Oscar(R)-nominated and multiple award-winning documentary “Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” will make its broadcast television premiere on ABC on SUNDAY, FEB. 20 (8:00-10:31 p.m. EST). In his acclaimed debut as a filmmaker, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson presents a powerful and transporting documentary – part music film, part historical record – created around an epic event that celebrated Black history, culture and fashion. Over the course of six weeks in summer 1969, just 100 miles south of Woodstock, The Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). The footage was largely forgotten – until now.
“Summer of Soul” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won both the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award. The film has swept the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards with wins in all six categories for which it was nominated, including Best Documentary Feature and Best Director. It has also won 46 awards across critics’ groups and guilds including DOC NYC, the AFI Special Award, LAFCA, AAFCA and NBR, and has earned an additional 43 nominations including the 94th Oscars(R), 75th BAFTA Awards, DGA, Cinema Eye Honors, the GRAMMYS, IDA, PGA, NAACP, ACE, MPSE Golden Reel, among many others.
Earlier this week, “Summer of Soul” secured Disney’s Onyx Collective’s first Academy Award(R) nomination, in partnership with Searchlight Pictures and Hulu.
“Summer of Soul” is streaming on Hulu and Disney+, in conjunction with Onyx Collective; Searchlight Pictures released it theatrically. Promo

- 20/20 Airing Friday, February 25, 2022 (9:01 PM-11:00 PM EST) on ABC – ‘20/20’ Features Exclusive Interview With Diane Staudte, Mother and Mastermind Behind Sinister Plot to Poison Her Family Members
When Mark and Shaun Staudte fell ill and died suddenly within months of each other, it seemed as though the Missouri family experienced a spurt of horrible luck. When Sarah Staudte developed similar symptoms soon after, landing her in the hospital, investigators and friends of the family grew suspicious: were these tragedies just bad luck or products of malicious intent? A new “20/20,” in collaboration with Plum Pictures, features ABC News senior national affairs correspondent Deborah Roberts’ exclusive prison interview with Diane Staudte, mother of four and mastermind behind a sinister plot to poison her husband and two children. For the first time, Diane talks about her relationship with her family and her feelings about the tragic events and alleges outside influences forced her to falsely confess to police despite having no evidence to support that claim. The program includes recordings of police interrogations with Diane and her daughter Rachel Staudte, who pleaded guilty to helping her mother in her disturbing scheme to pick the family off one by one. It also features an interview with Sarah from the ABC News archives about how she is healing after her mother and sister’s betrayal. “20/20” contains interviews with Jeff Sippy, the family’s pastor who tipped off police to the suspicious pattern; detective Neil McAmis, lead investigator on the case; Charles Alexander, Mark’s bandmate; Dr. Essam Elkady, who treated Sarah in the hospital; Michael Staudte, Mark’s brother; and other neighbors and friends of the family. “20/20” airs Friday, Feb. 25 (9:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC, next day on Hulu.
ABC News’ “20/20” is an award-winning primetime program anchored by David Muir and Amy Robach. A proven leader as a long-form newsmagazine for over 40 years, “20/20” features unforgettable, character-driven true-crime mysteries, exclusive newsmaker interviews, hard-hitting investigative reports and in-depth coverage of high profile stories. The two-hour “20/20” events air Fridays from 9:01–11:00 p.m. EST on ABC and are available to stream on ABC News digital platforms and Hulu. TARGETING AMERICANS – For the past six years, U.S. diplomats stationed in foreign countries have been reporting a series of neurological symptoms, now known as “Havana Syndrome.” Scott Pelley reveals new reports of incidents that have occurred on U.S. soil, in a two-part story airing Sunday. High-ranking Homeland Security officials in the Trump administration say they were overcome with feelings of vertigo, confusion and memory loss while on White House grounds and in their Washington, D.C.-area homes. The incidents and symptoms they describe are similar to the “Havana Syndrome” that has been reported by American diplomats in foreign countries since 2016. The officials spoke to Pelley for Sunday’s report. Other stories of officials being stricken were corroborated by former national security adviser John Bolton, who fears there is a threat to the highest levels of the U.S. government. New CIA director William Burns tells Pelley why it has been difficult finding answers. Click here to read more and watch a preview. Michael Rey and Oriana Zill de Granados are the producers.
