Jack: Hey. You’re getting a late start this morning.
Kyle: I didn’t get much sleep. My mind kept replaying that elevator video with tara and sally. It raises so many questions. I can’t stop wondering if they were involved in getting summer out of town.
Jack: Yeah, I’d like to know that, too.
Kyle: I hate that I’m thinking this way about harrison’s mom, but I overheard tara on the phone with sally. Tara seemed relieved that they’d both given us the same excuse for the elevator footage. She said, “you handled it as well as you could have.”
Jack: Pretty damning words. They’re not exactly incriminating.
Kyle: Mm, that’s one more thing to worry about.
Jack: Well, maybe it’s time you confronted tara with all of this.
Kyle: I don’t know if I’m ready to do that. If I did, where would it lead, tara grabbing my son and running off? I dread the thought of her taking harrison away.
Jack: Do you really think she would do that?
Kyle: She has primary physical custody and legally shares parental rights with ashland. In the eyes of the law, I have no rights whatsoever. I’ve submitted the paternity paperwork, but that’s it. Dad, it never occurred to me how precarious this situation could get. Even though harrison’s only been with us for a short time, i can’t imagine my life without my son.
Jack: Okay, I feel the same way about harrison. Let me ask you something. What if phyllis’ suspicions turn out to be true? What if she can offer irrefutable proof that tara was somehow involved in sally’s manipulations to get summer out of town? Could you find a way to forgive her?
Sally: I’m telling you, grams, this woman won’t let up. Phyllis is dangerous, and she’s digging around in all my business. If I don’t watch out, she could ruin everything for me.
Phyllis: Angelina marchetti.
[ Speaking italian ] Very, very nice to meet you, and also, eric, you are just so handsome, charming as ever.

Phyllis: Yes.

Angelina: Anything for summer’s mother.

Eric: Thank you. Mine goes back to her. Phyllis and I have many mutual friends. We met when she was doing restless style. That was a good time.
Phyllis: Yeah.
Eric: And her most recent venture is this beautiful boutique hotel in genoa city. I hear it’s a big smash hit.
Angelina: [ Chuckles ] Like mother, like daughter.
Phyllis: Ah, thank you.

Eric: So, what brings you to la?
Phyllis: Oh, I had some hotel business to attend to, and i really just wanted to meet the fabulous woman who made my daughter creative director at her company. Thank you.
Angelina: Honestly, it should be me that’s thanking you — for raising such a brilliant young woman. Summer has been an exciting addition to our team. I am so glad eric recommended her for the job.
Phyllis: Wow.
Eric: It was actually a big surprise that sally came to me to ask for this recommendation for summer.
Phyllis: Sally recommended my daughter for the job? Wow.
Eric: She never ceases to surprise.
Phyllis: Uh, no, I absolutely agree. I’d love to hear more about that conversation.
Victoria: [ Chuckles ] Look at you.
Ashland: What?
Victoria: You look like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
Ashland: [ Exhales sharply ] Well, I feel liberated now that this chapter of my life is closed. I mean, shutting down my office here and setting in motion the sales of my new york houses, it’s — I don’t know — it’s like a cleansing.
Victoria: I think you were right, what you were talking about last night, about making a clean break.
Ashland: You know, and after our meeting with the specialist, I feel optimistic. This new chemo cocktail he’s suggested makes sense.
Victoria: Well, I’m just glad you were able to pull some strings to get started right away and that he had such high praise for the oncologist in genoa city.
Ashland: Don’t get too excited. The doctor made it clear that this isn’t a miracle cure, but it does give us hope for more time together. And I want to savor this once-in-a-lifetime connection that I’ve finally found.
Nikki: Oh, there is something about a european vacation that just makes you feel like you’ve escaped to another world.
Victor: Yeah.
Nikki: Thank you so much for my birthday trip. It’s always great to see leslie brooks in concert.
Victor: Mm-hmm.
Nikki: And then, of course, we got to see noah and summer.
Victor: You know, no matter where we go, how long we stay away, I’ve always loved coming back home.
Nikki: Well, yes, of course. Me, too. But now I have a very big problem.
Victor: What? What problem could you have?
Nikki: How am I ever going to top this now for your birthday?
Victor: Oh, well, we’ll see.
Nikki: [ Chuckles ]
Victor: You know how? By just being with me. I love nothing more than to spend my birthday with you.

Victor: Hey, son.
Nikki: We’re barely in the door, and here you are, wanting to talk business, I’m sure.
