It’s a great PR push. Brooke back at the bedroom line.

Steffy: I just don’t think we should be putting Brooke front and center. We need to talk about this before we commit to anything.

Ridge: I’m trying to talk to you about it, but it looks like you’re on a different planet today.

Steffy: I just have a lot of things on my mind, Dad.

Ridge: Can I help?

Steffy: It’s about Hope.

[ Deacon chuckles ]

Deacon: Who wouldn’t wanna marry you? Check you out in that suit.

Deacon: I guess I clean up okay.

Sheila: Yeah, but you’re dirty in other departments, my love.

[ Deacon clears throat ]

Deacon: Hey.

Sheila: Whoa, Finn! I– I didn’t see you. We were– It is so good to see you. Look, we’re– we’re looking at wedding pictures.

Finn: Mm.

Sheila: Come on. Come take a look. You know, this is my favorite. I put a heart on it. See the hearts? It’s the one standing next to my husband and you.

Finn: Yeah, no, uh, that’s the one that was posted on the Il Giardino account. I had to explain a lot that day.

Sheila: I really didn’t even think about that, sweetheart. We were– we were just so excited and newlyweds just wanting to blast out the news. And I gotta say, it really did mean the world to us that you were there to share our special day.

Sheila: You made our wedding day all the more memorable, Finn.

Finn: Yeah, well, it’s kind of why I’m here.

Deacon: You know what, let’s, uh– let’s not overwhelm Finn with our sappy stroll down memory lane, what do you say?

Sheila: But I’m never gonna forget that. I am never gonna forget seeing you walk through that door.

Finn: Yeah, well, I wasn’t planning on being here. I was coming here to pick up food.

Sheila: Yeah, there are no coincidences in life, okay? Everything happens for a reason.

Finn: Yeah, well, either way, my presence at your wedding caused some serious trouble between Steffy and me.

Steffy: Hope is stirring things up again.

Ridge: In what way?

Steffy: I’m just so tired.

Ridge: Listen, the two of you have been knocking horns since you were kids. This is nothing new.

Steffy: I– I’m used to Hope messing with me. I learned not to let her get under my skin. But now she’s involving my husband. She’s encouraging Finn to have a relationship with Sheila. It’s like Hope and Sheila are best friends now, and that is exactly why I don’t want Hope anywhere near my husband.

Brooke: I’m right, aren’t I? Oh, God, honey, Finn’s been on your mind way too much.

Hope: I don’t know what it is.

Brooke: Just snap out of it! You can’t be thinking about Steffy’s husband like this. You do realize that, don’t you?

Hope: Mom, of course I do, and I’m trying my best to put him out of my head, but yes, I– I can’t lie to you. I– I did have a daydream about him.

Sheila: I’m sorry that Steffy reacted so negatively to you coming to our wedding.

Finn: Well, this is the one thing she asked me not to do.

Deacon: Yeah, but it wasn’t your fault. You thought we were getting hitched at the beach.

Sheila: Why can’t she just look at something through your perspective once? I mean, she’s got to know how tough all of this is on you. I mean, can’t Steffy just crack the door a little? The possibility that you might be right about me, that– that I have changed?

Finn: I think that’s asking a lot considering your past with Steffy.

Deacon: You know, Sheila’s apologized. She practically begged Steffy for forgiveness.

Sheila: I would do anything, anything to take back the pain that I’ve caused.

Deacon: You know, look, Finn, it’s one thing if Steffy doesn’t have any room in her heart for Sheila, but what’s the harm in letting you see her once in a while?

Sheila: I am not a threat to you. I– I love you and Hayes. I– I would love Steffy if she would let me.

Finn: Well, she won’t.

Deacon: You know, she just wants to be a part of your life in some way.

Finn: I just came here to tell you that I am, I’m happy that you guys are married, and I do wish you all the best. But as far as a relationship with you goes, I have to respect my wife’s wishes.

Ridge: How often do Hope and Finn get together?

Steffy: Well, I don’t think they plan it, but it is a lot. They were here in this office the other day.

Ridge: She doesn’t get to do that. She doesn’t get to try to influence Finn. He needs to learn to stay away from Sheila.

Steffy: Well, Hope has a very different opinion. She thinks that I’m wrong telling Finn to stay away from Sheila.

Ridge: She doesn’t get to do that. She doesn’t get to make that call.

Steffy: That we can agree on. That’s why I want Finn to have nothing to do with Hope.

Brooke: Oh, honey. You are dreaming about Finn?

Hope: It was a daydream that snuck up on me.

Brooke: It is reckless. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Hope: Well, I’m not going to do anything about it.

