Holly goes home to the Kiriakis Mansion and starts to text Tate that she’s back in Salem, asking if they can talk but decides she can’t do it and puts her phone away. Maggie comes in and hugs her, asking how it went with Eric. Holly says she told him everything that happened with Nicole and she also forgave Eric for what he did to her father. Maggie says she’s so glad because hanging on to all that anger could only end up hurting her too. Holly admits it does kind of feel good to be forgiving. Holly hopes Tate realizes that too and that he can forgive her.

Tate brings Sophia home and calls out to Brady or Marlena but no one is home. Tate tells Sophia that it looks like they have the place to themselves.

Kayla goes to the Brady Pub and tells Roman that she needs a coffee. Roman asks if she’s sure she doesn’t need something stronger. Kayla says she’d like that but she needs to stay awake. Roman asks if it was a long day at the hospital. Kayla says it always is but that’s not what has her worn out. Roman is sure it’s the situation with Chad, Steve, and the Abigail impostor. Roman says he can’t stop thinking about it. Kayla feels so bad for Chad, Jack, and Jennifer. Kayla isn’t sure if Jack and Jennifer know that their daughter isn’t alive. Roman is thankful that Steve got there in time to save Chad. Kayla calls it a lot to process as this woman pretended to be Abigail for months and a doctor on her staff was in cahoots with her. Roman says they fooled a lot of people. Kayla is relieved that they are behind bars where they should be.

Chad confronts Cat in the interrogation room. Cat says she didn’t expect him to be her visitor. Chad says he has to talk to her. Cat responds that she’s glad he came because she needs to talk to him too.

Ava runs in to Brady in the town square and says she heard the news that he was cleared of Sarah’s accident. Ava says she’s very happy for him. Brady thanks her and calls it a tremendous relief but he’s still feeling ashamed for being drunk, falling off the wagon, and succumbing to his addiction but he’s grateful he was not behind the wheel. Brady assures that he’s drinking club soda now. Ava says she should get going as she’s been on her feet all day at the Bistro. Brady stops her and invites her to join him which she accepts. Brady informs Ava that Kristen bought him a new car.

Kayla tells Roman about how hard this has to be on Chad. Roman says it’s been a rollercoaster for him and now Chad and the impostor got married before Steve showed up. Kayla says luckily, Cat lied about her name which makes the marriage invalid. Kayla talks about Chad having to grieve Abigail all over again. Roman hopes he never sets eyes on that woman again.

Cat asks Chad if she can say what she has to say first which Chad allows. Cat repeats that she hated what she did to him but she didn’t feel like she had a choice because her mother’s life was hanging in balance. Cat insists that what she did to him was not her and the more it went on, the harder it got since she got to know him and fell for him. Cat apologizes for rambling and admits she’s really nervous, so she tells Chad to go ahead and talk. Chad says he has a question for her and asks Cat where is his wife.

Ava asks Brady if Kristen buying him a car is her way of getting back together with him. Brady remarks that it could be and he doesn’t know why he even mentioned Kristen buying him a car, but he didn’t want people thinking he bought an expensive car when he doesn’t even care about cars. Ava guesses that means he and Kristen are getting along now. Brady says they are being civilized but she did agree to share custody of Rachel with him which is huge. Ava says she’s very happy for him. Brady adds that Kristen is going to do something huge for Sarah as well which Ava questions. Brady says he can’t talk about it just yet, but if all goes as planned, it will be a miracle. Ava toasts to Kristen and her sudden generosity of spirit.

Holly tells Maggie that she feels so terrible for worming her way in to Tate’s house to get evidence to use against his dad, but she felt like she had to get justice for Sarah. Maggie understands that drove her to do that, not just for Sarah, but because of how her father lost his life. Maggie feels like she was getting justice for her dad as well. Holly confirms that’s exactly why she did it but she still feels sneaky, dishonest, and like a fool since it turns out that Brady was innocent after all, so she feels bad for hurting Tate so much. Maggie says that Tate obviously knows her father was killed in a car accident and that’s why she was so passionate about getting justice for Sarah. Maggie thinks Tate should be reminded of that. Maggie adds that she knows Brady very well as his sponsor and friend. Maggie states that Brady was going to take responsibility for a mistake he thought he made, so she believes Tate would appreciate Holly owning up to her own mistake. Maggie encourages Holly to tell Tate what she just told her and how she misses him. Maggie thinks Tate will forgive her. Holly asks what if he doesn’t. Maggie points out that she’s not going to know unless she tries.