Adam: [ Chuckles ] That is not the only reason that I’m here. But we do have a lot to discuss. Is now a good time for a flare-up?

Ashland: I have a lovely afternoon planned, but first, lunch.
Victoria: Mm. Well, I assume that you’ve made a reservation at one of your favorite fancy restaurants that most people couldn’t get into even if they tried.
Ashland: Oh, it’s a favorite, alright, and it’s impossible to get into. But that’s only because it’s a hole in the wall and only does take-out.
Victoria: Hole in the wall? Take-out, you? No.
Ashland: You just trust me, ’cause you are about to be transported. I’m gonna have them send over everything on their very limited menu. This is going to be the culinary equivalent of great sex.

Victoria: You know, um, when I was first attracted to you, it was for your savvy gamesmanship and your confidence, but now i really love this fun and easygoing side of you just as much.
Ashland: Well, I’m a slacker. Who’d believe it? Do you see what you’ve done to me? No, I wouldn’t be this way if you hadn’t come into my life.
Victoria: I just wish it could’ve been sooner.
Ashland: No, I can’t think like that. I’m just happy it happened at all, especially at a point in my life that felt so bleak.
Victoria: You’re right, we should just be grateful for the time that we have.
Ashland: Yeah, in a way, i have tara to thank. Once she revealed her true self, it set me free and made me ready to walk away from my old life and open up to the possibility of this.
Kyle: I honestly don’t think I could ever forgive tara if she knowingly was responsible for driving summer away. But still, I can’t understand why she would’ve gotten involved in something like this.
Jack: Sally can be very persuasive.
Kyle: But what could be in it for tara? Our family already accepted her and harrison with open arms. We welcomed her into our home, until she got back on her feet and her business deal with lauren is finalized.
Jack: We made it very clear the boy would be well cared for no matter what happened. She had nothing to worry about.
Kyle: So what more could she gain by getting involved in this plot to drive summer away?
Jack: I can only think of one thing.
Kyle: What?
Jack: You.
Phyllis: Wow, eric, I had no idea that sally came to you for summer.
Eric: She was very determined to get your daughter that job.
Angelina: Then I guess i should thank her for sending summer my way.
[ Cellphone rings ] Ah, sorry, I have to take this. Excuse me.
Eric: Of course.
Phyllis: Can you just take me through this step-by-step? Um, I mean, honestly, I didn’t know that you and sally were so close. I mean, she would come to you for help.
Eric: Actually, it was quite a surprise that she came asking for a favor. It really was.
Phyllis: Why?
Eric: Because sally doesn’t have the best history with my family or with forrester creations.
Phyllis: Oh, I didn’t know that either. I’m — all I know about her — i mean, it’s really not that much, but she wanted to make a new start. What happened with your family?
Eric: Well, I won’t bore you with the details. It’s sort of water under the forrester bridge. I was just impressed that she wanted to make a new start in genoa city, turn her life around. I was very happy to hear that she’s doing well with lauren. She’s very happy there. She’s making changes to help her resist her worst impulses. It’s good.
Phyllis: Yeah, it’s great. She’s really made a name for herself in her new home town.
Eric: You’re happy about this, aren’t you, this new job for summer?
Phyllis: Yes, this is great for summer. This is great. I just want — I’m interested — did sally tell you why she was coming to you for summer?
Eric: She said that summer was a good friend of hers and that summer admired marchetti, wanted to work there, but she didn’t want to appear ungrateful to lauren by going after the job herself, so…
Phyllis: Right. Okay, so she wanted you to recommend summer to ms. Marchetti so that angelina would come to summer herself and offer her the job, right?
Eric: Yes, yes. She, uh, wanted to keep her name out of it. She didn’t want to take any credit for it. She wanted to keep her name out of it completely.
Phyllis: Okay. I wonder why she didn’t go after the job herself.
Eric: I asked her the same thing, but she said she’s very happy with lauren, so there it is.
Phyllis: Well, that’s interesting, but you know that sally has summer’s old job at jcv.
Eric: Ah, well, she told me that was her dream job. She really did. So everything worked out for the best, didn’t it? Except that you don’t think so. I mean, you’re not here just to thank her for this job for summer. You’re here to dig for information. What’s going on here? What’s sally up to now? Hey, it’s me…your skin.
Phyllis: A very complicated series of events led me to believe that sally and ashland locke’s ex-wife had been working together to get summer out of town.
Eric: Why would they want that?
