Sonny: I know you’re busy. I didn’t mean to bother you. I just — I didn’t really want to make this call.

Nina:  Mike, what’s wrong?

Sonny: We need you. Lenny, Phyllis, and me. Is there any way you can come home?

Nina:  I don’t understand. What’s going on?

Sonny: I promised Lenny back in Nixon Falls that I wasn’t gonna say anything.

Nina:  Wait, back in Nixon Falls? Where are you?

Sonny: We’re all in New York.

Nina:  New York?

Valentin: Thank you.  We’re hanging in an Irish bar. I’m not drinking a domestic beer.

Anna: Oh, god. Is it warm?

Valentin: Oh, yeah.

Anna: [ Scoffs ] Did you get anything else from the bartender?

Valentin: That the nurse at New York Methodist is right. The medevac pilot, he’s a regular here.

Anna: Okay. So when he gets here —

Valentin: I know, I know. Subtle. It’s your show.

Anna: Yes. It is. Because right now, this — this could be the way to track Peter down and maybe find Maxie’s baby.

Brook Lynn: Hi, Deanna. Bailey and I are here for her checkup.

Deanna: Why, hello, Bailey.

Brook Lynn: [ Chuckles ]

Deanna: Are you extra pretty today? [ Chuckles ] I can’t decide who she looks like — you or Mr. Cassadine.

Brook Lynn: You know babies. One minute they look just like you, and the next they’re a dead ringer for Winston Churchill.

Deanna: I’ll see if the doctors are ready for you.

Brook Lynn: Great. Thanks.

Maxie: Brook Lynn.

Brook Lynn: Uh, what are you doing here?

Maxie: I hope everything’s okay with Bailey.

Brook Lynn: Oh, yeah, just a checkup. Look who’s here, Bailey.

Maxie: Thank you for arranging this meet-up.

Brook Lynn: Yeah, of course. You said it was your last chance to see her before you have to leave. And with Monica working from home, today was our best shot.

Maxie: Oh, yeah. The last thing I need is another gentle conversation with Monica about my fixation on “your” baby.

Austin: As I live and breathe. What are you two up to?

Josslyn: Was that your mystery man?

Trina: Don’t know why I gave that guy my number. I guess I felt sorry for him.

Josslyn: Oh? And what did he do to deserve your pity?

Trina: It’s not pity. Victor — he grew up without a mom. There’s something lost and lonely about him.

Josslyn: You like him.

Trina: Yeah. Same way I like stray puppies.

Nikolas: So, anyway, that is what’s happening with Cassadine industries. Are you sure this isn’t boring?

Spencer: I find it all fascinating. I especially love seeing you back in charge.

Nikolas: I’m flattered, but I have to ask, shouldn’t you be spending time with friends?

Spencer: I plan to, but right now, there’s no place I’d rather be.

Nikolas: Back at you, son. I feel exactly the same way.

Spencer: Even if it means your wife isn’t part of it?

Nina: Uh, wait, where in New York?

Sonny: Uh, somewhere in Manhattan. New York Methodist hospital. Lenny is sick.

Nina: Oh, no. How sick?

Sonny: It’s bad. He, uh… he doesn’t have much time. He needs you. I need you.

Brook Lynn: How is what we’re doing any of your business?

Maxie: Brook Lynn!

Austin: I was just —

Brook Lynn: Oh, you just figured because you claim to be my family, which, by the way, we’ve heard a thousand times before, that somehow my business is now your business?

Austin: Really?

Brook Lynn: Okay, well, it isn’t. Maxie and I were just talking, so you can run along. Shoo. Don’t let my footwear hit you in the butt on the way out.

Austin: How’s my former patient?

Deanna: The doctor is ready to see Bailey.

Brook Lynn: Thanks, Deanna. Excuse me. Private family business.

Maxie: Um, so you and Brook Lynn are related? How did I miss that?

Austin: I don’t even know where to begin.

Maxie: How about why you left your cozy country practice to join the staff here? Let’s start there.

Austin: Okay, well… Maxie, you of all people know just how quickly life can change.

Josslyn: So, tell me more about Victor.

Trina: Uh, he’s excessively fond of the park. How about you tell me what I missed on the Fourth after I took off?

Josslyn: You’re deflecting.

