Carly: Hello. Willow? Hello? Willow, are you there?
[ Cellphone rings ]
Carly: Hey, Diane, whatâs up?
Diane: Iâm at the PCPD. Michaelâs been arrested.
Carly: What?
Diane: He punched a reporter in front of commissioner Ashford.
Carly: Oh, why?
Diane: Well, apparently, said reporter was asking some not-so-polite questions about Josslynâs leaked video.
Carly: [ Sighs ] Iâm on my way.
Sonny: Hey, Shawn.
Shawn: Hey, Sonny. How you doing, man?
Sonny: Whatâs going on?
Shawn: [ Chuckles ] Hey.
Sonny: I was, uh â I waâ Olivia sent me some dinner, and I was just going to, you know, thank her.
Shawn: Well, Iâm just meeting, uh, TJ, Molly, and Jordan. Have a seat.
Sonny: Okay.
Shawn: Of course, theyâre off saving the world, and Iâm the first one here, soâŠ
Sonny: Donât sell yourself short. You turned The Invader from a scandal rag to a legitimate publication.
Shawn: [ Chuckles ]
Sonny: So, Kristina says that you hired Alexis?
Shawn: That I did.
Sonny: Make a good team?
Shawn: Yes, I thought so.
Alexis: [ Sighs ]
[ Monitor beeps ]
[ Knock on door ]
Smoltz: Good. Youâre still here.
Alexis: You know, itâs customary to ask, âIs this a good time?â And, by the way, the answer would be no, Smoltz. So why donât you come back tomorrow morning? Better yet, e-mail me.
Smoltz: Sorry, this is too good. Iâve got a story that is perfect for The Invader, trust me. Youâre not going to want to miss out.
Diane: I spoke to Carly. She should be here soon.
Michael: She should be focused on Joss, not me.
Diane: I am doing everything I can to get justice for your sister. Just so you know, this doesnât help.
Michael: I know.
Diane: Unfortunately, because of the time, youâre probably going to be arraigned tomorrow. So unless this Smoltz decides to drop the charges, you are in here for the night.
Michael: Well, wouldnât be the first time.
Diane: You sound exactly like Jason.
Michael: How many times you been through this drill with him?
Diane: [ Chuckles ] Well, Iâd have to check my records, but we were in the triple digits.
Michael: Well, you know what? You always found a way to make him walk in the end, though.
Diane: Yes, but to the best of my recollection, Jason never punched a reporter in front of the police commissioner.
Jordan: Mr. Corinthos, youâll be transferred to holding soon.
Michael: Can I ask you a question?
Jordan: Sure.
Michael: What are you doing to catch the bastard who ruined my sisterâs life?
Harmony: Phyllis, itâs good to see you again. I had no idea you were in Port Charles.
Phyllis: Itâs a relatively new development.
Nina: I forgot that you used to go by the name Lorraine.
Harmony: Another lifetime.
Nina: So, um, get a chair. Join us? How do you guys know each other?
Phyllis: We worked together in New York City. Well, technically not with each other. She cared for another patient in the same building where I cared for you.
Harmony: Nina was your patient? You were such a stickler for privacy, I never knew.
Phyllis: So how do you know Nina?
Nina: Well, Harmony is Willowâs mother. You know, Willow, right?
Phyllis: Of course, she adopted Wiley. What a small world.
TJ: Hey! Willow. Willow. Can you hear me?
TJ: Youâre still with us. Come on. Come on, wake up. Willow. Willow. Hey. Hey, can you talk to me? Itâs Dr. Ashford.
Willow: TJ?
TJ: Do you remember anything? Here.
Willow: Uh, no. No, itâs all fuzzy.
TJ: Okay, can you follow the light? Good. You look alright, but Iâm still admitting you.
Willow: No.
TJ: Yes. Can I call someone for you?
Willow: My mom. You can call my mom.
TJ: Okay.
Nina: So how was your visit with Lennyâs friend?
[ Cellphone rings ]
Phyllis: It was nice. Always good to hear old stories.
[ Both chuckle ]
Nina: Yeah, it is. I bet.
Harmony: Excuse me. Hi, honey.
