Lily: I’m fine.
[ Chuckles ] Really.
Daniel: Mm-hmm. Why don’t you try that with someone who doesn’t know you the way I do? You were upset when I walked in here. Now, whatever’s wrong didn’t just miraculously go away. Unless I’m magic, which, you know, I have been accused of that, so…
Lily: [ Chuckles ] I don’t know. I think there’s a law against talking about current relationship issues with an ex.
Daniel: Okay. But you know what? I bet if I was a bartender or a cab driver or any other disinterested third party, I mean, you’d probably tell me the whole story, wouldn’t you?
Lily: Well, that’s different. I would never see them again.
Daniel: You have my word. I will forget every single word after the fact, if that’s what you want, you know, like the conversation never even happened. Yes, we are exes. But you know what’s bigger than that? Our friendship.
Lily: Alright. [ Sighs ] You asked for it. I just feel like I’M… losing billy. Or maybe we’re losing each other.
Billy: I don’t think there’s anything you need to make amends for or apologize for. We’re good.
Chelsea: That’s nice of you to say. But we both know it’s not true.
Billy: We do?
Chelsea: [ Sighs ] I appreciate you trying to let me off the hook. But I have to do this, not just for me, but for you, as well.
Billy: Yeah, I guess I’m — I’m just not exactly sure what we’re talking about here.
Chelsea: It’s up to you if you don’t want to hear it. I’m not gonna force anything because that exact thing, not giving you a choice — I mean, we were practically strangers — is something I’m incredibly ashamed of.
Billy: So, we are talking about what happened in myanmar?
Chelsea: The night johnny was conceived.
Victoria: You should have received a series of e-mails from my assistant outlining our brief time in los angeles and what will be involved.
Nate: I got it. Looks good.
[ Sighs ] So, is there anything special I need to bring? Anything I need to be prepared for?
Victoria: Yes. Just to bring your best smile and be prepared to be overwhelmed by a warm reception because everyone is really looking forward to meeting with you.
Nate: I can’t wait. I hope it’s okay with you. I added a meeting with someone.
Victoria: Oh. Who is it?
Nate: This kid is breaking the internet right now. I don’t even know where to start. He’s a k-pop singing sensation, a social-media phenomenon, and he also stars in a k-drama series. This kid is on the cutting edge of everything, and if we vibe, I was thinking of doing a long-term collaboration deal.
Victoria: Hmm. Okay. Well, that sounds interesting. I guess there’s no harm in meeting him, so let’s do it.
Nate: Great. And before I forget, elena’s checking to see if she can rearrange her schedule so she can come along.
Victoria: Oh. You want to bring her on your first business trip with newman?
Nate: Would that be a problem?
Victoria: [ Chuckles ] Well, I mean, it’s not a vacation. We’re only there one day and we already have meetings scheduled and everything’s pretty much back to back.
Nate: I will be laser-focused and ready to learn. It won’t be a problem.
[ Cellphone pings ] Oh. Sorry about that. It’s elena. Ah. Looks like she can’t make the trip.
Victoria: I hope everything’s okay.
Nate: Couple of doctors are out sick, and she has to fill in for them. So, that’s that.
Victoria: [ Sighs ]
[ Knock on door ] Oh. Devon.
Devon: I need to speak to nate alone. The world is full of make or break moments.

Nate: I’d be happy to speak with you, devon, but as you can see, we’re in the middle of a meeting.
Victoria: Oh, no, no, no. It’s fine. I mean, I think we’ve gone over all of the pertinent details.
Nate: If you’re sure we’re finished.
Victoria: Yes. We can talk about anything else on our way there.
Nate: Looking forward to it.
Victoria: Oh, so am I. Devon. Take care of yourself.
Devon: Oh, you too.
Nate: What’s the emergency?
Devon: So, you remember all of those chancellor-winters meetings that you sat in on, gathering information to use against us, right?
Nate: We spoke about all of that already. What’s your point?
Devon: My point is that youe ght to involve yourself in my professional life and my personal life. So, whatever happened between amanda and me is none of your damn business.
Lily: I mean, it’s not a big deal, you know? Billy and I — we clash sometimes, like all couples do. You know, like I said, we’re very different.
Daniel: Opposites attract.
Lily: [ Sighs ] I don’t know. I feel like something has changed.
Daniel: Well, from what i recall, billy’s got some destructive habits. Does this have something to do with one of those?