Trina: You’re right. I am. Glad you got that. Did you and cam do anything besides stay and watch the fireworks?

Josslyn: Actually, I’ve been waiting for the right moment to tell you.

Trina: Tell me what? Please, no. “Please, no” what? Please, no you and Cam. Don’t tell me you guys are at it again.

Nikolas: Ava, join us, please.

Ava: No, no, I don’t — I don’t want to intrude. Besides, we’ve — we’ve said everything that we need to say at Wyndemere.

Nikolas: T-that’s not quite true. I have something to tell you that’s gonna affect us and our future.

Sonny: So, what happened was we came here, um, for a second opinion on Lenny’s heart. And… instead, they found a tumor.

Nina: A tumor? Well, I wish I would have known. I would have dropped everything to be there.

Sonny: That’s why Lenny didn’t want me to tell you, ’cause he didn’t, you know, want to interrupt you with your grandson.

Nina: Well, as it happens, I’m with him right now. And his mother.

Sonny: As you should be. I’m gonna let you go, okay?

Nina: No, no, Mike, she’s helping Wiley get ready. I have a lot of time. I can talk to you.

Sonny: Nina, listen, there’s one thing I need to ask you, and I hate to ask you, and I know Lenny would hate that I’m asking you.

Nina: Well, you don’t need to ask. Cancer treatments cost a fortune. I would love to help.

Anna: Okay, so if our Mr. Hopkins makes a move, or he heads for the exit —

Valentin: He’s not getting past me.

Anna: Yes, but subtle. He’s — oh, I think we’re a go.

Hopkins: The usual. Thank you.

Anna: Oh, I just don’t have any bars in here at all. It’s like — do you have service? Hmm.

Hopkins: Let me take a shot. Mm… you’re from London.

Anna: Oh, wow, you’re good. For an American.

Maxie: I was surprised to learn that you had moved to Port Charles. You seemed so at home in Pautuck where you delivered my baby in the woods. Thank you again for that.

Austin: Oh, right time, right place. Just wish I could have been able to stop whoever took your baby. Any word about little Louise?

Maxie: No, not yet. Um, anyway, we were talking about you. No evading this time. How exactly are you related to Brook Lynn?

Austin: She’s my cousin.

Maxie: Oh, don’t tell me you’re a Quartermaine.

Austin: Guilty as charged.

Maxie: Oh, first thing you need to know about that family — never admit guilt unless you already know you’re getting away with it.

Austin: Getting away with what?

Maxie: Mm, doesn’t matter. So back to how you’re related to Brook Lynn.

Austin:  My full name is Austin Gatlin-Holt. My mother was Charity Gatlin.

Maxie: Oh, that — what? That makes your father Jimmy Lee Holt, one of Edward Quartermaine’s illegitimate children.

Austin: How’d you know that?

Maxie: It’s all in Lucy Coe’s book, “The Travel Guide to Port Charles.”

Austin: [ Chuckles ] That’s a thing?

Maxie: Yeah, you can buy it online.

Austin: Oh.

Maxie: It’s also in Edward’s unauthorized biography. So, how are your parents, anyway?

Austin: Well, my father died about six months ago.

Maxie: Oh, my god. I’m so sorry. Wait, so is that why you’re here in Port Charles? To connect with your family?

Austin: Yeah. Why? You thought I was here for some other reason?

Cameron: Hey, guys. Am I butting in on some girl talk?

Josslyn: Oh, no, actually, Trina and i were just talking about the Fourth of July.

Cameron: Best day ever.

Trina: The Fourth? Really? Not birthdays or Christmas?

Cameron: What about them?

Nikolas: Spencer, would you excuse us for a moment?

Spencer: Gladly. Whatever the two of you need to, um…

Nikolas: Stay put. I-I won’t be long. I’ve spoken to Martin. He’s suggesting something called a “no-fault divorce.”

Ava: Okay. What do we have to do?

Nikolas: Both parties have to agree that our marriage has “broken down irrevocably” for at least six months.

Ava: And you’ll agree to that?

Nikolas: If that’s what you want. But it will take at least six weeks to be finalized.

Ava: Six weeks?

Nikolas: It’s the quickest option we have.

Ava: No, I — it’s just that the stalker can do a lot of damage in six weeks.

Nikolas: I’ll make sure that the bodyguard is ever present and out of sight, just like he is today.