Phyllis: Let me just tell you it benefits them both.
Eric: Wow. Sally just showed up here out of the blue. If I had had any idea this was not above board, that she was up to her old tricks, I would never have complied. Nothing that girl does surprises me.
Phyllis: Yeah, she’s an operator, isn’t she?
[ Sighs ]
Eric: She showed up here and she took — she took advantage of my goodwill. That does not sit well with me. I really wanted to believe she’d changed.
Phyllis: Me, too, eric. Me, too.
Kyle: You think tara wants to get back together with me?
Jack: She’s newly single. Is it that outrageous to think she might want to rekindle her relationship with you?
Kyle: I have to admit, there have been moments when I thought I picked up on the vibe that tara was hoping that we could pick back up where we left off that summer in the hamptons.
Jack: Uh-huh. Have you talked to her about it?
Kyle: No. I chalked it up to her loneliness and the impending divorce and us living in the same house. It’s not like she ever did anything overt that made me think that was on her mind.
Jack: Well, that doesn’t mean it wasn’T.
Kyle: What we had was pretty intense, even fantasized about running away together, but that was then.
Jack: Okay, let me ask you something, and I need you to be honest with me, be honest with yourself. Is there any possibility you still have feelings for tara?
Kyle: No.
Jack: Okay, that’s a definitive answer.
Kyle: I’m not proud I had an affair with a married woman. I knew it was a mistake, and that’s why I put it behind me, moved on. If tara had never gotten pregnant with my child —
Jack: But she did get pregnant. And you stepped up for your son. You embraced fatherhood. Your love and commitment for harrison was evident for everyone to see. You’ve said again and again you couldn’t imagine your life without him.
Kyle: That’s all true. What’s your point?
Jack: Maybe we have to look at this from another perspective. As highly motivated as sally was to get summer out of jcv, to move halfway across the world, she didn’t have any leverage against her. Tara, on the other hand, did in harrison, the son you love, the son you would never want to be separated from.
Kyle: I can’t believe she would use harrison like that.
Jack: I don’t want to believe it either, but we have to follow the logic, wherever it may lead.
Victoria: Oh. “Roman holiday.” You know, that’s one of my favorite movies. Gregory peck — he was so suave and dashing.
Ashland: That he was. Just like me, I presume. You know, audrey hepburn won the academy award for her role. I had a crush on her like crazy when I was a boy. Those eyes, that smile, her innocent charm.
Victoria: Just like me, i presume.
Ashland: [ Chuckles ] You know, we’re on our own little romantic holiday here, aren’t we?
Victoria: I guess so.
Ashland: The announcement of the locke/newman merger really stirred things up. Speculation about our personal relationship has seemed to be the story that everybody’s talking about.
Victoria: It’s a good story. Better than people know.
Ashland: I wholeheartedly agree. You know, this is a fascinating new world for me. Hanging around, leisurely eating good food, and watching classic movies. I could get used to this.
Victoria: Mm. I think you’d only last a few days before you went out of your mind with boredom.
Ashland: [ Laughs ] I think you got me on that one, but you’re pretty much the same way.
Victoria: Well, that’s because we’re doers. We, uh — we’re driven by the need to — to be on the move constantly. We have a passion for achievement. I don’t think that will ever change.
Ashland: Tell me more about that passion for achievement, our future. Talk to me about how we conquer the world.
Nikki: Noah and summer treated us like royalty. They really rolled out the red carpet.
Victor: They were so damn nice, we didn’t want to leave.
Nikki: [ Laughs ]
Adam: Well, it sounds perfect.
Nikki: I’ll spare you any more details, so you don’t have to keep pretending to be interested in our trip.
Adam: I’m genuinely happy that you two got away and you had that time together.
Nikki: I’m gonna check in on victoria. You two can talk.
Victor: Sweet love. So, how’s connor? Is he back?
Adam: Yes, and he’s still thrilled to be living at the ranch. First thing he wanted to do was to see his grandparents.
Victor: Well, we both are dying to see him. So, son, let’s get down to business. What’s happening with the preparation for the launch of the newman media?
Adam: Well, you will be pleased to know that we are moving at record speed. Marketing team is putting together a strong ad campaign. Should have the comps to you by the end of the week. I think you’ll find branding is on point.
Victor: Alright, and you’re spending a good amount of money on the media buy?
Adam: Mm-hmm. It’s a national buy with a heavy rotation focused on our target demos.
Victor: Very good. What else is on your mind?