TJ: This is Dr. Ashford at general hospital. Your daughter fainted on site. Iâll be admitting her.
Harmony: Oh, my god. Okay, okay, thank you. Iâll be right there. Uh, Iâm so sorry, but I have to go.
Nina: Um, Harmony, is everything okay?
Harmony: Iâll think about what you proposed and let you know.
Phyllis: UhâŠ
[ Door closes ]
Diane: Will you let me handle this, please? Well?
Jordan: You know how this works, Diane. I canât disclose details of an ongoing investigation.
Diane: Ah, so there is an investigation.
Michael: Sheâs my sister, Commissioner.
Jordan: I only recently learned about this. Soon as we get something more concrete, Iâll let Josslyn know.
Carly: Hey. Hi. Are you okay?
Michael: Yeah, yeah, Iâm fine. Howâs Josslyn?
Carly: Sheâs hanging in there. Look, I got a weird phone call from Willow. Does she know youâre here?
Michael: Yeah, she was there when the whole thing happened.
Carly: I guess Iâll just text her.
Michael: Why didnât you tell me about Joss?
Carly: I was going to. I didnât have a chance.
Michael: Iâm afraid that reporterâs going to make things worse for her.
Carly: Well, who the hell is this guy?
Jordan: Freelance. Heâs written several articles for The Invader.
Carly: Pre- or post-Shawn?
Jordan: Pre.
Carly: Well, thatâs good. Maybe Alexis will be able to shut it down. Diane, can you please take care of him?
Diane: Of course.
Carly: Thank you. I love you.
Michael: Love you.
Carly: Alright. Excuse me.
[ Door opens, closes ]
TJ: Willow passed out.
Willow: Iâm â Iâm fine.
Epiphany: We will let a doctor be a judge of that.
TJ: I texted Dr. Nelson that I was bringing her down to admit her.
Epiphany: Okay, well, I will put her in an exam room and check her vitals while we wait.
Willow: [ Sighs ] I need to know how Michael is doing. Wait, do you have my phone?
TJ: Yeah.
Willow: Thank you. Heâs being held at the PCPD overnight? Oh, my God.
Epiphany: There is nothing that you can do for Michael if youâre not well.
Willow: But this is serious.
Epiphany: So is this. Now, what would you tell one of your patients, hmm?
Willow: I would advocate for them to take care of themselves first.
Epiphany: Good answer. Now, letâs go do just that.
Willow: [ Sighs ] Thank you for everything, really.
TJ: Of course. Keep me updated? Thanks.
Alexis: Well, like Iâve said, The Invader is not a tabloid, so if this is another one of your gossipy pitches, you can save us both the trouble.
Smoltz: I took your notes from our last meeting. This story checks all the boxes for the paperâs new mission. I even got this for my troubles. Yeah, thatâs how much I believe in it.
Alexis: Okay, go ahead. Letâs hear it.
Smoltz: First off, itâs got a hot-button social-justice angle â nonconsensual pornography, aka revenge porn. A video was sent out to the entire student body at PCU, even played on a projector in a classroom.
Alexis: Hopefully, by accident.
Smoltz: So, from there, weâve also got cyber bullying and technology run amok. Then thereâs the whole criminal aspect.
Alexis: Yeah, I know, Smoltz, yeah. Revenge porn has been illegal in New York state since 2019.
Smoltz: Correctamundo. And the cherry on top? It involves a very influential mob family.
Alexis: Ah, there it is. Drifting to the salacious territory. So do you have any facts to back up your claims this time?
Smoltz: Yeah. Michael Corinthos clocked me in the face when I tried to interview him.
Alexis: Oh, that influential mob family. Yeah. And one of the victims in this story is his sister, Josslyn Jacks.
Sonny: Is there a problem with Alexis?
Shawn: No. The Invaderâs a huge success because of her. I just meant she really doesnât need me to run it anymore. I acquired the West Coast newspapers to expand The Invaderâs reach, and I leave tomorrow for San Francisco to get everything started.
Sonny: Look at you. Bona fide media mogul.
Shawn: Ah, Iâm just a man who wanted a fresh start.
Sonny: Well, you got it. And you know what? Doesnât happen for everyone.