Ava: What about Avery?

Nikolas: Avery is safe with Carly.

Ava: For another six weeks. But okay. A no-fault divorce it is. And the sooner our lawyers get started on it, the better for everyone.

Lenny: I was fishing in the river.

Phyllis: I remember.

Lenny: When my line got tangled.

Phyllis: You were so mad.

Lenny: And I lost the flathead I’d been trying to catch. And then I heard you laughing.

Phyllis: [ Laughs ] Because it was funny.

Lenny: Not to me, it wasn’t.

Phyllis: I could see that, too.

Lenny: I was about to give whoever was laughing what for. Then I looked and saw you.

Phyllis: Mm, and you forgot about that fish.

Lenny: Now, you know that’s not how this story goes.

[ Both laugh ]

Phyllis: I would like it to go that way just once.

Lenny: The story is not as good if I’m not mad at you about rooting for the fish.

Phyllis: You got a point there.

Lenny: And why were you rooting for the fish?

Phyllis: Because I always root for the underdog.

Lenny: I was the underdog. That fish had the upper hand, and it doesn’t even have hands.

Phyllis: When I asked what you’re gonna do when you caught that fish, you said “bring him in, weigh him, throw him back, and catch him again.” That’s how I knew you had respect for life and much more patience than anyone could ever guess.

Lenny: Don’t tell anybody.

Phyllis: Your secret’s safe with me.

Lenny: [ Chuckles ]

Anna: So, I-I’m new in town, you know — oh, thank you. Big Apple. [ Chuckles ] Does anybody call it that anymore?

Hopkins: No.

Anna: No, I didn’t think so. Can be quite intimidating, you know. I mean, unless you have somebody that can, uh, show you the ropes.

Hopkins: You get used to it.

Anna: Are you a newcomer as well?

Hopkins: You could say that.

Anna: Oh, something that we have in common. So, what brought you here? Um…a job, a-a new life? Trying to reinvent yourself?

Hopkins: Trying to forget.

Anna: Ah. A woman.

Hopkins: Sort of. My sister. She’s, uh… she’s dead.

Anna: I’m sorry.

Hopkins: Thanks.

Anna: Well, I guess… something else we have in common. My sister died recently as well.

Sonny: Thanks, Nina. I-I knew you’d want to help.

Nina: Of course I want to help. Thank you for asking me.

Sonny: Now we just got to convince Lenny and Phyllis to accept.

Nina: Yeah. Yeah. Well, this is Lenny’s life that we are talking about. Of course I would always help. And pride be damned. After all the kindness that Phyllis and Lenny have shown me, I want to do something for them in return.

Sonny: They’ll be very happy, eventually.

Nina: Well, you’re just gonna have to convince them.

Sonny: After they give me hell for calling you in the first place.

[ Both laugh ]

Nina: So I could probably get a plane ticket to New York tonight.

Sonny: No, you don’t have to do that ’cause we’re heading — we’re heading home tomorrow.

Nina: Okay, great. Well, then I’ll see you in Nixon Falls tomorrow. In the meantime, if there is anything else that you need…

Sonny: Just you. I mean, you know what I mean.

Nina: No. I know what you mean, Mike. I miss you, too.

Willow: Somebody can’t wait to hit the water.

Nina: Just — just one second, okay?

Willow: Take your time. We’ll be outside.

Nina: No, uh, you don’t have to — you don’t have to go anywhere. Just one second, okay? Um, hey, I-I should run. The man of my dreams just walked in.

Sonny: Competition, huh? I know who’s gonna win this round. I’ll see you later.

Nina: Yeah, just give Phyllis and Lenny my love, okay? And, um, remember, don’t take no for an answer.

Sonny: Done and done.

Nina: Goodbye.

Willow: Sorry for interrupting.

Nina: Are you kidding? Your timing — it was perfect. It was perfect. Hey, Wiley. May I?

Willow: Yeah.

Nina: Wiley is just the medicine that I need. How are you, my man? I am so blessed to have you in my life.

Willow: Nina, what’s wrong? Bad news or…?

Nina: It’s, um — I found out a friend of mine is — is sick. And so just when Wiley and i are getting to know each other again… …I’m gonna have to leave him.

