Steffy: Wait, so this whole time, you and Bill were working with the FBI?
Ridge: Yeah, and really, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but we couldn’t risk Sheila finding out.
Steffy: Oh, wow. I mean… it makes sense why you were gone for so long.
Finn: So, so bill, he…he was never in love with sheila.
Ridge: No! It was all part of the plan, and it worked.
Hope: This is unbelievable.
Liam: So, how long had this been going on?
Bill: Well, when I reunited steffy and finn in monaco, and sheila got away, I knew she would keep turning up. Something had to be done. And then she escaped custody.
Wyatt: We all thought she died after that.
Bill: I never bought that absurd bear-mauling story. So I came up with a plan. One that would eliminate sheila from our lives once and for all.
Brooke: Wow. Ridge and bill working together to bring sheila down.
Taylor: It’s crazy, right? It still hasn’t really hit me. You know, when you were, uh… when you were talking to eric and donna, and saying goodbye, I called steffy. Ridge is over there explaining everything. Sheila really did have a heart attack.
Brooke: What?
Taylor: Yeah.
Brooke: We all thought she was faking.
Taylor: Well, of course we did, because sheila. But no, she, she had a heart attack, and she survived.
Brooke: God. There’s so much to talk about with all of this. But now that we have a moment alone, there are things that we need to discuss. Ridge is back.
Taylor: So, did you have any idea that ridge was back in L.A.?
Brooke: None. It was odd that he sort of fell out of touch.
Taylor: Yeah, yeah, it was. But you know, he, he told us he was gonna go off and do some soul searching, and, for ridge, that could take a while.
Brooke: And we could always reach him if we needed to. Bill and ridge, getting along. An unexpected pairing.
Taylor: Yeah, it is. I’d say more unexpected than us.
Brooke: Speaking of, we really need to talk about ridge being back, and what that means for us, moving forward.
Hope: I’m not sure which is harder to believe, you faking a relationship with sheila all this time, or are you working together with ridge?
Bill: [ Chuckles ] Well, we had a common goal. Protecting our families.
Liam: I can’t even put into words what a relief this is. Like, I hate you for putting us all through this, but at the same time, I’m so happy you didn’t lose your damn mind and fall in love with sheila.
Wyatt: Yeah, and I don’t understand. If she was already in custody, why did you get her out?
Liam: Yeah. Why not just let her rot in prison?
Bill: Because she had to be arrested on a charge she couldn’t beat, or get out early for good behavior. That had to be murder one.
Wyatt: Murder one?
Ridge: So there were two guys who died in a very mysterious way, but they had one thing in common. You know what that is?
Steffy: Sheila.
Ridge: Sheila. Their murders were never solved, but baker was convinced that sheila had something to do with it. So, the only thing we had to do, is get her to confess.
Finn: That’s no easy task.
Ridge: No. But bill did everything in his power to make sure that she would trust him, and she did. And admitted to one of the murders.
Steffy: One of them?
Ridge: Allegedly the other one was an accident.
Finn: You believe her?
Ridge: It doesn’t matter if I believe her or not. The point is we just needed one to put her away.
Steffy: Okay, wait, wait. Everything that, that happened with mom, the blackmail, like, I’m sure the police and the fbi heard about this.
Ridge: Alright, so bill made a deal with him to get her exonerated.
Steffy: Oh my god. That’s amazing. So you, so you’re telling me that we don’t have to look over our shoulder for sheila ever again.
Ridge: No, you’re safe.
Steffy: Because of you.
Ridge: Nahhhh. What’s the #1 retinol brand
Liam: I just can’t believe you actually got sheila to, to admit to first degree murder.
Bill: I wasn’t sure it would happen, but it did, and crystal clear for the audio.
Hope: That is amazing.
Bill: Yeah.
Bill: She had to be stopped. Permanently. I couldn’t let her terrorize our families ever again.
Wyatt: So let me make sure I got this straight here. For months, you and sheila were living together.
Bill: I think you know this part of the story, wyatt. Do you need a pop-up book version?
Wyatt: You had to make sure that she… she thought that she was the only one who understood you, right? That you loved her, that you wanted to marry her. But it didn’t matter what anybody else thought, including your family.
Bill: Check on all the above. If she didn’t buy it, think it was legitimate, she would have run or worse, stabbed me in the back when I was sleeping.
Wyatt: Right. So what are we talking, like, romantic nights? You know, long, like, cuddle sessions here by the fire? Bonding. Like, you know, sharing secrets.
Bill: Wow. You know, it’s almost like you were there with us, wyatt.
