Ridge: My home is with you, doc.
Brooke: Ridge and taylor together right now.
Hope: Mom, you drove all the way to steffy’s to speak to your husband.
Brooke: Well, I tried to, but thomas wouldn’t let me near the house.
Liam: And you’re sure ridge was there?
Brooke: Yes, I’m sure. I saw his car in the driveway. And thomas was just standing there like a security guard. He said that ridge didn’t want to be bothered. Disturbed.
Liam: Why is–why is– why is thomas playing gatekeeper all of a sudden? You have every right to talk to your husband.
Brooke: I know. I had to get to him. I had to explain. And I didn’t mean to hurt him. I don’t know why I kissed your father.
Hope: Mom, you were impaired. Ridge should realize that.
Brooke: And I thought he did. But then, when I went to il giardino’s, he was beating up on deacon.
Liam: And you reacted the way any reasonable person would by trying to diffuse the situation.
Brooke: I just wanted to stop the fight.
Liam: So it’s that. It’s in ridge’s mind, that is you defending deacon.
Brooke: Yeah, but I wasn’T.
Hope: No, of course not. You want to work things out with ridge.
Brooke: Of course I want to work things out. But I feel like he’s slipping away from me.
Hope: It’s not right for thomas to block you from seeing ridge.
Liam: Was ridge even like aware that you were over there?
Brooke: I have no idea. I don’t think so.
Liam: And–and to be clear, thomas has ridge’s cellphone?
Brooke: Yeah. He hasn’t been getting my calls or my texts.
Hope: Oh, no wonder you haven’t heard a response.
Brooke: Exactly. And now, for sure, I won’t be able to reach him.
Liam: You know, I really kind of thought that thomas was done with the whole like manipulating situations and–
Hope: Well, he’s probably just doing steffy’s bidding. You know, they’re trying to matchmake their parents.
Liam: Yeah, exactly. So, what, are we? Fifth grade?
Brooke: So infuriating! Steffy is there putting things in ridge’s head right now.
Hope: She has been waiting for this opportunity for a while.
Brooke: Oh, I know that. Steffy and thomas. They’re trying to keep ridge and me apart so they can push their parents back together.
Ridge: You get the feeling that we’re–
Taylor: We’re not alone.
Steffy: No, no, you are not alone. There’s two of us.
Thomas: Yes, sorry for interrupting.
Ridge: These kids have terrible timing.
Steffy: I–wow. I’m in shock. I mean, when we were kids, if we walked in and saw our parents kissed, it would be like, so grossed out. But this? This? To see the two of you… so connected. It feels like a dream.
Ridge: It’s real. It’s very real.
Steffy: I can’t even with this right now. Oh my gosh. I don’t want to cry. But I’m like…
Thomas: It’s mom and dad, it’s pretty incredible.
Ridge: Your mom is incredible. This is it. This is my home. I don’t mean this house. This is your house. But it’s my home with you. With you.
Steffy: Wow. If you have type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure
Brooke: Deacon and i crossed a line.
Hope: Yes. A drunken kiss that you came clean about.
Brooke: Finally. And the guilt and shame was killing me, carrying it around since new year’S. I just felt good to get it off my chest.
Liam: Well, I mean, from how it sounds, ridge was willing to move on from it.
Brooke: Well, he wasn’t thrilled about the whole situation. But yes, we did have a very open and loving conversation.
Hope: I mean, ridge has to get that that entire night was fueled by alcohol, right? Like, you wouldn’t have kissed my dad sober. You wouldn’t have let him crash here.
Brooke: No, that’s true. And before ridge left to get some fresh air, he told me that he loved me. And I really believe that our marriage was intact and that we were going to get through this horrible experience. And now… now, I’m just scared. I’m scared… he’s not going to come home.
Hope: Mom, he will.
Brooke: No, I don’t know, hope. What if he doesn’t? I mean, what am I going to do? I have to do something. Liam. I mean, is there anything you can do to help?
Liam: What do you want me to do?
