Brooke: After all these years, after everything sheila’s done, it’s so good to know that she’s finally in prison for good this time. She’s not gonna terrorize any of us ever again.
Hope: No, it’s fantastic. I mean, when bill told liam, wyatt and me last night, we couldn’t believe it. I mean, the sacrifices that he and ridge made, for all of us. I mean, to pull a big sting like that off?
Brooke: We all knew bill was acting very strange, but we didn’t know the reason behind it.
Hope: No. The stakes were huge. By the way, how is, uh, taylor taking all of this? I mean, I ask because it’s great how close you two are now.
Brooke: She’s good. Yeah, it is great. It’s amazing, really.
Hope: Do you think that could change now that ridge is back?
Thomas: I heard you were in the building. It’s good to see you back.
Ridge: Good to be back.
Thomas: You know, before we get into anything, I just want to say that what you did, partnering with bill and taking down sheila, protecting our family, reminds me of just how great it is to be your son.
Ridge: And you’re back.
Liam: Sleeping in?
Liam: Dad? Our dad? Dollar bill dad?
Liam: Apparently, even superheroes need extra shut eye from time to time.
Liam: Hey, on the bright side, he doesn’t have to share his bed with sheila anymore.
Wyatt: Yeah, can you imagine the pillow talk they must have had? Not to mention the things he may have had to do.
Liam: No, no, no, no, no. Not to mention. We’re not mentioning. That’s the whole– what are you doing right now?
Wyatt: Wow, why’d I even say that?
Liam: I know. The whole beauty of this is we don’t have to talk about her, think about her.
Wyatt: It’s true.
Liam: Worry about her ever again.
Wyatt: Now, you can just focus all of your attention on thomas.
Wyatt: Look, I know you’re not thrilled about thomas working with hope again, and I don’t blame you. Especially considering his history with her.
Liam: Yeah, but I also know how much hope for the future means to her, and that in order for it to survive and thrive–
Wyatt: Hope needs thomas. Sorry. Correction. The– the line apparently needs thomas.
Liam: I don’t know, man. Maybe– maybe it’s– maybe it’s all me. Maybe it’s just like in my head and– and thomas really has changed and–
Wyatt: You don’t believe that anymore than I do.
Liam: No, I absolutely don’T. But everybody else sure seems convinced, don’t they? I mean, especially hope. She’s like– she’s talking about how much the therapy must be working and how she can see the changes in him in real time. It’s like, really?
Wyatt: But you think she’s only seeing what she wants to see and not what’s actually going on.
Liam: Yes. You know what I am curious about though?
Liam: Is ridge. Right? ‘Cause– ’cause, when he left town, he and thomas were… they were not on good terms, and now that he’s back, like I kind of wonder, well, I don’t know? Would he potentially reverse steffy’s decision to bring thomas back to forrester?
Thomas: It was steffy’s decision, allowing me to return and I know that you were busy taking down sheila, but I’m sure that you know what was going on with hope’s line.
Ridge: Your design skills are not what got you thrown out.
Thomas: But the part of me that did get me thrown out? He’s gone for good.
Hope: Will it impact your friendship? Ridge being back?
Brooke: Actually, she and i spoke to ridge last night.
Brooke: Well, we know he’s gonna be spending time with both of our families, we made it very clear to him that we’re gonna choose ourselves first and put our newfound friendship first too.
Hope: I love that. I love that and I totally respect that decision, 100%.
Brooke: Aw, thanks, honey. That makes me feel good.
Hope: Yeah, it’s great, mom. I’m happy you’re choosing yourself.
Brooke: I mean, let’s be real. Most of my life, I felt like I’ve needed a man, and usually it’s been the wrong man. And I am not saying that your father is the wrong man. It’s just that my relationship with deacon did cause a lot of problems in my life. I’m just happy you haven’t been drawn to the bad boy like I have. I’m so proud of you, sweetheart.
I have type 2 diabetes,
Liam: I have tried to take the high road with thomas, so many times. I tried to be a supportive husband. I mean, I don’t– I don’t like putting hope in the middle. I really don’T.