Shawn: I heard about the divorce. Iâm sorry.
Sonny: Yeah, so am I.
Shawn: Howâs the rest of the family doing?
Sonny: Oh, look who it is, the power couple.
Molly: Hi, Uncle Sonny.
Sonny: [ Chuckles ]
Molly: Hi.
TJ: Itâs good to see you.
Sonny:Â Yeah, you, too.
TJ: Did my dad tell you about his expanding media empire?
Sonny: Yeah, at length, actually.
[ Laughter ]
Shawn: Okay, okay, hold on. Iâm supposed to be bragging about you, out there saving lives. Look at you.
Molly: Oh, well, just another day, right, babe?
TJ: Bragging rights go both ways.
Molly: Hey, can you join us for dinner?
Sonny: No, no. I was just, uh â just going to pick up â whatever. It doesnât matter. Listen, have a â have a great time in San Francisco.
Shawn: Right.
Sonny: Enjoy your family.
Shawn: Thank you, my friend.
[ Cellphone rings ]
Sonny: Officer Bentley, what can I do for you? Whoa, whoa, wait. What about Michael?
Alexis: Are you sure itâs Joss in the video?
Smoltz: With her boyfriend, Cameron Webber.
Alexis: They must be horrified.
Smoltz: So what do you say?
Alexis: I admit itâs better than the other stories that youâve pitched me. But if youâre really in line with the new direction that The Invader is taking, why did Michael clock you?
Smoltz: I may have raised the possibility that his sister and her boyfriend put up the video themselves.
Alexis: You provoked the victimâs family by sensationalizing the story? Do you see, Smoltz? Do you see why I would doubt your ability to report with accuracy?
Smoltz: [ Sighs ] Cards on the table?
Alexis: Please. I want the distinction of an Invader byline. Itâs held in high regard now. In return, you get a piece on a hot-button issue featuring a hot-button family. You know as well as I do the Corinthos name sells. So do we have a deal?
Carly: Iâd think twice about that.
Epiphany: [ Sighs ] Your B.P. Is low, and your respirations are shallow and rapid.
Willow: Well, Iâm â Iâm stressed about Michael and Josslyn. Thatâs â thatâs understandable, isnât it?
Epiphany: Have you eaten today? Mm-hmm. You donât have to be a nurse to know that stress and lack of nutrition is a bad combination. You need to take better care of yourself. Our patients do not need our nurses collapsing on them.
Willow: I know, I know. [ Sighs ] I am so embarrassed.
Epiphany: Weâve all been there. [ Chuckles ] [ Sighs ] I remember when I was a student nurse.   [ Chuckles] I once drank so much coffee, trying to stay awake during clinicals that I spent half my shift doubled over in pain in the break room. Worst stomach ache of my life. [ Laughs ]
Willow: I canât even imagine that. Youâre such an amazing nurse.
Epiphany: Sucking up to me is not going to get a doctor in here any faster.
[ Both chuckle ]
Epiphany: Iâm good at my job. I love what I do.
Willow: I really love it, too. Which surprised me. When I was teaching, I never thought Iâd do anything else. Did you always want to be a nurse?
Epiphany: Hm. No, actually. But, uh, nursingâs been good to me. I love caring for patients. It brings me joy.
Michael: [ Sighs ] What are you doing here?
Sonny: I heard you were arrested. You alright?
Michael: Iâm fine.
Sonny: Diane, can you get him out of here?
Diane: Well, thatâs the plan, but heâll be spending the night here unless I can work some magic with the D.A. So wish me luck.
[ Door opens ]
[ Door closes ]
Sonny: What happened?
Michael: Doesnât concern you.
Sonny: I know youâre upset, but I can help you.
Michael: I donât want your help. I donât need anything from you. Is that â is that clear enough?
Sonny: Alright, listen to me. I know weâve had our differences lately.
Michael: Differences? Is that what you call it?
Sonny: But youâre my son. I love you. Jordan giving you a hard time? Just tell me if she is.
Michael: Sheâs just doing her job. Look, I punched a reporter in the face right in front of her. She had no choice but to bring me in.
Sonny: Was it self-defense?
