Elq and aurora are going to merge, which not only gives elq media presence, it gives drew a majority share and a bigger and better elq, which means valentin won’t be able to engineer another takeover. And, um, since you just made a pretty big investment in aurora… well, rumors that the two companies might merge has sent aurora stock skyrocketing, so I cannot wait for it to actually happen. Well, I take it you’ll have done very well for yourself? Very, very. But you know what?
[ Sighs ] The money’s great. It is. But that’s not why I’m smiling. I am so happy that drew and michael are going to be working together. Well, I’m so happy for both of them, too, but especially for michael. I mean, after that nightmare of a trial with nina, and the way that sonny treated him, I mean… yeah. I’m sorry. Oh, don’t be. Don’t — don’t be. I mean, that trial was a joke, and I’m just glad that the judge could see that. Michael deserves a win, and so does drew, and I’m just happy I could help a little. Or a lot. Okay. [ Chuckles ] But you know what? It’s money well spent, and I couldn’t be prouder or more hopeful for the future. So this is twice that you used our family against itself. The first time, you maneuvered brook lynn out of her stock. So tell me this time, what did you do to bring ned over to your side? You and drew took your best shot, and it was not good enough. So, as lucy so wisely pointed out, when casting the deciding vote, it is time to think of the good of the company. And to that end, I propose we name ned quartermaine new chairman of the board. I second the motion. And, willow, maybe this is a good time to help michael see that this is the only and best way to keep the family involved. Is that how you rationalize it, lucy? Lucy doesn’t need to rationalize anything. Now, I believe there is a motion on the floor.

He didn’t imply it, mom. He straight out said it. He attacked michael on the stand, and michael kept his composure. That is impressive. I would have jumped the stand and punched scott right in the face.
[ Laughs ] Back in the day, I would have, too. But michael handled that the right way. Yes, he did. He did. He kept his cool, and he didn’t bite the bait from scott. Where do you think that comes from? I mean, how was michael able to stay so calm and so cold in that moment? Jason was like that. It must be somewhere in the quartermaine gene pool.
