Thomas: You know everything about me now. The good, the bad, everything. You have all of me. There’s never gonna be any secrets between us, never again, I promise. Ridge: That’s what I needed. A little pick me upper.
Brooke: Me too. Why do I get the feeling there’s another reason why you wanted to see me?
Ridge: Well, I thought maybe we should talk about the news.
Brooke: Oh, yeah. The news. Thomas proposing to hope. Right. I spoke to her earlier.
Ridge: So did I. So, how do you feel about it? Or do I even need to ask?
Luna: My mom asked me to let it go, so I don’t want to think about who my father is anymore.
Rj: I hear you. Let’s– let’s drop it.
Luna: I mean, it’s not like the thought of who my father is hasn’t crossed my mind a million times before, but… I guess I just have to be okay with maybe never finding out.
Rj: Hey, I shouldn’t have pushed it. Now, though, we know it’s not bill spencer.
Luna: Yeah, we can definitely rule him out.
Rj: Hey, I uh, I know today’s been really stressful, but I would like to turn that around, if you’re okay with it. I planned a special night, just to get your mind off of it. And the beach house is finally mine. And, uh… I want to share it with you. Tonight.
Luna: We get to spend the night together? On the beach?
Rj: Mm-hmm. In the new house. Just the two of us.
Luna: That sounds amazing. Some privacy is exactly what we need.
[ Door opens ]
Charlie: Hello. [ Chuckles ] Rj. Hey, didn’t mean to crash the party, sorry. I just heard about the new malibu digs, huh? The old spencer beach house. My god, what a score! That place is unbeliev– you two are gonna be hanging ten real soon. Cowabunga, huh? Oh, hey, oh, here. Oh, here, okay. Okay, good luck.
Rj: Thanks.
Brooke: We agree on just about everything else.
Ridge: But not on this. Not when our kids want to move forward with something. Listen, here’s my point. They’ve been able to move past everything that they went through.
Brooke: Well, I don’t think she’ll ever be able to move past this. I mean, thomas, I worry about him. He really does love her. And his feelings are very fragile. What if he’s setting himself up for major pain and heartache?
Hope: You know, I’ve thought about this a lot. Your proposal. What it means. If I could even accept it. And, uh, my mom has certainly given her opinion. And now, so has ridge. But really, the only opinions that should matter are, um… thomas, I want to make something very clear. What you told me about that night… it was very hard for me to hear. And I… I wasn’t sure how to feel about the man back then. But you, it’s not just empty words. You’re a man of action and follow through. And you showed me over the years just how much you were willing to change and willing to do the work on yourself. And you really stepped up. Not just– not just for me or the job, but for the kids. I mean, that’s a testament to you, thomas. That’s strength. So, what I’m trying to say is you are not only a talented designer, an amazing father, a loyal man, but I do feel safe with you. I feel like I can give my heart to you. And I do believe in you, thomas. I was looking for some of the best
Ridge: Because thomas put himself out there, he put his heart on the line. Doesn’t mean it’s gonna work. I mean, there’s hundreds of stories about unrequited love. I’m just glad that wasn’t our story.
Brooke: Our story has a happy ending.
Ridge: Our story, young lady, hasn’t even started.
Zende: Hey, have you guys seen rj?
Charlie: Oh, he and– he and luna just elvis’d out of here.
Zende: Hm?
Charlie: They uh, left the building?
Zende: Well, that’s a bummer. I wanted to show him these designs that thomas and I collaborated on. Make sure they don’t step on his work on granddad’s line. I’ll just swing by your place. I’ll talk to him there.
Charlie: Not so fast, my friend. If you want to see rj, you’re gonna have to take the ten west to the one north. Five scenic miles and then turn left.
Zende: Wait, hold on, charlie why are you mapping me out to malibu?
Charlie: Well, that’s where rj’s new swanky beach pad is.
Zende: His new what?
Charlie: His casa del sando. His hacienda del beach-O.
Zende: Seriously? Rj has a new beach house?
Ridge: He’s renting it from bill, of all people.
Brooke: He didn’t buy it.
Zende: Not yet, anyway. Wow, at a ripe young age, rj is renting his own malibu home on the beach for a small fortune. Great. Rj really is the anointed one.
Charlie: What?
Luna: I still can’t believe this is officially your place.
Rj: Neither can I. Yet.
Luna: You checked all the rooms?
Rj: I did, and the beach. And your mom and bill aren’t out there stalking us, so…
Luna: And what about the garage?
Rj: That too, it’s all clear.
Luna: Okay, cool. So, we might actually have some solitude for once. And no one’s gonna like suddenly barge in on us. I think, um, I think we’re finally alone.
Rj: I think we are.
Luna: Do you happen to have like a mint or a gum or something?
Rj: You don’t need a mint.
Luna: I just want to be sure.
Rj: Do I need a mint?
Luna: No.
Rj: No?
Luna: No.
Rj: I think I have one right here for you, my dear.
Luna: Thank you.
Rj: You’re welcome. Good?
Luna: Mm-hmm. Okay, I’m ready.
Hope: I know you’re not the same guy you once were.
Thomas: I’m not. I got rid of that guy a long time ago.
[ Hope chuckles ] I trust you. And I have faith in you. And that means having faith in all the promises you’re making.
