Hold on. You’re the one who what?
[ Heartbeat pounding ] We’re traveling all across america,
Wyatt: You know what I think?
Liam: Hm?
Wyatt: Go with that.
Liam: Uh, go way– with what?
Wyatt: With what you just said about hope’s love for you, how powerful it is, right? It’s– it’s– it’s powerful enough to get thomas out of the equation for good. Liam, you are the man that hope wants. And thinks about. The only man. You… At least from what you’ve been telling me, that she’s been making all this effort for you and showing you how much she loves yoU. I guess my only question is… are you reciprocating that?
Taylor: Okay, I– I don’t know what is going on. I don’t, but… from where I stand, hope is doing great. She– she– she is doing everything right. She is kind, she is fair, she is trustworthy, and she and liam seem to manage their– their work, their family and their marriage with ease. And they’re very much in love. I mean, of course there’s gonna be challenges, but…
Brooke: Yeah, it’s true. I mean, hope and liam have had to overcome a lot.
Taylor: Right. They have and I know that– that thomas has been a part of that. My son has made choices in the past that he would never make today. Ever. He really is evolving, and I think that hope can see that. I know that she appreciates his efforts. And you know, I– I appreciate her. And her mother. Neither one of you had to give thomas a chance again, but you did. You did, and it allowed him to really close the chapter on his obsessive feelings for hope. And both of their careers are thriving. And nothing’s gonna derail that and cause thomas to backslide.
Thomas: Hey, hey, hey. Hold on. I– I’m the one who should be apologizing to you. I’m the one who put you in this position in the first place. I hurt our entire family. I hurt you over and over again. And so it makes sense, people would think that I would go back to my dark side. And I would hurt you again, and– and they’re– honestly, they’re just looking out for you. And it makes sense, but… them coming to you with their worries and anxieties, I mean, that’s– that’s gotta be hard. It’s gotta be a lot, and stressful, and… I promise you, hope, even though they think that, even though it could have been possible, it’s not going to happen. I’m not that person anymore. I’ve moved beyond it, I can feel it.
Hope: I can, too.
Thomas: That’s what means the most. Your faith in me. Hope, I promise you, I care for you, but I’m never gonna hurt you again. I respect you. And I respect your marriage. And I’m never gonna mess with that again. You didn’t live this strong, this long to get put
Wyatt: It sounds like hope has been trying to show you how much she loves you, and she’s only thinking about you. Uh, but can you say the same?
Liam: Uh, I don’t really– I mean, I– yeah, I’m very appreciative of–
Wyatt: That’s not what I’m talking about.
Liam: ‘Kay, well, okay. But I’m also, like, super protective of her–
Wyatt: No, no, no. Protective is a whole other subject here. I’m talkin’ about… you know I’m talkin’ about, hm? You have to show her. You gotta turn on that spencer charm. I mean I can teach it to you, if you want.
Liam: I don’t need you to teach me anything. I can charm. I have charm, I know how to charm.
Wyatt: Really? Because it sounds to me, after everything that you’ve said, that hope is the one who’s been doing everything. She’s the one who’s been initiating your togetherness. Right?
Liam: I mean, no. I do stuff. Like the other night, I set up a whole romantic evening with the wine, and the candles, and–
Wyatt: Okay.
Liam: But– but yeah, you’re right. She’s the one who’s gone more out of her way.
Wyatt: Mm.
Liam: And I don’t know if– I don’t know if that’s because she feels guilty, or– or she just really needs me to know that I don’t have anything to worry about, but… yeah, you’re right. I’m not doing enough. I need to– I need to show her how I feel, too. I– I need to– I need to show hope that i don’t just trust her. I trust her around thomas.
Brooke: I agree. Thomas does seem to have his act together.
Taylor: Yes. And liam will come around, too. He just needs time to see what everyone else sees. Thomas is– is committed to becoming the best version of himself. A devoted father, a creative powerhouse. And he is winning back everyone’s trust. Especially hope’S. Because she knows she has nothing to worry about anymore when it comes to thomas.
Hope: I do believe in you, thomas. I mean, it shows. Shows in– in your work, in your parenting, in… your positivity. I mean, this thomas, I mean… this thomas is a good man. And one that I would like to have around for a very long time. Um, but still, I– what i said to my mom, and– that was just–
Thomas: Hope, just… let it go. Look, it was– like you said, it was a conversation between you and your mom. I wasn’t even supposed to hear it, so it’s– I understand.
Hope: No, except– except you don’T. You don’t, really. I mean, how could you? The way I was talking to my mom, I was trying to get her to just not worry about us working together. I was– I was trying to get her to see that, you know, there– there– weren’t any feelings there beyond just co-parenting and being co-workers.
Thomas: No, but there– there are feelings between us.
[ Heartbeat pounding ]
Thomas: Is everything okay?
[ Heartbeat pounding ]
Hope: Thomas.
Thomas: Feelings of gratitude and appreciation. You gave me another chance. Yeah. I mean, I hope that I’ve been able to show some of my gratitude by reviving hope for the future, but, I mean, you– you gave me my life back. My job, my– my family. My son. That’s all because of you, hope. I owe all of that to you.
