Martin: Hello, gorgeous. I’m back.

Lucy: [ Sniffs ]

Martin: Little hot for all that fur, isn’t it?

Lucy: Mm-hmm. Sure is. And it’s about to get a whole lot hotter.

Valentin: I know the deal, and I will do what has to be done, no matter what it costs me.

Sonny: I’m sorry. Is this seat taken?

Nina: It is now.

Sonny: [ Sighs ]

Nina: [ Chuckles ]

Sonny: How you doing?

Nina: I’m doing alright. How are you doing?

Sonny: Girls’ night out? No?

Nina: No. Britt, she had a hard day, so…

Sonny: Oh, that’s going around.

Nina: Yeah, and Aunt Liesl, she actually just got a better offer, and I wasn’t ready to go home yet.

Sonny: I’m glad you stayed.

Nina: Yeah, me, too. But, actually, I’m surprised that you did.

Sonny: What do you mean?

Nina: Sonny, you haven’t spoken to Michael tonight?

Sonny: No. Why?

Nina: Then you don’t know.

Sonny: Know what?

Carly: Has there been an update?

Willow: My mom woke up, so I take it as a good sign.

Carly: Yeah, yeah, that’s positive, yeah.

Michael: Yeah, we’re — we’re hopeful.

Willow: Dr. Ashford’s in with her now, taking her off the respirator, so she must be getting stronger. Maybe I won’t lose my mother after all. How is she?

Maxie: I want to see you tomorrow.

Austin: Good.

Maxie: But Georgie and James, they have activities, and I need to bake or throw myself at the mercy of Eckert’s for four dozen cupcakes, which will most likely clean them out.

Austin: Maxie, it’s okay. If you don’t want to hang out tomorrow night, that’s — just say so.

Maxie: I do want to hang out tomorrow night. I do not want to ask my parents to babysit two nights in a row. And I don’t want to have you over and run the risk of my kids having a meltdown on you.

Austin: Okay, you don’t need to convince me of anything, really, but it does sound like you’re trying to convince yourself a little bit.

Maxie: Of what?

Austin: Well, that, you’re busy, that you’re too busy. But it’s okay. Maybe just, you know, two nights in a row is too much too soon.

[ Phone clatters ]

Elizabeth: What was that?

Finn: It’s okay. It’s okay.

Elizabeth: Oh. [ Chuckles ]

Finn: You just knocked something over. You knocked over your phone.

Elizabeth: I’m sorry. I got a little carried away. [ Chuckles ]

Finn: It’s alright. I like when you get carried away. I’m all for it.

Elizabeth: Being here with you, not thinking about the house or being scared, it feels really nice.

Finn: I’m glad you feel safe here.

Elizabeth: ‘Cause I’m with you.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Elizabeth: Oh. I’m sorry.

[ Both chuckle ]

Elizabeth: It’s Cameron. Just be a second. Hold on. Hi. Yeah, I’m okay. Finn’s here, so you don’t have to worry about me.

Maxie: Maybe you’re right. Going out two nights in a row doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. Or at least it wasn’t before I had kids. I’m not going to say, “I’m a different person now,” but I am still me. I’m just me with a lot less free time.

Austin: I get it.

Maxie: Really?

Austin: [ Chuckles ] No, not — not — not really, but… okay, what I’m about to say — I am in no way equating medical school with being a parent. Okay. But, you know, medical school’s really time-consuming, and everybody tells you that, you know, and you think you understand that, but you don’t at all until you’re in the middle of it, and then you realize that it’s been weeks since you had a minute to yourself so you could lay down in the grass and look at the sky. Time-wasting becomes a memory and spontaneity a thing of the past.

Maxie: Very perceptive.

Austin: Thanks. I’m super smart.

Maxie: [ Chuckles ] And very true. I used to be a spontaneous person. Probably too impulsive. It got me into trouble a few times.

Austin: I’ll bet. You miss that?

Maxie: Certain aspects of it. But I wouldn’t trade the life I have now for that in a million years. And something like going out one night and having a really good time just so I could do it again the next night? That doesn’t seem practical.

Austin: Mm-hmm.

Maxie: And that defines the difference. Now, when I think about going out, I have to figure out if it’s practical or not.

Austin: Right. Maxie, if this were just about time management, that would not be a problem. That’s okay. But it does seem to me like you’re just looking for an excuse to push me away.

Lucy: I will forgive you your long, long absences if you promise to greet me like this every time you return.

Martin: Well, I would’ve been back a lot sooner, if at all possible.

Lucy: [ Chuckles ] So, how’s your mom?

Martin: Mother’s fine. Could we not discuss her while we’re naked?

