You want something?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: No, thank you. I&#8217;m not hungry.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: You okay? You&#8217;re kinda quiet. It&#8217;s kinda of, uh, quiet quinn day here.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Just thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah. About, um, the conversation we had the other day?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: I was just&#8230; thinking about how things can change. How you can make one mistake and it can change the direction of your entire life. Hohard it is, to find your way back. I was thinking about our marriage, and how it made me feel. I felt so sure of myself. Like I belonged here. I just&#8211; I want to feel that way again. And I hope you do, too.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: So, I don&#8217;t mean to pry, but, uh, but how are you doing with this whole paris thing?<\/p>\n<p>Zende: I&#8217;m okay.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Yeah. You&#8217;re going out?<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Been out a couple days.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Guy like you, you should be out every night.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Listen, uncle. It&#8217;s not really my thing. I&#8217;m looking for a more meaningful connection.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Like what you had with paris. I&#8217;m here if you need to talk. I mean, I&#8211; I can see how much you miss her.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Listen to me. Getting all heavy. You going to the club today?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I&#8217;m not sure. I haven&#8217;t decided yet.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: You get so much enjoyment from being there. I&#8217;m surprised you don&#8217;t go there every single day.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Take your lips off my daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Mom, you&#8211; you can&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I&#8217;m your mother. So yes, I can. Take your hands off my girl.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: You haven&#8217;t told her?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Well&#8230; um. Look, mom. I asked you to please just stay out of this.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Not when I know this isn&#8217;t what you want. This man is not serious about you. You cannot depend on him. The future you want is not going to be with carter.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: It&#8217;s already happening. (Asaad) when I was little,<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: So did you ever pick up anything between carter and paris?<\/p>\n<p>Zende: No, you?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: No, I&#8211; grace came in here, [Indistinct], And I&#8211; I didn&#8217;t believe it.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Yeah, uh, let me guess, she asked you to stop it, huh?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Mm hm. She definitely wasn&#8217;t as okay with it as you are.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: &#8220;Okay with it&#8221; might be a bit of a stretch, ridge.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Did carter misunderstand you?<\/p>\n<p>Zende: No. I mean, I told them that I would not stand in their way, and I meant it. If carter can make paris happy, then I wish them all the best. But&#8230; thinking about them together is tough, especially remembering all the things that he said to me when I used to talk to him about her. I mean, he&#8217;s my friend, right?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I know, I&#8217;m having trouble with that too.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: I&#8217;m not going to rip on the guy.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I&#8217;m not either. But I do have questions.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Quinn, if you&#8217;re wondering if you and I feel the same, the same way, I think we do.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: That&#8217;s good to hear.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Everyone wants to feel appreciated and secure, especially in their relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: True.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: But what about love? And passion? I mean, those are the two things that&#8211; that connect you to someone that only the two of you share. You can&#8217;t just&#8211; snap your fingers and&#8211; and&#8211; and make that happen no matter how much you want to. Building a lasting relationship it takes trust and it&#8217;s built over time.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: I agree.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Well, you&#8217;d think that would be obvious to everybody.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: By everybody, you mean carter?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: What?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: You mentioned carter, the other day. Um, there&#8217;s something that you&#8217;re concerned about, a decision he&#8217;s about to make.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: I don&#8217;t want to talk about carter. I don&#8217;t&#8211; I don&#8217;t wanna upset you.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: No, no, no. That&#8217;s all right. I mean, if there&#8217;s something going on with carter, I want to know about it.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: What&#8217;s that on your finger?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: The most beautiful ring I&#8217;ve ever seen in my life. Carter asked me to marry him last night, and guess what I said? We want to get married right away.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Right away?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Yeah. Carter says he can pull this wedding off this week, so&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Grace: This week?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I&#8217;d marry your daughter today, if I could.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: No, this is not happening.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: What?<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Take the ring off, and give it back.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Mom.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I won&#8217;t let you do this, paris.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: I&#8217;m not asking for permission. I&#8217;m sharing my good news with you.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: And what&#8217;s good about it? My beautiful daughter is giving her heart away to a man who&#8217;s done very little to earn it.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter and I kept our attraction private in the beginning&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Because you knew it was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Why can&#8217;t you just be happy for me?<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I would be. If I thought carter was the right man for you, but he isn&#8217;T.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: That&#8217;s not your decision to make.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Aren&#8217;t you going to say anything?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Grace, I know this may seem fast, but I&#8217;m certain this is the right path. I want to start our future with your daughter right now.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: That&#8217;s what I need you to explain. What&#8217;s the rush to get my daughter to the altar?<\/p>\n<p>With less moderate-to-severe<\/p>\n<p>eczema,<\/p>\n<p>Grace: If you&#8217;re so certain about your future with paris, why not take your time? Give her a real courtship?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: What does that even mean?<\/p>\n<p>Grace: It means you deserve more than a ring and a promise, honey. Have you even talked about it? Have you made any plans? Or did this proposal just come out of the blue?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter loves me, and he wants me to be his wife. I am so sorry this is happening.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: No, she&#8217;s trying to protect you. I understand.