Quinn: Eric, what are you saying?
Eric: I love you. I’ve had a lot of time to think about, about what happened here. I was hurt, I was hurt so badly and, and, but then I was able to think back to what we said on our wedding day here. I promised to protect and defend you, and I’ve fallen terribly short in that regard.
Quinn: Eric.
Eric: Quinn, I, I don’t want our marriage to end. I still want you to be my wife.
[ Sighing ]
Ridge: Anybody know when those samples are coming from italy?
Steffy: Um, I don’t, hold on. About seven to ten days? Looks like schedules are going back to normal.
Ridge: Hey.
Steffy: Yeah.
Ridge: We don’t have to pretend that everything is fine, but it’s not fine. Sheila showing up on your wedding day, using her son, her own flesh and blood to terrorize us once again? It’s not okay. You don’t deserve that. You deserve to be happy.
Steffy: I am, dad. I love finn, that’s all that matters. And sheila’s never gonna be part of finn’s life. Or this family.
Paris: Uh, is everything okay at the hospital?
Finn: Oh yeah, my patient is doing well.
Paris: That’s great. So, did it work? Surfing to clear your mind?
Finn: Yeah.
Paris: I think it’s gonna take a lot more than riding some waves to come to grips with everything you’ve learnt about your mother.
Finn: Uh, birth mother.
Paris: Right, right. Sorry, sorry.
Finn: No worries. Yeah, I’m just trying to process all this. I spent my entire life wondering who my birth mother was. I finally meet her and she’s–
Paris: You meet her and she’s done terrible things and your new family hates her. It’s a lot to unpack.
Finn: Sure is.
Paris: For real, finn, if you need someone to talk to, I’m here, and I’m a good listener, and you and steffy have been nothing but good to me, and I would like to return the favor.
Finn: I appreciate your concern, but I’m not gonna dump all my problems on you.
Paris: Oh, are you kidding? You and steffy have been so good to me, and friendship is a two way street, and I kinda know what you’re going through. My dad and sheila aren’t that different. You know what he did to hope, to steffy, the entire family, not to mention, putting zoe in danger.
Finn: Now, that’s a lot to unpack.
Paris: Sure is. What’s crazy though is the guilt.
Finn: You feel guilty?
Paris: All the time. My father has done terrible things, he’s in jail right now, but he’s still my dad, and I miss him, and I want him to be a part of my life, even though everybody here hates him.
Finn: Yeah, I know I should want nothing to do with her, after the, what she’s done with the forresters, I should just want to, but she’s my biological mother. I just met her, paris, that’s something that I’ve wanted my entire life and it finally happened.
Eric: I know I took a really strong stand with you. I wanted you out of this house, out of the company, wanted you out of my life. But I realized that I, that I miss you. And, I realized that I wanted to forgive you. I want our marriage and our love back.
Steffy: Finn and I were going to take a little honeymoon, we weren’t going to be away from the kids that long, but now we can’t go anywhere because sheila’s out there.
Ridge: I just heard from carter, he’s still working on that restraining order.
Steffy: Good.
Ridge: Listen, you better get some security for your house.
Steffy: I’m thinking about getting a security guard.
Ridge: Good.
Steffy: As soon as possible.
Ridge: Okay. Hey, look at me. I know you can handle anything that’s thrown your way, I get that. But, I’m your dad and I’m going to make sure that you’re safe, and that the grandchildren are safe. I’m not gonna lie to you, we’re dealing with sheila. She’s crazy, and it’s only a matter of time before she’s gonna try to reach out to finn again.
Finn: I hope my mom’s doing alright through this. You know, me admitting that I wondered if my birth mother had ever thought about me, if she’d regretted giving me up.
Paris: You thought a lot about her, growing up?
Finn: Yeah. You know, that’s what concerns me about my mom. I love my parents, but–
Paris: You still wondered.
Finn: Yeah. You’re gonna laugh, but… I imagined lucille ball as my birth mother.
Paris: Wait, I love lucy?
Finn: Yeah. My dad was a big fan, and he always had the reruns on, so whenever I would think about my birth mother, lucy is who I imagined. It’s weird, I know.
Paris: No, it’s sweet, it’s sweet.
Finn: And then, all this time goes by, and then she finally comes out of nowhere on my wedding day.
Paris: Yeah, with some serious ‘splaining to do.
Finn: Yeah, exactly.
Paris: That, ah, that must have been crazy. I mean, what was it like, finally meeting her?
Finn: It was emotional and it was kinda hard to put into words. I was confused and a little bit angry, but looking into her eyes, it was cathartic. My whole life, I’ve had this missing piece, and I found it. Well, I guess, it found me.
