Liam: We appreciate the offer to stay. We really do. It’s just that, you know, moving out is something we can both come to terms with.
Brooke: No, no, that’s not happening.
Ridge: I can’t have this guy on the property whenever he feels like it.
Brooke: Okay, okay. So, we’ll get creative. Hope and I will sit down. We’ll come up with a schedule. We can figure out times that deacon can come up over you-
Ridge: Oh, yeah, like a schedule.
Brooke: Yeah.
Ridge: Why are you not hearing me? I don’t want him here. If she wants to be with him, she needs to do it someplace else.
Brooke: Why are you not hearing me? Hope and liam aren’t leaving.
Hope: Well, ideally, I don’t want to move out, at the same time, I don’t want my father creating problems for you and ridge.
Sheila: You’re nuts if you think you have the tiniest bit of a chance with brooke.
Deacon: Man, I love when people underestimate me. You know, I wasn’t the only one in that relationship, and there were real feelings between me and brooke. Look what we created. We created this beautiful daughter who’s offering me a place in her life, and you know what? I’m taking it, and I’ll be damned if ridge forrester is going to dictate what goes on between me and my daughter. You know, he wants to bluster. He wants to throw around ultimatums, alienate brooke. I say, have at it. Self-sabotage. And old deacon will be right there waiting.
Thomas: Okay, uh, walk for me. Turn all the way, yep, yep, yep. Um, how does it feel?
Model: Light, airy, effortless.
Thomas: Good. Okay, come on back. Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. You okay?
Model: I am now.
Thomas: Heh.
Steffy: Is this going to be a regular thing? I walk into my office and see someone flirting with my oblivious brother?
Steffy: Women have always fallen for my brother. I don’t quite get it, but hey, whatever.
Model: Sorry. I-
Steffy: No, it’s, it’s fine. Two consenting adults, go for it. And thomas deserves a little fun.
Model: Well, you have my number. Use it.
Finn: It’s just another day at the office. This is nice work if you can get it.
Steffy: I’m just glad my husband doesn’t have models throwing themselves at him every single day.
Finn: Oh, would you be jealous?
Steffy: No, because I know what we have and no one can touch it.
Thomas: Wow. So much confidence.
Steffy: There’s only one woman I want out of finn’s life.
Deacon: Wait, do you hear that? Silence. Is this the calm before the storm?
Sheila: You know, if you don’t like it, there’s the door.
Deacon: Oh, wait, what just happened there? Your personality flipped from amused at my expense to whatever we have here.
Sheila: It’s called a mother’s pain, deacon. You’ve made great strides with hope. So much so that you think that you might actually have a future with brooke.
Deacon: So?
Sheila: So, what about me? When is it my turn? When do I get to have a relationship with my son?
Hope: Mom, it really is okay. As much as, yes, it is a hassle, liam made me realize that it is probably the best solution for everyone.
Ridge: Listen to her, brooke.
Hope: And ridge doesn’t want deacon around, but I do want him to have a place in my life. So, while we loved being here, maybe we have overstayed our welcome.
Brooke: No. Ah, no. This isn’t up for debate. You’re not going anywhere. You’re staying right here. Is that clear? With age comes more…
Thomas: Look, I know it’s a shock to find out that jack’s your biological father. But, is there any part of you that’s maybe happy about it?
Finn: Uh, I don’t know, I’m, I’m still processing the way he hurt and betrayed my mom. And truth is, I don’t like jack finnegan very much right now. And I don’t know this version of him.
Thomas: I’m sorry, man, I mean, look, I know what it’s like for your whole world to blow up in your face.
Steffy: And it always will when sheila’s involved.
Sheila: That miserable creature. Steffy is just ruining everything for me. And finn, I mean, any chance I have at a true mother-son bond and- why is she doing this to me? I mean- why is she keeping me away from my son? What right does she have?
Deacon: Hello? She is finn’s wife. You know, wives try and tell their husbands what to do.
Sheila: Well, at least one of us can crack a bad joke.
Deacon: Hey. Hey, I’m sorry. Okay? I know how painful this is for you. I’m not trying to be obnoxious or, you know, take it lightly.
Sheila: Really? You really feel bad for me?
Deacon: Sure.
Sheila: Then help me, deacon.
Deacon: Sheila. What is it you think I can do?
Sheila: There’s gotta be something. You are – you’re close to the forresters.
Deacon: I’m close to the forresters? Most of them hate me!
