Steffy is at home. Thomas comes by to visit and they talk about her pain. Steffy is down to her last pain pill. Thomas tells her if sheās still in a lot of pain, she should get a refill to help her get through the worst of it, but Steffy brushes him off, saying sheās got a doctorās appointment next week and her ER doctor has been checking on her. Her doctor wants to step down to over-the-counter medication, and she agrees so she can remain available for her daughter. As Thomas is getting ready to leave, he offers to help Steffy with anything she needs, including grocery shopping. She appreciates it but tells him sheāll be fine⦠then she takes her last pill.
In Brookeās bedroom, Donna comes in to offer support for Brooke, who is still distraught, thinking about her last conversation with Ridge. Brooke still canāt accept that her marriage is over and that Ridge is now married to Shauna. They discuss how it could have so easily happened. Brooke thinks Ridge was plied with alcohol and dragged to the altar, whereas Donna thinks he just got caught up in the moment, as people do after theyāve been drinking and gambling. And Donna says thatās why they invented annulments. Donna tells Brooke that sheās sure Shauna would give Ridge the annulment, knowing heās still in love with Brooke. Brooke is having a difficult time believing Ridge could love her when he could so easily commit himself to another woman. Meanwhile, Ridge returns to the Forrester mansion just as Quinn and Shauna are concluding the conversation about their secret. Ridge is tired and decides to go to bed. Quinn urges Shauna to go after her husband so she can comfort him. When Shauna goes to Ridgeās room, she tells him that sheās his wife now and wants to act like one. Sheās going to leave him alone, but when heās ready, she wants to show him how much she loves him. Before she walks out, they kiss. After Shauna leaves, Ridge and Brooke think about special moments they shared.
