I&#8217;ve made terrible mistakes. But do I deserve to die? Wants me gone. She wants your mother dead. Not behind bars, but dead!<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Is it bad? Whatever you&#8217;re working on? Because the expression on your face is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Oh, my god. Come in.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Now a good time to talk? Because it seems like there&#8217;s something weighing on you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Um, yeah. My wife.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: You, uh, here for a drink?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Uh, takeout. Although, I guess I gotta few minutes &#8217;til it&#8217;s ready.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Good, take a seat. Drink&#8217;s on me.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I just, uh, want you to know there&#8217;s no hard feelings, liam. You know, about you and hope. I really do wish you the best.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Ah, uh, I appreciate that.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Good. You wanna stay here and eat?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Uh, you know, I would. Uh, not a big fan of, uh, dining in here lately. Uh, just because sheila&#8217;s your star waitress, you know?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Well, you&#8217;re not gonna have to worry about that because she&#8217;s not here tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Oh. Weekly psychopath&#8217;s anonymous meeting?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Actually, I don&#8217;t know where she is.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Something&#8217;s going on with steffy. Look, I&#8211; I don&#8217;t wanna get in the middle, but if, I don&#8217;t know, if there&#8217;s anything I can do to help.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Thanks, that&#8217;s&#8211; that&#8217;s&#8211; that&#8217;s really sweet, but you&#8217;re at the hospital. I should be the one helping you. Is everything okay?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Oh, yeah, I was just, uh, on my way to the hospital pharmacy to pick up some allergy drops for douglas, and I was walking by your door, and you seemed a little intense, so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Huh.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: What&#8217;s going on? You said it had to do with steffy?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Yeah, with steffy. And sheila.<\/p>\n<p>[ Rattling ]<\/p>\n<p>[ Wind whistling ] ( )<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Steffy punched sheila.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Not unprovoked. Sheila shoved steffy first.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Okay, but sheila shouldn&#8217;t be anywhere near the kids.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I agree. She&#8217;s too dangerous. But.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: But?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I don&#8217;t like that steffy confronted sheila.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Why, because she&#8217;s your birth mother, and you don&#8217;t feel like it&#8217;s steffy&#8217;s place?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: It has nothing to do with that. It&#8217;s about wanting to know that steffy is safe. That she&#8217;s being smart. And getting in sheila&#8217;s face and punching her, I mean, how do you think that&#8217;s gonna end? I don&#8217;t want steffy saying or doing anything to incite her. And look, I am not defending her. She had no right to interact with kelly at all, period. But like it or not, sheila&#8217;s been living a pretty peaceful, quiet life. She&#8217;s working as a waitress. She&#8217;s been staying away. She hasn&#8217;t tried to inject herself into my world. It&#8217;s&#8211; it&#8217;s been pretty good. Good considering sheila&#8217;s past. So, why poke the bear?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: So, you&#8217;re afraid that steffy has overstepped and potentially awoken the sleeping sociopath that is sheila carter?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Okay. Whoa! I mean, there&#8230; no wonder you don&#8217;t have any idea where sheila is. She&#8217;s probably off somewhere licking her wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I never should&#8217;ve said a word.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: No, don&#8217;t say, no, you absolutely should have. And I&#8217;m grateful that you did, because this involves my daughter, deacon. Kelly could&#8217;ve gotten hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Kelly was never in any danger and steffy had no business getting in sheila&#8217;s face like that.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: She had no business? No business? How many times has steffy told sheila, stay away from me, stay away from my family?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: That&#8217;s exactly what she&#8217;s doing. She&#8217;s just&#8211; you know, she&#8217;s focusing on other things. She&#8217;s focusing on me and our relationship, on this restaurant, her work here. And most importantly, she&#8217;s focusing on bettering herself. Look, I don&#8217;t expect you to believe it.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I don&#8217;T. I don&#8217;t believe it. Nobody believes it. Nobody.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: It doesn&#8217;t matter. You know, I&#8217;ve had a front-row seat to watch her progress.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Okay, all right, how&#8211; you&#8211; you can buy into the whole sheila&#8217;s changed narrative all you want. You just don&#8217;t get to expect anybody else to.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I don&#8217;t expect it, liam, but it&#8217;s still true.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: What if you&#8217;re wrong? What if you&#8217;re sacrificing your relationship with your daughter for a woman who probably doesn&#8217;t give a crap about you?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: That&#8217;s not my intention.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Do you really think that you&#8217;re not pushing her away right now?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Liam, I love hope and my grandkids.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Prove it. Do something about it. Kick sheila to the curb, because you&#8217;re standing here, and you&#8217;re telling me that you don&#8217;t know where sheila is five minutes after telling me that she&#8217;s new and improved. Obviously, the fact that you don&#8217;t know where she is concerns you as much as it concerns me. It&#8217;s because you&#8217;re worried that she might be reverting back to her old, evil ways. Known for following your dreams.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I mean, it does worry you, doesn&#8217;t it? Not knowing where sheila is right now?