Spring ridge is minimum security, but it is still prison. When you said that you would take care of my situation, I thought that meant that I would go free. What you got was a slap on the wrist. No one could have got you a better deal. I’m truly grateful for everything that you did. Forget that I said anything.
[ Sighs ] Well, I suppose, even though it’s a long time ago, I do remember being 18 years old, and — and I suppose a month-long confinement would have seemed like a death sentence to me. But you’re a cassadine. You’ll keep a stiff upper lip, and when you get out, you’ll have your whole family waiting for you. Hmm, not my father. Well, perhaps not your father, but you’ll have me. And worst of all, esme, despite the fact that you are every bit as responsible for stalking ava, spencer has to take this whole punishment alone. And as much as he might get on your nerves, I think you do, too. I mean, cameron, you were the one who got him the job at kelly’s when he needed it most. You’re right. We care about spencer. So how can we help? I plan to do whatever I can to keep spence’s spirits up while he’s in spring ridge, but if we could create some happy memories before he goes, I know that would really give him some peace of mind. You already agreed to a weekend getaway. Can you ask your stepfather if we could use his cabin as soon as possible, before spence reports to spring ridge to serve his sentence? He really needs this. I’ll be there for my son, but only when he fully owns up to what he’s done. And I agree with you completely. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. But it sounds to me that he’s really trying to do that. Oh, not only is he working at kelly’s, he’s actually started helping around the house. Y-yeah, I know. Granted, he was mystified at how to use a dishwasher, but once I showed him how, he started pitching in without too much complaint. Okay, it sounds like there’s progress, but it still sounds like he resents me and will refuse to accept my help. Nikolas, what your son needs now more than ever is a loving father who can help him to make up with ava, to set him on the right course. I mean, if not you, then god only knows what influence will step in to fill that void. The only name I can remember calling you is schwein, which is just what you were.

Prison is ripe with opportunities to make bad choices, align with the wrong people. He needs a strong foundation now. I agree, and it’s bad enough that spencer feels indebted to his uncle victor for, uh, getting that plea barg for him. Uncle victor’s presence in port charles concerns me too. Then why did you help him in the first place, nikolas? We got an anonymous tip a while back about a body. We followed up on it, and we found human remains in the pine barrens. The john doe was identified using dental records. He was a known felon — a gun for hire. A hit man? Who was it? His last name was giles, but he went by other aliases as well. We conducted ballistics on the weapon that was found buried with giles, and they were conclusive. It was the same gun that was used to shoot hayden barnes.

[ Gavel bangs ] Judge milford: Mr. Baldwin, do you have evidence of a quid pro quo? Campaign contributions are public record. We know that michael and willow gave a huge chunk of money to the D.A. For his, uh, campaign. The timing seems a little fishy. Mr. Corinthos doesn’t have to answer, as he’s not one of the parties named. Fine. No further questions. Because mr. Baldwin tried to impugn my character, I ask permission to call an additional witness. Mr. Baldwin, mr. Sheridan, approach. Sheridan: Your honor, the defense counsel is making unfounded allegations against me, and I would like to answer them. The sooner we clear this up, the sooner we can focus on the charges against ms. Reeves. What? Judge milford: Mr. Corinthos, you may step down. The prosecution calls willow tait to the stand.