Maxie: Well, um, good luck with the Quartermaines. I really wish I could be around to see the fireworks.

Austin: Why won’t you be around? You going someplace?

Maxie: It’s been difficult to see Brook Lynn with her baby. She’s been very nice about it and has been letting me spend time with Bailey. We both thought it would help, but —

Austin: But every time you see Bailey, you see Louise.

Maxie: You have no idea. Hey, how was Bailey’s checkup?

Brook Lynn: My little angel passed with flying colors. So, did I miss anything?

Austin: Just tragedy. Miss Maxie’s leaving as soon as I’m getting settled into town. Best of luck.

Maxie: Yeah, you too. I think maybe you’ll need it more than I will.

Austin: That might be the case. Bye, cuz. I’ll see you when I see you. Unless you see me first.

Brook Lynn: Okay, spill. What does he know?

Maxie: More than I do. How come you didn’t tell me he was your cousin?

Trina: You know what would be totally fun and awesome to do right now?

Cameron: Go for a dip in the pool?

Josslyn: Yeah, I’m in.

Trina: No, this is even better. Let’s look at our classes.

Josslyn: Right now?

Cameron: I mean, we have all summer to do that, Trina. The pool, it’s like —

Trina: Is the pool going anywhere, Cam?

Cameron: Well, no.

Trina: But we are. To PCU. Oh, did you know that you can shop for your classes? Sit in on whatever you like, and then decide whether you want to take it or not? Isn’t that wild?

Josslyn: Yeah.

Trina: Like this humanities program. It says here this course presents readings from various countries and cultures. And I think we could all agree we could all use more exposure to other people. Or have you guys already decided what you want?

Cameron: Pretty much.

Josslyn: Cam, could you, uh, go get us something from the bar?

Cameron: Sure.

Josslyn: Thanks.

Trina: Well?

Josslyn: Do you remember when we vowed to never, ever let a boy come in between us?

Trina: Yeah, I remember. Why?

Josslyn: Well, first off, I need you to trust me when I tell you that that is still true.

Ava: Spencer is looking a little antsy. You shouldn’t keep him waiting any longer. Thank you for the update. And… just have Martin call Scott, okay?

Nikolas: Ava.

Ava: Broken down irrevocably. Remember?

Spencer: I’m sorry this is upsetting you, but maybe it’s better this way.

Nikolas: Better how?

Spencer: Ava might not be my favorite person, but if someone is trying to freak her out with something like a cockroach in Plexiglas…

Nikolas: How do you know about that?

Anna: What was your sister’s name?

Hopkins: Marie. My baby sister. Just a few years younger than me. Such a beautiful girl. And so smart. Too smart for her own good.

Anna: How so?

Hopkins: She was a risk-taker. Could… get herself into trouble. This time, she died doing the right thing, trying to save a baby.

Anna: Oh. She was a hero, then.

Hopkins: Mother was trying to run off with the kid, keep her from the dad. What kind of person does that?

Anna: I don’t know. So your sister, she rescued this baby from the mother and… what, gave her to the father?

Hopkins: Well, like I said, she tried, but… never got the chance. She fell, literally fell into a hole and… wait a second. What’s it to you?

Anna: Nothing. I’m just lending an ear.

Hopkins: No. Something’s going on here. Who the hell are you?

Sonny: Can I come in?

Lenny: Of course.

Phyllis: We’ve been wondering where you’ve been.

Sonny: Well, I just — I talked to the doctor and I told them to get started while I talked to you. We need to get a-a jump on fighting this thing.

Lenny: Well, thanks for taking charge, but —

Phyllis: But there’s no way we can afford it.

Sonny: Now, listen. You don’t have to worry about that. We — we got this.

Lenny: Who’s “we”?

Phyllis: You called Nina, didn’t you?

Wiley: [ Speaks indistinctly ]

Nina: Yeah, my friend in Nixon Falls. Not the one I was talking to, but another friend, he was just diagnosed with cancer.

Willow: Oh, my god.

Nina: Yeah, and if they don’t throw everything at it, then…

Willow: Of course you’d want to go to them. Look, Wiley will be disappointed about missing your pool date, but if you have to go —

Nina: No, no, no. I don’t have to miss the pool day. I-I want to spend as much time as I possibly can with this little guy. Mike is gonna take care of things on their end, and he’s gonna keep me posted.