Sophia finishes a call with her mom, claiming that she’s at her friend Brianna’s, studying and that she’ll be home late. Sophia hangs up and complains to Tate that her mom is annoying, having to know where she is at all times. Sophia comments on the house being nice and compares it to the Kiriakis Mansion which Tate feels he wouldn’t like living in as it’s too huge and dark, but says he’ll take her there some time and give her a tour of the wings. Sophia remembers taking prom pictures here. Tate is sorry that was such a disaster. Sophia says it’s fine but Tate is ashamed of how he acted since he was so fixated on being with Holly without thinking of how it would affect Sophia. Sophia tells him not to worry as that was a long time ago and a lot has changed since then. Tate still feels really bad. Sophia suggests thinking of a way to make it up to her then.

Steve joins Kayla and Roman at the Pub. Kayla says she was going to bring home takeout but Steve wanted to see her sooner after the last few days. Kayla says she and Roman were just talking about the Abigail impostor. Steve says he was doing the same with Marlena. Roman mentions that Marlena told him that Steve gave her some good news. Steve confirms that he told Marlena who the Abigail impostor really is and who her mother is.

Cat questions Chad seriously asking her where Abigail is. Chad then asks her where is his wife’s body.

Roman is shocked to learn that Cat Green is Catharina’s daughter. Steve explains that it turned out Catharina didn’t die all those years ago after all. Roman brings up John carrying all that guilt. Steve says they all tried to help him since he wasn’t in control of his actions as The Pawn, but he never stopped blaming himself for what happened. Kayla asks where Catharina is now. Steve responds that he doesn’t even know if she’s still alive.

Cat asks Chad what he’s talking about. Chad explains that when Clyde told him that Abigail was alive, they exhumed her grave and her coffin was empty but he knows now that it was just part of his plan to make him believe she was alive. Cat tries to say she can’t believe it but Chad tells her to stop with the fake outrage since she helped Clyde with every part of the plan. Chad demands to know where his wife is but Cat says she doesn’t know. Chad shouts that she does but Cat screams back that she doesn’t. Chad argues that after the last few months, the least she could do is help him lay his wife to rest. Chad demands to know where she is. Cat responds that she’s really sorry but she does not know where Abigail’s body is.

Ava tells Brady that speaking of all the interesting women he’s been involved with, then decides it’s none of his business. Brady tells her it’s okay since his love life is not a secret in this town. Ava jokes that no one’s really is, but she thinks it’s crazy that he was involved with Xander’s mother and that she let him take the fall for Sarah’s accident. Brady adds that Fiona then almost pushed Sarah down a flight of stairs when she remembered. Ava calls Fiona not well. Brady calls Fiona a monster. Ava guesses she has her redeeming qualities as a good tipper. Brady questions how she knows that. Ava says that hardly compensates for being a homicidal maniac but tells him about Sophia telling her that Fiona gave big tips. Ava mentions that Sophia goes to school with Tate.

Tate has issues getting Peacock to load so he and Sophia can watch a movie. Tate blames the old TV and guesses they can’t watch a movie after all, unless she wants to watch it in his bedroom.

Holly shows Maggie that she was about to text Tate before she came in, but she didn’t send it as she’s nervous that he might ghost her. Maggie encourages her, so Holly sends the text to Tate.

Sophia agrees to watching the movie in Tate’s bedroom so they head to his room together. Tate leaves his phone behind, not seeing Holly’s text that she’s back and asking if they can talk.

Brady tells Ava that he does know Sophia as she and Tate went to prom together. Ava says it sounds like Sophia has a major crush on Tate and would be very interested in dating him. Brady asks if Sophia confided in her that she was going to go for it. Ava says she actually admitted she was reluctant because she was concerned that Tate still had feelings for Holly. Brady responds that he’s not so sure that will be an issue anymore.