Thomas: Thank you hope. Thank you for seeing me. Seeing the man I am today, the man who loves you, cherishes you, and will for the rest of his life. It took me a long time. I changed from a person that I was into the man I am today and that took a lot of work.
Hope: Mm-hmm.
Thomas: Yeah, I mean, it takes everyone work, and we all have to keep working. And I will keep working, ’cause I want to continue to prove to you and to everyone else that I am a man that is worthy of your love. And that ring, it’s more than just a ring. It’s a symbol, eternal love that I have for you. I’m going to keep loving you for the rest of my life. And I am so excited for that ring to be on your finger. And for you to be my wife. Alice loves the scent of gain so much,
she wished there was a way to
make it last longer. a little resentful.
Brooke: What was that all about?
Ridge: Zende seems a little resentful.
Brooke: Well, I guess that’s understandable. I mean, eric did choose to confide in rj and work with him instead of zende.
Ridge: And then I asked rj to finish the line when dad was in the hospital. I asked zende too, but it’s–
Brooke: After the fact.
Ridge: Yeah, he didn’t like that.
Brooke: Our son is an accomplished young man. First, a social media sensation. And now, a designer at forrester creations.
Ridge: I think that’s zende’s point. You know, our son’s been given a lot of opportunities since he’s been back to los angeles.
Brooke: That’s true. He didn’t even want to be a part of this company in the first place.
Ridge: No. I don’t like that zende feels that way. He’s a very talented designer. And maybe dad didn’t pick him because he thought he had too much work to do with hope for the future.
Brooke: He does seem quite bothered about rj’s rapid rise to the top. And now, the beach house.
Ridge: I think zende just wants to be recognized. That’s all.
Luna: You’ve created such a beautiful, romantic time for us.
Rj: I wanted it to be perfect
Luna: And it is. I’ve, um, I’ve never felt more ready to take the next step. You know, I’ve been holding out for the right person. Someone caring and sensitive, and sexy.
Rj: You ready?
Luna: I am. For the first time in my life, I– I want to.
[ Knock on door ]
Luna: No way.
Rj: This isn’t real. You’re kidding me.
Luna: It’s fine. Just don’t answer it, and maybe they’ll go away.
Rj: Okay.
[ Knock on door ]
Luna: It’s fine. Just leave it. Maybe they’ll just leave.
Zende: Rj, it’s me, zende.
Rj: How does he know I’m even here?
Zende: Your car’s out front. Rj.
Rj: Maybe he just– maybe he won’t be here too long. Okay?
Luna: Okay.
Rj: Yeah.
Zende: Hey, man.
Rj: Hey.
Zende: I heard about your new place, sweet. Oh, hey, luna. I hope I’m not interrupting you guys.
Hope: I know where I stand with you. You have always been open and generous about how you feel. And I am so, so grateful for that. More than you know.
Thomas: I don’t want you to ever question how I feel about you.
Hope: I don’T. I know you love me. And I know you to be steadfast and true. And I can’t tell you how nice it is to be with a man where that is the reality. It’s just that, um…
Thomas: You are still having doubts? Yeah. But not about you. Not about us. Not about what we share. It’s just… it’s just the timing.
Thomas: Yeah. You’re not ready.
Hope: No. Not yet. So, in the meantime, I will continue to wear this beautiful ring right by my heart. And one day, maybe I will be ready for a commitment. But in the meantime, please know that I know you to be a good man. And a good father. With a good heart. And you make me feel like I… (vo) it’s ultimate endless shrimp with another limited-time
Rj: So, what’s up?
Zende: I have designs for you.
Rj: Oh, oh. So this, uh… this couldn’t wait until tomorrow?
Zende: I wanted to get them in your hands right away.
Rj: Oh, well, I’m a little busy right now, so I’ll take a look at them later.
Zende: All right.
Rj: You know, just out of curiosity, how did you know that I’m– I’m living here? I haven’t told a lot of people.
Zende: Charlie.
Luna: Charlie.
Rj: Charlie.
Zende: Yeah, when I couldn’t find you in the office, I was going to go over to brooke and ridge’s, but charlie let me know about the new house, and I figured I’d come check it out.
Luna: Yeah, yeah. It’s a really nice house.
Zende: Yeah, I’ll say. Man, your own spot in malibu’s billionaire beach. Nice work. And I love the décor.
Rj: Thank you, zende.
Zende: You know, you’re really living large, aren’t you?
Rj: Well, yeah, is it really that unusual, though? I mean, you could live like this if you wanted to.
Zende: I don’t know. Might be out of my budget. But not for you. Not for the golden child of brooke logan and ridge forrester.
Ridge: Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition.
Brooke: Well, let’s hope it’s only temporary.
Ridge: Okay, but they’ve got to figure that out. I’m not going to meddle. Not with them, or hope and thomas.
Brooke: That’s a different situation.
Ridge: No, it’s not. They’re adults. They can figure it out. They can make their own decisions.
Brooke: Thomas hasn’t always had the best judgment.
Ridge: Okay, that’s old news. We don’t need to talk about that.
Brooke: What if this decision to propose sets him back again?
Ridge: No, what if this decision makes all the difference? The power of love. It’s what we have. Come on, yeah. I love you.
Thomas: What about um…
Hope: The kids are gonna be gone for hours. I just want… I just want you.
