Poppy: Tell me what happened, luna.
Luna: I don’t know.
Poppy: Okay, but you said you woke up in bed with zende.
Luna: Yes, but I thought it was rj. I saw his face, mom. I thought I was in bed with him, but it was zende. I slept with zende.
Poppy: Oh, honey, I am so sorry.
Luna: Something’s not right, mom. Something was seriously wrong with me last night, and I don’t know what it is, but I need you to help me, please.
Brooke: Honey, I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.
Rj: Probably not. It’s just it seemed like luna was a little down when she was on the phone.
Brooke: Well, at least you got to talk to her after trying to reach her all morning.
Rj: Yeah, but that’s– that’s the thing. Luna, she’s never without her phone. She always has it on her, ready to pick up.
Brooke: She probably just needed to sleep in.
Rj: It sounds like it was more than that. I don’t know, but if you’re right, you know, and– and she’s just not feeling well, then, you know, I wanna be there for her, to help her and take care of her.
Brooke: Well, it’s nice that you offered, you know, she knows that you care. But luna’s not alone here in los angeles. She does have her mom to look out for her.
Luna: I thought that I was with rj, zende. I saw his face. How could I make that up?
Eric: Zende? What’s wrong?
Eric: I was getting some fresh air outside in the courtyard. I thought I’d stop in and say hi.
Zende: I’m glad you did. Congratulations again to you and donna.
Eric: Thank you. Yeah, your, uh, your granddad is a married man again. I’m officially off the market.
Zende: I feel bad for the ladies of beverly hills. They will be bummed to hear it.
Eric: It was great last night. It was so much fun surprising everyone. And surprising donna, especially. I mean, the whole evening was a great, great treat.
Zende: Yeah, we are all really excited for you. Truly.
Eric: You okay this morning? I mean, you seem a little down this morning. You okay?
Zende: Yeah, I, um, I just got a little bit of a stomach ache. That’s– that’s all.
Eric: So, you’re feeling the effects of last night, are you?
Brooke: Did anything happen with you and luna last night?
Rj: No. Nothing. I mean, she was excited to be at granddad’S. She was really honored to be included. She was having a good time at the party. Um, and then after a few hours, she got tired and she wanted to go home. She went home early. I don’t know. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time.
Brooke: So, you didn’t argue or…
Rj: No. Nothing. Nothing at all. I– I don’t remember her being upset ever.
Brooke: Oh, honey. I’m sure she just wasn’t feeling well. And if that’s the case, she has her mother to take care of her. And a mother’s love is always the best medicine.
Luna: How could i have done that? This isn’t me.
Poppy: No, it’s not.
Luna: This isn’t who I am. I love rj. I would never cheat on him. Never. But I did. I cheated on the most wonderful guy. I mean, why would I even do that? How could I do that?
Poppy: I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry. I hope you can forgive me.
Luna: Mom, what are you talking about? What are you saying? Open your eyes bigger.
Eric: You had a good time last night, didn’t you?
Zende: At the party? Yeah, yeah, it was cool.
Eric: Good. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself.
Zende: Yeah, you really pulled it together at the last minute there. An engagement and a wedding on the same night. Pretty badass.
Eric: Badass. That’s nice. I’m not called that very often. I think I like it. I had a lot of help pulling it off, though. Really.
Zende: Yeah, I don’t know how you manage it all. And you’re still recovering from a serious illness.
Eric: I feel pretty energized these days. Being married to a younger woman can really do that for a man, you know? I couldn’t wait to marry donna.
Zende: After all you’ve been through, I bet.
Eric: Look, when you know, you know, right? Why put it off?
Zende: I’m happy for you, granddad.
Eric: You know, zende, there’s a cure for what you’re feeling, right now?
Zende: What?
Eric: Yeah, um you know, a lot of water and– and some aspirin, some vitamin b, maybe a little hair of the dog, some people say.
Zende: I’m not hungover.