Sheila: Closer than I am.
Deacon: Sheila, that’s not saying much. What is it that you think I can do to benefit you?
Sheila: Great minds. Great minds. Okay, maybe we can – we can convince steffy to let finn think for himself, make his own decisions because I know he wants me in his life. I know he wants me to know hayes. And I would if it weren’t for the guard dog keeping me from my own son. And, and why? What have I ever done to her?
Deacon: You mean besides shooting her mother?
Sheila: I never shot steffy.
Deacon: I know, people get so touchy when you try and target one of their family members for murder.
Sheila: You know what? Trust me, if I wanted taylor dead, she’d be dead.
Deacon: Okay, see? Right there. You say things like that. Crazy things that come out of your mouth. And then you wonder why no one invites you over for book club meetings.
Sheila: You know what? I didn’t know that I had to censor myself here in front of you, and you can’t take anything seriously that I’m saying. I’m upset!
Deacon: All right. All right. I get it. I get it, all right? Best advice: Stop pushing. Stop. Just let me get closer to brooke and hope.
Sheila: That didn’t take long, did it? You just can’t stop thinking about brooke, brooke, brooke!
Hope: You two have been terrific, the way you welcomed us into your home and the kids were able to take advantage of this beautiful property.
Brooke: Well, there’s no reason to change that. Ridge and I will work this out.
Hope: Well, ridge doesn’t want my dad around, and I do, and I don’t really see a way to resolve that.
Brooke: Okay, well. We’ll just find a way to compromise, right? But what we don’t do is kick somebody out the second there is a disagreement. We’re all family here. And I love that you guys have been here on the property. Watching beth and douglas grow and change every single day. And I am not going to let that blessing just go away because of all this conflict and dissent. So, what we need to do is work together on this. Okay? You guys aren’t leaving. You’re staying right here.
Steffy: I don’t mean to go off about sheila, it’s just-
Finn: No, honey, you don’t need to explain. I mean, the thought of sheila in our lives triggers memories of the awful things she’s done to your family in the past.
Steffy: Well, she doesn’t get a chance to do that again.
Finn: I get it.
Steffy: Gosh, there’s just so many women out there that could have been your birth mom, why did it have to be sheila carter?
Finn: I’m gonna need to get to work.
Steffy: Ah, we’re okay?
Finn: Always.
Steffy: What?
Thomas: I just hope that sheila isn’t creating friction in your marriage.
Steffy: I’m not going to give her the satisfaction.
Thomas: Well, good. You shouldn’T.
Steffy: What, did you sense something weird between finn and me?
Thomas: It would make sense for finn to be feeling a way about the situation, maybe an involuntary pull toward his mother.
Steffy: Yeah, things are complicated right now, but we’re working through it. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about dad and brooke.
Thomas: Deacon?
Steffy: Yeah.
Deacon: Okay, I think I’m going to get going.
Sheila: Am I boring you?
Deacon: Sheila, you are a lot of things, but boring ain’t one of them. Dangerous, now we’re talking.
Sheila: A little bit of danger can be exciting.
Deacon: Yeah, well, it can also wreck your life. Case in point, exhibit A. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.
Sheila: Yeah. And you’ve been playing it safe ever since.
Deacon: Well, I don’t it if I’d say that.
Sheila: That’s because you can’T. I know you, deacon sharpe, and you are drawn to the dark side. Just like me. Here. You’re still hungry, why don’t you take a bite?
Deacon: You sound like a witch.
Sheila: Good witch or bad witch?
Deacon: Take a guess.
Sheila: Maybe a little bit of both. Because when I’m bad, I’m very good. I can make you forget all about brooke logan.
Deacon: I think now you’re giving yourself a little too much credit.
Sheila: Yeah, well, now who’s joking, huh? Because I wouldn’t take you on a bet.
Deacon: Hmm. Then how come you’re eyeing me like a plate of lamb chops?
Sheila: You mean looking at you the way brooke does in your dreams?
Ridge: You know, I’m not trying to be the bad guy here.
Liam: And neither am I. But brooke, you – I mean, you just said that you wanted to find a compromise. Right? Well, this, us moving out is the compromise.
Ridge: We’re protecting you.
Hope: Well, I don’t need protection from my own dad, and neither does my mom.
Ridge: I couldn’t disagree more.
