And from that information, I should reasonably assume that you\u2019re no longer involved with Victoria, either?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nate:<\/strong> Whether I am or I\u2019m not, that\u2019s none of your damn business. Although, I do find it interesting that neither Victor or Victoria chose to fill you in on their activities. So, I\u2019ll reasonably assume that you haven\u2019t risen that far up in the ranks from when you were my assistant. They\u2019re still keeping you in the dark. Not exactly exactly a sign of confidence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> Mm. And a good evening to you, sir.<\/p>\n<p>*****************<strong>Sally:<\/strong> Yeah, but who you are now is still the man who admitted that he was willing to use his father\u2019s illness to take him down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> But I didn\u2019t go through with it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sally:<\/strong> You almost sound proud of that?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> Yeah, I\u2013 I kind of am. You know, it showed some maturity, some restraint on my part.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sally:<\/strong> And you know, you set the bar really low for yourself. It\u2019s still a lie, Adam. You still played everyone, including me. I really, really want to be able to trust you, but I\u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> I know. It was a precarious situation. But I finally did tell you the whole truth, okay? The old me\u2013 the old me would have buried that. But I didn\u2019T.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sally:<\/strong> You just keep lowering the bar. Eventually, it\u2019s just gonna be on the floor, just a wrinkle in the rug. Like, \u201chey, everybody, at least I didn\u2019t lie to everyone today, so give me some credit. It\u2019s the new me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> That\u2019s correct. That\u2019s totally accurate. But I am sincerely sorry that I could not let you in on what I was up to. Okay? We used to be a team.
