She was revealed to be part of the Jerome crime family, which had ruled Port Charles in the 80&#8217;s. Her brother, Julian, also came to town.\u00a0 Ava had a past with both Franco and Silas. She claimed that Franco was the father of Kiki. She&#8217;d had an affair with Silas while he was married to Nina, and he was the real father.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Ava was also a cold-blooded murderer when she first arrived, but they toned down that aspect of her character as time went on. Although she is still a strong person and a force to be reckoned with (especially when crossed), she&#8217;s no longer a murderer. She tries to be a good person most of the time and has long left the family business.\u00a0 She had a daughter, Avery, with town mobster Sonny.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Ava owns an art gallery and has friendships with some of the people in town, including Nina, Trina, and Austin.