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: What do you want me to say, liam? I mean, she&#8217;s a free woman. She can come and go as she pleases. All right, look, uh, the truth is that she&#8217;s been slipping away a lot lately.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I&#8217;m sorry, slipping? Slipping away?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: It used to be that, you know, she would&#8230; she&#8217;d hang out with me upstairs when it wasn&#8217;t her shift, you know? And now it&#8217;s like, I go to my apartment, I don&#8217;t know if she&#8217;s gonna be there or not.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Okay, do you ask her where she&#8217;s been?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: It&#8217;s a bit mysterious.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Oh, god, it&#8217;s not mysterious. She&#8217;s probably over at steffy&#8217;s house stalking them.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: No, no, don&#8217;t&#8211; don&#8217;t think that, all right? She has sworn that she wouldn&#8217;t bother either one of them.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Deacon, today. What about today?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: That was completely different. Kelly came into her space. Steffy, too. And besides, I asked her about her little disappearing acts. And she claims that she has been meeting someone from her past.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Oh, yeah, no, yeah, no, that tracks. I&#8217;m sure plenty of people from sheila&#8217;s past have just been clamoring to reconnect.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: That&#8217;s a point well taken.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: The only&#8211; the only thing about sheila&#8217;s past that she gives a damn about is the child that she gave up. She&#8217;s obsessed. Obsessed with being in finn and hayes&#8217; life and with getting steffy out of it.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: So, that&#8217;s basically what you&#8217;re saying, right? I mean, if steffy provoked sheila, then&#8230; you still think she&#8217;s a threat.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I mean, I wish I didn&#8217;t, but yeah. I&#8217;m not just gonna take her word for it that she&#8217;s somehow reformed.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: You shouldn&#8217;T. I mean, I don&#8217;t buy it. I don&#8217;t think she&#8217;s capable. She should still be in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: That&#8217;s exactly where she should be. And I know how much that angers steffy. Not just for what she&#8217;s done to us, but for everything that has happened to her over the years. I mean, my god, losing your mother for most of your childhood because of sheila? That&#8217;s traumatic enough. But then to go through what she did in that alley? Seeing me shot, thinking that I&#8217;m dead, and then have sheila turn the gun on her? I mean, I&#8217;m sure steffy has ptsd from that experience.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Anyone would. I mean, that&#8217;s not something you just get over. But I don&#8217;t know, it just seems like there&#8217;s something specific about it that&#8217;s bothering you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Ah, it&#8217;s just something else that she said and I&#8217;m just, I&#8217;m just struggling to understand it.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Okay. Try me. What did she say?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Steffy said that the only way that she will ever truly feel free of sheila is if she were dead.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: [ Whispers ] Sheila? Sheila, is that you? Bombas makes absurdly comfortable underwear.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Human life is valuable. It&#8217;s important. Even for someone as horrible as sheila. Maybe&#8230; maybe there is some potential. Not that I want her anywhere around me, but if she spent some time in a prison and maybe had time to repent, I don&#8217;t know. But seeing it from steffy&#8217;s pspective, yeah, I can see how she thinks that that&#8217;s the best solution. And what sheila has done to her is unimaginable.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: You&#8217;re a good husband. The fact that you are trying to see it from steffy&#8217;s perspective, but at the same time, I can also tell that it&#8230; it did disturb you. Steffy saying that about the woman who brought you into this world, I mean, that still hurts to hear. That she wants her dead.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I specifically told sheila to stay away from steffy and finn, and I believe her. I believe she heard me. Besides, why would she jeopardize the life that she&#8217;s building?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: The life with you?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Deacon, brother. Whatever it is that you&#8217;ve got going on with sheila, you and I both know she wouldn&#8217;t hesitate for a second to kick it to the curb if it meant having a relationship with her son. That is the single most important thing in her whole life. And guess who she thinks is standing in the way of that right now? Steffy.<\/p>\n<p>[ Cell phone rings ]<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Hey, I&#8217;m, uh, I&#8217;m just checking in. I hope you&#8217;re relaxing after everything that went down today. Got a warm bath running, about to open a bottle of wine.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Quite the opposite, actually. Nothing relaxing about this night.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: What do you mean?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: The wind&#8217;s really picked up after you left.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Oh, yeah?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, it&#8217;s pretty crazy outside. The power went out.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Oh, what, so you&#8217;re in the dark? Did you light some candles?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I&#8217;m&#8211; I&#8217;m looking for them right now. I mean, thank god the kids aren&#8217;t here. It&#8217;s pretty creepy not having any power.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Nah, I bet.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Will you please come home soon? I&#8211; I really, really need you right now.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I won&#8217;t be long. I&#8217;ll be holding you in my arms.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah, sounds like heaven. I love you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Love you too.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Bye. Sheila. I know it&#8217;s you. Get out. You stay&#8211; you stay away from me. You stay the hell away from me. I told you never come back here. Get out! Get out of my house! I&#8217;ll do it.