Michael: He was getting in my face about Josslyn, so I just â
Sonny: Whatâs going on with Josslyn?
Michael: I told you, it doesnât concern you.
Sonny: No, if it concerns Josslyn, it concerns me.
Michael: Really? See, I didnât think you cared about anything these days except for Nina.
Sonny: Okay, leave my personal life out of it. My family comes first. You know that.
Michael: No, no, dad, Nina comes first for you. And just for the record, Josslyn isnât your family anymore.
Nina: When Willow made it perfectly clear that she and Michael would not allow me to see Wiley, I figured it was time for me to get proactive. Thank you. So I threatened to sue for visitation rights.
Phyllis: I donât blame you, but I wish a court battle could be avoided.
Nina: Thank you. Yeah, you and me both. I donât want to put Wiley through that. Besides, Michael has proven that he is not above dirty tricks. I mean, whoâs to say heâs not going to pull something again and get that judge to rule against me?
Phyllis: So whatâs next?
Nina: Yeah, well, I thought I was going to talk to Harmony, which I did, and convince her to at least talk to Willow. And then maybe Willow could talk to Michael and convince him to let me be part of Wileyâs life.
Phyllis: Without getting the courts involved. Do you think she would do that?
Nina: I donât know. You know, originally I thought, âyeah, sheâs on board,â but you just saw right now she seemed pretty noncommittal, didnât she?
Phyllis: Iâm sure she just needs some time to think. When she does, sheâll realize that Wiley needs all of his grandmothers in his life.
Nina: Yeah. If only Michael and Willow would realize that, too.
Harmony: Thank you. What happened?
Willow: Uh, Michael was arrested.
Harmony: What? Why?
Willow: Iâll explain later. And I was too busy to eat today, so between that and the stress, I guess I passed out.
Harmony: I was so worried, terrified Iâd lose you after we worked so hard to find our way back.
Willow: Mom, youâre â youâre â youâre not going to lose me.
Harmony: Good. Because I love you, and Iâm so grateful that youâre in my life.
Willow: I love you too, mom.
Harmony: What did the doctor say?
Willow: I havenât, um, seen one yet.
Harmony: Then Iâm going to track one down.
Willow: Mom.
Harmony: Excuse me. Why hasnât my daughter been seen?
Epiphany: And your daughter is
Harmony: Willow Tait. This is unacceptable.
Epiphany: We have a lot of patients tonight, and the doctors need to prioritize who they believe needs urgent care first.
Harmony: Willow fainted. How is that not urgent? Is there someone who can move her up on the list?
Epiphany: Not above me. Iâm the head nurse.
Harmony: Thatâs perfect. You must have some decision- making power around here.
Epiphany: [ Sighs ] Youâre a mother worried about her child. And for that reason and that reason only, Iâm willing to make allowances, but youâre about to reach your limit.
Harmony: Please. My daughter has run herself ragged for your nursing program. There must be something you can do.
Shawn: So what are we thinking?
Molly: I canât decide between the tagliatelle and the sea bass.
TJ: Okay, uh, you get one, Iâll get the other, and we share.
Molly: Have I told you lately that you are brilliant?
Shawn: [ Chuckles ]
TJ: Uh, not today.
Molly: Oh, well, youâre brilliant.
[ Laughs ]
TJ: Thank you, baby.
Jordan: Hello.
Molly: Hi.
TJ: Hey.
Shawn: Aw, it is so good to have you home.
Jordan: Aw, good to see you, too.
Shawn: How you feel?
Jordan: Never better.
Shawn: Mm, mm. Well, you have been missed.
Jordan: Really? âCause Iâm trying not to take it personally that youâre leaving for San Francisco right when I get back.
TJ: Yeah, Dad, whatâs up with that?
Shawn: Just a business trip.
Jordan: Mm-hmm.
Shawn: Mm-hmm.
TJ: A long business trip.
Shawn: Come on, now, you canât rush this type of thing. I have to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Jordan: Okay, whereâs my hug?
TJ: Yep.
[ Jordan and Molly chuckle ]
Molly: Okay, okay, my turn. Do you think you can stand one more?
Jordan: Always.
