“Hollywood Squares” Review by Eva38/2025
Hollywood Squares returns with this latest version. Executive producer, actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore is the center square. The show is hosted by Nate Burleson.
The game board has nine squares with nine stars sitting inside the squares. The stars help the contestants answer questions and, if the contestants get the question right, they get an x or an O to make tic tac toe. Nate Burleson does a good job as a host and is funny.
The winner of the game goes to the bonus round where the contestant has to guess if facts about the stars are true or false. If the contestant guesses correctly they win the square. If one of the squares that the contestant have won has a card that says $25,000 the contestant wins the prize.
The show is rated tv 14 because the jokes are not for young ears. If you like game shows you will like this show. I like it because it honors the original show that aired in 1966, as well as, giving the show a modern twist.
The show airs on Thursday nights on CBS and streams the next day on Paramount +.
I give this show 4 out of 5 stars because it gets a little naughty for a game show.