Lucy: [ Chuckles ] Point taken.

Lucy: Did I tell you how much I really, really, really missed you?

Martin: Oh, I think you just did, and the feeling’s mutual. But I am sorry that I missed your big deception IPO launch.

Lucy: Oh, me, too, because it was an amazing experience. It would’ve been a lot better if you had been there. You know, I just was not sure how lucrative the IPO was going to be.

Martin: Oh, yes, you were.

Lucy: Yes, I was.

[ Both laugh ]

Lucy: And it was so glorious to be proven right. And you know what the other best part is?

Martin: Mm?

Lucy: Well, besides oodles and oodles of nice cash.

Martin: There is that.

Lucy: We can stop hiding our relationship.

Martin: I don’t think Valentin would be any more open to the idea of me being seen with his wildly successful business partner.

Lucy: Who cares? Fire him as a client. You don’t need him. I am very rich.

Martin: Why, Lucy Coe, are you suggesting that I become a kept man?

Lucy: [ Chuckles ] Okay, look at it this way. I am going to be hobnobbing with the rich and the powerful, and I’m going to be able to just throw clients, all types of other clients, right your way.

Martin: That is a gracious and generous offer, but I like to be in control of my own financial destiny, not to mention my personal life.

Lucy: Okay, let’s just hold on for a minute. So if this isn’t about the money, then why the hesitation? Do you — do you have a problem with us going public with our relationship?

Nina: I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you know Harmony, Willow’s mother. Well, Sonny, she got into a terrible accident. She’s in the ICU right now. She — she may not make it. Willow and Michael, they’re, I’m sure, at G.H., And I’m certain I wouldn’t be welcome, but I think maybe you should be there.

Sonny: No. I don’t think I’m welcome, either.

TJ: Your mother is breathing on her own. She’s — she’s getting supplemental oxygen, and she’s in and out of consciousness, which is to be expected. Your mom is still in critical condition. We had to cut her surgery short because she’s hypotensive. So hopefully she improves through the night, and we can go back in tomorrow and complete the surgery.

Willow: Can I see her?

Michael: It might help Harmony to hear Willow’s voice again.

TJ: That’s true. I never doubt the power of a mother’s love, so you can go in alone. And, Willow, it’s vital that your mom remains calm because any stress could cause a setback that — that she might not recover from.

Maxie: I am not pushing you away. That being said, I did just spend the last year of my life in abject fear of Peter. So, yes, I might be extra cautious about getting close to somebody new. I also might be misreading red flags and green flags and checkered flags. I’m really out of practice.

Austin: That’s a lot of flags.

Maxie: [ Chuckles ]

Austin: Maxie, the last thing I want to do is replace Peter in your life as a source of dread.

Maxie: No, you’re nothing like Peter, and I definitely don’t dread spending time with you.

Austin: Thank you for saying both of those things. But maybe you’re just starting to realize that it’s too soon to start something new.

Lucy: Wearing disguises and slinking around in hotel rooms has been very, very titillating. I’ve loved it. But I think it’s time to ditch the wigs and put our relationship on blast. Unless, of course, you really don’t want to be seen with me.

Martin: No, no. Lucy, that’s not it at all. Having you on my arm would definitely be a source of pride. But that pride would dissipate if I felt I was beholden ’cause you were paying my way. I mean, call me a neanderthal, but that’s just the way I feel.

Lucy: You, sir, are not a neanderthal. You are a gentleman, and it’s very, very charming. It’s just, it would be so nice to eat out sometimes instead of always ordering room service.

Martin: You know, you’re right. I mean, I’m never going to take your money, but I think I am done kowtowing to Valentin.

Lucy: Do you… you really mean that?

Martin: Hell yeah. If he doesn’t like the idea of the two of us together, well, that’s just too bad.

Lucy: [ Chuckles ]

Martin: ‘Cause I can always find another client. I just don’t think I could find another you.

Sonny: Michael and I had a fight, and things were said that can’t be forgotten.

Nina: Or forgiven?

Sonny: It’s over. We’re done. You can’t really get over this, you know, right?

Nina: Sonny, I don’t believe that. I know how much you love Michael. Sonny, there has to be some hope for reconciliation.

Sonny: My son disrespected me, and that’s something I can’t easily forgive.

Nina: Those are tough words.

Sonny: Yeah.

Nina: But I know how painful this is for you.

Sonny: Okay, so you know me.

Nina: Mm-hmm.

Sonny: It’s strange to me that Michael and Willow are going through a big life, you know, event. They don’t know if Harmony’s going to live or die, and nobody can pick up the phone to just give me a call. It’s not — you know, I know it’s not my… it’s not my place, so… speaking of place, this place looks like it’s going to be cleared pretty soon, right?