Lily: That’s what my instincts are telling me. It’s just, I don’t know if it’s a fair assessment.
Daniel: Why not?
Lily: Because, I mean, he’s helping a woman who is genuinely going through a very difficult time.
Daniel: Okay. And you think that maybe something is going on between the two of them?
Lily: No, no, no, no, nothing romantic, no.
[ Stammers, sighs ] It’s like he’s helping her at the exclusion of everything else, you know? He gets a text from her and he just drops everything and he goes. And — and it’s like he’s made her the center of his universe. He was there for her at this very crucial moment, and it’s almost like it’s imprinted on them, you know, and they have this, like, weird dependency with each other.
[ Sighs ] I don’t even know what I’m saying. I feel like I sound like I’m heartless or something.
Daniel: No. No. That’s the last thing you are. You sound like a woman whose boyfriend is showing up for someone else and leaving you to simmer on the back burner.
Lily: I mean, I’m not insensitive to what she’s going through, you know? Even though it sounds like I am. I — you know what? I’ve over-shared, and —
[ Sighs ] This is your fault. You forced this out of me.
[ Scoffs ]
[ Sighs ]
Daniel: Hmm.
Lily: What? Just — what?
Daniel: Nothing. I was just thinking that billy must have really gotten his act together for you to be this involved with him.
Lily: I mean, he can be the most exciting man in the room, you know? He’s — he’s thoughtful. He’s charming. He’s everything you could want in a partner.
Daniel: Until he isn’T. He’s impulsive. He makes choices that lead to disastrous outcomes.
[ Chuckles ] Oh, come on. What? Look, I’m not the one who’s in love with the guy. I can say whatever I want about him.
Lily: Yeah, clearly.
Daniel: Okay. Here’s the question. Is he falling into old patterns? You know, even though he’s trying to do the right thing and be this stand-up guy.
Lily: That’s exactly what it is. I feel like this is just a symptom.
Billy: [ Sighs ] We can talk about what happened in myanmar. But why? Um, you know it’s ancient history and, uh… we’re different people now. So I guess I just don’t really understand what —
Chelsea: The point is, I need to be accountable, own what i did, show you the respect i didn’t show you that night.
Billy: Okay, I appreciate that, but I don’t think —
Chelsea: What I did in myanmar was wrong, billy. And there’s no excusing it. So please…let me do this.
Billy: [ Inhales deeply ]
[ Clears throat ]
[ Sighs ]
Chelsea: Um, you know…
[ Sighs ] You were just another mark to me, you know, a cute, funny mark who tipped well.
[ Sighs ] We had sex —
Billy: Chels, I know all this, okay? I’m — I-I know.
Chelsea: You didn’t do anything wrong. And you got thrown in that godforsaken prison because of me. And you didn’t remember any of it. To me, at the time, it was just a crazy night that went too far, but I realize now it was wrong. It wasn’t just wild, and it most certainly wasn’t just consensual. How could it be when you were high out of your mind? And I realize now how wrong it was. When you can barely smell your plug-in,
Connor: Bye, dad!
Sharon: Hey, connor. How was school today?
Connor: Incredibly school-like. And after a long day in class, there’s one thing I want more than anything.
Sharon: One hot chocolate coming right up.
Connor: Thanks.
Sharon: After I hear one thing that you learned in school today that you thought was interesting.
Connor: Let’s see. Oh, some lichens grow just one millimeter in an entire year.
Sharon: Wow. Well, if that’s the best they can do, yay for the lichens.
Connor: And scientists have found them in the coldest places on earth.
Johnny: And they’re a life-form that’s a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and an algae.
Connor: Hey, johnny.
Johnny: ‘Sup, con. It’s freezing out there.
Connor: Want to go see if we can find any lichens?
Johnny: As long as I can get in on some of that hot chocolate action.
Sharon: You’re in. One hot chocolate coming up for you. Oh, michelle, could you please grab two hot chocolates, please?Ank yo um, are your parents joining you?
Johnny: Oh, uh, my mom just dropped me off. I convinced her to let me hang here for a while.
Sharon: Okay. Well, why don’t you two boys grab a seat? I’ll bring the hot chocolates over when they come out.
Johnny: Oh, I leveled up in “moonlight mayhem.”
Connor: No way. I can’t get past the boss on level 28.
Chance: Guys.
Sharon: Hey, chance.
Chance: Hi.
Sharon: Can I get you something?
Chance: I’ll do a black coffee, please.