- CBS BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY EDITION – Sunday, February 20 Show More
- 2/20/22 (Sun.) 8:00 PM – Episode 313 – from bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Celebrity Big Brother 3: HOH and Nominations
Celebrity Big Brother is back tonight starting at 8/7c on CBS for our third straight night of CBB3 with another episode featuring the Head of Household competition and Noms ceremony. We’re just one step away from another eviction on Monday night.
Just a one-hour episode this time around as we’re down to just five Houseguests as only a few days until the season finale on Wednesday night. The Celebrity Big Brother season is about to wrap up and one of these remaining HGs will walk away with the quarter-million-dollar prize.
Carson was sent out the door on Friday leaving Miesha and Todrick to continue their domination through the season relatively unchallenged. Will they keep that control in tonight’s HOH and who will be out next? Time to settle in and watch it all play out.
Reminder: Episode tonight at 8/7c. Next eviction will be Monday (9/8c). And the season finale is Wednesday at 8/7c.
- CBS BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY EDITION – Monday, February 21 Show More
- 2/21/22 (Mon.) 9:00 PM – Episode 314 – From bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Celebrity Big Brother 3: Double Eviction Event
Get ready because tonight on Celebrity Big Brother 3 the final five Houseguests will face off in not one, but TWO evictions as part of the live Double Eviction event heading our way at 9/8c on CBS. Yes, that’s a late start time for a two-hour show, but here we go.
We’ve got Todrick dramatically calling the shots after sending Todd and Lamar to the Block. He’ll need the Veto to go his way to protect his chance at targeting Todd. Nothing is guaranteed though and we’ll see that Veto Meeting live tonight. Can’t wait for the Veto results? Find out who won the latest POV.
After the Veto we’ll get the first live vote and there are just two votes on the board this round so a tie is certainly possible and we know Todrick is hoping to avoid any responsibilities in the game that he can, especially this close to a Jury decision. But come on, aside from Miesha and Cynthia, would any Juror even consider voting for Todrick?
With the first eviction out of the way the HGs will have to dash through another round of HOH, Veto, and a final vote of the night. At that point, we’ll be down to just three HGs left for Wednesday’s season finale. The end is nigh!
- CBS BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY EDITION – Wednesday, February 23 Show More
- 2/23/22 (We.) 8:00 PM – Episode 315 – Celebrity Big Brother 3 Finale Tonight: Jury Crowns The Winner
Tonight on CBS the Celebrity Big Brother 3 finale arrives and the Jury will crown the winner of CBB3 in a one-hour live event starting at 8/7c. One Houseguest is about to walk away with the $250,000 grand prize, another with $50,000 runner-up, and one of the ten (Kattan was eliminated) will nab a $25,000 bonus for AFP!
When the latest episode ended on Monday we had seen Lamar and Todd voted out just shy of the season finale. Both went out the door to soon proclaim there’s no chance they’d vote for Todrick. Many other HGs have chimed in with similar vibes and that positions this race to likely be won by Miesha. Could Cynthia rally an upset win here? Anything is possible, but probably not.
But first, there’s still one final competition (unlike a three-round final HOH in the summer seasons) and it’s still anyone’s game. Kinda, mostly. We’ll see live tonight which of the F3 will win this last HOH and cast another eviction vote. Would Todrick stick to his F2 with Miesha if it’s his decision? Who would Cynthia want to take to the end? And does Miesha have any worries either way?