Eric: I’m sorry to catch you off guard like this, but it took some time for me to reach any kind of understanding, and ultimately, forgiveness.
Quinn: Why now? What’s happened?
Eric: I have to admit, I think it’s sheila coming out of the woodwork. No, I think so. I mean, she, it put things in perspective for me. Any mistakes that you’ve made just pale in comparison to what she did to me, and to this family, and what happened with you and ridge and brooke, it just, it drove a wedge between us, and I have to take my responsibility for how that happened, you know? I’m sorry. And so now, I… it made me think twice about this. About you and me, and about our marriage, and our… our history together. It made me realize that I don’t, I don’t really want this. I want you, I want, I want you to still be my wife. And, I don’t want this divorce. Aw, c’mon flowers.
Ridge: Everything okay?
Steffy: I’m just thinking about finn, what he must be going through.
Ridge: He’ll be fine.
Steffy: I know.
Ridge: I have been where he is now, you know, having a parent you didn’t expect, showing up out of nowhere.
Steffy: Massimo. You don’t talk about him much. How did you even handle that?
Ridge: Look to your family, make sure they’re there for you, the same way that finn’s gonna look to you guys.
Steffy: We just need to deal with sheila.
Ridge: Does he really understand how dangerous she is?
Steffy: He does. Trust me, dad, he wants nothing to do with her.
Finn: It’s crazy, you know? I mean, when I imagined my birth mother, never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined her being dangerous. The terrible things that she’s done to the forresters, I don’t know what to think or even how I’m supposed to feel.
Paris: Maybe, that’s okay. Do you ever think you’ll see her again?
Finn: No.
Paris: Are you okay with that?
Finn: I have to be. She sent me a message. I don’t even know how she got my number.
Paris: What did it say?
Finn: Goodbye.
Paris: How did steffy react?
Finn: Steffy doesn’t know. I didn’t tell her. I didn’t want to upset her.
Paris: Finn…
Finn: Please, just don’t say anything to steffy.
Eric: I’m hoping that my tearing up the divorce papers sends a clear enough message to you.
[ Scoffing ]
Quinn: I’m at a loss for words.
Eric: This is the most challenging time you and i have ever faced, but it’s clear to me that you still love me. You do. I love you. I want to be your husband again, I want to rebuild this marriage. I want you to stay. Stay, go get some stuff for overnight. We’ll get the rest of your stuff later, okay? I want you to move back home.
Kids can change minds.
Ridge: You’re sure you can trust finn?
Steffy: Absolutely, dad.
Ridge: And he, he gets it, that she’s a sociopath?
Steffy: Yeah, he get it. He’s never let me or the kids down. Finn’s always gonna put us first.
Paris: Did you respond to sheila’s text?
Finn: No. I mean, I, I sent her an emoji back. Please don’t tell steffy? I didn’t know what else to do. It didn’t feel right not to respond.
Paris: I get it, finn. You know I do, but the forresters are terrified of this woman.
Finn: I know, and if sheila reaches out again, I’m gonna tell steffy, but I don’t see that happening.
[ Knocking on door ]
Paris: What if it’s sheila?
[ Persistent knocking ]
Carter: Hi.
Quinn: Hi. Wow, the place looks beautiful.
Carter: Well, I did promise you something special. Hey, don’t do that, okay? You don’t have to hide from me. How are you doing? For real.
Quinn: Not sure.
Carter: Yeah. Can’t imagine how difficult that was for you. I got so excited trying to make everything special, I didn’t think about how painful it must be to finalize your divorce. Look, I wanted to show you how much you mean to me. And, I don’t know what our future looks like, but I know I want you in it. And like I said, I don’t want us to sneak around anymore. I’m proud to be with a woman like you and I don’t want to hide it.
Quinn: Carter–
Carter: No no, I don’t need you to protect me. If I lose my job at forrester and my friendship with ridge and the family, it’ll hurt, but so be it. You’re worth it.
Quinn: You don’t understand.
Carter: I do understand, and I am telling you that you are worth it, quinn. I’ve never met a woman like you. No woman has ever looked at me the way you do. If you would have told me a year ago that we’d be friends, let alone lovers, I would have laughed in your face. We didn’t plan for this, but I’m glad it happened. Before you came into my life, quinn, I was heartbroken, and I was very angry. You made my life better.
Quinn: How… can I be so lucky? You are so genuine, kind, warm. You know what I’ve done, the people I’ve hurt. I’ve crossed so many lines. Yet, you want to be with me for me.
Carter: I do.
Quinn: Something happened at eric’S. Something unexpected. The divorce isn’t finalized. Somehow, um, eric found it in his heart to forgive me. He says he loves me, and he doesn’t want the marriage to end. He says he wants me back.