Sharon: Okay.
Chance: Boys look like they’re having a good time, yeah? I know abby sure adores them.
Sharon: How are things, uh, going between you two?
Chance: I haven’t really seen her since I moved out. Been pretty busy settling into my new place. Thank you.
Sharon: You know, my offer to be a sounding board if you need it — oh, thank you, michelle — it still stands.
Chance: Oh. [ Chuckles ] I don’t want to get in the way of the boys and their hot cocoas now.
Sharon: Uh, yeah, they do look a little impatient. Let me bring these over there, and I’ll be right back.
Chance: Okay.
Sharon: Connor’S. And one for johnny, too.
Johnny: Thank you.
Connor: These are even better than last time. Thanks, sharon.
Sharon: Wow. You’re welcome. Please enjoy.
Johnny: You must get special treatment in here, don’t you?
Connor: Maybe a little.
Johnny: Well, then we are going to have to hang out a whole lot more.
Connor: [ Chuckles ]
Abby: Okay. Alright. There we are. Wow. I promise I will take you back to the park tomorrow because all those decorations — they were so beautiful.
[ Gasps ] Look, you have a baby lion right here.
[ Sighs ] You were turning into a baby snowman.
[ Smooches ] And we can’t have that, can we? So here we are in daddy devon’s toasty, toasty little place. Yeah. Yeah. So, here, let’s get all comfy and cozy and warm. How does that sound? Huh? Yes, daddy devon said he will be back soon and we should make ourselves at home, so that is exactly what we are doing. And you know what I think? I think we need a change of scenery, huh?
Dominic: Mama.
Abby: Ugh. I know. I know. Things have been a little sad at home since chance left. And we are getting our footing. But I promise everything is gonna be okay. Yeah.
[ Sighs ]
Nate: You and amanda are the last thing on my mind at this moment.
Devon: Mm.
Nate: So I’m not sure why you barged in here so upset.
Devon: Well, you asked lily about us, and then apparently her answer wasn’t good enough, so then you asked me about us.
Nate: Then you shut me down, said it was a family matter.
Devon: I spoke to imani this morning on the phone, and she told me that you called her and you asked her about us.
Nate: I called imani to see how naya’s holding up and if her condition had changed.
Devon: And then you what? You conveniently steered the conversation to me?
Nate: Steered it to you?
Devon: Yeah.
Nate: Amanda’s rather abrupt relocation to virginia came up, yes. But isn’t it natural for me to wonder what could have happened to cause her to walk away from both her job and a committed relationship with you?
Devon: No, it’s not. What’s natural is to let something go when somebody tells you it’s none of your business. That’s what’s natural.
Nate: Wow. This is quite the touchy subject for you, isn’t it? Makes me wonder, what in the world could you have done to mess things up with amanda? Hi, I’m lauren, I lost 67 pounds on golo.
Chance: Look at them. They make it look so easy. I mean, after years of thinking they were cousins, they find out they’re biological brothers and they just roll with it.
Sharon: Children can be very wise. We could learn a lot from them.
Chance: Well, I hope they can tell me their secret because I’ve been doing everything I can to be amicable with abby. And — I don’t know — inside, i just got a lot of things going on.
Sharon: Well, that’s only natural. The key is to find a healthy way to get those feelings out.
Chance: Like talking to you?
Sharon: Sure. I was thinking about, you know, you could go to the gym, hit a punching bag, but whatever works for you.
Chance: Mnh. Boxing kind of reminds me of victor. I think I’ll stick with you.
Sharon: It won’t be terrible. I promise.
Chance: I know. You’re pretty easy to talk to. I’ll tell you what I’m worried about the most. It’s dominic. You know, he’s so young, and he’s going through all these big changes. You know, I read somewhere that early childhood trauma can impact the rest of your life.
Sharon: It can. But you and abby and devon are all putting him first. You’re doing everything you can to make this transition easy for him.
Chance: I just don’t want him to feel like he has to grow up and navigate all this tension between everybody. And I know the solution is to get rid of all the tension, but — I don’t know — that’s tough. I can’t just snap my fingers, make it all go away.
Sharon: Well, in time, it’ll get easier. You’ll all move on.
Chance: You know, I spent my entire childhood believing my dad was dead. And even though I had the best mom in the world and I had a great stepdad in ryan… I still felt that loss.
Sharon: And then you lost ryan, too.
Chance: I wanted things to be less complicated for my son. I think I failed.