Molly: [ Giggles ]
Jordan: I hear youâre doing great things at the D.A.âS office.
Molly: Yeah.
Jordan: Iâm excited we get to work together.
Molly: I know. Me, too. I mean, donât get me wrong, Mac is great, but everyone is so excited that youâre back.
Jordan: Mm, itâs almost like I never left.
Molly: Yeah.
Jordan: Except for this one skipping town on me.
[ Chuckles ]
Jordan: Hurry home, will you?
Shawn: Iâll do my best.
Carly: Let me guess. This is the so-called journalist trying to profit off of my daughterâs pain.
Smoltz: Mrs. Corinthos. I had the pleasure of meeting your son earlier. Or more specifically, his fist. Howâs he doing in lockup?
Carly: Heâs doing great, thanks. Which is more than youâre going to be able to say after my attorney files suit and sues you for every dime youâve ever made.
Alexis: Alright, thatâs enough of an introduction for now. Get out, Smoltz. Now.
Smoltz: Have a good evening, ladies.
Alexis: Out, out. Iâm sorry for what Joss is going through.
Carly: If you mean that, you will not publish this story.
Alexis: I think that would be a mistake.
Carly: Are you kidding me? Youâre such a hypocrite. I mean, the great defender of all wronged people everywhere. Yet when my daughter is violated, you just want to exploit it. Come on, Alexis, what if it was one of your girls?
Alexis: Iâd be livid. But itâs because of my daughters that I think The Invader should run the story.
Carly: What?
Alexis: What Joss and Cameron, what theyâre going through is terrible, but letâs be real. In situations like this, itâs usually the woman that bears the brunt.
Carly: Josslynâs life is falling apart.
Alexis: Itâs a big story, Carly, and itâs just a matter of time before someone else picks it up. But if The Invader runs it first, we can frame the narrative. I can make sure that itâs handled respectfully, I can be sensitive to what the kids are going through, focus on the fact that this is misogyny in the modern world and delve into the issues of consent and privacy in the digital age.
Carly: So if you run the article, then you get to shape the perspective moving forward.
Alexis: Let me put it this way. If someone else runs the article, it will be trashy in comparison. Now, I donât have to mention Jossâ or Cameronâs name if they donât want me to, but I could also provide them with the opportunity to speak about their experience, both shared and personal. It would be entirely up to them.
Carly: [ Sighs ]
Shawn: [ Chuckles ]
TJ: Why do women always go to the bathroom together?
Shawn: One of the worldâs greatest mysteries.
TJ: Right.
[ Both chuckle ]
Shawn: Hey, you and Molly still on board to keep an eye on Alexis while Iâm gone?
TJ: Yeah, of course. Have there been any developments with Harmony?
Shawn: Nothing more since we last spoke about it.
TJ: Which means youâre still worried. Have you considered talking to Alexis?
Shawn:Â I did. Letâs just say she doesnât share my concerns. I know Alexis is a strong woman and more than capable of making her own choices, but I also know how big that heart of hers is. I hate to see someone use it against her. Iâm not a fan of someone taking advantage of my friends.
TJ: Just⊠just friends?
Shawn: Yeah.
TJ: How do you feel about that?
Shawn: You canât keep living in past. You know, time to move on.
Nina: When I found out that Nelle was my daughter, after she already passed, I was devastated.
Phyllis: I remember.
Nina: The only thing that hurt more was waking up from my coma to⊠to learn that my baby was gone.
Phyllis: I canât begin to express my regret for the part I played in separating you and your little girl.
Nina: No, itâs not your fault. It was all my motherâs fault. Besides, if it wasnât for you, I never would have known about the half-heart necklace.
Phyllis: I wonder if that wouldâve been best.
Nina: Iâm glad I have closure. Even though it hurts.
Phyllis: Well, Iâll never get over the guilt.
Nina: You were honest with me. Unlike Carly. No, it doesnât â it doesnât excuse all the mistakes that I have made, believe me, and Iâve made plenty of them, like when I told Wiley that Willow was not his real mom. I shouldnât have done that, but I was just desperately trying to have some kind of connection with Nelle. I was panicked, thinking that she was going to be erased.
Phyllis: Wiley was your only tie to your daughter.
