She told Hayley that it was a coincidence that she turned to Bill when she was charged with embezzlement at the bank. Later on, Hayley went back to Bill&#8217;s office. Bill asked Hayley what she thought of Lynette. Hayley said she hadn&#8217;t talked to her long enough to know. Bill said he wanted her to work with Tomas on Lynette&#8217;s case. Vernon told Anita that he wanted to spend the holidays somewhere romantic, but she turned him down. Later on, Dani showed up. Anita told Dani that she wanted her to take care of Vernon if anything ever happened to her. Dani was upset when she asked her that. Vanessa went to the casino to tell Joey that she was willing to do anything to get him back. She admitted that she would have left Doug for him if he hadn&#8217;t died. Vanessa said she put everyone first, but real estate gave her a purpose. She said she had an empty marriage and numerous affairs until she met him. Joey said she didn&#8217;t have to set fire to her life to be with him. He said her kids may not want her to be with him. She said there was no one she would rather be with.