Sharon: No, you didn’T. Dom will always be in your life. He’ll have this blended and, yes, unconventional family, but that could be a huge advantage to him. He’ll have so many people who love him. Look at those boys. You know, they have been through divorces, stepparents. Now they’ve just found out they’re brothers. And they’re doing great. That’s dom’s future.
Lily: God, you have no idea how good it feels to talk about this. It just — it’s been driving me crazy.
Daniel: I know you don’t need me to tell you this, but whatever’s going on with him, it — it isn’t about or because of you.
Lily: I mean, my head knows that, but…my heart, not so sure.
Daniel: Okay.
[ Clears throat ] Well, are you, um, ready for my outsider’s opinion?
Lily: [ Chuckles ] Sure.
Daniel: You and billy aren’t losing each other.
Lily: Then what’s happening?
Daniel: What’s happening is you. You’re too nice.
Lily: [ Laughs ] What’s that even mean? What?
Daniel: If you weren’t so focused on being polite, you would admit that billy’s choices — they aren’t compatible with a long-term relationship. And the two of you might actually benefit from setting more defined boundaries. How’d I do?
Lily: [ Sighs ] That was awful.
Daniel: [ Laughs ] What’d I say that was so wrong?
Lily: Nothing, nothing. I — [ Sighs ] I shouldn’t even be talking about this. Just — [ Sighs ] We had an argument, and — and I’m still figuring things out. So, that’s it.
Daniel: Okay. Well, let me present a different, more optimistic scenario. What if the guy is more noble than any of us have ever given him credit for? And this person he’s helping — what if she is in such a bad place that she needs him to be this involved and she needs him to be this committed, you know, just to make it through this difficult time?
“The young and the restless”
will continue.
Chelsea: I drugged you, billy. Because of what I did, you were in no condition to consent to anything.
Billy: I hear you. And I need you to listen to me for a second here, okay, because I’ve had a wild streak my entire life. And — and when I think back on that night, it was a perfect storm of, “why the hell not?” I walked on the wild side, and i enjoyed every minute of it, chels.
Chelsea: You’re doing that thing again. Stop it.
Billy: What thing is that?
Chelsea: That thing, that thing you do where you make excuses for me because you think it’s too much for me to handle. If you don’t want to talk about it, fine, but otherwise, please —
Billy: No, I guess I just don’t understand where this is coming from right now.
Chelsea: Johnny. Johnny. That’s where this is coming from. He’s gonna grow up and ask questions. This sweet, beautiful, innocent little boy is gonna ask questions, and he’s gonna want to know how I met his dad. And that — that breaks my heart for him. And truly, it breaks my heart for you, too. You never remembered anything. And that’s awful. And it doesn’t matter what you said or did at the time. That was not real consent. I mean, am… am I wrong that this matters?
Billy: My son was created that night with someone that i barely knew. And you’re right. I don’t remember anything. But he exists. And I love him. And because of him, I wouldn’t change a thing. But…if anything like that ever happened to him —
Chelsea: I know. I know, billy.
[ Voice breaking ] And I am so sorry.
Sharon: Children are resilient.
Chance: Yeah, I, uh — I got to remember that. Maybe I’ll worry less about dom.
Sharon: Adults can be resilient, too. I’ve seen you overcome all kinds of things in the past, and this is no different.
Chance: Yeah, I keep asking myself — after everything that happened in spain, this should be easy to get over, right? It shouldn’t be a big deal. It’s not.
Sharon: Nothing is bigger than your family. So don’t discount what you’re going through now.
Chance: Well, I’ll tell you one thing. Wallowing is not the answer, either. I know what I do need. I need to add a little bit of johnny and connor’s “que ser* ser*” vibe into my life.
Sharon: Maybe we should ask them for advice.
Chance: [ Chuckles ]
Abby: Look at this picture. You see these people? This — this is your family. You know daddy. And then there’s aunt lily. She’s daddy’s sister, and she adores you.
Dominic: Yeah.
Abby: Yeah.
Dominic: Yeah.
Abby: And this man right here — you know him.
Dominic: Yeah.
Abby: Yeah. He’s grandpa neil. Grandpa neil. You want to know something? Grandpa neil and grandpa victor were really good friends, just like me and your dad.
Dominic: Yeah. Yeah.
Dominic: Ma. Ma. Ma.
Abby: Daddy and I, our friendship — it goes way back. And that friendship is very important to me. And now I don’t know what’s gonna happen.