Liam: Maybe we could, um, like I’m actually getting physically ill.
Wyatt: So, so like, I mean, when the lights turned out and you guys go to go upstairs.
Liam: What are you doing right now?
Wyatt: Trying to see how far he had to go. And I wanna see you throw up. What?
Bill: I had to go as far as you could imagine, wyatt, and further than that.
Liam: Oh, god.
Bill: She had to completely buy my… my devotion.
Wyatt: You, like, you just put it all… you, you, you took one for the team.
Bill: I did it for everyone, wyatt. Gave it my all.
Wyatt: Oh jeez, why did I… I’m so sorry. I, I retract that question.
Bill: You asked.
Wyatt: I need a drink. I apologize. I walked into that.
Finn: That explains the police officer outside sheila’s hospital door.
Steffy: Yeah. Yet, we assumed it was just security through bill. But I did find it odd that bill wasn’t there. The supposed love of his life has a heart attack, and he’s not by her side? He’s not barking orders at doctors? The two of them, they have been inseparable.
Finn: Well, now this all makes sense.
Ridge: Does it? You do get that bill and sheila were never together, right? How could they be? I’m sorry.
Finn: Oh, no, don’t be. Look, I’m well aware who sheila is and what she’s capable of. I got the scar to prove it. I’m just grateful for you and bill for making sure that she’s locked away and never see daylight again.
Ridge: We can move on with our lives.
Taylor: This whole time that ridge was away, you know, he’s been keeping an eye on sheila, making sure that we’re safe. But bill, he’s the one that’s had to do all the dirty work, you know. Pretending that he was in love with sheila.
Brooke: Oooof. He had to live with her. He had to sleep with her. All to protect his family. It was strange. It wasn’t the bill I knew. When he was with her, he couldn’t even speak. Sheila had to speak for him. It was like he was under a spell. It turned out it was the other way around. He was calling the shots.
Taylor: Yeah. Yeah, he was. But, you know, I was thinking about that. I wonder… I wonder how it affected him mentally, you know? Just, oh, god, I’d love to get him on my couch. Let me–
Brooke: Ohhhhh.
Taylor: Shrink couch.
Brooke: Okay.
Taylor: Yeah.
Brooke: Well, I don’t think he would get on your shrink couch and talk about his “feelings.”
Taylor: No, I’m sure that he wouldn’T. You know. But, you know what? We should do something for them. For bill and ridge, you know? They’re kinda like superheroes. We can throw them a batman and robin theme party.
Brooke: Oh! [ Laughing ] That would be fun, actually. It’d be good. I think that would help, kind of, get them back into life, you know.
Taylor: Yeah.
Brooke: You know… ridge went away to… try to figure out life and what he wants. So I think he’ll have some things to say to us.
Taylor: I know. I– whatever it is, it doesn’t matter. I wanna keep it separate from what you and I have built. Brooke, it’s really important to me, our friendship. It really is. I don’t want to lose it. Good food tastes better with a dollop of daisy
Ridge: Let me, let me just ask you this, your professional opinion. You think this heart attack was real?
Finn: Yeah, she almost died.
Steffy: Would have, if finn hadn’t saved her.
Ridge: You saved her? Really?
Steffy: We didn’t want him to.
Ridge: And lee was there too?
Finn: Yeah, she was the first physician on the scene. Ordinarily, she would have been responsible for sheila’s care, but she, flat out, refused to treat her. She asked me to do the same, just let her die.
Ridge: You thought about it, didn’t you?
Finn: I hesitated. Alright, do I honor the oath I gave as a doctor, or do I let the monster die, who attacked the people that I love? Ultimately, I couldn’t do it because in that moment, sheila was a patient who needed me to save her life, so I had to, no matter how horrible she is.
Ridge: That’s the kind of man you are.
Steffy: That’s the man I love. And I love you dad. Thank you so much for sacrificing everything to keep us safe.
[ Telephone ringing ]
Bill: Hey, chief baker, what’s going on? Really? Okay. Keep me posted.
Liam: What, what now?
Bill: Well, sheila had an actual heart attack. Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.
Wyatt: Whoa.
Liam: Something tells me not a lot of tears are gonna be shed for her tonight.
Bill: Who knew she had a heart?
Hope: Well, you certainly do, and you’ve proven that with everything that you gave up to protect us all. I mean, your family’s trust, your standing in the community, and you had to spend all that time with sheila. I mean, I really don’t know if there’s a way for us to thank you for keeping us all safe, especially the children.