Adam: The merger between locke communications group and newman enterprises and how we make it work for us. People everywhere living with type 2 diabetes
Jack: Let’s go over all the facts. Sally and tara had a confrontation in the elevator at the grand phoenix that was caught on security camera.
Kyle: And sally lied that she never saw what was in the text phyllis sent to tara from sally’s phone.
Jack: Tara claims she doesn’t even remember what was in the text, and yet it sent her running to sally.
Kyle: Yeah, and even without the audio, the video footage was definitely more than two coworkers sorting through their confusion. They were pretty upset about something.
Jack: And let’s not forget, they both had something to gain from summer leaving. Look, phyllis’ tactics aside, her little stunt really gave credence to the theory that sally and tara had been working together.
Kyle: And the conversation i overheard supports that, too.
Jack: Okay, if we accept that premise, then there’s only one possible scenario — tara was using her son as the leverage they needed to get summer out of the way. Summer was the obstacle to what each of them was trying to do.
Kyle: I still don’t think all the pieces fit together.
Jack: Let me give you another idea. Summer was definitely put in a difficult situation that she didn’t bargain for. But I have never known her to back down from a challenge. Never known her to not fight for what was hers. She was making room for harrison in the life you two were building.
Kyle: Yeah, but suddenly the situation was too much for her to handle.
Jack: Summer is tougher than that. She would’ve made room for tara in your lives because she knew you loved her and she knew she loved you.
Kyle: That’s the thing, dad, last words summer said to me were she didn’t love me anymore.
Phyllis: I just wanted to thank you so much, angelina. Would — summer’s dad and I, we’re so grateful to you. I mean, you’re really giving our daughter a chance to shine.
Angelina: She already is. Your daughter is smart. She’s — she’s creative, energetic, and delightful. She’s a real find.
Phyllis: Wow, that’s just music to my ears as a mother.
[ Chuckles ] Hey, do you mind if we take a picture?
Angelina: Of course not. Eric?
Eric: Yeah, let’s do it. Come on.
Phyllis: Summer would love this. Send it to her. Alright, let me get this. Alright.

Angelina: Yeah.

Sally: [ Gasps ]
Lauren: Good news or bad news?
Sally: Good! Great, actually. I just got the sales numbers for the latest jcv pop-up boutique. They exceeded expectations.
Lauren: Ooh, that is good news.
Sally: Sorry, that wasn’t a very professional reaction.
Lauren: [ Chuckles ] Well, first of all, we’re not at the office, and second, your genuine enthusiasm is what makes you excel at your job. You really love what you do, don’t you?
Sally: I wake up every day excited to get to work, and I’m very grateful for this opportunity that you’ve given me.
Lauren: Well, I hope you remember that when I offered you the job, it was on a trial basis, and that trial is over.
Sally: [ Chuckles ]
Lauren: It’s time to make your position permanent.
Sally: [ Gasps ] Thank you so much for being the best boss and mentor and having so much faith in me.
Lauren: Aww. Well, congratulations. You earned it. All your hard work has paid off. You’re only getting what you deserve.
[ Chuckles ] Now, I need coffee.

Jack: I can only imagine how much that must have hurt to hear summer she didn’t love you. It was the only way she could think of to keep you from digging dipper into the real reason she was leaving.
Kyle: Which means she didn’t trust me to deal with the situation.
Jack: Which means she trusted tara locke to follow through with her threat to take harrison away and cut him out of your life.
[ Cellphone chimes ] Hold on. Oh, I got this conference call. I can’t reschedule this, okay? Hey. Just think about what I’ve said and we’ll talk some more, alright?
Kyle: Summer, it’s me. Things have taken a strange turn here at home. I really need to talk to you about it. Please, just call me back. I love you, summer. I miss you like crazy.
Victoria: So, picture this — we rent a villa on the cte d’azur and [Sighs] Our day starts off sleeping in. Then we wake up, we maybe do a little shopping in saint-tropez, a little gambling in monte carlo.
Ashland: Mais oui.
Victoria: And then, since we’re seven hours ahead, we spend our afternoons and our evenings on our e-mails and video conference calls, running our corporation together.
Ashland: Late dinners under the stars. And then we fall asleep in each other’s arms.
Victoria: [ Sighs ] And then we wake up and we do it all again.
Ashland: What a happy power couple we will be.
Victoria: [ Chuckles ]
Ashland: And upon returning stateside, we jet around the country buying and selling various entities to expand our portfolio.
