And it is unimaginable. The emptiness is overwhelming. Your vision of your future with your child has been taken from you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> Taken from me? No, no. Ask sally. This was my choice. Our little girl is dead because of me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki<\/strong>: That is not true.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> Well, it is to sally and she hates me for it. I mean, our little girl didn\u2019t even get to take a breath because of me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki:<\/strong> Adam, it was an impossible choice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam<\/strong>: But, I mean, you can\u2019t be surprised that I screwed up, right? \u2018Cause I\u2019m no hero, I\u2019m not like Nicholas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki<\/strong>: You saved her life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> Well, apparently, that doesn\u2019t count.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki:<\/strong> Yes, of course it does. And thank god you did.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> God? God doesn\u2019t factor into this equation because any god who makes someone choose between mother and child isn\u2019t a god that I believe in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki:<\/strong> You\u2019re angry and that\u2019s understandable, but you cannot let it consume you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam:<\/strong> I don\u2019t know. It seems to be my comfort zone these days. But, nikki, if you will excuse me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nikki<\/strong>: Adam, listen. Listen. You have a bright, wonderful son who needs you and you have people who care about you.