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: She&#8217;s not being fair.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I just asked a simple question.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter answered it. If we both know what we wanna do, there&#8217;s no reason to wait.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Oh, I could think of quite a few reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter. I need to speak to my mom in private.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: It&#8217;s okay.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: That man wants to run off and do a quickie wedding. Do you not have the sense to stop and think and ask yourself why? Come on, baby. This is wrong. This whole thing is wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: It&#8217;s not my place to judge carter, or his personal decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: So this doesn&#8217;t involve the company?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Well, I mean it&#8211; it could have ramifications for the company. I&#8211; I didn&#8217;t talk to you about it because I thought carter would come to his senses, but clearly he hasn&#8217;t!<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Whoa, whoa, what do you mean, what&#8217;s he done? He took a ring that I was working on and he gave it to paris as an engagement ring.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: He proposed?<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well&#8211; I know that&#8211; that zende and paris broke it off, I know that, but&#8211; but, uh, I had no idea that carter and paris felt this way about each other.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: I know. It&#8217;s surprising. That&#8217;s why I was so concerned. And&#8211; and, look, I- I know that&#8211; that paris, she&#8217;s obviously smitten with carter, but I&#8211; I don&#8217;t I don&#8217;t think that carter feels the same way about her.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Why? I mean, he proposed.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yes, but he just wants to move on with his life and&#8211; and meet someone. He wants to build a future with someone.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: And you don&#8217;t think paris is the one? Has he said anything to you to make you question his commitment to paris? Do you think he&#8217;s not in love with her?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Got specs for the new sewing equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Hold on a second. Close the doors. I was just talking to zende about you.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: How&#8217;s he doing?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You know, he&#8217;s having trouble accepting your relationship with paris.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Hm. Well, he&#8217;s not the only one.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Grace buckingham is not a fan.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Heh. No. And I&#8217;m sorry she dragged you into this&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Let me ask you something. Why did I have to hear from her, that there&#8217;s a new woman in your life?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Well, I wasn&#8217;t sure how to tell you.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Well, maybe you&#8217;re just not sure. Is that what you want? Really? A future with paris?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I have to, now.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You have to, now? What does that mean?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I proposed to her. I asked paris to be my wife. I have moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I wish I could be overjoyed for you. I really do.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: You&#8217;re not even trying, though. You took one look at the ring and you said, &#8220;no, this is not happening.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Because I&#8217;m concerned, honey. You know how I feel about carter. His history with your sister and with eric forrester&#8217;s wife! And now he proposes to you out of nowhere?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: I get it. You want me to be with zende.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: This isn&#8217;t going to end well. You have to trust me on this.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter is not dad.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I know my failed marriage with your father has a lot to do with it. And I wish I could have taught you and your sister what a loving and committed relationship looks like. But I wish you weren&#8217;t so blinded by big talk.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: It&#8217;s not big talk. Carter really wants to be with me. I&#8217;m his future.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Honey, he&#8217;s saying all the right words. But I&#8217;m just not buying it. There is something else going on here.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Do I think carter loves paris?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well, yeah, of course he does. He proposed to her.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah. That&#8217;s a&#8211; it&#8217;s usually a pretty good indication.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah, it&#8217;s just surprising at how fast it was, how quickly it happened.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah, that&#8217;s what I mean. I mean, paris is&#8211; is getting out of one relationship and jumping into a marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Well, it&#8217;s pretty impulsive. I know it&#8211; it seems that way, but, uh, carter has been looking for a&#8211; a relationship and love for a very long time, and if he&#8211; he thinks he&#8217;s found it with paris, then good, then good. I&#8217;m glad he&#8217;s going for it.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn: Yeah, well, love can make you do some pretty crazy, reckless things.<\/p>\n<p>Eric: Yeah, it can. But what better reason than, uh, than love to do something reckless? So if this works out between the two of them, this is where it&#8217;s going, then good for them. I&#8217;m happy. I hope it works out.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You proposed to paris? You kidding me?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Why&#8211; why? Why would I kid about that?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Uh&#8211; no one even knows that you&#8217;re dating.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: We kept our relationship private.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You kept it secret.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Okay, well, not anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Not anymore. Because you are getting married. What are you&#8211; she was with zende five minutes ago, and now you&#8211; you guys&#8211; what? You&#8217;ve been dating a couple of weeks? What&#8217;s&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Carter: What&#8217;s the matter? Why should we wait? For what? We&#8217;re not gonna change. What&#8217;s gonna change in a month? In a year? Not my feelings. Not what I want, ridge. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m proposing. I want to move on. I want to move forward. I wanna start living a life that makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: This makes sense?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Yes. Yes, it does. It&#8217;s the first thing in a very long time. And you know what? I&#8217;m&#8211; I&#8217;m not debating with you. I get why grace and zende may have issues, but I was counting on my best friend to be supportive.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I am going to be supportive. I&#8217;ll support you as soon as I understand what it is that you&#8217;re doing. You&#8217;ve been telling me for years you&#8217;re waiting for this one woman, the woman that makes your heart skip a beat. The woman that you see in your dreams. Is that paris? Is it? She&#8217;s the love of your life?<\/p>\n<p>Eric: It&#8217;s okay, quinn. I know you still care about carter. And you&#8217;re worried. You don&#8217;t think that paris is the woman he truly loves?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Paris is a beautiful young woman and she&#8217;s kind. And I&#8211; I know you respect her.