Brooke: I don’t know. Just go over there and say, you need to see kelly and get inside the house and pull ridge aside and talk to him.
Hope: Mom, I doubt that ridge is going to throw your entire marriage away over this.
Brooke: Well, he could, hope. He could. And I certainly don’t want that to happen. So please, liam, go over there and talk to ridge, please.
Hope: Do what you can.
Liam: Yeah. Okay. Okay, I’m going to try.
Brooke: Thank you.
Steffy: You’re coming home?
Ridge: If your mother will have me.
Steffy: Of course she will. She loves you. Mom always loved you. Isn’t that right?
Taylor: Your daughter is correct.
Ridge: She always is.
Steffy: I’m glad you’re willing to accept that.
Ridge: I’m finally coming home to you, my family, and I’m sorry. My eyes are open now on this. A lot of time to make up for.
Thomas: You don’t have to apologize for anything, but it is nice to hear you say that.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, we do have a lot of time to make up for. But we can do it together.
Taylor: And I’ve also been gone. I missed out on a lot. I stayed away mostly because it was so hard being here without you… and our family.
Steffy: But that’s all about to change.
Taylor: A very welcomed change.
Ridge: Yes, it is.
Thomas: Well, we always wanted you two to be happy.
Steffy: I was so grateful that you’re coming home to us. To mom. And mom, you are such a remarkable woman. You deserve this more than anyone.
Taylor: We all deserve this.
Steffy: All right, we’re going to leave you two…alone.
Thomas: Yeah, we’ll– just go for A…walk.
Steffy: Congratulations.
Taylor: Thank you.
Ridge: Okay.
Taylor: Yeah, well, I guess this is it. The moment we’ve been waiting for. Welcome home, ridge. Life’s been hard enough.
Taylor: The kids are so happy.
Ridge: Probably they know what’s best for us, better than we do.
Taylor: Is–is this really happening? Is it?
Ridge: Us putting our family back together? Yes, I hope so.
Taylor: Maybe we had to go through everything that we did in order to get here. You know, we are– we are living proof that it’s never too late to start over. Feels so good to be in your arms.
Taylor: Mm. You know, I feel like the kids… are like watching us.
Ridge: Yeah. It’s weird, right?
Taylor: Should we–
Ridge: Little–
Taylor: Privacy.
Ridge: Yeah. I think that’s just what the doctor ordered. Let’s do that.
Brooke: Taylor’s been waiting for years to pounce on ridge. Mark my words, she’s going to use this to her advantage.
Hope: Mom, ridge loves you. You’re his wife.
Brooke: Well, then why isn’t he here? Why is he still over there?
Hope: Probably just went to go blow off some steam.
Brooke: The longer he’s at steffy’s with taylor and their kids, the more chance they’re going to put pressure on him to leave me for good!
Hope: Well, hopefully liam is going to be able to deliver a message and then he can come back here with some new information.
Brooke: I hope so. I hope he can get through to ridge. I hope he can get inside that house because if he can’t, I’m going to lose him. I’m going to lose the love of my life.
Hope: So sorry this is happening. I can’t help but feel partially responsible.
Brooke: Don’t blame yourself. This is my fault. I’m the one who ruined my sobriety. I– I chose to drink. I chose to ruin my life, my future.
Hope: And when I look back at it all, I wish I hadn’t been as insistent about my father being welcomed here. I–you know, maybe I should have respected that this is ridge’s house too. And maybe I was being an insensitive, little brat.
Brooke: No, you were nothing of the sort.
Hope: I should have just moved on. I just, I didn’t think that it would jeopardize your marriage like this, so I… I am so sorry, mom.
Brooke: Honey, stop. I don’t want you to feel guilty. Look, let’s just pray that liam can talk to ridge. And that he can communicate to him on my behalf.
Hope: Oh, mom.
Thomas: Did dad leave or…
Steffy: No, no. His–his car still outside. Which means–
Thomas: He and mom are–
Steffy: Yeah, they’re probably upstairs. They need a little privacy.