Willow: I think I like this Mike person.

Wiley: Look at this red thing.

Willow: Yeah, look at that. Maybe we’ll get to meet him someday.

Wiley: It’s broken.

Nina: Well, the only man in my life right now is my grandson.

Josslyn: There we were, thinking about everything we got wrong. I mean, all of the signals that had gotten crossed or misinterpreted. And then we were… well, you know, it was… yeah.

Trina: Well, Joss, I have to say, I’m a bit shocked.

Josslyn: Trina —

Trina: Shocked that it took you guys so long.

Josslyn: Wait, so you knew?

Trina: When you and Cam were at my graduation party, I thought you guys were acting a bit different, but I didn’t want to say anything.

Josslyn: So you’re not mad.

Trina: Why would I be mad that my two best friends finally wised up and realized that they’re meant to be together?

Josslyn: Well, because for a while, you and Cam —

Trina: Joss, please. That is so high school. We’ve matured since then. We’re four years away from being college graduates.

Josslyn: So you’re genuinely happy for me and Cam?

Trina: I’m happy for Cam. I feel nothing but pity for you.

[ Both chuckle ]

Cameron: Hey, so I got us some Shirley Temples. We can get sodas anywhere, so… a-are we good here?

[ Both laugh ]

Brook Lynn: I didn’t tell you Austin claims to be my cousin because I don’t know if it’s true. Quartermaines get pretenders all the time. And we all were quite shocked when he made his big announcement… except Monica. I swear, that woman, she has ice in her veins.

Maxie: Okay, well, can she give me a transfusion? ‘Cause I’m kind of freaking out right now that Austin’s gonna recognize you from that night in the woods. He could blow our whole story wide open.

Brook Lynn: Maxie, we have been over this. Austin was completely unconscious in the woods. He doesn’t remember a thing. And how do I know this? Because he’s already seen me quite a few times and hasn’t made the connection.

Maxie: Doesn’t mean he won’t.

Brook Lynn: He’s way too busy trying to vindicate his late father to pay attention to anything else. Don’t worry about Austin, Maxie. He might be a minor problem for the Quartermaines, but not for your baby.

Austin: Hi. Can I get a rye Manhattan on the rocks, please? Hello.

Ava: Hi. Austin.

Austin: Hi, Ava.

Ava: [ Chuckles ]

Austin: You remember me. That’s a good sign.

Ava: Oh, yeah. Well, I may have been, shall we say, “spirited” the night we met, but I was not unconscious. It’s nice to see you again.

Austin: Likewise. I’m glad to see you. I’m glad it’s not an unhappy reunion. So, your husband’s here. You two are still doing that thing.

Ava: What thing exactly?

Austin: You know, where you try and prove to yourself and everybody else that you belong apart by showing up at the same time at the same place. How’s that working out for you?

Nikolas: Stop trying to change the subject. How did you know about the cockroach that was sent to Ava? You were half a world away.

Spencer: It happened at a restaurant. Some customer posted it online and people freaked out and it blew up on social media. And I saw it.

Nikolas: Did it? Can I see?

Spencer: You could have at the time. I think someone from the Port Charles Grill got in contact with the poster and had it wiped. It’s not there anymore.

Nikolas: Is that right?

Spencer: I’m kind of glad, too. It was disgusting. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Not even Ava.

Ava: You would know that everybody runs into each other at the Metro Court. I mean, there are other restaurants, of course.

Spencer: Father.

Nikolas: Hmm.

Spencer: Don’t.

Nikolas: I don’t know what you mean.

Spencer: Except clearly you do. Maybe it’s time to turn the page. It certainly looks like Ava has.

Anna: I just was pointing out that we both lost sisters recently.

Hopkins: Why are you so interested in my sister? What the hell is this?

Valentin: Move and I break your wrist.

Anna: Oi, this isn’t subtle.

Bartender: Hey!

Valentin: No?

Bartender: I don’t know who the hell —

Valentin: NYPD! Go clean some glasses! Apologize to the lady.

Anna: Stay where you are.

Hopkins: I’m sorry.

Valentin: You gonna talk now, flyboy?

Hopkins: Fine, I’ll talk. What do you want to know?

Anna: I want to know about the baby that your sister helped kidnap and the father, Peter August.

