Deacon: Wow. I mean, talk about not holding back.
Taylor: Yeah. Yeah. The– it feels good to vent.
Deacon: Yeah. No wonder I get paid the big bucks.
Deacon: Hey listen, if anyone has a reason to unleash on sheila, it’s you. Especially after what she did steffy and her family. And especially finn. Just, you know, let it out. Get all those feelings out, taylor, I’m telling you. You’ll feel better. I promise.
Ridge: No, that’s perfect. Keep me updated.
Brooke: Taylor went into work?
Ridge: Yeah. There was uh, a security guard outside of her office.
Brooke: Even so, you can’t help but worry, right?
Ridge: No, because she’s gone through a lot of stuff… and me being here with you. I mean, I love it, but, it’s, uh, just another thing for her to adjust to.
Brooke: Okay. But she will adjust, just like I’m adjusting to having you back home.
Ridge: Yeah you’re adjusting right now, is that what you’re doing?
Hope: Oh.
Ridge: Why, why, why?
Hope: You have no idea how happy it makes me to see the two of you together like this again.
Liam: Damn, dad. You picked a hell of a restaurant.
Bill: We can go somewhere else, if it bothers you, liam.
Liam: Go somewhere else. Yeah, of course it bothers me. I mean, look– look, we’re feet away from where steffi and finn– I mean, sheila shot them right there. That’s– it’s like
Wyatt: It doesn’t even seem real. I mean, how could somebody do something like that here?
Bill: Well, this is sheila crackpot carter we’re talking about. I knew the moment she slithered back to L.A., That it was going to be trouble. I just never imagined it could be what actually happened.
Wyatt: You know what I don’t get? After everything that sheila has done, how is she still out there roaming free? Where’s the justice? Like, when– when is sheila going to get hers?
Liam: Sheila gets hers when she’s back behind bars for the rest of her stupid life.
Wyatt: And what about the cops? They don’t know where she is?
Liam: Not that I know of.
Bill: What do you know?
Liam: I know that ridge isn’t leaving anything to chance. And the guy has hired a legion of security guards to protect him and his family.
Bill: All right. Well, I got to give the dressmaker props for that. Never been a cheerleader for the guy. But I do respect his love for his family.
Hope: If I am interrupting something, which I can see that I am.
Brooke: No, honey. You are not interrupting anything. You’re always welcome here.
Ridge: Of course you are. But, uh, you know, a little bit of notice would be nice.
Hope: Oh.
Brooke: So, where are the kids?
Hope: Oh, they’re at playdates. And don’t worry, the security cars are out front watching. I’m just– trying to keep their lives as normal as possible while sheila’s still on the loose.
Ridge: Well, since you’re here, um, I don’t want to put you on the spot, but have you spoken to your dad? Does he, maybe, know where sheila is?
Deacon: Oh, come on. Don’t stop now. Vent about sheila to your heart’s content. I’m actually enjoying this.
Taylor: Yeah, I think you are. Hey, deacon. Anything that’s been said in here, just mum’s the word, okay?
Deacon: Hey, lady, what kind of practice do you think I run? Doctor patient confidentiality here. Now, come on. Seriously, I– I know I don’t have any fancy degrees in head shrinking, but I do know human nature.
Taylor: I can see that. You know, I– I know that you said that you didn’t know where sheila was, and I believe you. But if you could think of somewhere that she might be, like what do you think, deacon? Because we– we have to get her. We have to find her before she hurts more people.
[Knock at the door]
Mike: Sheila, I’m back. Okay, I did everything that you asked. Oh, my freakin’– you’ve killed your son, again? Hey, it’s me…your skin.
Wyatt: So, I’m guessing you’re missing kelly like crazy?
Liam: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Separation has been tough.
Bill: But necessary.
Liam: Absolutely. Steffy and the kids, they need this time to heal. And they’re sure as hell not going to do that if they’re sticking around here, so.
Wyatt: Without the constant reminder of finn being gone, you mean?
Liam: Well, yeah, that. The sheila thing. I mean, it– it’s not like they’re going to forget finn. Steffy is going to see to that. But still.
Bill: She really loved the guy.
Liam: Still does. And she’s– she’s– it’s steffy. You know, she’s staying strong for the kids, but this loss has been– it’s been enormous for her, and it’s going to continue to be.
