I have to let my family know that I&#8217;m alive.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: This is all wonderful and good, but you&#8217;re doing too much too soon. You&#8217;ve got to take your time.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Move.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Sheila carter was exactly where she belonged&#8211; in a prison cell behind bars. She couldn&#8217;t hurt my family, couldn&#8217;t hurt anybody. That&#8217;s justice. But now she&#8217;s running around free&#8230; because of you.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Hey, sweetheart.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Are you okay?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yeah. It&#8217;s just, um&#8230; it doesn&#8217;t get any easier, does it? I don&#8217;t think I can come into this restaurant without thinking about sheila shooting steffy and finn.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: It&#8217;s good to see you.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: It&#8217;s good to see you. I&#8217;m sorry, dad. I didn&#8217;t mean to be such a downer to start.<\/p>\n<p>Deaco oh, hey, hey. Listen. I get it. I mean, I have to work here, but there&#8217;s not a day that goes by that I don&#8217;t come through that door and feel like I&#8217;m being smacked in the face with the weight of that shooting. You know, in the alley finding finn and steffy. Finn dead. Steffy&#8230;so damn close.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Must have been horrific for you.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Yeah. It still haunts me. Me and everybody who loved finn. I just&#8211; so much pain and loss. You know, a good man gone. For what? For no reason. And his family&#8217;s left behind to struggle without him. And it&#8217;s all because of sheila. And there&#8217;s not a damn thing that&#8217;ll change that.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I don&#8217;t know why I&#8217;m being accused here. I was as surprised by sheila&#8217;s escape as anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: And you expect us to believe that?<\/p>\n<p>Baker: According to mr. And mrs. Forrester here, you and sheila were partners in crime back in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I&#8211;I&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Something you neglected to mention when she was remanded into this facility.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I knew her. Everybody did. It&#8217;s not like we were joined at the hip.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: [Scoffs] That&#8217;s not how I remember it.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Where is she? What are you doing? We don&#8217;t have to listen to your lies right now.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Where is she, mike?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Where is she?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: You&#8217;ve got to listen to me. Your health is my number-one priority right now. You&#8217;re jeopardizing your recovery by rushing things.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I have to get to steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Oh. I know. I know, and you will as soon as you&#8217;re physically able.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Don&#8217;t stop me.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I&#8217;ve got to get you back in bed. Finn! Finn. (Rose h) smoking caused my lung cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Being the one to find finn and steffy shot had to be traumatizing. So&#8230; please tell me you&#8217;re thinking of talking to someone.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I am. I&#8217;m talking to you.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Dad. I mean professional help. And taylor does not count. She&#8217;s too close to the situation. Although I&#8217;m sure she could refer you to someone.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: That&#8217;s very sweet of you. That means everything to me, but I do not need a shrink. Besides, sheila&#8217;s the one who needs the professional help.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: And to be behind bars. But, unfortunately, she&#8217;s out running around somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: What the hell. I mean, how do you just sail out of jail like that? Because I gotta tell you, it ain&#8217;t that easy. Trust me.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Well, apparently, she might have had help.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Huh. Well, that doesn&#8217;t really surprise me. Sheila can be very persuasive.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Hmm. But not to you, right? You immediately saw her for what and who she is?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Immediately? I see now. You know, it&#8217;s a little hard not to. I think I see where this is going. You wanna make sure that I haven&#8217;t been in touch with sheila and that I&#8217;m not covering for her.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I haven&#8217;t and I&#8217;m not. Hope, I wouldn&#8217;t lie to you. Please tell me you believe me.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Have a seat, officer guthrie.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: No, I&#8217;m good.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Sit down. Officer guthrie, I&#8217;m sure you can understand why emotions are running high. Steffy forrester was shot, her husband killed by sheila carter, a prisoner no longer in our custody. I&#8217;m sure you can understand why mr. And mrs. Forrester are upset.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: Sure. Anyone would be.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Exactly. They&#8217;ve got a legitimate cause for concern. Sheila&#8217;s targeted the family many times over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Something you&#8217;re well aware of.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: It&#8217;s not a stretch to think that she would come after them again.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Especially now. She&#8217;s got nothing to lose.