Brook Lynn: Okay, hurry up and say your goodbyes before somebody sees us and tells Monica. I hate gossip.

Maxie: You live for gossip.

Brook Lynn: Yeah, about other people. Start talking.

Maxie: I know you’re not gonna remember this, but it’s okay. I will. I’m gonna remember your sweet little face, your tiny little fingers, and that brand-new baby smell. I’m gonna remember this moment and take it all the way to Texas with me. You know, they say things are bigger in Texas. That means I’m gonna miss you that much more. Love you that much more. And be your mommy that much more.

Brook Lynn: I hate to do this —

Maxie: I know. Time’s up. I won’t say goodbye to her. I can’t.

Ava: I’m so sorry.

Austin: Why?

Ava: I’m mortified. F-f-for the other night.

Austin: Oh, don’t be. No, it was fun.

Ava: It was fun?

Austin: Yeah, it was fun. I’m from a small town. It’s quiet. Not much happens in Pautuck. For me to be a-a part of a public matrimonial drama, that’s a big night out. [ Chuckles ] It’s like diving in the deep end.

Ava: Mm, off the deep end, I think.

[ Both laugh ]

Austin: So, how are things with you two?

Ava: Divorce. We’re — we’re getting divorced.

Austin: Sorry to hear that. Some differences are irreconcilable.

Ava: Actually, it’s a matter of life and death.

Spencer: It seems like your wife has found a friend.

Nikolas: I don’t know. Last time I saw her with that guy —

Spencer: This isn’t the first time? Interesting.

Nikolas: Spencer, don’t.

Spencer: Don’t what? State the obvious.

Nikolas: Don’t try to stir things up.

Spencer: Sorry. Old habits. Ah, speaking of which, you should kick this one.

Nikolas: Ava is not a habit. She’s the woman that I love.

Spencer: Well, she’s awfully interested in that guy at the bar.

Nikolas: They’re just talking. No big deal.

Spencer: Yes. Well, [Clears throat] I am gonna take off.

Nikolas: You don’t have to go, do you?

Spencer: You’re preoccupied.

Nikolas: [ Sighs ] I’m sorry.

Spencer: It’s alright. I-I really do have somewhere to be. I’ll see you at home, Father. Father, I can’t help wondering…

Nikolas: Yeah?

Spencer: …If Ava and company are having a real conversation, maybe it’s a bigger deal than you think.

Cameron: So, you told her.

Josslyn: Oh, she already knew. Apparently, we were the only ones who didn’t.

Trina: Don’t think this changes anything, Cam. Sisters before misters always. Capiche?

Cameron: I totally get that. I’m just wondering if those same rules apply to your imaginary friend.

Trina: He’s not imaginary, Cam.

Cameron: Okay, well, then how come we haven’t seen his Instagram or a single photo of him?

Trina: Because some people prefer not to have a social media presence, Cam. Right now, I don’t blame him. If you’ll excuse me, I left my cover-up in the changing room.

Cameron: Trina, I was just joking. Did i put my foot in it again?

Josslyn: What else is new?

Cameron: Us.

Josslyn: Yeah, I guess we are.

Willow: I promise to post lots of pictures of Wiley so the next time you see him in person, you won’t be too surprised by how much he’s grown.

Nina: Alright, I’ll hold you to that. And I hope next time I see you that Chase is back on his feet.

Willow: We all want that.

Nina: And maybe you guys can start thinking about a little brother or sister for Wiley. If that’s any of my business, which I don’t think it is my business.

Willow: [ Chuckles ] It’s fine. We just — we haven’t really thought about that yet.

Nina: Okay. Yeah. You know, Chase is probably — I know he will be a really great dad and you’re already a wonderful mother. I just hope that you get exactly what you want. My fingers are crossed.

Willow: Thanks. And hey, you never know. If you and Carly can start to get along, anything’s possible.

Sonny: Never leave me behind again.

Nina: I won’t.

Willow: Nina? Did I say something wrong?

Sonny: I’m sorry, Lenny. I broke my promise, reached out to Nina. She’s coming back to Nixon Falls.

Lenny: I wish to hell you hadn’t done that. As if this disease hasn’t cost us enough, n-now it’s gonna cost Nina precious time with her grandson.