Nina: Mm.

Sonny: And then it’s just going to be [Chuckles] The two of us.

Willow: Dr. Ashford says you’re doing great. Keep it up, okay? Don’t push yourself. Rest. I’ll be right here whenever you wake up.

[ Monitor beeping ]

Willow: I don’t understand what happened tonight, but I want you to know, whatever it was, we’ll get through it together. I love you, Mom.

Michael: Thanks again for letting Willow go in there.

TJ: I know what it’s like waiting for your mom. You know, all that detached medical training, it just goes out the window.

Carly: You were great with Willow.

TJ: Thanks. I’ll be back.

Carly: [ Sighs ]

[ Beeping continues ]

Willow: Mom. Hi. Hi. It’s okay. I’m here. You’re going to be okay.

Harmony: What…?

Willow: Um, there was an accident. You were hit by a car, but you’re at G.H. Right now, and they are taking really good care of you.

[ Beeping quickens ]

Willow: Mom, are you in pain? I’ll get the nurse.

Harmony: [ Weakly ] No, Willow. [ Sighs ] I’m so sorry.

[ Beeping continues ]

Finn: Okay, sweetheart, I love you. Yeah, I love Uncle Chase, too. Sure, you can tell him. Alright. Good night. I’ll see you in the morning.

Elizabeth: Okay, then let’s just talk in the morning, alright? I love you. Bye. Hm.

Finn: Cam okay? Still staying in his friend’s dorm room?

Elizabeth: Oh, yeah, he’s fine. Chase and Violet having a good time?

Finn: They’re camped out in the living room as we speak.

Elizabeth: Do you remember when we went camping?

Finn: We should do it again. I like camping with you.

Elizabeth: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone chimes ]

Elizabeth: Oh, I’m so sorry.

[ Both chuckle ]

Elizabeth: I’m sure it’s another kid. Yeah, it’s Aiden. Oh. He’s still asking about franco’s ghost. I should call him.

Finn: Yeah. Yeah, you should. I understand. Um, I’m going to go, but, um… I’m right next door. Just bang on the wall if you need me.

Elizabeth: [ Bangs on wall ] [ Chuckles ]

Finn: [ Sighs ]

Elizabeth: Oh, you know what? You, um, take this extra key in case, you know, I bang on the wall in the middle of the night.

Finn: Okay. Hey. Do me a favor. Latch this door anyway, okay?

Elizabeth: Okay.

Finn: You are so beautiful.

Elizabeth: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone ringing ]

Elizabeth: Hey, I was just going to call you, but you beat me to it. Yeah, I’m okay. How about you? What have you guys been up to?

Lucy: Are you sure tonight is the night for us to go public?

Martin: It’s overdue. You and I have been hiding out too long.

Lucy: [ Exhales sharply, chuckles ]

Valentin: Martin. You’re back. Looking cozy with my business associate. Hello, Lucy Coe. How are you?

Lucy: Cozy. We’re dating.

Valentin: You don’t say.

Maxie: Well, you make a valid point. Between transitioning Bailey into my family, juggling the schedule of three kids with my work schedule, and the IPO, and getting out of the havoc Peter wreaked in my life, I mean, a new relationship is the last thing I should be thinking about.

Austin: Okay. Mm. There you have it. Look, Maxie, I’m not… I don’t want to rush you into anything. I don’t want you to do anything you don’t want to do. And we started as friends. We can just go back to being friends.

Maxie: To hell with that.

Nina: Thank you. Are you still drinking club soda?

Sonny: I told you, I’m cutting back on my drinking.

Nina: That’s so great. And how do you feel?

Sonny: I feel great. Workout’s incredible, and my energy is…

Nina: [ Chuckling ] Oh, boy, watch out. Well, I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself, because… I want you around for a very long time.

Sonny: Are you going to make my sticking around worth it?

Nina: I’ll do my best.

Michael: That’s not dinner.

TJ: Well, it’s portable, and theoretically more nutritious than potato chips, so… How’s Willow holding up?

Michael: She’s still in there with Harmony. My mom’s in the waiting room in case she comes out.

TJ: Good.

Michael: Willow knows about Alexis and my mom, by the way.

TJ: That’s got to make this even harder for her. I understand having a difficult relative that you’re not sure about letting into your life completely. You and Willow both have my sympathy.

Michael: How do you do that? How do you — how do you genuinely care about someone who tried to kill Molly’s mom?