Nate: Amanda told imani something went down between the two of you. That’s the reason why she decided not to stick around genoa city. She just didn’t tell her what it was.
Devon: Okay, then. It doesn’t concern either one of you, it sounds like.
Nate: Amanda decided to walk away from her relationship with you. After speaking with imani, i know it wasn’t about naya’s condition. That hasn’t changed. Which leads me to think the two of you had some sort of falling-out, like, a big one.
Devon: Why are you so obsessed with a family that you’re not a part of anymore?
Nate: I don’t know if you know this, but amanda stopped by my place last time when she got back from virginia.
Devon: Uh-huh. Yeah. And?
Nate: She wanted to find a way to make things work between you and me. She was trying to help you because she knows how much family means to you.
Devon: Right, and it doesn’t mean anything to you, which is why you’ve lost the right to ask me any questions about my life. Okay?
Nate: Okay. Last time I saw amanda, she was with chance. Yeah. He showed up right after our conversation about love and forgiveness and family. They were headed to your place. The next thing I know, you and amanda were done. It makes me wonder — what did I miss? Hmm. Who says you have to spend more on skincare
Johnny: That’s the link for the game download and right under that is my username and that way —
Connor: We can play together even when we’re not hanging out in the same place.
Johnny: You’re gonna be into it. The graphics are so cool.
Connor: I have to run it by my mom first. She always checks to make sure everything’s age-appropriate.
Johnny: Yeah, my mom’s the same way.
Connor: I bet they all read the same rulebook.
Johnny: But is chelsea, like, really strict?
Connor: On a scale of 1 to 10, she’s probably a solid 5.
Johnny: Yeah. That’s not that bad.
Connor: Don’t get me wrong. She won’t even let me start gaming till I do all my homework and chores.
Johnny: Yeah. Same.
Connor: It’s rough sometimes, but we’ve been apart before, like when she was in the hospital. And there was that time I was away in boarding school. So I can handle it when she’s bossy. At least it means we’re together.
Chance: I’m not gonna unload my problems on a bunch of kids.
Sharon: No, of course not. I was just thinking we could ask them what’s putting a smile on their face. Maybe they could show us adults how to do it.
Chance: What if they’re posting one of those dance videos? I can’t do it. That’s not in my capabilities. Mnh-mnh.
Sharon: There’s one way to find out.
Devon: Nate, you don’t need to wonder anything about my breakup with amanda, okay?
Nate: I can’t help being curious. The timing was so sudden.
Devon: Why are you acting like you care in the first place? You were ready to sell us out, and you now want me to believe that this concern is genuine?
Nate: It is. I witnessed up close all the obstacles you and amanda had to face to get where you were. You looked like the perfect couple.
Devon: Well, you clearly had no idea what was going on in our relationship.
Nate: True. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors. But the last time we spoke, amanda was saying the most beautiful things about how much she loved you.
Devon: Nate, you’ve shown to me that you don’t give a damn about me. So, why are you interested? I am sad that the two of you didn’t work out. But it’s more than that now, given how evasive you’re being.
[ Scoffs ] It sure would be a shock to learn that you’ve been acting all holier than thou with me when you’ve got your own mistakes to answer for.
Devon: Oh, we’re calling what you did a “mistake” now?
Nate: I am tired of you dumping on me, saying I’m a horrible human being and what i did is unforgivable, when I’ve apologized repeatedly and sincerely.
Devon: Well, there’s the problem right there, is that you think by doing that, you can erase all the damage you’ve done.
Nate: I reached out to you, and you turned me down. Now you come to my place of business to get in my face for asking why your relationship crashed and burned. You took a casual remark I made to imani and blew it up. What did you do that’s so incendiary you’re afraid I’ll find out? I admitted what I planned to do, but you don’t have the guts to own up to whatever you actually did to amanda.
Lily: It just feels like there’s an underlying addictive component to what billy’s doing.
Daniel: Helping this friend.
Lily: Yeah, because he’s doing a good thing, helping someone through a hard time, you know? But it’s like it makes him feel good to be the one that she turns to, who has all the answers. And then the more he feels good, the more he wants that and he needs that.
Daniel: It’s white knight syndrome.
Lily: Yeah. I mean, it’s his sole focus in life. And then, of course, you know, he doesn’t see it, so when i bring it up to him…
Devon: Then you’re the bad guy trying to kill his buzz.
Lily: Exactly.
