Loosely based on the comic book “The Flash” – the show, which is a spin-off of “Arrow” – is about CSI detective Barry Allen, who gains superspeed and other powers one night when he’s struck by lightening at the same time that a particular accelerator experiment goes awry in his hometown of Central City. Barry is assisted in his crime-fighting by police detective Joe West, his best friend and wife Iris, and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs.