Eric: Are you sure? You’re not just feeling the effects of the evening? It’s nothing to be ashamed of, zende. It was a really fun evening. Everybody was drinking a lot of champagne, having a lot of fun. Everyone, everyone was. I’m just– I’m just glad there were no, you know, big slip-ups for the evening. It was a really unexpected night, wasn’t it?
Zende: Totally unexpected. So that’s– that’s what love can do, you know?
Zende: Love?
Eric: Yeah, love.
Rj: Is it pathetic that I already miss luna?
Brooke: No, honey. I think it’s sweet.
Rj: It’s just that I’m just so used to seeing her every morning. It’s just, it feels like weird to me that she’s not here, you know? And– and it’s very unlike her not to text me when she first wakes up, you know? And then, when I do call her and she does pick up this morning, there’s this tone in her voice that was just like, you know, like I’ve never heard that tone in her voice before.
Brooke: It can’t be something too horrible. I mean, what’s the worst it could be?
Rj: I don’t know. Maybe she’s mad at me?
Brooke: I highly doubt it. And if she is, I’m sure the two of you could talk through it, right?
Rj: Yeah, I guess. I mean, we’ve had a pretty solid track record so far. We’ve– I don’t think we’ve had a single disagreement since we first met each other at granddad’S.
Brooke: I just can’t believe that you two met in the forrester mansion the same way your father and I met. It’s crazy. I look back at that time and I remember it fondly. Your father and I have had our ups and downs, but we will always have that intense connection. And now you and luna are together. I just hope your road will be much smoother.
Poppy: I am so sorry, baby. And I hope you can forgive me.
Luna: Mom, you’re making no sense. This isn’t about you. You weren’t there at zende’s last night.
Poppy: I know, but it was my fault.
Luna: How? If you’re– if you’re gonna try and blame this on my upbringing, you have nothing to feel guilty about.
Poppy: No, no, it’s not about–
Luna: Then what is it? I’m the one that slept with zende. How is this possibly your fault?
Poppy: It was a mistake, and I am so sorry.
Luna: Would you stop? What do you have to feel sorry about?
Poppy: I think I know what happened to you last night. I would’ve called yesterday.
Eric: I was actually surprised you didn’t bring anybody with you last night.
Zende: Well, in all fairness, you hardly gave me a heads up.
Eric: I guess I didn’t, did I? I’m sorry about that. I just want to assure you, you’re welcome to bring anyone with you anytime you come to the forrester– you know that.
Zende: Yeah, yeah, no. I just wanted to focus on you being with the family.
Eric: I understand that. Sometimes, it’s easier not to worry about if someone’s being entertained or not, or if they’re just happy just being with you, you know. Although, who wouldn’t have had a good time last night? It was definitely an evening to remember.
Zende: Definitely.
Eric: And you’re out there though, aren’t you? I mean, look at you. You’re this incredibly eligible young man, right? You’re handsome, you’re accomplished. You’re a forrester, for god’s sake. Any woman would be lucky to be on your arm.
Zende: I appreciate that, granddad.
Eric: You’re ready, aren’t you? I mean, you’re ready to find that someone special, aren’t you?
Zende: Yeah. Yeah, I am.
Eric: You already found her?
Rj: Yeah, I mean, I guess we were bound to get on each other’s nerves at some point.
Brooke: Happens every once in a while.
Rj: Yeah, I just can’t imagine it with luna though. I’m such a huge fan of everything she does. Except, you know what, there is one point of contention between us, and that’s the air. She likes it freezing cold for some reason.
Brooke: Oh, my gosh, that could be a problem.
Rj: I don’t know. Honestly, now that I think about it, I mean, we’re just kind of like the most annoyingly compatible pair ever.
Brooke: That’s good. You’re a perfect match. I mean, there’s always setbacks and every relationship has its challenges.
Rj: Yeah. You and dad have been through some really tough times.
Brooke: But it’s only made us stronger.
Rj: Yeah, and– and that’s good and all, but honestly, I would like to avoid all of the drama with luna if I could.
Luna: You know what happened to me last night?
