Series premiere.  Trailer Award-winning actress Maria Doyle Kennedy (Outlander, Orphan Black, The Tudors, Kin) stars in the dangerously delicious Acorn TV Original mystery drama, Recipes for Love and Murder, premiering Monday, September 5 with two episodes on Acorn TV, AMC Networks’ acclaimed streamer devoted to British and international television. Based on Sally Andrew’s best-selling novels “A Tannie Maria Mystery,” the ten-part series follows a newspaper recipe advice columnist, Tannie Maria (“Auntie Maria” in Afrikaans), who offers guidance and counsel and helps investigate crimes in her small town in the vibrant, beautiful region of the Karoo in South Africa. Two new episodes will premiere weekly every Monday through October 3. When the local newspaper cuts her recipe column, Tannie Maria (Kennedy) lobbies to take on the role of advice columnist. Things take an unexpected turn when a correspondent who writes to Maria about her abusive husband is found dead. Maria’s worlds collide as she begins working through her own mysterious past trying to solve the case. Maria joins forces with a local, risk-taking, rookie journalist, and sometimes rival, Jessie September (newcomer Kylie Fisher), to investigate the murder and catch the killer — before the local police find more victims. But will they make too many enemies in the process and risk the perpetrator catching them first? “2426” (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) from bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Big Brother 24: HOH, Zingbot, & Nominations
Big Brother 24 is back tonight at 8/7c with the return of Zingbot as the remaining Houseguests race to complete their puzzles and take over as the new Head of Household. Then by the end of the night the HGs will be zinged out and the next two nominees will be on the Block.
Thursday night ended with Kyle out the door after his game imploded and Terrance is still not happy about the way things went down. He’ll need to step up and win that HOH then if he wants to do something about it. It’s time to watch that competition play out and then we’ll see the Zingbot arrive at the balcony and wave his green metal arms around as the HGs are left to wonder what that was supposed to be.
“2427” (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) From bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Big Brother 24: Power of Veto Events
Big Brother 24 returns tonight (8/7c) with the Power of Veto medallion waiting to be grabbed by one of the remaining seven Houseguests in these final weeks of the season. Michael has regained control of the Head of Household room and his nominations are set but there’s always a chance to shake things up again as a popular competition is set for this week in the backyard..
With everyone this close to the finish line we’re starting to see some panic set in and scrambling as the HGs look to shore up their core alliances and F2s plus all the fake promises they can grab. It’s making things messy and potentially rocking some longstanding alliances in the game from what we saw overnight on the Feeds.
This Veto is noteworthy for a few reasons. First, it’s the return of BB Comics! Secondly, watch tonight’s show to see if Michael can challenge the longstanding Veto win record held by several HGs over past years. It’s almost like the other HGs don’t want to win these comps, right?

“2428” (9:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) From bigbrothernetwork.com: Tonight On Big Brother 24: Double Eviction As Final 5 Revealed
Welcome to Double Eviction Day for Big Brother 24! It’s a double dose live show tonight with a two-hour runtime, yes another two-hour show, when things kick off at 9/8c with the Final 7 Houseguests facing an easy vote to start the night but things could get choppy from there.
Terrance and Alyssa are on the Block and Terrance remains the target to go. The voters met the other day and all agreed that Terrance posed a greater threat to win another competition than Alyssa did and so with their priorities straight they set out on the next round target.
HGs suspect we could get a Double tonight and they’ll get clued in as it gets closer if they’re paying attention. So when they do know for sure I’m interested to see if Monte and Turner, possibly along with Taylor and Brittany, will decide to swing at Michael tonight when he’s vulnerable in the second eviction. Michael will likely need to win this Veto tonight or else he’ll be a no-brainer to renom and evict. And if the HGs pass on the opportunity then they’ve got no one else to blame on finale night.
I’m also hoping we’ll finally get a look at the Jury house which is racking up its members and still remains in the dark over the latest there. I imagine we can all look forward to a miraculous recovery by Jasmine now that she’s out of the main house. And what about Joseph being trapped there with her and Indy? I’m looking forward to the big ol’ smile on Joseph’s face when Kyle followed him in the next week too. With TWO hours to fill tonight, I’m thinking our odds are good for some dedicated time to the Jury crew.

Local police found Bianca Rudolph lying on the floor with a gunshot wound. Lawrence Rudolph said his wife was packing up a shotgun in a soft shell gun case. At first, he told a local hunting scout his wife had died by suicide, but later told investigators the gun must have accidentally fired. After two days of investigating, Zambian police closed the case calling it an accident. It took U.S. investigators another five years to investigate the case. Lawrence Rudolph was arrested in December 2021 for the murder of his wife.
