Season 2 Premiering October 8 on NBC (10-11p.m. ET/PT)
âThe Irrationalâ follows world-renowned professor of behavioral science Alec Mercer (Jesse L. Martin) as he lends his unique expertise to high-stakes cases and mysteries. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior lead him to work alongside varying clients ranging from the FBI to everyday people caught in perplexing situations desperate for answers. With the help of his trusted team and social-science experiments, Alec solves crimes and uncovers the truth to answer intriguing, and irrational, questions.
The cast also includes Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz and Arash DeMaxi.
Arika Lisanne Mittman, Mark Goffman, Sam Baum, David Frankel and Robert Wolfe executive produce.
The show is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Phoebe, “The Irrational”
Molly Kunz stars as Phoebe in the NBC drama âThe Irrational.â
Kunz recurred on âColony,â âFinding Carterâ and Huluâs original series âBattleground,â created by J.D. Walsh. She also co-starred in the Lifetime movie âThe Marsh Sisters at Christmas.â
On the film side, Kunz will co-star in the thriller âWild Eyed and Wickedâ and was previously in âThe Wolf and the Lion,â based on the French film âMia and The White Lion.â Kunz also had a supporting role in Steve McQueenâs feature âWidows,â opposite Colin Farrell, as well as a role in the indie âThe Wise Kids.â
Kunz is originally from Madison, Wisc., and began her career in regional theater. Productions include âThe Nerdâ (Memorial Theatre Company), âThe Sound of Musicâ (Music Theater of Madison), âCarouselâ (Madison Repertory Theater), âThe Boxcar Childrenâ (CTM Family Theater Company), âThe Secret Gardenâ (University of Wisconsin Theater), âAnnieâ (Stagestruck Productions), âTom Sawyerâ (Madison Creative Arts Program), âAlice in Wonderlandâ (Shorewood Drama), âThe Nutcracker Balletâ (Madison Ballet), and âSleeping Beauty Balletâ (Performing Arts for Children).