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: You know how these things work. Escaped prisoners only stay free for so long. It&#8217;s only a matter of time before sheila is found, captured, and returned to custody. And anyone who abetted her will be incarcerated also.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: As it should be.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Of course if that person should cooperate and help us bring sheila in, that cooperation would be taken into consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I get that.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: Wonderful. So I ask you, officer guthrie, did you help sheila carter escape from this prison?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Look at what you&#8217;ve done. I told you to be still.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I&#8211;I can&#8217;T&#8230; stay here.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: You have to, baby, just a little while longer. Let me help you. Let me help you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Don&#8217;t touch me.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I couldn&#8217;t leave you on the floor.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I need to be with steffy. Do you wanna help me? Just let me call her and just&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Soon, finn. Look, I can&#8217;t let you reinjure yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: [Moaning]<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I can&#8217;t let you set back all this amazing progress that you have made, honey. Okay, I&#8217;m not gonna let you go backwards, not after how hard I&#8217;ve worked to save you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Look, just stay away from me.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Why do you say that when I&#8217;m trying to help you? Please, would you just let me?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: All I want is to be with steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: And you will be. You will be when you&#8217;re ready. Why won&#8217;t you trust me?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Are you serious?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I love you, finn. You&#8217;re my son. And I want is to see you happy and with your family, but you can&#8217;t force your strength back. You&#8211;you have to let that strength come back naturally. And when it does, I swear to you I will get you back to steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Now, sheila. Now.<\/p>\n<p>If you have this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Finn: If you don&#8217;t know, I&#8217;m happy to tell you. This&#8211;this bond that we have, my beautiful daughter, this is the most meaningful, most important relationship in my life. I would never do anything to jeopardize that. Nothing that would&#8230; take a chance on you losing your faith in me, your trust in me. So when I tell you that I haven&#8217;t spoken to sheila, I haven&#8217;t seen sheila, I&#8217;m telling you the truth, and I hope you believe you.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: I do. Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: I mean, I get it. It makes sense to be concerned about where sheila might be, you know, what direction she might come from when we least expect it. She&#8217;s dangerous. And ridge and taylor and brooke, they&#8217;d be nuts not to be worried about the fact that she just broke out of prison. But&#8230; I do have to give credit where credit is due. She is an unbelievable con artist.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Well, so much so that they think that the guard on duty that night was the one who helped sheila break out. And you know what his name was? Mike guthrie.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Guthrie.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: In my department, we&#8217;re brothers. We support each other, even if we miscalculate, make a mistake. None of us is perfect. We all fall. But we help each other back up. If you had something to do with sheila&#8217;s escape, I&#8217;m not gonna lie. There will be a price to pay. But if you cooperate, admit what you did and help us to bring her in, I will personally see that your case benefits.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: That&#8217;s stand-up of you, chief, but I didn&#8217;t do anything wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: No? That&#8217;s it? That&#8211; that&#8217;s the story you&#8217;re telling? You know who I am, right? You know who she is. And we know who you are. You had past dealings with sheila. We all know about that.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I&#8217;m not denying our paths crossed from time to time. But nobody asked.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh, come on, mike. You and sheila were close.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: You&#8217;re exaggerating. Like I said, I knew her. Look, I was different back then. I liked to walk on the wild side. I don&#8217;t do that anymore. I&#8217;m one of the good guys now. I protect and serve.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: [Laughs]<\/p>\n<p>Mike: Check my record. It&#8217;s clean.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Guthrie! No one wants to play this game with you. No one! That bitch shot my daughter. She killed her own son. And you know more than you&#8217;re saying. You know you do. What is it? Where is sheila? Where is she?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: All right, stop.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Let me see her.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I shouldn&#8217;t be surprised you&#8217;re so stubborn. You are your mother&#8217;s son after all.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: We&#8217;re nothing alike,<\/p>\n<p>you freaking psycho.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I am so proud of you. But you can&#8217;t do this anymore. You got to be kind to your body. It&#8217;s been through&#8230; terrible trauma, and it needs&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Because you shot me.