Thomas: Ew.
Steffy: I–
[ Knocking on the door ]
Liam: Hey, guys.
Steffy: Liam?
Liam: Yeah. Hey, it’s liam. I just saw you walking in from outside. I hope that’s okay.
Thomas: Did you know he was coming over?
Steffy: No, I wasn’t expecting you either.
Liam: Everything’s fine. I promise. Everything’s fine. I just– sorry, I should’ve called first. I just I thought I’d stop by, maybe to see kelly because I was right down the street.
Steffy: Oh, kelly’s with her friend. We talked about this, remember?
Liam: Yeah, of course. I’m sorry, I totally forgot.
Thomas: Did you really forget, liam?
Steffy: Or did brooke send you over here to speak with our dad?
Taylor: Are we doing this? Nyquil severe gives you powerful relief
Liam: Yeah, all right. You got me. I’m here for brooke. She’s really scared.
Steffy: She should be.
Liam: Okay. But you’re like, not even like letting her in the house. I mean, what’s– what’s going on there?
Thomas: I don’t know if that’s necessarily the best description of what’s happening. But I’ve got to say that, you know, if we did let her in, it would be like the same thing it always is. She screws dad over and then she begs and she pleads and she cries. And I think that dad deserves a little time away from her.
Steffy: Yeah, I wish I could welcome brooke into our home. But thomas is right. Dad’s moving on with our mom.
Liam: Okay, but they’re married. So–
Steffy: They shouldn’t be. Not after the way she’s been treating him.
Thomas: Yeah, liam. Look, maybe we could show some grace if this was the first time that she had screwed up. But it’s not.
Steffy: No, it’s not. She’s done this on numerous occasions. We’ve lost count. We have given her plenty of chances. But liam, it’s– it’s over now.
Liam: Okay, so let’s say it’s over. Why, then, would you not let her even talk to him? I mean, she drove all this way and you turned her away? And I hear you have ridge’s phone? Like what is going on there? What’s that about?
Thomas: Liam, it’s not like we’re holding him hostage. He can leave and go to brooke’s whenever he wants to.
Steffy: Yeah, but I wouldn’t count on that happening.
Liam: All right. Speaking of, where is ridge, exactly? Because I saw his car outside, I know he hasn’t left yet. But–
Thomas: Good question. You would have seen somewhere, right?
Liam: What are you– what are you doing right now? Why are you being so cryptic? Okay, if you’re that confident that ridge is moving on from brooke, why are you so scared of them communicating?
Thomas: It’s almost like he is someone else he’d rather spend his time with.
Steffy: Look, we’re not pulling the strings here. Our parents can make their own decisions. Besides, none of this would be happening if brooke didn’t do what she did. She drank to give yourself permission to be with deacon. Another scandal. Another betrayal. This is the last time she’s going to disappoint my father.
Brooke: Honey, I don’t want you blaming yourself.
Hope: Mom. I got caught up in my own needs. I wanted a relationship with my dad and I didn’t think about how that would impact the two of you.
Brooke: And I can sympathize with that. Because I didn’t know my dad growing up. But later, I was able to reconnect with him, as an adult. And that’s what I wanted for you. But you’re right. We shouldn’t have dismissed ridge’s feelings or concerns. But I did. Oh, wow. Am I realizing that right now?
Hope: Mom. No. Look, ridge will come around. All right? He always does.
Brooke: I mean, I didn’t like it when you and ridge were fighting, but I also wanted you to have a relationship with your father.
Hope: I know. But… I was being pretty stubborn. I will own my part in that. I could have met my dad in town for a coffee. I just didn’t think it would affect ridge as much as it did, having him around.
Brooke: Yeah, I didn’t either. And he really stood by what he believed, you know? And he said that something terrible was going to happen, but I ignored him. Instead, I defended deacon instead of my own husband. I mean, why? Why did I do that? I feel like I could be losing ridge to taylor as we speak.
Taylor: I’ve never stopped loving you.