Phyllis: Nina can make her own decisions. And since we’re all being open and honest, I’m glad you called her. And I know as much as she wants to be with her grandson, we need all the love we can get right now.

Sonny: She’s offering more than love, Lenny.

Lenny: No way.

Sonny: Why not?

Lenny: I won’t take one dime of her money.

Sonny: This is not about keeping the tan-o afloat or paying your utility bills. This is your life. It’s more important than your pride or — or a bank account.

Lenny: I don’t want to be indebted to anybody.

Sonny: Yeah, but listen. Nina and I, w-we owe you gu– we love you. You’ve given us so much. You’re gonna let us repay our debt. [ Voice breaking ] We’re gonna fight this cancer together. You got it?

Hopkins: [ Groans ] I-I swear, I don’t know what happened to the baby. It was my job to pick up the father.

Valentin:  The father Peter August?

Hopkins: Yeah. I was gonna fly him to the rendezvous point, pick up my sister, the baby, and the mother, and take them wherever he told me to.

Anna: Which was where?

Hopkins: Everything was need-to-know. He was very clear he’d give me the new destination when we were back in the air.

Anna: Okay, so you were hired to pick up Peter from the roof of General Hospital. After you picked him up, where did you take him?

Hopkins: I didn’t!

Austin: A stalker? That’s horrible. And — and you feel somehow that the stalker is forcing you toward divorce?

Ava: Yes. But we do what we must do for the sake of our children, right? And in my case, that means handing my daughter over to Carly Corinthos for safekeeping.

Austin: Oh, I just met her. She seems nice. Friend of yours?

Ava: No. No, she was married to my daughter’s father. And if I’m being honest, my daughter is… [ Sighs ] She’s happy there and she’s safe.

Austin: It’s just awful. Parents separated from a child.

Ava: It is indeed.

Austin: I mean, I don’t know firsthand, but I’m just thinking about Maxie Jones and her baby.

Ava: Well, that’s not the same thing. That’s not the same thing at all.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Nikolas: Yes, Martin. Yes, I told her. She says a lot can happen in six weeks. No, I’m not holding out hope that she’ll change her mind. I’m hoping that the stalker will slip up and we can bring him to justice of the Cassadine variety.

Cameron: Hey, do you need more sunblock?

Josslyn: Oh, uh, yeah, actually. I can feel myself starting to roast.

Cameron: Do you want me to…?

Josslyn: Oh, please. Yeah.

Spencer: Watch the hands, townie.

Maxie: You’re a little superhero, you know. You have a secret identity. To the world and to you. You’re gonna be Bailey Quartermaine now. But here and here, you’re always gonna be my Louise.

Brook Lynn: Maxie, I want you to know that, um, I promise this amazing little creature will always be cared for and loved, okay?

Maxie: I know. If I had any doubts, I wouldn’t be able to do this.

Nina: I already miss Wiley, and I’m not leaving until the morning.

Willow: Well, if you’re not heading back too early, maybe a quick breakfast visit?

Nina: Well, I’m — I’m leaving first thing in the morning, so that’s why we have to make the most out of today. Okay, little guy? Come here, handsome. Let’s go. Okay, wave to Mommy. Alright, let’s get out of here. Thank you so much. We’ll see you later.

Willow: Bye. Have fun.

Nina: Okay.

Nurse: Mr. Caulfield, the doctor’s ready to discuss your treatment plan options with you.

Lenny: Looks like I’m outnumbered. Let’s do this.

Sonny: One day at a time, right?

Phyllis: I know, Mike. It’s just that…some days are harder than others.

Sonny: Yeah, I hate that. There’s never enough time.

Anna: Okay, I’m confused. Alright, you said Peter hired you to take him off the roof of General Hospital.

Hopkins: That was the plan. I couldn’t get the chopper close enough, so I had to abort.

Anna: Well, if you didn’t airlift him out, how did he escape?

On the next “General Hospital”

Alexis (to Shawn): I think it might be unavoidable for both of us.

Nikolas (to TJ and Molly): Please tell me you have good news.

Cam (to Spencer): So how long are you in town for?

Laura (to Jordan): You’ll need to cut that short.

Trina: You’re just full of surprises.

Anna (to Valentin): Can you describe this other person that was on the roof?

Finn (to Elizabeth): I’m not sure the authorities are gonna agree with you.