Victoria: [ Chuckles ]
Ashland: I have so many things I want to experience with you. It is all so promising.
[ Cellphone rings ]
Victoria: Oh, it’s my mom. Excuse me for just a minute. Hi, mom. Welcome back. How was europe? Really?
Adam: You and I both know that this merger was pushed through too fast. Between ashland’s health crisis and victoria’s blind ambition to be ceo of a mega-corporation, there was some holes that were left unplugged. Leaves the company vulnerable, especially during what promises to be a messy transition.
Victor: Where are you going with this?
Adam: I propose that we start by siphoning off locke communications group’s talent. You’re still controlling figure of newman enterprises as chairman of the board. You’re in a position to complicate the merger.
Victor: In other words, you want me to jeopardize the merger, is that it?
Adam: We need to exploit the fact that many of locke’s employees are being asked to relocate to genoa city from new york. I have it on good authority that they’re not very happy about that or being employees of newman enterprises.
Victor: Do I need to remind you that we are headquartered in genoa city, as well? Why would it be an advantage to them to work for us?
Adam: Because we will allow them to stay in manhattan and do their jobs remotely.
Victor: Oh, I see.
Adam: We need to make our move on newman and locke before they become a threat to our media company.
Victor: Let me tell you something. I don’t want to go after anything that has to do with newman enterprises, okay?
Adam: [ Scoffs ] What?
Victor: I do not want to put at risk what victoria has accomplished.
Adam: Wow, um…okay. I can’t believe what I’m hearing. Before you left on your trip, you were going off on me because I didn’t care enough that we had lost out on the deal to locke’s company and you even accused me of losing my killer instinct. I mean, this is a smart move, one that will benefit us. It’s a move that we should make.
Victor: We will not make it.
Adam: [ Sighs ] Well, then apparently the only person that has lost their killer instinct, dad, is you. Alice loves the scent of gain so much,
she wished there was a way to
make it last longer.
Tara: You’ve got to stop texting me to meet with you. If anyone sees us, they’re just gonna get more suspicious.
Sally: Okay, I had to tell you this. Look… at this selfie that phyllis just sent me. She is in la with eric forrester and angelina marchetti. This woman is relentless.
Tara: This whole thing is unraveling. Kyle reached out to summer, left a message that there’s been a turn of events and that he needs to talk to her about it.
Sally: Okay, well, that’s not good. What else did he say?
Tara: I mean, after all this talk about letting her go, he ends the call by telling her he loves and he misses her. Does that sound like a man who’s moving on? This is all because phyllis just keeps getting kyle and jack worked up.
Sally: Okay, well, that woman is a menace. That’s okay, we can still control it.
Tara: Really? How?
Sally: I don’t know just yet, but I will figure it out. It’s what I do. I’m a survivor — always have been and I always will be.
Tara: That’s not very encouraging.
Sally: Listen to me, okay? Now is not the time to panic. You cannot let on that any of this is bothering you.
Tara: But it is. This is making me crazy.
Sally: Get a grip. You just have to keep playing the hardworking mother whose only concern is her son. Jack and kyle are not gonna force you out of their lives if that means losing harrison because they love that little boy.
Tara: You don’t know that. If they find out I blackmailed summer into leaving, they’ll turn against me. And what if they use that to take away harrison?
Sally: The courts are not about to side with a brand-new family who come in and try and force a mother out of a child’s life. You will be just fine, but you have to stay calm.
Tara: Don’t you get it? I can’T. My entire life is about to blow up. I mean, I am trying to build a future for my son. Kyle and jack let me live in their home. They set me up with fenmore’S. Everything depends on their kindness. But now kyle has it in his head that I’m materialistic.
Sally: [ Scoffs ] Okay, well, that’s rich, coming from a guy who grew up in the lap of luxury and had everything handed to him. But it does seem like you’re a little scared that you might be losing the lifestyle that you’ve become accustomed to.
Tara: I don’t need to live in a mansion, but because of this prenup, without the abbotts, I have nothing.
Sally: Man, it’s really too bad that you’re not more like me. Seriously, I can live alone and scrape by with barely anything, if need be, and I’ve needed to more times than I care to remember. I just have a feeling it would be a lot harder for you.
Tara: You don’t know me. I’m not playing at being a concerned mother. It’s who I am. Everything I have ever done is to give my son the best future he can have.
Sally: I am not the one you need to convince.
