This whole time I thought it was you that called child services. It’s thomas. He’s using– using some kind of app on a kid’s phone. What–

Brooke: How is that even possible?

Ridge: I don’t know. But it is because it sounded just like you. Thomas got what he wanted. I walked away from you. I walked away from our life. And turned to taylor.

Thomas: Hope you’re satisfied, steff. If you just kept quiet, mom and dad would be married right now.

Steffy: Oh, no. Don’t you put this on me. You’re the one who created this mess. Using the app, pinning the cps call on brooke. That was all you.

Thomas: Where the heck’s your loyalty to our family, to our mom and dad?

Steffy: Are you really saying this right now? What you did was awful. Not to mention what you did to your own son.

Thomas: Douglas is fine.

Steffy: No thanks to you. You told him to keep a secret. You put him in a terrible position. What kind of parent does that, thomas?

Thomas: I’ll make it up to him.

Steffy: You say that so cavalierly, like it’s no big deal. It’s a big deal!

Thomas: Steffy–

Steffy: A very big deal.

Thomas: Just leave it alone.

Taylor: Stop. Both of you. I cannot handle this right now.

Thomas: You’re right. You shouldn’t handle this right now. You should be married, if it wasn’t for steff.

Steffy: Me?

Thomas: Yeah.

Steffy: Me, I’m responsible? No. This is all on you. This is your fault.

Taylor: Just stop, you guys, please. You never know, maybe ridge is going to go make things right, and he’ll come back, and we’ll have a wedding.

Steffy: You see what you’re putting our mom through? This could have been one of the happiest days of her life. What you did was so dishonest and terrible, thomas. But the saddest part is I think you would do it all over again if it meant getting your way.

Paul: Becoming a regular here, mr. Spencer. The usual? You okay?

Bill: I need a double, paul, not a shrink.

Paul: Of course.

Bill: They want you to grow, to change. And then you get kicked in the teeth. What are you left with?

Paul: Is that why you have been spending so much time here recently?

Bill: Why not? Nothing and no one to go home to.

Thomas: I did what I did because I wanted mom and dad to be happily married.

Steffy: I wanted that, too. But not like this. Not based on lies and deception. Thomas, I thought you changed. I really did.

Taylor: Yeah. I thought so, too. You know what else I thought? I thought that me not telling your dad wouldn’t make a difference to us getting married. But I was wrong. God, I should have told him. It was a– it was a complete lack of judgment on my part.

Finn: My mom took the kids home. I also spoke with eric and carter. They’re assuming there won’t be a wedding today.

Steffy: We don’t know that for sure. Yes, thomas’ stupid plan threw off the day, but I know how much my father loves my mother. And I am hoping they are going to get married today.

Ridge: Thomas lied. He played all of us. Do you remember in aspen, when I asked you to just say it? Why are you pretending that you don’t know what this is?

Brooke: I don’T.

Ridge: Could you just be honest and– and say it? I just need to hear you say it.

Brooke: Say what? I– I don’t know what it is you want me to say. I mean, what do you think I did?

Ridge: And you told me you didn’t know what I was talking about.

Brooke: I didn’t know, ridge. I had no clue.

Ridge: I know that now. But then I–

Brooke: Why didn’t you just tell me? You heard my voice on that call, and I would have told you it wasn’t me. We could have gotten down to the bottom of it. Why didn’t you just believe in me? Hi, I’m angela.

Steffy: Mom, I hope you’re not disappointed in me for telling dad the truth.

Thomas: How could she not be disappointed? You blew everything sky high when you blabbed about it.

Finn: No, no, no. Do not attack steffy for telling the truth. She was trying to fix your mess.

Taylor: No. You were in a– you were in a really difficult spot. And I’m glad you said something when you did because I wasn’t going to. I– I couldn’T. It was– it was our wedding day. Your– your dad told me that– that us getting married had nothing to do with anything that brooke did. And I challenged him.

Steffy: Mom, dad knows you are in a tough position. Because of thomas.

Taylor: You know what? I– I know I was going to tell him everything tomorrow. Now… I don’t know what to expect.

Brooke: Okay. I want to know everything. Don’t leave anything out.

Ridge: Don’t leave anything out. I’ll try. I don’t know that I understand any of this myself.

[ Ridge sighing ] You um– okay. Child services showed up. Right after you said– right after you threatened that you would call them if there was anything going on with douglas.

[ Brooke scoffing ]

Brooke: I was upset and worried when I said that, ridge. I never would have handled things that way. Thomas is your son. I would have come to you first.

Ridge: I know that. You’d think I would know that. You’d think– you’d think there’s a lot of stuff that I would know. Stuff that happens right under my nose. Like watching douglas. I see him every day. I thought he was preoccupied. I thought maybe he was in ble wiomds s ionno um. That’s my boy. That’s my son.

Brooke: Oh, I can’t believe this. I mean, I knew that thomas was somehow involved, but never in a million years would I ever think he would do anything like this.

Ridge: Neither did I.

Brooke: I know you don’t want to hear this, ridge, but your son needs some serious professional help. And I’m not talking about taylor.

Ridge: I agree.

Brooke: You’re just learning about all of this?

Ridge: Douglas found some recordings on his phone and played it for steffy. And– and steffy gave the phone to thomas. And then she told me. And then she stopped the wedding.