[ Sighs ] I mean, tell me I’m wrong. Tell me I’m misreading this whole situation.
Daniel: Mnh, I’m not gonna do that. I mean, I trust your gut over just about anybody else’S.
Lily: Yeah, right.
Daniel: No. Really. You are smart and sympathetic and thoughtful. I mean, if you’re seeing red flags, then… look, I know that you already know this, but I’m gonna say it anyway.
Lily: [ Sighs ] Oh, god. What?
Daniel: Billy is billy. You can’t change him, so don’t try. No one can really change anyone else. They have to want to change. So, where does that leave you?
Johnny: Okay, so, it’s called “moonlight mayhem” because the monsters only come out at night.
Connor: Werewolves, vampires. They all love the dark.
Chance: Kind of like crooks.
Johnny: Yeah, except criminals don’t literally burn to a crisp whenever they’re in the sun.
Sharon: He’s got a point.
Chance: Alright, well, can — can you teach me to play?
Connor: You really want to learn?
Chance: Yeah. I want to change things up, man. I want to take on some vampires and some werewolves. Let’s go.
Johnny: Alright.
Chance: Alright. Right here? Is that what I do?
Connor: Yeah.
Chance: Oh! Whoops.
Abby: Ohh. Come here. I know. You’re my baby. You’re my baby.
Dominic: [ Cooing ]
Abby: And I know that things are pretty weird right now. And I’m sorry about that. I really wish they weren’T. But maybe that’s just how things were meant for us. ‘Cause, to be honest, things were kind of weird before you were born, too. My parents weren’t together. And just like you, I had a second dad, and his name was brad. And he was wonderful.
[ Chuckles ] Want to know what else I had? I had a lot of love around me, a lot of people who were invested in making everything okay, just like you have. And I know that things have been different since chance moved out, but different doesn’t mean bad. Things are gonna get better.
Dominic: [ Cooing ]
Abby: Yeah. I know they will. Yeah.
Devon: So, here’s what you don’t seem to understand, nate, is that I don’t owe you anything at all — anything. I don’t owe you any respect. I don’t owe you any explanations. Literally nothing.
Nate: I hear you. You’ve made yourself loud and clear. I can’t even ask you about what’s going on in your life.
Devon: Now you’re catching on.
Nate: Got it. So, let me make myself clear. Since we’re not family and we’re not colleagues, there’s no reason for you to show up here again.
Devon: Well, don’t give me a reason to show up here again. Mind your business and stay out of my life. How about that?
[ Door opens ]
[ Door slams ]
Lily: You’re a good friend.
Devon: You know, some would say the best.
Lily: [ Chuckles ] I’m really happy we’ve been able to maintain that — through everything, you know? Marriages, divorces, children, time.
Daniel: Me too.
Lily: I’m really happy I can share things like this with you.
Daniel: [ Chuckles ] Do you feel better?
Lily: Yeah. Thank you.
Daniel: I’m glad I could help.
Lily: You know, the thing is, in spite of everything and how frustrated I’ve been, I really do want to believe that this is a rough patch and that billy and I will work through this.
Daniel: You know, I just want you to be happy. That’s what you deserve. And I really hope that billy is the one to help you find that happiness.
Chelsea: You deserved better. Johnny deserved better.
Billy: I appreciate your apology. I do. And I’m pretty sure dr. Malone didn’t want this to be a torturous situation for you.
Chelsea: It’s not — it’s not torture. It’s a release, actually. You know, all of the selfish, destructive things I did, all the reasons I hated myself, i would push them down. This has forced me to look at them and make amends and not let them control me.
Billy: Then it’s all worth it. And I’ve moved on. And the most important thing is johnny is happy, he’s healthy, and he’s thriving. And you can move on, too.
Chelsea: How can I?
Billy: Because if the same situation presented itself, i mean, you wouldn’t do the same thing, would you?
Chelsea: No, never.
Billy: Of course you wouldn’t because you’re not the same person. And what you just did was incredibly brave.
Chelsea: Telling the truth?
Billy: For taking responsibility for your actions and choices that you made a long time ago. But that was a lifetime ago. And you’ve made your amends. I acknowledge it, and i appreciate it.
Chelsea: Well, I’m not gonna ask for forgiveness because what I did was unforgivable. But I do want you to know I am raising connor to be a better person than I ever was. And I am not going to forget or excuse my behavior. But I am grateful that you’ve shown me a semblance of kindness. It’s more than I deserve.
