DVD Review!
“DC’s Stargirl: The Complete Second Season” Review by Suzanne 2/5/22
I love any superhero show, and I grew up reading comics about the Justice Society, so I never miss “Stargirl.” This season is not as light and fun as previous seasons. Things get pretty dark and harrowing for the young heroes, but I’ll bet you can guess how it all turns out in the end. No spoilers here! My only complaint is that they seem to be taking a really long time to build their superhero team and get it all together. They’re teens, so the writers are taking their time in getting them to mature and accept their roles.
There are three special features on the DVD. One is a gag reel. Another is “Never Alone: Heroes and Allies,” and the other is “Thank You, Georgia: Stargirl.” They’re very enjoyable. You don’t have to have watched previous seasons of the show to enjoy this one, but I think it helps a great deal because there are many characters and plot points. I can’t wait for season 3!