Brooke: Oh. Okay. So, steffy and douglas and thomas, they are the ones who knew about this. What about taylor?

Ridge: Taylor knew.

Brooke: Taylor knew. Taylor knew what thomas did and she didn’t tell you the truth?

[ Brooke scoffing ] If you’re on medicare,

Paul: Another one, mr. Spencer?

Bill: Why not? I don’t have anywhere else to be.

Deacon: All by your lonesome, big guy?

Bill: And what do you want, convict?

Deacon: Just being polite to the patrons, especially the ones who’ve been coming in on a regular basis lately. Eating, drinking alone. You know, actually, I’m kind of surprised you even have time to hang out here. I mean, I– I figured you’d be gobbling up some company or, you know, putting some poor, defenseless people out of work.

Steffy: I’m so sorry, mom.

Taylor: I know.

Steffy: It’s– it’s a lot.

Taylor: It is a lot.

Steffy: But we’re going to get through this.

Finn: I just checked with eric and carter. There’s still no word from ridge.

Thomas: Maybe I should go over to brooke’S.

Steffy and taylor: No.

Steffy: No. Plus, dad needs some time to process things.

Thomas: Process whether he’s gonna kick me out of the company or the family?

Taylor: Thomas, your father was very upset. We all were. But you are his son. Ridge is never going to turn his back on you. Okay? But there will be consequences.

Steffy: Thomas, you used this opportunity to tilt things towards mom with dad. They would have found each other. Dad would have proposed to mom despite the cps call. I just wish you had faith in our parents.

Thomas: I guess we’ll find out how much faith I should have had or whether dad was lying to mom all along.

Steffy: We have no idea what’s going to happen, thomas. We don’t know. Why? Because of you. All because of you.

Brooke: How long has taylor known what thomas did?

Ridge: She found out today, just like me.

Brooke: Or before you found out. She was willing to go ahead and marry you without revealing the truth about that cps call.

Ridge: I know how this sounds.

Brooke: Ridge, she deceived you.

Ridge: She swore to me she would tell me.

Brooke: When? When was she going to tell you? When you slipped the ring on her finger, and she became your wife?

Ridge: Okay. The point is the truth is out and I came over here because you were played. I was played. And I came to apologize. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I hurt you.

Brooke: You have been over there living with taylor, sharing her bed while I am here alone and heartbroken, trying to figure out what it is that went wrong, so I could fix it. Why didn’t you just talk to me? Why couldn’t you even give me that decency? Damn it, ridge, please show me some respect.

Ridge: You’re right. I’m sorry. I’m more sorry than I can say.

Deacon: Come on, bill. It’s no fun if you just sit there and let me needle you and you don’t punch back. Or maybe you got something on your mind, and it’s not verbal jabs with a convict. Maybe… maybe big bad bill is in a funk because, wait for it, you’ve been striking out in the romance department, huh? That’s right. I knew you have been sniffing around brooke again. Pretty sure she shut you down. I mean, there’s always katie. Of course, you burned her so many times. I doubt she’ll sign on for another tour of your betrayal and disappointment. I guess there’s only one thing left to do. Welcome to the lonely hearts club, pal.

Thomas: All right, steff. I’m done being bashed by you. You may not like what I did.

Steffy: Doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel, thomas.

Thomas: I just didn’t stand around helplessly while brooke destroyed our entire family again. I exposed her and her wanting to call cps on me.

Steffy: Your lie was exposed, and now dad is furious with you, and we are all in limbo.

Thomas: And you could have just kept your mouth shut and they’d be married right now.

Finn: I’m serious. You need to stop talking to your sister like that.

Thomas: You know what? You have manipulated the situation all along to get them together. Now, you grow a conscience?

Taylor: All she did was speak up, thomas. She told the truth and it was the right thing to do.

Thomas: Even if that means you lose dad forever?

Brooke: Do you know how hard I’ve been hoping and praying for this moment? That you would come back to me and just open up? And we could talk about this and figure it out together? Ridge, I know that you’re sorry. And I know that you didn’t mean to hurt me. But today was your wedding day. And I’m still trying to grapple with that. The fact that you wanted to marry taylor and just throw away everything, everything that we’ve built together. I know that thomas and steffy and taylor still want you over there in their lives. But you know what? I can’t do this. I can’t just open my heart to you. I’m not putting you on the spot. It’s just this back and forth, it has to stop. And you’re the one who has to do it. So, what is it? What do you want with your life? Do you want to marry taylor? Or do you still want a life with me? That’s what you’re going to have to decide. Just know whatever it is, I will always love you.

Ridge: I will always love you. And you’re right. I need to take some time.

Brooke: You’ll always be my everything to me. But there’s something more important. And that is my self-respect. Yeah, it’s really taken a beating over the years, you know? And mostly because I would do anything to get whatever it is that I wanted at that moment, including you. But I’m not like that anymore. Every time I look in the mirror, I like the woman that I see. And I admire her and I respect her. And I won’t take anything less than I deserve. And now it’s your turn to figure it out. Figure out what it is that you admire in yourself, ridge. What you want out of your life. I– I can’t do it for you.

[ Brooke sighing ]

Back to the B&B Transcripts Page

Back to the Main Daytime Transcripts Page

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1056557952271337"
     data-ad-slot="8801203268"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Bold & The Beautiful Transcript Transcript provided by Suzanne Ridge: This whole time.