Victoria: Sorry about that. I had to catch up with things at the office. But my parents, they — they had a fabulous time on their vacation. And my mom, I mean, she made europe sound so appealing. Maybe we ought to book our trip to the cte d’azur right now.
Ashland: That’s a great idea. We can leave after we get everything up and running with the merger. We can make it our honeymoon. You heard me. You talked about your sudden and surprising love for me. Well…
[ Sighs ] I have fallen in love with you, too.
Adam: This idea is not coming out of nowhere. After you accused me of losing my edge, I suggested that we take a run for portions of locke’s company.
Victor: But I never committed to that.
Adam: Yeah. But remember how pissed you were to find out about the merger? I mean, she used the same bylaws that you put in place for yourself to make her move without board approval.
Victor: Right, and I think it was a damn clever move on her part.
Adam: This is just — it’s very different attitude you had at the time. You were even wondering why i wasn’t more worked up about it. You want to know the reason? Because it wouldn’t have changed a thing. The deal was already done. At that point, there was nothing that we could do about it, but now there is something we could do about it. And why, after victoria has done this, are you so reluctant to respond in kind?
Victor: Victoria made a very gutsy move. The kind of move that I would have made. And it took me by surprise.
Adam: As I’m sure she knew it would.
Victor: And it made me realize that she is the real power at newman enterprises.
Adam: That’s exactly what she’s always wanted.
Victor: Yeah. You know, she’s a hell of a ceo. Very sharp, level-headed, always concerned about the bottom line. I mean…she makes me proud, to be honest with you.
Adam: It’s all the more reason to stop her before she comes after newman media.
Victor: No, son, I will not do anything to jeopardize what she has accomplished.
Adam: Alright. Agreed. It was a savvy move. But we need to respond with a move of our own. It’s just business.
Victor: No, son, it ain’t just business. Never when you and your sister are involved. Don’t settle. Start your day with secret.
Eric: Phyllis, I want you to know how deeply I regret allowing sally to use me in this whole plot against your daughter.
Phyllis: Oh, don’t worry about it. It’s not your fault. I don’t blame you.
Eric: Good.
Phyllis: Thank you for giving me such enlightening information.
[ Cellphone chimes ]
Eric: Alright, I have to go to this meeting. I have to go. I’m sorry. Look, let me know if there’s anything else I can do.
Phyllis: Oh, thank you. I mean, you’ve given me all the ammunition I need. I…I’ll [Sighs] Take it from here.
Eric: I don’t doubt that. Bye.
Phyllis: Bye.
Jack: Hey, how you doing? I know I dumped a lot of unpleasant ideas on you earlier.
Kyle: Yeah, I can’t stop thinking about what it means if you’re right. If tara would use our son that way and the sacrifice summer chose to make because of it.
Jack: It does kind of put a new spin on everything that’s happened.
Kyle: Yeah, if tara would tear apart my life like that, drive the woman I love away, the woman I was about to marry.
[ Cellphone chimes ]
Jack: It’s from phyllis. “Don’t do anything until I get back. I found out something big.”
Sally: Whatever you do, you need to keep focused on your son and how phyllis is trying to create trouble where none exists.
Tara: That’s easy for you to say. I live with the abbotts. I have to keep up that façade 24/7.
Sally: Okay, I’m telling you, the more panicked you get, the more likely this whole thing is gonna blow up for the both of us.
Tara: And I’m telling you, i can take care of myself. I don’t need you lecturing me.
Sally: Just keep it together.
Adam: This isn’t about victoria. I’m not upset about losing out to the deal because it went to her. This is about locke communications group and what is best for our company.
Victor: And you think that’s going after newman enterprises?
Adam: What I know for a fact is there are many people that work for ashland’s company that are not happy with what they see as becoming a fold-in to newman enterprises. They’re ready to jump ship and come work for us.
Victor: Son, one day you will understand when your children grow up. Victoria is my daughter. I’m very proud of what she’s accomplished with this merger.
Adam: But just think about how much newman media has to gain.
Victor: But, son, there’s enough for all of us. This is not about, you know, all or nothing. I have an idea. You want to do something? Let’s go after billy boy abbott. Let’s go after chanccomm. Newman enterprises is off limits.
Ashland: You know, maybe this is all happening too fast, but i don’t care. Hell, I love that it’s happening so quickly, because only god knows how much time we have together. And the one thing I know for sure is I want that time to be glorious and I want to spend every moment of it with you, the woman I love. So, victoria newman… will you marry me?