Nina: And then when Michael was trying to sever that tie, well, we all know how that turned out.
Phyllis: Mm. Not well.
Nina: And because of that, I may have lost my grandson forever.
Harmony: Are you still feeling lightheaded? Any dizziness?
Willow: Truthfully, Iâm â Iâm starving. Do you think you could grab me a sandwich from the cafeteria?
Harmony: Of course. Do you care what kind?
Willow: Turkey, if they have it.
Harmony: Yeah. Be right back.
[ Door closes ]
Epiphany: Thank you.
Willow: [ Sighs ] She means well.
Epiphany: Iâm sure she does.
Dr. Nelson: Nurse Johnson⊠âŠwhat exactly is going on here?
Sonny: Josslyn will always be my daughter. I donât care if Iâm with Carly or not.
Michael: Right. And you want Josslyn to rely on you, right?
Sonny: Of course I do. Why wouldnât I, Michael?
Michael: Well, um, why the hell would she when you prioritized Nina?
Sonny: Oh, thatâs not what happened. How many times do I got to â
Michael: Thatâs exactly what happened. Look, dad, you claim to be a family man, right? But a family man wouldnât sabotage his wife and kids to protect the woman who blew their lives apart.
Sonny: You done?! What do you want from me?!
Carly: I hate that Josslyn even has to weigh this decision.
Alexis: So do I.
Carly: Itâs beyond humiliating. Sheâs being harassed online.
Alexis: Iâm truly sorry, Carly.
Carly: Well, the effects of this are devastating, and I keep telling Josslyn that itâs going to pass. And it will. I know that. But â
Alexis: But it will be some time.
Carly: [ Sighs ] I donât want things to get worse for her. Do you understand that?
Alexis: Iâm on Jossâ side â and yours. If you donât want me to do the story, then I won’t. But somebody will. And wouldnât it be better if Joss had some say over how that was done?
Carly: She and Cam are just starting out their lives as adults. I mean, to be dealt this handâŠ
Alexis: You never know. Joss might find talking about this experience to be empowering.
Carly: If she doesnât want it published?
Alexis: Then I won’t.
Carly: Itâs her call. Iâm going to talk to Josslyn, and I will let you know.
Alexis: Just be warned, thereâs not a lot of time.
Carly: [ Sighs ]
[ Door closes ]
TJ: Should we do this?
Molly: Definitely.
Jordan: Okay.
Shawn: Okay, what do you think thatâs about?
Jordan: Maybe theyâre just so hopelessly in love, they couldnât wait another minute to be alone together.
Shawn: Well, knowing those two, I wouldnât rule it out.
Jordan:Â Itâs amazing, isnât it? Still crazy in love after almost 10 years together.
Shawn: Yeah. Theyâre a perfect fit.
Jordan: Maybe not getting married is the answer. Next time, Iâll try a domestic partnership, see if that works out any better.
Shawn: Well, with all the mistakes we both made, with all the regrets weâll always have, thereâs one brilliant consolation. We have a son, and he is thriving.
Jordan: Thrivingâs not even an adequate word, is it?
Shawn: [ Chuckles ] Right. Uh, okay, what is this?
Jordan: What is this?
TJ: Tonight is a celebration of family. My mom is back and healthier than ever.
Shawn: Yeah, she is.
TJ: And, dad â thank you â I will miss you while youâre gone, but I am so proud of all the good youâre doing. To my parents.
Shawn: To family.
Jordan: To family.
TJ: To family.
Molly: To family. Aww.
Dr. Nelson: Can we speak privately?
Epiphany: Of course. Dr nelson, Dr. Ashford and I have been in touch with you about this patient, who just happens to be one of our nursing students.
Dr. Nelson: So she gets special treatment. Is that it?
Epiphany: Sheâs been waiting for quite a while.
Dr. Nelson: Because youâre busy, nurse Johnson. Patients are seen based on the severity of their condition.
Epiphany: Iâm aware.
Dr. Nelson: Then youâre also aware that Ms. Tait was stable, putting her further down the list.
Epiphany: She only needed an I.V. of saline and electrolytes. You would have written it up, you would have signed off, I would have set it up. So I skipped a step. Itâs not like I havenât done this before.