Taylor: Okay, so, so there was “tridge,” and there was “bridge.” And now there’s “braylor.” And I am telling you, my friend, that is the end game.
[ Laughing ]
Brooke: Girl power, for sure.
Taylor: Woman power!
Brooke: Yes!
Taylor: We’re gonna stick to our pact, right?
Brooke: Yes. And that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I think now that ridge is back in town, we’re gonna have to be a little bit more careful and protective of our relationship, because I can’t imagine going forward in my life without you in it.
Taylor: I feel the same way. We’ve developed this, this, this real trust with each other and it’s, it’s beautiful.
Brooke: Yeah. It’s rare.
Taylor: Yeah, especially for two women who have spent their entire adult life fighting over a stupid man.
Brooke: Ughhh.
Taylor: Never again.
Brooke: No, never again. Promise.
Taylor: You know, it’s funny. We both have families with ridge, but you know what else we have with him? Unresolved issues. But that’s with him. Me and you, we’re good.
Brooke: 100%.
Taylor: Friends forever.
Brooke: Friends forever.
[ Laughter ]
Taylor: I love this!
[ Giggling ]
Ridge: So, what’s going on here?
Brooke: Oh.
Taylor: Uh.

Hope: I’m actually afraid to believe we can let our guard down.
Bill: Believe it. Sheila’s reign of terror is over.
Wyatt: You must be exhausted.
Bill: You could say that.
Liam: I just, I can’t imagine what it took for you to convince sheila, like, really convince her, that you loved her. I mean, I’m just, I’m so proud of you. I’m humbled by the sacrifice that you made to, to keep all of us safe. I just… suffice it to say, I’ve never loved you more than I do right now. I’m not kidding.
Bill: This is what I miss the most. Seeing the look of love and admiration in the eyes of my boys. My family. Instead of pain and disappointment. I can finally say, after way too long, it’s good to be home.
Liam: Oh, dad! All misty.
Bill: Come here.
Liam: Come on.
Hope: Alright. Aww, guys.
[ Chuckling ]
Steffy: I knew something was off with bill. I knew it! But I never thought he was plotting to send sheila to prison. Gosh!
[ Whispers ] Wow… I feel like I can breathe again.
Finn: Yeah. I’m grateful for that. It’s the threat of sheila, it… it’s finally gone.
Steffy: Yeah. Hey, what’s wrong with you?
Finn: Nothing. It’s just… sheila could have totally been out of our lives if I would’ve listened to my mother.
Steffy: It’s not who you are, finn. You’re a healer. You value human life. You save it. You don’t end it. So don’t second guess your decision, okay? You did the right thing. Like I said, it’s who you are. You’re compassionate and you’re loving. And I’m so, so lucky to be married to a guy like you.
[ Laughter ]
Ridge: So, what did I walk in on?
Taylor: Okay. Well, we will get to that in just a minute. But first, I talked to steffy. Sheila really had a heart attack.
Ridge: I know. I talked to her too. So, yeah, she flatlined and finn brought her back, despite everything.
Taylor: Yeah, that’s because he’s a good man and we’re lucky to have him as a son-in-law.
Ridge: I agree. What?
[ Giggling ]
Brooke: Nothing. No, no. Taylor and I had just been talking about everything that has happened and we’re really impressed that you and bill were able to pull this off.
Taylor: Yeah. And teaming up to do it.
Brooke: Yeah, it’s incredible.
Taylor: It’s crazy.
Brooke: Pretty cool. How you feeling?
Ridge: Oh. Uh, I’m good. I’m–
Taylor: Yeah?
Ridge: Tired.
Taylor: Uh-huh.
Ridge: I was in that bunker 24/7 with jim. Takes it out of you.
Taylor: Yeah.
Ridge: So, I’m ready to, uh, do whatever passes as normal these days. Bunk up with dad for a while.
Brooke: Oh, that’s good.
Taylor: That’s good. Good idea.
Ridge: What is happening here. What’s going on?
Brooke: Just, something happened while you were gone.
Ridge: No way!
Taylor: Oh, ridge! Seriously?! Did you see that?!
Ridge: No, I didn’t?
Taylor: No, no. Brooke and I are, are friends now.
Ridge: Uh huh.
Brooke: Yeah. We’ve grown very close, and nothing is going to change that.
Taylor: No, nothing. I mean, look, we both have families with you.
Ridge: Yeah.
Taylor: But at this stage in our life, we are choosing our friendship over our feelings for you. Mm-hmm.
Ridge: What are you telling me?
Taylor: Brooke has become my best friend.
Brooke: And taylor has become my best friend. Friends first, right?
