Shane and Andrew came back for it so why wouldn\u2019t she come back? John was Tate\u2019s grandfather so she should have been there. She came back for Victor\u2019s funeral, but she didn\u2019t come back for John\u2019s. We know she was scheming to marry Alex, but she still came back for Victor\u2019s funeral. The writers didn\u2019t even come up with a reason for why she wasn\u2019t there. Speaking of missing people, why wasn\u2019t Nicole at the funeral? You would think she would have been there for Eric. Will was also missing from the funeral. He took the time to show up when John was in the hospital, so he should have been at the funeral.<\/p>\n<p>Roman must have a good heart to be willing to mourn John after everything that happened with Marlena. You would think that he would have been bitter towards John after the way he had an affair with Marlena. He also had to listen to his family talk about how great of a person John was when everyone thought John was Roman. John\u2019s family talking about him mad sense, but Roman\u2019s family breaking down should have made him cringe. It\u2019s a testament to how good of a person Roman must be.<\/p>\n<p>John\u2019s funeral broke our hearts. It was so sad watching everyone talking about the kind of man John was. Knowing that Drake Hogestyn passed away in real life made the funeral scenes harder to watch. The actors did a tremendous job with the material. Their speeches made us laugh and cry. We do have some complaints about the funeral. There should have been more flashbacks while everyone was talking at the funeral. It would have really broken our hearts if they showed flashbacks. Also, there were people missing at the funeral who should have been there. The writers should have found a way to have Kimberly, Frankie, Max, Sami, Allie, Claire, Will, Theresa, etc. at the funeral. There\u2019s no reason why they shouldn\u2019t have been at the funeral.<\/p>\n<p>Is there tension between Deidre Hall and Kristian Alfonso? We noticed when Hope hugged Marlena at John\u2019s funeral, Marlena acted as if she didn\u2019t want Hope to touch her. Marlena didn\u2019t do that when Bo hugged her. Is it possible that the actresses don\u2019t get along in real life? We did read rumors that they didn\u2019t get along. After what we saw Marlena do to Hope the rumors might be true.<\/p>\n<p>When did Jack and Jennifer get a tombstone for Abby? Abby\u2019s body was missing which was why Cat was able to pretend to be her. When did they find Abby\u2019s body to put her in the cemetery? Speaking of Abby, why would Marlena have John\u2019s funeral on the anniversary of Abby\u2019s death? You would think Marlena would have picked another day to have John\u2019s service.<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed John\u2019s repass at the pub. It was nice hearing all the stories about John since we didn\u2019t see them when they first aired. The writers did a great job adding flashbacks for the stories. It was a reminder that they should have shown more flashbacks at the funeral. It also gave Marlena a chance to apologize to Roman about the memories of John making him uncomfortable.