- 2/26/22 (Saturday) (10:00 PM) on CBS. – A HIGH-RANKING NYPD DETECTIVE SHARES HER HARROWING STORY OF BEING SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES BY AN ABUSIVE EX-FIANCÉ – A MAN WITH A BADGE – AND HER INSPIRING TALE OF SURVIVAL, IN “48 HOURS: KATRINA BROWNLEE: THE GOOD COP” Preview
Katrina Cooke Brownlee retired last year as one of the New York City Police Department’s top-ranked detectives. That she is alive is a miracle. In her first primetime television interview, Brownlee shares her emotional story of being shot by an abusive ex-fiancé, then pleading for help from the police, who she says ignored her, and how she used that experience to become a top police officer, in 48 HOURS: “Katrina Brownlee: The Good Cop” to be broadcast Saturday, Feb. 26 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) and streaming on Paramount+.
Anchored by Michelle Miller, co-host of CBS SATURDAY MORNING, “Katrina Brownlee: The Good Cop” takes viewers inside Brownlee’s inspirational journey from survivor of a horrific attack to top-ranked detective in the NYPD. Brownlee opens up about the abuse she says she suffered, how she met the so-called blue wall of silence, how she fought to live, and how she vowed to be a good cop.
“My story starts from a very dark place, and it becomes a story of grace, a story of love and a story of hope,” says Brownlee.
When she was 22, Brownlee lived with her then-fiancé, Alex Irvin, who was a New York City correction officer. She says that every time she called the police after he abused her, they would leave without taking action.
“Every time he flashed that badge, they would walk away,” she said.
Then, on a January morning in 1993, Brownlee met Irvin at his home. Irvin, she says, had a weird look on his face. “He pointed a gun to me and said, ‘This is the day you die, bitch,’ and he shot me in my stomach. And then he shot me again.”
He shot her five times, reloaded his gun, and shot five more times. A family friend of Irvin’s who happened to stop by saw Brownlee bleeding and insisted on taking her to the hospital.
Investigators initially thought Brownlee would die. She survived. It would take months, but she says she learned how to walk again. During that time Brownlee also vowed to change the system that let her down and become a police officer.
“I wanted to become a good cop,” she tells Miller.
“There’s a difference?” Miller asks.
“Yeah,” Brownlee says. “A good cop has empathy, a good cop cares about people that they have to protect and have to serve.”
Brownlee became a top-ranked detective and one of the few Black women in the NYPD chosen to protect a New York City mayor. Indeed, she even kept her history of being abused from then-Mayor Bill de Blasio until their last meeting together.
“How does the Katrina sitting here today differ from that 22-year-old Katrina?” Miller asks.
“Oh, wow,” Brownlee says. “The 22-year-old Katrina was lost, broken … forgotten. … And now today, I feel like I am a beautiful Black queen that fought the fight.”
This hour is part of CBS News and Stations’ ongoing reporting for Black History Month.
48 HOURS: “Katrina Brownlee: The Good Cop” is produced by Liza Finley and Lauren A. White. Diana Modica, Doreen Schechter, Marcus Balsam, Joan Adelman and Michelle Harris are the editors. - From wrestlinginc.com: WWE Superstar Teases Surprise For Tonight’s RAW
The Miz continues to tease a surprise for tonight’s WWE RAW.
As noted, Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber event from Saudi Arabia saw Rey Mysterio defeat The Miz on the Kickoff pre-show. Rey and son Dominik Mysterio then teamed up to take out Miz in the post-match angle. Miz later teased in a post-match interview that he was going to call on a “superb athlete” and “global star” to help him against The Mysterios. It was then reported that social media star Logan Paul was likely headed back to WWE to team with The Miz, presumably for a WrestleMania 38 match against The Mysterios.
In an update, Miz took to Twitter today and posted another teaser for tonight’s RAW.
“Your reaction after you see who I’m bringing to #WWERaw tonight…,” he wrote with a photo from the Elimination Chamber match.
Paul has not commented on the WWE return rumors, but we will keep you updated. He made a few WWE SmackDown appearances in the last year, and accompanied Sami Zayn to the ring for his WrestleMania 37 loss to Kevin Owens, but also took a Stunner from Owens at the show. He later worked the September 3 SmackDown for an angle with Owens and Happy Baron Corbin. Paul also appeared on the August 23 RAW last year, for an angle that led to The Miz attacking his former tag team partner, former WWE Superstar John Morrison.