Hope: Are you really asking me if my dad knows where sheila is?
Ridge: Well, he spent a lot of time with her, so, yeah, I am.
Hope: Well, uh, my dad told me that he hasn’t spoken to sheila since she escaped from prison, and I believe him, but, clearly you don’T.
Ridge: I don’T. I don’t believe anything he says. I never will.
Deacon: Taylor, if I had the slightest clue where sheila was, I would tell you. She hasn’t been in touch. I’m telling the truth, taylor. I swear.
Taylor: I believe you. I do. I believe you, deacon.
Deacon: Wow, huh, it’s kind of a kick in the head. Not really used to people taking me at my word. Okay, um, how is steffy dealing with all this? I mean, I know she’s fierce like her mom, but… I mean, this has got to be a lot to deal with. You know, trying to put your life back together after something like that. Have you and ridge thought about going to visit her?
Taylor: Well, sure. I mean, we– we talked about it a few times, you know, before he moved back in–
Deacon: I’m guessing that a trip to europe right now with ridge could be a little awkward.
Taylor: Yeah.
Deacon: Shifting gears, I’m going to put my shrink hat back on and give you a little more unsolicited advice.
Taylor: Oh god, your shrink hat.
Deacon: All right. Listen, you, uh, you urged me to talk about my feelings about brooke.
Taylor: Mm hmm.
Deacon: I would challenge you to talk about your feelings about ridge and brooke’s destiny.
Sheila: You really think I would kill my own son?
Mike: Hello? You have, almost twice now. Shooting him, then shocking him.
Sheila: He was upset, mike. I put a sedative in his I.V. To calm him down. Give me that. Did you get everything I asked for? All of the medicines?
Mike: Yeah. But I got to tell you, I– I’m really not comfortable with this whole situation.
Sheila: Oh, really? You’re uncomfortable? I’m here worried about my son. Plus, I’m probably going to go back to prison.
Mike: Well, true. But at– look at the bright side. At least you haven’t murdered anyone. Oh. Unless we include finn’s real mom.
Sheila: No I– I am finn’s real mother. And I didn’t murder li. That was an accident.
Mike: Whatever you say. But if the cops connect you to another “accident–”
Sheila: And how are they going to do that? They haven’t even found li’s body. I have scoured the internet. I have found nothing on a body or the truck.
[ Crashing ]
Sheila: I didn’t mean for li to die. So why do these things always keep happening to me? Give me your phone.
Mike: What are you doing?
Sheila: I’m calling li. – Look, this isn’t my first rodeo,
Wyatt: You expecting someone?
Bill: No. I’m just looking around to see if that ex-con is here with his mop and pail. I mean, you got to love it, right? Deacon sharpe working in a bar.
Wyatt: Well, at least he’s got a job and he’s not working one of his scams like he’s been known to do.
Bill: I wouldn’t be so sure about that. Once a con man, always a con man. Remember when he told everybody he was steering clear of sheila? Well, that wasn’t true. So, who knows? Maybe he’s still connected to her.
Liam: Hmm. Not according to hope. The last time she talked to deacon, she said he seemed pretty damn disenchanted with sheila. He hadn’t heard from her, and he doesn’t expect to.
Brooke: Okay, uh, look, maybe we should just talk about something else.
Hope: No. No, it’s okay, mom. I know that ridge is just trying to look out for the people he loves.
Ridge: That’s exactly right. I mean, we can all agree that your dad’s a bit of an operator. But he told us he had nothing to do with sheila, and he was with her the whole time.
Hope: I– I don’t think it’s how you’re making it out to be. My dad has had no contact with sheila.
Ridge: And I think that’s great. And he also should have no contact with any of the people that I care about. Is it too much to ask? No.
Deacon: All right. Go time. Time to tell dr. Deacon everything about this brooke and ridge destiny thing.
Taylor: Dr. Deacon. You’re not going to stop, are you?
Deacon: Look, taylor, I will if you really want me to. I just I– seriously, for a second. I– I really feel like you’ve got something that’s bottled up inside of you. Something that you haven’t said and that you’ve kept for a long time. And it’s been gnawing at you. And if that’s the case, now’s the time to get it out. I mean, come on. You can’t beat my price. All right, look, I get it, you know? I mean. Why would you want to open up to a guy like me? Guy who has got my history. I– I don’t blame you.
