I just \u2014 I \u2014 I needed to make sure that Naya had everything she needed, you know?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Devon:<\/strong> I know you did, and now that we\u2019re back home, I can spoil you and get you all your favorite things and all your favorite foods. All the curly fries you can eat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda: [<\/strong> Gasps ] Well, I have to admit that the surest and fastest way to my heart is curly fries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Devon:<\/strong> Is it?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda:<\/strong> Yes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Devon:<\/strong> Oh, good.<\/p>\n<p>[Both laugh] Well, I\u2019ll joking aside, I hope that you know that you can tell me if there\u2019s anything else you need me to do \u2014 \u2019cause I can tell that something is still weighing on you. You barely said two words on the flight back home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">****************************<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariah:<\/strong> And the doctor said the procedure couldn\u2019t have gone better. The only unfortunate thing is Tessa has to be on complete vocal rest for the next few days \u2014 so, no talking, no \u2014 no laughing or coughing or clearing your throat. And the hardest part, no singing or humming. I know. I\u2019m sorry, my little songbird. But that\u2019s kind of the best part in all of this, is I get to say sappy things to Tessa and she can\u2019t groan. So, it\u2019s kind of a win-win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sharon:<\/strong> Well, I plan on keeping you fully stocked with plenty of smoothies and decaffeinated teas while you recover. And maybe the best thing that Mariah can do for you is to stop cracking so many jokes. Tessa\u2019s not supposed to be laughing, either.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariah<\/strong>: Uh\u2026yeah. Wait, what are you trying to say?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faith<\/strong>: Uh, that we don\u2019t have to worry. Your jokes \u2014 not so funny.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariah:<\/strong> Wow. Okay, fine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faith:<\/strong> Oh! I have the best gift for this situation. You can use this instead of talking. What?<\/p>\n<p>Thank you. Obviously, Tessa could have just used her phone, but with the whiteboard, she can be more expressive \u2014 pictures, emojis. It\u2019s like carrying around her own thought bubble.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariah<\/strong>: That\u2019s a very good point. You know, we can also play hangman or ticktacktoe, draw charades. Very good gift.