Brooke: Well, I hope not. So, what brought this on? What fueled this?

Hope: Well, I– Finn just happened to be here a little earlier.

Brooke: He was here earlier?

Hope: Yes. Beth’s fever spiked. I was really worried because we couldn’t get into the pediatrician until tomorrow, so I called Finn for advice, and then he volunteered to come over and check on her. And Mom… you should’ve seen him with her. I mean, he was just so caring and compassionate.

Brooke: Yes, of course he is, sweetheart. He’s a doctor. That’s what he does. It’s his job. It’s his nature. The way you’re talking, it’s like you’re– you’re falling for Finn. Is that what’s happening here? You really are falling for Steffy’s husband.

Deacon: Well, you gotta admit, it was kind of nice of Finn to come down and congratulate us.

Sheila: That was your takeaway from all that?

Deacon: Come on. Look, he could’ve texted. He could’ve called. But instead, he came down in person. You gotta know that you matter to your son. [ Sheila sighs ]

Sheila: I– I know that Finn loves me. He wanted to stay. He wanted to chat, have a glass of– of wine, have a moment with me, his– his mother, with us.

Deacon: Yeah, but you know Steffy would’ve freaked out. She would’ve had him packing his bags.

Sheila: Steffy, Steffy, Steffy. [ Sheila exhales ] I am so sick and tired of hearing about her and– and how she has always gotta be the one calling the shots.

Deacon: Okay, all right. But on some level, you gotta understand, right? You know, who cares, right? So she’s not gonna invite us over for brunch anytime soon. She doesn’t look like she can cook anyway.

Sheila: I hate it. Because I know if it weren’t for Steffy, I would have a future with my son and my grandson. I would have a beautiful future.

Steffy: Sheila is a vindictive sociopath. That’s all she is. She’s incapable of being anything else.

Ridge: We’re all on the same page.

Steffy: And there is no room for her in our lives.

Ridge: Of course there’s not.

Steffy: If– if Hope wants to give up any integrity she has left, then fine, she can do it. But do not bring my husband into this.

Ridge: This has nothing to do with them, really. It’s you. Your safety. The kid’s safety.

Steffy: I talked to Brooke. I told her to just please say something to her daughter. Try to find a way to get through to her.

Ridge: Well, I had that same conversation with her.

Steffy: That’s good.

Ridge: I told her I was concerned that Hope was tolerating or maybe even accepting Sheila. [ Steffy sighs ]

Finn: You’re talking about Sheila?

Ridge: Yeah, we’re talking about Sheila and you. You gotta stay away from her.

Hope: Finn has been an incredible friend to me. Especially when I’ve needed it most. I mean, we’ve had a lot of great conversations these past few weeks.

Brooke: Okay. Well, you can still talk to him over the phone about medical advice, but that is it. You can’t see him, Hope. I mean, this is crazy. You’re already teetering on the edge.

Hope: You don’t think I feel guilty about how I feel? I don’t want to feel this way, Mom. I– I know right from wrong, and the last thing I wanna do is get anywhere close to Steffy’s husband.

Brooke: I hope you mean that.

Hope: I do.

Brooke: Okay. I just don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I made.

Hope: I won’t. I just… I can’t help but feel that Steffy doesn’t appreciate him. She’s always bossing him around, telling him what to do, forbidding him from seeing his birth mother.

Brooke: Well, she has a valid point. I mean, just because your father married Sheila, it doesn’t make Sheila any less vicious.

Hope: All I am trying to say is that I can see Finn’s point of view. I understand it. Whereas Steffy, I don’t think she’s even trying to make an effort.

Brooke: Okay. Well, it’s a different circumstance. Steffy was shot, right? So you have to think about it from her side. I mean, I usually don’t agree with Steffy, but in this case, I do. I don’t think Finn should be anywhere near his mother.

Hope: Okay, but if Sheila really has changed and the kids are safe and they are protected, then why can’t we let him decide for himself? Why can’t we let him make up his own mind instead of everyone else weighing in? I mean, God, it’s just– You can’t deny that Steffy, she’s controlling him.

Brooke: Oh, honey. That’s their relationship. You need to let them deal with that. You have to stay out of it. Please tell me you understand that.

Hope: My gosh, of course I do, all right? I don’t– I don’t want to be feeling this way. I– I can’t even begin to believe that I’m even attracted to him.

Brooke: Okay, don’t say that out loud.

Hope: I can’t help it, okay? I’ve been trying to fight that feeling. It’s just, can you really blame me? He’s kind. He’s compassionate.

Brooke: Come on.

