His former wife, Reiko, died of a deadly disease, Blackwood&#8217;s Syndrome, so he tried to find a cure. He had the disease as well, for years, and he was like an addict with the necessary drug to keep him alive, until he finally found the right cure. He later learned that, as a child, Elizabeth had pushed Reiko down the stairs, as a child, and Reiko caught the virus when in the hospital from that fall. Elizabeth&#8217;s father, Jeff, had an affair with Reiko while she was married to Finn.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Finn was a loner at first, but later he was revealed to have a brother, and a dad, Gregory. His younger brother, Chase, is a cop. Finn thought for a time that he might be Chase&#8217;s dad because he&#8217;d slept with Gregory&#8217;s fiance, Jackie, but it turned out that Finn is not Chase&#8217;s father. Finn&#8217;s dad, Gregory, has forgiven him, and they&#8217;re all friends again.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Finn has a daughter, Violet, from when he was with Hayden Barnes (Elizabeth&#8217;s sister). They didn&#8217;t meet until she was a toddler.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Finn almost married Anna Devane, but she lied to him about Peter August possibly being her son.\u00a0 Finn is pretty honest and forthright.