Taylor: No, deacon, it’s not that. It’s– it’s– you know, just when I think about– brooke and ridge, and their destiny. It’s hard for me to even say it without laughing, almost, because, I don’t know. Maybe they’re meant to be together forever. Maybe– maybe, they’re going to be destiny for eternity. But maybe, just maybe this bridge they’re building is– is burning to the ground day by day. Because the woman who claims she wants to save it, won’t stop playing with the matches.
Deacon: Boom! Look at that. Wow. Tell me how you really feel, doctor.
Mike: You’re calling a dead woman’s phone? You’re losing it, sheila. Dearly departed don’t usually answer their phones.
Sheila: It went to voicemail.
Mike: What’d you expect, the real thing?
Sheila: Shut up!
Mike: I’m just saying.
Sheila: I just don’t want to hear it. Do you know the pressure that I’m under? And– and when finn wakes up–
[ Finn moans ]
Mike: He’s coming, to.
Sheila: Ah. I see that.
Mike: So, what’s the plan, sheila? I sprung you from prison. What are you going to do with finn?
Bill: Thank you.
Liam: Man, I just want this to be over. I want sheila to be caught. I want her to be locked up. So that when steffy and the kids do come home, they– sheila’s not a threat to them. You know, steffy needs to start rebuilding her life. As difficult as that will be without finn.
Deacon: So vat I’m
he-yar-ring, in my professional opinion, is that you and zis brooke logan will neverrr be bffs.
Taylor: Never, never. But gosh, deacon, it– it really has been nice to commiserate with someone about brooke and ridge and all that.
Deacon: Feels good to be able to open up and just talk to somebody, yeah.
Taylor: Yeah.
Deacon: You know, uh, sheila and I were, I guess, on some level, friends, and, what with her being a murdering psychopath and all, I don’t have any other friends right now except you. And, um, you know, I don’t know– I don’t have the fancy degree, but I’ve got a pretty sturdy shoulder. If you ever need to lean on it, I’ll show up for you.
Taylor: Thank you, deacon. I appreciate that. Honestly, right now, all I can focus on is my daughter and my grandkids. And what sheila did to take finn away from them.
Ridge: I’m sorry. It’s been a long couple of months, and, uh, I’m frustrated. I don’t need to let that out on you. I apologize.
Hope: Thank you, for that.
Brooke: Yeah, well, we’re all a little bit on edge, and we just need to relax. I know it’s still an eerie feeling knowing that sheila’s out there somewhere, waiting, biding her time.
Hope: But what could she be plotting for?
Brooke: I don’t know. I mean, that’s the scary thing. We don’t know what’s going on in her twisted mind, what she’s going to come up with next.
Hope: Well, she would have a death wish. Trying to come after you or taylor. And ridge had made sure of that with all the security he’s hired.
Brooke: Well, that’s true. And I really appreciate what you’ve done, ridge. You have really given me peace of mind, and taylor too.
Ridge: I think sheila has caused enough pain, we all agree on that, right? Done with it. She’s not going to hurt anyone in my family ever again.
Sheila: What’s the plan, mike? What’s the plan?
Mike: Yeah. Look at him. He’s waking up. He’s going to be all over your case for shooting him full of sedatives.
Sheila: I didn’t shoot him full of sedatives. I gave finn something to keep him from getting more upset.
Mike: Sheila, he’s upset because you’re keeping him from his wife and child.
Sheila: I’m– I’m protecting him. My son’s happiness means everything to me. And that’s what he’s going to have once I reunite him with steffy and hayes. He’s gonna be so happy, mike. He is going to forget all about this.
Mike: That’s real noble. But you’re still headed right back to prison.
Sheila: Maybe that’s where I belong.
Mike: And what about me? I’m going to prison, too. I’m an accomplice in this now. Sheila, look, I get that you gave birth to him. But it’s not like you are a mother to him. Not like you raised him all those years. Be smart. Cut your losses. You got a lot of life to live. And we could be real good together. You and me.
Sheila: Oh, my god. Are you suggesting that I run away with you, and leave my son to die?
Mike: I’m suggesting that finn already has a death certificate. Maybe it’s best to just let it be.
[ Finn internally panting ]
Finn: I got to get out of here before it’s too late. I have to get to steffy.