Hope: No, Mom, okay. I have a crush, right? But it’s a harmless crush. That’s all it is. It’s not going to hurt anyone, and I’m not going to let it go any further than that.

Brooke: Okay, well, you– you can’t.

Hope: I won’t. I will put a stop to these feelings before they get any more out of control.

Finn: Ridge really doesn’t mince his words, does he?

Steffy: I didn’t mean to be talking about you behind your back.

Finn: He’s your dad, right? It comes with the territory. Of course you’re gonna confide in him.

Steffy: Yeah, we’re just really concerned about Sheila. We always will be.

Finn: Honey, I know how you feel, okay? And I don’t like keeping things from you. I stopped by Il Giardino earlier. No, it’s not what you think. Sweetheart, I told Sheila that being at her wedding really upset you, and I made it clear to her that you, you are my priority. I mean, my wife and children.

Steffy: I– I appreciate that. I just wish you would avoid Sheila altogether.

Finn: I felt like I needed to talk to her face-to-face so she’d take me seriously and understand that there’s no changing my mind.

Steffy: I get that. But you have to realize when you go to see Sheila and you tell her that you need distance from her, you are sending her mixed signals.

Finn: Well, that’s never my intention.

Steffy: Babe, I– I get it. But Sheila is a psychopath. She’s a stalker. She perceives things differently.

Finn: You’re right. I guess I didn’t consider that, but I do think that I got through to her. She has to know now. She has to know how– how important you are to me. How much I love you.

Steffy: I love you too. I love you so much. And we’re so blessed. We have so many amazing things in our lives. Except Sheila. I mean, she is the source of any of our conflicts. I just wish she wasn’t in our life.

Finn: Well, she doesn’t have to be, right? Not anymore.

Steffy: Yeah, I pray that you’re right. But… I don’t think Sheila’s ever gonna wanna stay away from you. I don’t. And now Hope’s involving herself. I mean, that girl is just getting on my nerves. She is telling me that I can’t say anything to my husband about staying away from Sheila. It’s ridiculous and it’s extremely frustrating.

Finn: Hey. Come here. Listen. Honey… don’t worry about Hope, okay? She’s not gonna be a problem for us. [ Steffy sighs ]

Deacon: Well, hey there, Brooke. Fancy meeting you here. Did you come to congratulate me?

Brooke: Uh, yeah, no, I wouldn’t go that far. But I am worried about you, Deacon.

Deacon: Worried about me? Well, don’t be. I’m great. Hell, I’m better than great. I gotta tell you, it really meant the world to me that Hope came to the wedding.

Brooke: Hmm. I wasn’t thrilled about her appearance there. Actually, I haven’t been really thrilled about a lot of her decisions lately.

Deacon: What do you mean?

Brooke: Nothing.

Deacon: No, no, no. What– what were you alluding to there? Is Hope in some kind of trouble?

Brooke: No. No, it’s just… uh… Never mind.

Deacon: Brooke, if something is going on with Hope, I need to know. Please tell me. Come on. I mean, Hope’s everything to me.

Brooke: Okay, um… You can’t say a word to anybody.

Deacon: Okay, now I’m really getting concerned.

Brooke: I know. Don’t worry. It’s just maybe things have been handled and there won’t be an issue.

Deacon: What won’t be an issue?

Brooke: Our daughter is having feelings for an inappropriate man.

Deacon: Who?

Brooke: Steffy’s husband.

Deacon: Steffy’s husband?

Brooke: Don’t say it so loud. Calm down.

Deacon: Hope’s got the hots for Finn?

Brooke: Yeah, they’ve been spending a lot of time together and bonding over their mutual support of you and Sheila.

Deacon: Wait a second. They haven’t…

Brooke: No, God, no.

Deacon: Okay.

Brooke: Nothing like that.

Deacon: I mean, does Finn know how Hope feels about him?

Brooke: He thinks they’re just friends. They do spend a lot of time together. They talk to each other a lot. They confide in each other. And Hope feels that Steffy shouldn’t kick Sheila out of Finn’s life.

Deacon: Gotta agree with our daughter there.

Brooke: Okay, regardless, Hope can’t get involved in this. I mean, she knows she can’t have anything to do with Finn.

Deacon: I mean, obviously, but you’re worried thinking that Hope’s got feelings for Finn.

Brooke: Yeah.

Hope: You can’t be feeling this way. That’s Steffy’s husband.

Back to the B&B Transcripts Page

Back to the Main Daytime Transcripts Page

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1056557952271337"
     data-ad-slot="8801203268"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Bold & The Beautiful Transcript Transcript provided by Jim [ relaxing music ] Brooke: Hi, honey.