Wyatt: You’re just worried about him spending all day, every day at the office.
Liam: Yeah. Which means them spending hours and hours and hours together. Sometimes, well into the evenings, you know?
Wyatt: Right. But does hope really know how you feel about that?
Liam: I mean, at this point, how could she not? It’s just, she’s so hyper focused right now on making hope for the future viable again, that she, you know, that means her putting in those hours.
Wyatt: Right. And thomas is more than happy to put in those hours with her as well. Yeah. Dude, I– I feel for you. This sucks.
Liam: Can I ask you something? Like objectively?
Liam: Do you think that I’m being too controlling? Or– or– or overbearing? Or unreasonable here?
Wyatt: No, quite the opposite, actually. I– I think you’re being a loving, concerned husband, and you’re just protecting your wife from somebody you don’t trust.
Liam: To be clear, I totally trust hope.
Wyatt: Oh, yeah.
Liam: It’s not her. It’s thomas that I think is incapable of real change.
Thomas: I get why you’d be skeptical. I have made so many mistakes in the past and– and I’ve hurt people, and then I hurt people and I apologize, and I say it’s gonna get better and then I get a little bit better, but then I screw up again and then I hurt you again or hurt someone else, and then I apologize again. And all along, what’s kind of amazing, is that you have been there for me. You’ve given me forgiveness over and over again. Most recently, I, like an idiot, called cps on myself. That was my most recent mistake. And I could say that I know exactly why I did it. Actually, I kinda do. It’s– I wasn’t thinking. I got mad because brooke said something that– that threatened my relationship with my son. And so, I just acted out, immediately, without thinking anything through. And obviously, I want you and mom to be together too. Steffy and i have always wanted that. I don’t– I don’t want to sit here and just focus on the past, and keep bringing up all those things. I want to move forward into the future. I want to build a better future. One where you can be actually proud of your son. And I want to make sure that I never, ever let you down again. And more than that, I don’t ever want to let down my son, or my mom, or my sister.
Ridge: Or hope.
Brooke: I know you’ve worked hard to take the best qualities of me and leave the not so good qualities behind. Honey, I look at you and the life that you lead, and I am so amazed. Your principles, your morals. I just admire you so, so much. Really. I do. And also your relationship with liam and how committed you are and how loyal. I mean, sometimes I wonder how you’re even my daughter. Stephanie called me “slut from the valley” for a reason. I worked my way through the forrester men, and then there was deacon and bill, and the list goes on and on.
Hope: Okay, mom, stop, please. Why are we even talking about this? I hate it when you beat yourself up like this.
Brooke: No, no, I’m not. Just there’s no denying that I’ve always desired the wrong man. Honey, I’m just glad you’re not like me that way. Yeah, yeah, yeah
Thomas: I realize the success of hope for the future depends on hope trusting me and respecting me again. And I think we’re actually getting there. I mean, she is the face of the line and she’s brought me back. I am the designer again.
Ridge: And that means you’re gonna spend more time together.
Thomas: Yes. For the purpose of the success of the line. I don’t have those feelings that I used to for her, dad. I promise, I don’T. I have changed. I’ve become a better person, and I know it because I can feel it.
Ridge: I’m glad to hear that. You lied to me. You disappointed me. You broke my heart, but do you think I want to be estranged from my son? I don’T.
Thomas: I want to make a promise to you and I really believe I can come through on it. I want to prove to everyone I’m a better man. More than that, I want to prove to you that I can be a son that you’re proud of. Because dad, I love you so much.
Wyatt: Look, obviously you’re gonna be keeping an eye on thomas.
Liam: I guess. It’d be a lot easier if I didn’t work halfway across town at spencer.
Liam: Actually, that doesn’t have to stop me.
Wyatt: What, wait, whoa. Where you going?
Liam: I just want to see for myself, if thomas’ obsessive behavior around my wife really is a thing of the past. You’re buying.
Wyatt: Well, what, whoa. How? What? Not my day.