TJ: First of all, I took an oath about doing no harm, but beyond that, it comes down to humanity. People who do bad things, people who we don’t like, are still people. So it’s not my job to judge, Michael. It’s my job to heal. And if I ever cross that line, it’s time to put down my stethoscope.

Michael: You’re a better man than I am.

TJ: Uh, don’t give me too much credit. I feel things. Oh, I feel things. But I have to do my part. As for Harmony, so far, she’s proven to be a fighter. So if she gets through this, I’ll have done my part, and she’ll have to ultimately face the consequences of her actions.

Michael: Yeah, but, I mean, would that — would that really be for the best, right? I’m thinking of Willow.

TJ: I hear you, I hear you. But isn’t it better if Willow has the chance to talk to Harmony about what happened rather than Harmony dying with all her questions left unanswered?

Willow: Mom, Mom. Y-you have to stay calm, okay? Do you need me to get a doctor?

Harmony: No.

[ Monitor beeping rapidly ]

Harmony: Willow… I love you.

Willow: I love you, too, Mom.

Harmony: I loved being your mom.

Willow: I’m glad we’ve reconnected, but we have — we have more memories to make.

Harmony: Wiley?

Willow: Yes, yes. Wiley he loves his grandma, and that’s why you have to get better. So you can make a bunch of memories with Wiley.

Harmony: Won’t.

Willow: “Won’t” what, Mom? Look at me. Listen. You will see Wiley again. All you have to do is rest. We’ll — we’ll figure everything out. We’ll find a way to make it better.

Harmony: HI have to… [ Breathes shakily ] Have to — have to tell… [ Beeping continues ]

Elizabeth: [ Sighs ] Oh, no. Finn. Finn!

[ Door beeps ]

Elizabeth: Finn.

Finn: Oh. Hey, hey. Are you alright? What happened? I don’t know. I was in the shower. I didn’t even hear anything. What’s going on? Why is this happening?

Carly: “Harmony suffers from intense guilt about the child”?

Harmony: Those are private. Give them to me.

Carly: “Harmony rationalizes keeping the child.”

Harmony: This is all lies. Neil Byrne was a drug addict. Give it to me.

Carly: No. This is what you meant about Willow not being yours. That’s what you’re doing here, right? You’re burning papers that prove that Willow isn’t your biological daughter.

Harmony: [ Grunts ]

Carly: Oh!

Michael: Mom.

Carly: Hey. [ Sighs ] Those for me?

Michael: Yeah.

Michael: So what’s got you so distracted?

Carly: I was just remembering when Harmony attacked me.

Michael: Yeah, I was just talking to TJ about that. He’s got this Hippocratic oath to help clarify things, but I don’t think I can ever forgive Harmony now. Thank God you’re okay.

Carly: I am. Sore. But I’m okay.

[ Both sigh ]

Michael: I know — I know that Harmony’s Willow’s mom, but I can’t help but think that she’s better off without her.

Carly: This is going to be really difficult for Willow.

Michael: Even if Harmony survives, she’s going to be facing criminal charges. Yeah, it’s hard when a parent betrays your love.

Carly: Does Sonny know about this? Did you tell him what’s going on?

Michael: Nah, I don’t intend to.

Carly: Michael, hey. No matter what happened between Sonny and me, I want you to have a relationship with your father. It’s important.

Michael: As you know, he put Nina first — ahead of you, ahead of his whole family. So I don’t want his support. I wouldn’t take it even if it was offered. I don’t want anything from him.

Martin: Valentin, I am proud to confirm that miss Lucy and i are indeed keeping company. However, I can assure you that my clients are never subject to pillow talk, and you can rely on the same discreet service that you’ve always receive from me.

Valentin: Yeah? And what if I still feel uncomfortable with my lawyer and my close business associate becoming involved?

Martin: Then I’ll be very sorry to see you go, but I cannot allow anyone to dictate my personal life.

TJ: Oh, my God. This is Dr. Ashford. Page Dr. Carter for me, stat. You need to go. Now.

Willow: Mom, it’s okay. It’s okay. You’re going to be okay. You just need to sleep, heal. Wiley and I will be here waiting for you, okay?

TJ: You feeling anxious?

Willow: She was trying to tell me something, and her telemetry spiked. Carly, whatever it is, just tell me, please.

Willow: She said that she loves me and she’s sorry. She wanted to say more, but she was getting upset. Maybe she remembered what she’d done to you and Alexis? In the chapel, you told me what happened but not why. That’s what I can’t understand.

Carly: Okay, Willow, there will be plenty of time to talk about this. I promise you that. But right now, you need to focus on your mother.