Epiphany: Thatâs not the point. You stepped outside the chain of command, and you took it upon yourself to treat a patient. These protocols are in place for a reason.
Epiphany: I understand.
Dr. Nelson: Weâll finish this discussion later. How are you feeling, Ms. Tait?
Willow: Much better, thank you.
Epiphany: Dr. Ashford examined her upstairs. Heâs filled me in. Itâs all in her chart.
Dr. Nelson: Well, since youâve already began treatment, Iâll let you finish it.
Willow: I am so sorry. I did not mean to get you in trouble.
Epiphany: No, itâs okay. [ Sighs ] Honestly, you would think that after 20 years, he would have a little more trust in my judgment. I have been working as a nurse for 20 years. Longer than some of these â no, most of these doctors, and I still have to defer to their judgment.
Willow: That must be so frustrating.
Epiphany: I just wish that I had a more active role in patient-care decisions.
Willow: So why donât you get a job where you will?
Epiphany: [ Chuckles ] Iâve been a nurse for so long, I honestly donât think I could do anything else.
Willow: I felt the same way about teaching, remember? But then I realized I was ready for a change. Maybe you are, too.
Phyllis: I know it feels bleak.
Nina: Itâs the bleakest.
Phyllis: But people are capable of forgiveness.
Nina: Yeah, and Willow, sheâs very forgiving. When we first met, we had our issues, but we got past them, and weâve had some really touching moments with each other since then. I just donât understand why Willow canât see that Wiley is my only link to my daughter.
Phyllis: Itâs a difficult situation. Maybe Harmony is the answerâŠ
Nina: Well â
PhyllisâŠthe bridge between all of you.
Nina: I donât know. My gut is saying that sheâs going to choose to stay in her daughterâs good graces over helping me.
Phyllis: Well, you never know. [ Sighs ] If Harmony loves Wiley⊠âŠmaybe sheâll see the wisdom in having you be a part of his life.
Nina: Yeah. From your lips to⊠âŠHarmonyâs ears.
Phyllis: Whatâs this now?
Nina: Well, you knew her back in the old New York days. You know, you could talk to her, convince her to put in a good word for me?
Phyllis: We were acquaintances over 20 years ago. I donât hold any sway with that woman.
Nina: But you have more sway than I do. Come on, Phyllis. Everyone listens to you. Everybody. You know thatâs true. Please.
Phyllis: This is a family-custody matter. I donât feel comfortable taking sides. However, Iâll be willing to talk to Harmony and tell her about the Nina I know and love. She can then come to an informed decision on her own.
Nina: Yes! Thank you.
Phyllis: [ Chuckles ]
Sonny: [ Sighs ] You know what? Iâm not going to have Nina used against me anymore. You understand?
Michael: No, Iâll never understand.
Sonny: Well, how many times we going to do this? I was trying to keep the peace. Whatâd you want me to do, attack Nina? You think that would have helped?
Michael: [ Chuckles ]
Sonny:Â No, Iâm askâ
Michael: Right, right, right. This coming from you, the gold standard in payback. Now you want bygones to be bygones. Do you understand why I donât want Nina in Wileyâs life? Itâs because sheâs unbalanced. She does horrible, hateful things and then claims she doesnât mean them. Who does that sound like to you? Right. Nelle.
Sonny: Oh, so Nina is now poisoning people? Is that â is that â is that whatâs happening?
Michael: Maybe. We donât know.
Sonny: Really? Really, Michael? Is that what sheâs doing?
Michael:Â Close enough. So, no, I donât â I donât need your help, alright? And neither does Josslyn.
Sonny: Okay, Iâm going to find out what happened to Josslyn. So why donât you just tell me?
Michael: Because she wouldnât want me to, Dad. And, honestly, Iâd venture to say sheâd rather have the whole situation on a billboard in Times Square than to accept anything from you. You made your choice, and your family wasnât it.
Sonny: Iâm sorry that I caused you any pain, and maybe one day you will understand.
Nina: Thank you.
Phyllis: [ Chuckles ] Talk to you soon.
Nina: Okay.
[ Song begins ]
