Because liam saw me kiss you in rome.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Hey. Hi. I heard you were in here. Just didn&#8217;t know you were coming back today, considering&#8211; so how did it go with hope? That good, huh?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I thought I made myself clear back in rome. Look, I&#8211; I know you&#8217;re going through a lot right now. You&#8217;re freaking out about what you saw. Hope and thomas kissing and maybe you think that you made a mistake putting your trust in hope. I don&#8217;t know. But I feel bad for you. I really do. But you can&#8217;t come here and kiss me. I am a married woman, liam. Happily married. You need to respect that.<\/p>\n<p>[ Sighs ]<\/p>\n<p>[ Door opens ]<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Tried calling you. You okay? I&#8217;m sure thomas freaked when he realized his secret kiss with hope isn&#8217;t a secret after all.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Thomas was totally blindsided when I told him I knew about the kiss.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: He had no idea that anyone saw him at the colosseum with hope?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: No.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Hm.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: He was pretty upset when I told him. And he was concerned about hope and her marriage and he urged me not to say anything. But he was even more stunned to hear that I heard about the kiss from liam.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: So what happened with you and hope?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I mean, she apologized. She&#8230; asked for forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: I mean, I still can&#8217;t believe she&#8217;d do something like this. I mean, jeopardize your marriage just to kiss thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Neither can I.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: So? Were you able to do what she asked though? Have you gotten to a place where you can maybe forgive her and save your marriage?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: You know, liam warned me. My mom warned me, but I insisted that everything was fine. You know, you were his biggest fear in our marriage. And what did I do? I&#8211; I kissed you. Me. I did that&#8230; to my marriage, to my family and now my whole world is&#8230; upside down. Thomas said that they were just caught up in the moment after the preview. That&#8217;s all it was. But honestly, he didn&#8217;t really have any excuses. He wasn&#8217;t defending himself. He just feels terrible and he doesn&#8217;t want hope to end up hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: But hope had no intention of telling her husband?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I guess not.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Hm. Yeah, she put my brother in a terrible position.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: True. But thomas is a grown man. He could have stopped hope from kissing him or, you know, never been alone with her in one of the most romantic cities in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah. I don&#8217;t&#8211; I don&#8217;t see this ending well. We know that my brother has made changes in his life, wonderful changes, but&#8230; liam doesn&#8217;t buy it. He doesn&#8217;t trust him and now he doesn&#8217;t trust hope. And he&#8217;s always been able to blame thomas and he always sees hope as this innocent woman. And now I think he finally realizes that hope&#8217;s the issue and I&#8217;m sure he can&#8217;t get that image of hope and thomas kissing out of his head.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Do you think you could possibly forgive hope?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I would have to understand what&#8217;s going on with her first. Why did she do this?<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Yeah, I mean, she knows you&#8217;ve had issues with thomas for a while now. Like why would she do the one thing that would ruin your marriage?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I mean, she, you know, she told me she loves me. She asked for forgiveness, but she can&#8217;t explain why&#8211; she can&#8217;t explain why she did the thing that she wants my forgiveness for. And that scares me. I mean, how foolish do I have to be? Here I was traveling halfway across the world to show her my love and support. And it turns out she&#8217;s&#8211; she&#8217;s moved on, she&#8217;s fallen for somebody else in the eternal city, like, you know.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Yeah, if you think about it that way, it&#8217;s pretty egregious. But you&#8217;ve been in this situation before, liam. You&#8217;ve both made mistakes in the past and you&#8217;ve both been able to forgive each other for your sake and for the marriage and for the children.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah. But&#8230; what do I do if it&#8217;s just a fact that I can&#8217;t trust her anymore? Because wyatt, I&#8217;m not&#8211; I don&#8217;t wanna be that guy that doesn&#8217;t have confidence in his own marriage. That&#8217;s constantly walking around wondering if his wife is cheating on him. That&#8217;s not who I want to be and it&#8217;s not who I&#8217;m willing to become.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Okay. You sound pretty resolved about this. So what&#8211; what are you saying exactly?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I&#8217;m saying what I said to her. I&#8211; I still want a divorce.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Liam will get over this, okay? It was just a kiss.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: You know he will never see this as just a kiss.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Look, he has made plenty of mistakes in the past and you always forgave him.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: No, I know. But this is the ultimate betrayal because it&#8217;s you. And I get it. I get it. So I um&#8230; asked for forgiveness. Like, he wants to protect her at all costs. He had some kind of like visceral reaction which shows me that he&#8217;s grown. He&#8217;s not this like little boy anymore. He&#8217;s like a man.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Or this could be a sign of how deep his feelings are for hope.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah, I think it&#8217;s apparent that the feelings are mutual.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: So nothing&#8217;s changed for you? You still want a divorce.<\/p>\n<p>[ Sighs ] Man, I&#8211; I&#8217;m sorry. I just&#8211; well, how did hope take it? I mean, I&#8217;m sure she doesn&#8217;t want that.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I mean, no, she was&#8211; she was fighting for another chance, at least at first.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Okay. But what about you? Like is this&#8211; this really it? Like you want a divorce?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: No, thomas, don&#8217;t do that. I&#8211; I don&#8217;t want you feeling guilty. And yes, in the past, you may have struggled with certain things but this, what&#8211; what happened between us, that&#8217;s on me.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: No. Look, you were&#8211; you were caught up in the city. You were in rome, one of the most beautiful places and&#8211; and the success of our line. And I wanted you to bask in the glory of that and I should have just kept my distance.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Well, the thing is thomas I, um&#8211; I wanted to be close to you. I&#8217;ve, um, been fighting this for a while now and I&#8217;m not proud of it. I um&#8211; I don&#8217;t even understand it. And yet I still gave in, knowing the risks. I kissed you. And so, yes, maybe&#8211; maybe there is something wrong with me.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: No, no. Hold on. No, no, there&#8217;s nothing wrong with you. There&#8217;s never been anything wrong with you. You&#8217;re one of the most wonderful, loving, committed people&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Okay. Well, I&#8211; I don&#8217;t feel that way now. Because I might have destroyed my marriage. And you stand up for people and you have such principles. You know, I was thinking today just how grateful I am that I get to come home to you, every day. I missed you when you were away.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Have you thought this whole divorce thing through? Hm. Like, have you really thought it through? Because come on, you&#8217;re not the type of guy to rush to this kind of conclusion and throw your whole life away on a whim.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Of course, I don&#8217;t want a divorce, wyatt. I&#8211; I didn&#8217;t want any of this, but it happened.<\/p>\n<p>Wyatt: Okay. Well, I thought that the love that you and hope shared could overcome anything.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Anything but this. Anything but thomas and I&#8211; and I had been clear about that for years, but she invited him in any way. She pursued him anyway. And whether she&#8217;s willing to admit it to me or not, hope has feelings for thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay, hope. Look, I&#8211; I think you&#8217;re taking this a little too far. Right? I mean, look, you made one mistake but that doesn&#8217;t take away from the years where you have been the most amazing and wonderful wife and mother. Liam, he&#8211; he just needs time, right? To&#8211; to deal with his initial hurt and anger.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Oh, yeah, he&#8217;s hurt all right. He&#8217;s so hurt that he&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: What?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: He went to see your sister. Yeah, he wants steffy again. That same old song and dance and liam and his divided feelings. But when I&#8217;m with you, thomas, and you look at me&#8230; you make me feel like I am the only woman in the world.