Brooke: Thomas’s latest?
Hope: Yeah. What do you think?
Brooke: Oh, well, it’s beautiful.
Hope: I agree.
Brooke: So, honey, how are things at home?
Hope: Oh, now that douglas is back, you mean?
Brooke: Well, I was thinking more about liam. Is he adjusted to the fact that thomas is working on the line again?
Hope: He’s trying.
Brooke: Okay. So, he’s not so happy about it.
Hope: I mean, I’m hoping it will finally change this time, given that there’s nothing to worry about.
Brooke: Well, I do understand where liam’s coming from. You know, I also have my reservations about thomas, given his history with you. But, if he acts professionally, then–
Hope: He is, mom.
Hope: I swear.
Brooke: ‘Cause, you know, you can’t cross the line. I’m not talking about you. But thomas, he is a bad boy, and you, my sweet, precious daughter, you don’t like the bad boys, unlike your mother. But of course, if thomas does act inappropriately, liam is right. He has to go.
Hope: Mom, I know, I know this. I just, I guess, I am the eternal optimist because we have been working very, very well together and, in fact, this is the most excited I have been about my line in a very long time. So, I don’t know, from my view, things just seem to be getting better and better.
Thomas: Ready to do this? Brooke! Hey, sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt.
Hope: Yeah, we actually, we have a fitting, mom.
Brooke: Oh, okay. Well, then I’ll just get out of your hair.
Thomas: You don’t have to. You can stay and give us some notes, if you want.
Brooke: Ah, I was gonna check in on ridge anyway.
Thomas: Okay. He’s in his office. I was just with him.
Thomas: You like?
Hope: I love.
[ Both giggling ] I can’t wait to try it on. Hi, I’m jill and I’ve lost 56 pounds on golo. feel to be back in your element?
Ridge: As opposed to being in that hole with the fbi? It feels good. I gotta say, it was worth it. Sheila’s gone forever.
Brooke: And you are truly the hero, ridge forrester.
Ridge: All right. Take it easy. I don’t know about that. Maybe I held the hero’s cape for a moment. Spencer sacrificed a lot, he really did. And that’s all I’m gonna say about that. Let’s talk about something else. I had a conversation with thomas and it seems his collaboration with hope is going well.
Brooke: So far, so good. You must be happy about that.
Ridge: I am happy about that. It’s my son. I want him to succeed. Hope and thomas, their, um, a dynamic team.
Thomas: How’s the fit?
Hope: See for yourself?
Thomas: Huh. Um, well, how does it feel?
Hope: Uh, elegant, gorgeous, sexy.
Thomas: All things I was going for. Though, now that I’m looking at it…
Thomas: I don’t know. Can you– can you step on the riser for me? Uh, is it okay if I…
Hope: Oh, yeah, sure. If you need to make adjustments.
Thomas: Okay. It’s better, right?
Hope: Yeah, I agree.
Hope: If you say so.
Thomas: Oh, that didn’t sound conceited?
Hope: No, no, because it actually is perfect. I mean, everything’s been pretty much perfect. We’ve been so in sync on this latest collection, and I’m just really happy to have you and your vision back on hope for the future.
Thomas: I’m glad you feel that way.
Hope: I just wish everyone else felt that way. Namely, my mother, liam.
Hope: Yeah. I wish they could understand our working relationship. I have my career to think about. My line, the people that work for me and I guess what I’m trying to say is, those feelings that you might have had for me in the past, I just don’t want those to cause any problems with us working in such close proximity, doing fittings.
Thomas: Hope, that’s the thing is we’re working together. That’s– that’s all.
Hope: I know. I told liam that, but this is what he’s concerned about.
Thomas: Nothing is gonna happen, okay?
Hope: You sure? We’re doing this right now, there’s no thoughts entering your head.
Thomas: Honestly, no, there’s none.
Hope: Okay, well good because my mother had a thing for bad boys and I am telling you, thomas, that I do not. Oh!
Liam: Hey! What the hell is going on here?