Hope: Fine. And that is your right to feel that way. Just as it is my right to choose to have a relationship with my father and I get it. I get that I might open myself up to more of the same with deacon, that I might get hurt. But I happen to believe that he’s changed.
Ridge: Well, that’s fantastic, because that is exactly what he needs.
Hope: You don’t know him as well as I know.
Ridge: No, I know him better than you! I know what he’s capable of, especially now that he’s convinced you that he’s a changed man.
Brooke: Ridge, I know this isn’t what you want, but I can’t! I can’t throw my daughter and her family out of their own home. I can’t do it.
Hope: Mom, are you sure?
Brooke: Yes. Yes, I’m sure. Ridge and I will work this out as we always do. Right, ridge? But honey, you live here. You’re going to stay here right where you belong.
Hope: Thank you, mom.
Brooke: Yeah.
Hope: Thanks.
Brooke: Of course. Nyquil severe gives you powerful relief
Deacon: I know what brooke and I had.
Sheila: Mm, well, it must have been pretty special for her to betray her own daughter and to think that that’s the woman that looks down her nose at me. But you know what? If I squint really hard, I can see what it was that made brooke fall from grace. I mean, you’re sexy in a sleazy sort of way. And that’s coming from a woman that needs her eyes examined.
Deacon: Yeah, you’re such a sweet talker.
Sheila: It’s not going to work on her anymore.
Deacon: You know what? Never say never. You know, with ridge acting out, threatening to throw hope off the property. I’m telling you what, that’s not going to go well. And brooke is warming up to me, gradually, but she is warming up to me, and that is going to drive ridge insane.
Sheila: Well, you may have caused a little bump in the road for brooke and ridge, but still a long ways from her being mrs. Deacon sharpe.
Brooke: Is everything okay with liam? He left here pretty quickly.
Hope: Yeah, he’s just meeting up with bill.
Brooke: How badly is this deacon situation coming between you?
Hope: Well uh he’s not happy that I’m letting my dad in and he feels the same as ridge, that he can’t be trusted and he shouldn’t be around the kids.
Brooke: How do you feel about that?
Hope: That is an overreaction, because I know my father would never hurt our kids. But, you know, one step at a time. Right now we’re just working on him being okay with my decision, something that, unfortunately, ridge does not seem to be able to do. I’m, I’m so sorry.
Brooke: Honey, I don’t want you worrying about ridge and me.
Hope: Um, how can I not? Because he just slammed out of here.
Brooke: Yeah, I wish he didn’t do that. But you know, he’ll come back and we’ll work through the tension. Just like we always do.
Steffy: Deacon’s showing up again, worming his way back into hope’s life. It’s been really hard on dad.
Thomas: It has to be. Look, deacon is like the worst part of brooke’s history. The only good thing to come out of it was hope.
Steffy: I don’t understand this. This weakness to deacon. He abandoned her and dad was there for her, dad was the father figure. He loved her and raised her, and instead of standing by him, she’s standing by that loser.
Thomas: Do you ever think about what it could have been like for us?
Steffy: Like, if dad chose our family instead of brooke? Yeah, think about that a lot.
Thomas: Dad.
Steffy: What, what’s wrong?
Ridge: I can’t do this, not for another minute, I’m sorry.
Steffy: What happened?
Ridge: So, I told hope if she wants to hang out with deacon, she’s going to have to do it somewhere else. Take your kids, your husband and move off the property.
Steffy: You kicked hope out?
Thomas: Brooke couldn’t have been happy about that.
Ridge: No, she said that it was her house and hope isn’t going anywhere.
Steffy: Let me guess, hope refused to see your concerns.
Ridge: I don’t get it. Brooke knows exactly who deacon was, and he hasn’t changed. But she won’t listen to me.
Steffy: Brooke and hope are asking way too much of you.
Thomas: Yeah, I mean, I don’t get it. So, so why wouldn’t she get rid of deacon after everything that he’s done? You’re supposed to, what? Just welcome him into the family or what?
Steffy: I know brooke is your wife, but we’re your kids and we really understand what you’re going through.
Ridge: Appreciate that.
Steffy: And we’re not the only ones who would think that way. I’ve been talking to mom recently and she wants to come back, but I think something’s keeping her away or like someone.
Ridge: Who?
Steffy: Brooke. I think it’s hard for mom to see the two of you together. And I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I keep hoping that you’re going to wake up and realize brooke isn’t worth it. You have another family, a family who loves and supports you. That’s me, thomas and mom.