Holly tells Maggie that Tate has not texted her back. Maggie suggests putting the phone down rather than watching it. Maggie encourages Holly to be proud of herself for taking a risk and making the first move to set things right between her and Tate, so now all she can do is wait. Maggie decides she wants to watch a movie which Holly says sounds good. Holly continues looking at her phone so Maggie reminds her not to. Holly complains that Tate still hasn’t texted back and wonders if he hasn’t seen her text or if there’s a phone glitch and he didn’t get the text or if he thinks she’s still mad at him and wants nothing to do with her. Maggie suggests trying the old fashioned way and just calling Tate then but Holly worries that he probably won’t even pick up. Holly decides she’ll do something even more old fashioned and just go over there. Maggie points out that it’s kind of late but Holly doesn’t care and says she has to know and see Tate. Holly thanks Maggie for her help and then exits.

Tate and Sophia sit on his bed and watch a movie. Sophia tells Tate that she’s really glad he asked her to come over. Tate says he is too. Sophia knows she came on strong in the past but she didn’t mean to. Tate says it’s okay but Sophia disagrees and says sometimes, her feelings just take over and she’s doing something completely crazy. Sophia suggests she was jealous of he and Holly or she doesn’t know how to act when she likes someone and she really likes Tate. Tate responds that he likes her too as they then kiss.

Cat tells Chad that she had nothing to do with moving Abigail’s body and didn’t even know it was missing. Cat asks why she would need to lie to him now, insisting it had to have been Clyde. Chad decides he’ll stop wasting his time with her then and go talk to Clyde. Cat realizes she has no right to ask anything of him, but she asks Chad to ask Clyde where her mother’s body is too if he speaks to him.

Kayla questions Clyde holding Catharina hostage all these years and how that’s even possible. Steve explains that was Clyde’s leverage over Cat and Mark, but since they couldn’t deliver the DiMera fortune, he has no incentive to keep their mother alive. Steve adds that they have no idea where she is, but Shane is having extra security set up at the prison to make sure Clyde can’t contact anyone on the outside and the warden will let him know immediately if anyone tries to contact Clyde. Steve then gets a call from the warden and hopes they will catch a break. Steve is shocked and asks how the hell that happened. Steve argues that he can’t be serious and questions who is in charge there. Steve demands they keep him posted as he angrily hangs up. Kayla asks what’s wrong.

Chad asks what Cat is talking about. Cat says she’s been hoping that her mother is still alive. Cat points out that Mark was supposed to kill Chad but he didn’t and she was supposed to transfer Chad’s funds to Clyde but she didn’t, so it’s likely that her mother is dead.

Brady tells Ava about Tate and Holly breaking up. Ava questions if he doesn’t think they will get back together. Brady jokes that she’s too invested in this teenage drama. Ava jokes that she was a huge fan of Gossip Girl. Ava says she just likes Sophia and that she reminds her a little bit of herself, so she hopes Tate is interested in Sophia too since she likes him.

Tate asks Sophia if she’s okay with this. Sophia responds that she is, so they continue kissing until they are interrupted by a knock at the front door. Tate asks if she heard something as Holly knocks on the door outside.

Chad tells Cat that she has no right to ask anything of him. Cat says she understands but it’s her mom. Chad then walks out of the room and Cat breaks down crying.

Steve reveals to Kayla and Roman that they transferred Clyde to the courthouse for his appeal. Kayla questions if he won his appeal. Roman asks if they let him go. Steve reveals that Clyde has escaped.

Brady tells Ava that it’s pathetic that they are two adults talking about who his teenage son will end up going steady with. Ava jokes that term isn’t used anymore, so Brady calls it wondering who his teenage son will end up with or be with. Ava then asks why she is so invested. Brady says she cares about Sophia and wants her to be happy. Ava thinks it’s a way to avoid talking about who they will end up with or not which Brady agrees with. Brady says what he does know is that he’s having a nice conversation with her with no drama and nothing crazy which he hasn’t had in a long time. Ava toasts to light hearted conversations with nothing too personal or serious.

Holly continues knocking on Tate’s front door.

In Tate’s bedroom, Tate and Sophia continue kissing but Tate says he definitely just heard something. Sophia tells him it was just her heart pounding, so they continue kissing.

Holly tries listening through the door but gives up and walks away.

Sophia asks Tate if he has a condom. Tate says he thinks so and asks if she’s sure. Sophia responds that she is, so they continue kissing.