Poppy: Tell me again what you were feeling.
Luna: Mom, please.
Poppy: Please, luna, just go over it again. Tell me what you were feeling.
Luna: Um, I was having fun at the party and then suddenly, I got like really tired, so I told rj that I was gonna head home, and he offered to drive me, but I insisted that I’m fine, and I’d just order a car like I usually do. Then, I was walking outside and I saw water bottles in one of the guest houses. For some reason, I was like unbelievably thirsty. So, I went in the room and grabbed some water. I don’t know, I must have laid down and fallen asleep. I– I seriously remember looking up and seeing rj. Like, he looked so sweet and gorgeous. I don’t understand how I saw him instead of zende. It’s almost like, I don’t know, like I was hallucinating or something. It makes no sense.
Poppy: But you said you had some champagne.
Luna: Yeah, like a little. Like, I don’t know, one or two glasses.
Poppy: And not much to eat.
Luna: Barely. But that’s not it. That doesn’t explain anything. I don’t understand. Why did this happen, mom? Why? A mystery!
Eric: Don’t be discouraged, you know. She’s out there. That girl’s out there for you right now.
Zende: I believe that.
Eric: I’ve been very lucky in my life to have… I’ve had some wonderful women to share my life with. The amazing stephanie, you know. And now– and now this beautiful young wife, donna. It feels kind of really fun for me to say that again. My wife.
Zende: Marriage really suits you, granddad. I haven’t seen you smile this much in a long time.
Eric: That’s right. I mean, look at this. I have this career. I have– I have everything I need in this life. And then, to have this wonderful, wonderful, beautiful, lovely wife. It’s just icing on the cake.
Zende: I bet.
Eric: You’ll find her, zende, you will. And when you do, I know you. You’ll treat her with– with love and kindness and respect. Because that’s who you are. You’ll make her very happy.
Rj: I know I make luna happy, mom. I just want to protect her from all the drama.
Brooke: Our family? Drama?
Rj: Yeah. It’s shocking. It’s like we attract it. Like it’s in our blood. It’s really fun.
Brooke: Well, you are half logan and half forrester.
Rj: Yes, correct. I come from two lines of constant public scandal. It’s great. I would just– I would just like to personally, I’d just like to tone it down a little bit. That’s all.
Brooke: Okay, okay. I can understand you wanting to avoid the turmoil that your father and I have lived through, but I don’t think you and luna are gonna make the same mistakes.
Rj: I just– I’ve never had a connection with a woman like this before. Ever. I mean, I– I just trust her. Completely.
Brooke: I am so happy for you, sweetheart. I really am.
Luna: It was rj’s face, mom. I swear, I saw his face. He was there. And I thought that he was the one that was in bed with me and that’s why I did what I did. I mean, only with rj. He’s the guy that I love.
Poppy: I know, baby.
Luna: I mean, how could i do this? I– there’s no explanation. It– it doesn’t make any sense. No one at the forrester estate would drug me. That’s– that’s impossible. They would never do anything to hurt me, so… so what could it be?
Poppy: Do you remember earlier when you said you had some mints?
Luna: Yeah, I always do.
Poppy: Oh, my god! No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Luna: What– what are you freaking out about?
Poppy: I messed up so bad, sweetie, and I’m so sorry.
Luna: For what?
Poppy: These are my mints. And I couldn’t find them.
Luna: Mom, I don’t care about your stupid mints. What does this have to do with me?
Poppy: Everything. You know how I get anxious sometimes? And some people, they have a glass of wine, to unwind, or a cocktail, but I don’t drink. So, I found something that works for me. And– and I thought they were harmless. Until now, until this very moment. Somehow, you accidentally got my mints. They’re not regular mints, sweetheart.
Luna: What?
Poppy: It’s my fault. It’s all my fault. I am so sorry. I am so incredibly sorry.
Luna: Mom, what are you saying right now? What are you telling me? That me waking up in zende’s bed this morning was because of you and your mints? Oh, my god! Oh, my god! I got drugged by my own mother?