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: &#8230;My strong, beautiful son. You&#8217;ll be back to steffy in no time. As long as you don&#8217;t jeopardize your recovery. And I&#8217;m here to make sure that you don&#8217;T. I&#8217;m gonna take care of you, finn. Your mama is always gonna take care of you.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: [Weakly] I just&#8211; I&#8217;m just trying to make sense of everything.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Yeah. Of course you are.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Like, uh&#8230; like the death certificate. Was&#8211; was that real?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: It is.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: How? &#8216;Cause if I was dead, how did you&#8230; bring me back to life? Go with simparica trio it&#8217;s triple protection made simple!<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Sheila and mike were pretty tight back in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Okay. That&#8217;s why it rings a bell. So either this guy is a bad apple who can be threatened or bought off, or maybe he&#8217;s just a dumb schmuck who&#8217;s hung up on sheila.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: [Groans] Ugh! Yuck! Dad, come on. Sheila carter is a horrible person. Who would wanna be with that?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Yes, but to a certain kind of guy, it&#8217;s like catnip.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Seriously?<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: Do not underestimate sheila&#8217;s appeal. That what makes her so lethal. She&#8217;s a&#8211;an emotional chameleon. One minute she&#8217;s&#8211;she&#8217;s soft and she&#8217;s needy and she&#8217;s vulnerable. She&#8217;s all, &#8220;oh, you know, nobody understands me. I just wanna be loved.&#8221; And you wanna reach out, man. You wanna help her. You wanna take care of her. And then next thing you know, boom. She&#8217;s got a gun to your head or somebody else&#8217;S.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: [Scoffs]<\/p>\n<p>Deacon: All right, anyway, where are we with this guthrie guy?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: [Scoffs] Brooke and ridge went with chief baker to question him, so hopefully we will find out where sheila&#8217;s hiding as we speak.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Protecting sheila is a really bad idea, &#8217;cause she would throw you under the bus so fast you wouldn&#8217;t know what hit you.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: I told ya. I didn&#8217;t have anything to do with her getting away.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: How do you do that? How do you make everything you say sound like a lie?<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Is there somebody you love, mike?<\/p>\n<p>Mike: Of course.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: What if there was a psychotic monster out there on the streets that shot your daughter, killed your wife? Would you want that person brought to justice? That&#8217;s all we want&#8211; justice for finn and for steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: For the last time, I don&#8217;t know where she is.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Why do you talk to this guy? He&#8217;s a liar.<\/p>\n<p>Mike: Believe what you will.<\/p>\n<p>Baker: My best advice? Give sheila up. Because we will find her, guthrie. It&#8217;s only a matter of time.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Yes, mikey. We&#8217;re gonna find her. When we do, you&#8217;re not gonna be working in this prison. You&#8217;re gonna be living here.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: So, I&#8217;m considered officially, legally dead.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Yes. The hospital gave up on you. But your mother never did.<\/p>\n<p>[Monitor beeping] No, because she wouldn&#8217;T. And that&#8217;s why you are here very much alive.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: So, you brought me back to this place all by yourself?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: You didn&#8217;t get here on your own.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: How did you get me out of the morgue?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: You&#8217;re full of questions, aren&#8217;t you?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: You had to know I would be eventually.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Don&#8217;t worry about how I got you here. Just know that you&#8217;re recovering and you&#8217;re gonna walk right back into your old life.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Because of you.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: I&#8217;ve been taking care of you for some time, and it has been my honor and joy watching you recover under my care, &#8217;cause I&#8211; I wouldn&#8217;t give up on you, finn. I wouldn&#8217;t do that because I love you too much.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: What exactly did you do?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: What?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: What steps did you take to&#8230;bring me back and to keep me alive?<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Oh, whatever&#8211; whatever is necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: No, I want the specifics. I&#8217;m a doctor. I wanna know. Like what&#8211; what treatments? What&#8230;procedures? What medications? Well, it can&#8217;t be that hard. You know what you did. You know what you gave me. I mean, I was&#8211; I was unconscious for a long time. How did you feed me? With an iv? Nasogastric tube? I mean, how did you know how much to give me, how many calories, how much protein, how much feed? Where did you know how to get it? You don&#8217;t even know, do you? Because you&#8217;re not a doctor. And you haven&#8217;t been a nurse for years.<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: All right. Fine. I wasn&#8217;t the one that saved you, not at first.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Who? Who else got me here? Who else knows I&#8217;m alive? Look at me, sheila. Tell me. I deserve to know the truth. Tell me!<\/p>\n<p>Sheila: Okay, fine.