TJ: So I just spoke with the attending physician, Dr. Carter, and he agreed that your mom only needs a sedative. So I’ve administered it, and she’s resting now.

Willow: Did I cause that because she was trying to talk to me?

TJ: No, no, your mom’s condition remains critical, and, right now, it’s most important she rest.

Michael: Let’s go for a walk, okay? Get some fresh air.

Willow: No, I’ll be okay.

Carly: Hey, a walk and some air can do wonders, so go with Michael, and I will let you know if your mom wakes up. I promise.

Willow: Okay, then.

Michael: Okay. Come on.

Carly: [ Sighs ] God. Willow thinks Harmony remembers what happened on Rana Point. Maybe that’s why she’s so upset.

TJ: Well, if that’s the case, that is another good sign cognitively. Right now, the most urgent concern is how much damage her body sustained when the car hit her.

[ Pager beeps ]

Carly: [ Sighs ]

TJ: Excuse me. I have to consult with Dr. Carter.

[ Monitor beeping steadily ]

Valentin: You make a handsome couple. I wish you both the best.

Martin: Then you’re still on my client roster?

Valentin: I hope so. Near the top. I’m happy for you both.

Lucy: [ Giggles ] Uh, thank you, partner. I promise you it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

Valentin: I will continue to be happy if I can count on your support at ELQ.

Lucy: Well, under your leadership, ELQ has certainly prospered, so I don’t have any plans of withdrawing my support at all.

Maxie: Georgie, what are you doing out of bed?

Georgie: I can’t sleep. I’m hungry.

Austin: I should go.

Maxie: Oh.

Georgie: Yes.

Maxie: Wait. Uh, Georgie, please be nice to my friend, Austin.

Austin: No, it’s — it’s — it’s — it’s no big deal. I totally understand. And Georgie didn’t expect to see me here when she woke up.

Maxie: Right. I do need to get this girl back to bed.

Georgie: No.

Austin: I definitely need to go.

Elizabeth: I got out of the shower and found everything just like this.

Rory: And you heard nothing?

Elizabeth: No, nothing. And the room was empty.

Finn: I didn’t see anyone in the corridor when I ran over. I was right next door.

Rory: Was the door open or closed?

Elizabeth: I-I don’t — I don’t know. I don’t remember.

Finn: It was closed and locked. I had to use my key.

Rory: And, uh, what about the security latch?

Elizabeth: Oh, God. Aiden called me. I got distracted. I don’t think I latched it.

Finn: Someone with a key card could have entered.

Willow: Well, I definitely took a breath of fresh air, and you’re right, it helped, but I don’t want to be too far from the ICU.

Michael: Hey, I understand. [ Sighs ] Can I, um… can I get you anything? Water? Anything from the cafeteria?

Willow: Just stay with me.

Michael: I’m not going anywhere.

Willow: I keep wondering what my mom was trying to tell me. Why did she attack Carly and Alexis? It doesn’t make any sense. I keep turning over all kinds of scenarios.

Michael: Hey, hey, hey, hey. Don’t — don’t do that, okay? You’re going to drive yourself crazy. Look, we can’t know what we don’t know until we do.

Willow: Michael, did Carly say anything more to you about what happened tonight?

[ Monitor beeping ]

Harmony: You tell?

Carly: Willow knows that you tried to kill me and Alexis, but she doesn’t know why. She doesn’t know that you’re not her birth mother. I didn’t hold back for you. I held back for Willow’s sake because she’s got a hell of a lot going on right now. But she deserves to know the truth.

Maxie: I’m sorry we got interrupted just when things were getting interesting.

Finn: Hey. Anything?

Rory: I reviewed the security footage at the time of the incident. Unfortunately, this room is out of the camera’s range, but I did confirm that nobody entered or exited the elevator on this floor or used the stairs.

Finn: Okay, that’s, uh — that’s Elizabeth’s phone. Can I take this to her?

Rory: Sure.

Finn: Okay. What about the vacant rooms, alright? You’ll check those, too, right? I mean, the intruder could be hiding in one of them.

Rory: They’re currently being checked.

Willow: [ Scoffs ] But why?

Michael: I don’t know.

Willow: Well, your mom does.

Michael: [ Sighs ] Yes, and she’ll tell you, okay? She will. But Willow, knowing right now, whatever it is, it’s not going to change anything. We just — we have to wait. And I get it. Waiting is torture, but… sometimes it’s best not to know, at least in the short term. That way you can just focus on what’s right in front of you, and that is that Harmony’s in critical condition, and that’s scary, right, but she’s made it this far, she loves you, and she’s going to get through this. Maybe that is all that matters.

Harmony: [ Weakly ] Willow.
