Your mommy&#8217;s gonna love it, right?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: We did not have as much time as we wanted to prepare, but kelly really wanted to make something special for steffy. I, uh&#8211; I wasn&#8217;t sure that this was-<\/p>\n<p>[ Hayes babbling ] Exactly, it wasn&#8217;t gonna happen. Uh, you know? I don&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: I know. We&#8217;re so lucky that steffy&#8217;s coming back home.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Uh-oh, I think I hear somebody. Are you guys excited to see your mom?<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: Yeah!<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Hello, hello. Special delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: There she is!<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Hi, baby. Aw, I missed you so much.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: I made you a sign.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: You did? Aren&#8217;t you the sweetest little girl there ever was?<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: I&#8217;m not little. I&#8217;m a big girl.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yes, you are. Gosh, you have grown so much since I&#8217;ve been gone. But I&#8217;m home now. Mommy&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Beth is finally asleep. Three books later.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Only three? I think you got off easy there.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah, well, I failed to disclose it was the same book over and over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Well, uh, douglas was thrilled to head to his sleepover. So, now we finally have some time to ourselves to&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Awesome.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: &#8212; Decompress. I know, um, things have been pretty stressful for everyone, so&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah, no, it&#8217;s been a&#8211; it&#8217;s been a rollercoaster. Although steffy&#8217;s being discharged, which is&#8211; which is really nice. So, that&#8217;s good.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yes. It&#8217;s the best news we&#8217;ve gotten in a while.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah. Bittersweet. I mean, with finn not being there when she gets home. I just&#8211; I just know that steffy is really, like, raw, both emotionally and physically. And I also don&#8217;t know how that&#8217;s going to affect kelly. And i just feel like I should really be there for all of them&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Liam. Liam.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: &#8212; Tonight, just to preside over&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Liam.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Steffy knows how supportive you are. So, let them have their family moment tonight, and then you can see her in the morning.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: I made these for you.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: You did? Oh, my goodness. How do you know these&#8211; these are my favorite?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: You&#8217;re doing such a good job making your mommy feel special.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: So, uh, sis, can i get you anything? Like water, tea, lollipop?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Lollipop, I&#8217;ll take you up on that later. I don&#8217;t think anyone wants a lollipop&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: Me!<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay. Round of lollipops coming up.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Hey, you know you have to take it easy on your mom. She just got here.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Don&#8217;t tell grandpa, but we&#8217;re gonna have a big dance party as soon as I can.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Oh!<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yes. Yes, we are. Because we have a lot to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Uh, kelly, do you want to show me where your mom &#8220;hides&#8221; the candy? Yeah? All right, come on.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Come here, big guy. Come on, you&#8217;re coming with me.<\/p>\n<p>[ Ridge making baby noises ]<\/p>\n<p>[ Ridge and thomas chatting ]<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Hi, baby.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: How I do this, mom? How do I do this without finn? Is hayes ever gonna understand that his father&#8217;s never coming home?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I wish I could just shut the worrying off, but I can&#8217;t, so&#8230; I don&#8217;t know, I just hope steffy and the kids are okay.<\/p>\n<p>[ Phone ringing ] Ha! Hey. I was just about to text you.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: Daddy.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Kelly? Hey, sweetheart. Is, uh&#8211; is mommy there?<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: She&#8217;s home, daddy. Mommy&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I know. I know. Isn&#8217;t that amazing? I bet you&#8217;re so, so, so, so happy. Does mommy know that you have her phone?<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: No. I want you to be here, too. Please, daddy, can you come?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Um&#8230; yes, of&#8211; of course I&#8217;ll come. I&#8217;ll&#8211; I&#8217;ll see you soon. Okay. Bye, sweetheart. Uh, that was kelly. As you might have guessed.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Mm-hmm.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Um&#8230; she wanted me to come over to the house. And just given the circumstances, I know that you really wanted a quiet night together, but I can&#8217;t&#8211; I can&#8217;t say no to my daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: No, no. Of course not.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Okay. I&#8217;ll be home soon. I&#8217;ll check in. Okay?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I love you. I love you.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Love you.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Okay. Bye.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Bye.<\/p>\n<p>[ Door shutting ]<\/p>\n<p>[ Brooke chatting indistinctly ]<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Uh, honey. I just, uh, saw liam leaving. I thought you two were staying in tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yeah, I, um, thought so, too. But he went over to go be with steffy. Now glossy hair starts<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Steffy survived a gunshot wound and she made it back to her kids. That&#8217;s huge. That is something to be celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Yes, it&#8217;s a tremendous relief. We&#8217;re all very grateful that steffy&#8217;s on the mend.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yeah. And I mean, I get ridge wanting to be there for his daughter to welcome her home and help get her settled in. I mean, I&#8217;m sure he probably threw her a party or something. It&#8211; it&#8211; I love that about him.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, I love that about him, too.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: But, you know, I also wish that maybe he weren&#8217;t staying in steffy&#8217;s guest house and maybe he could be staying at home with you&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: I have faith that that will change. And as far as you wanting liam to be home with you right now, don&#8217;t worry, honey. He will be back soon.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Mom, no, I know. I&#8217;m just&#8211; I know kelly will be overjoyed to see her dad and steffy will appreciate the visit.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: It&#8217;s gonna be an incredible homecoming. They&#8217;re all gonna be so happy that steffy is recovering.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yeah. Steffy&#8217;s putting on such a&#8211; a brave face for those kids, you know, trying to stay strong. But I mean, all the while, there&#8217;s this dark cloud hanging above all our heads, which is this empty space that finn left behind.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy&#8217;s: Finn&#8217;s gone. I just&#8230; it&#8217;s like he&#8217;s gone forever. I mean, it doesn&#8217;t make sense. Like, that&#8217;s it? That&#8217;s all you get? That&#8217;s it?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: It&#8217;s profoundly unfair. Finn should be here. Hayes should have his father.<\/p>\n<p>[ Hayes giggling ]<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I can&#8217;t even imagine how scared finn was&#8230; in those last moments. I&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: No, no, I can&#8217;t imagine. Honey, I am gonna be here for you as&#8211; as&#8211; as much as i possibly can be. I promise you. But tonight, just&#8211; let&#8217;s&#8211; let&#8217;s focus on the good, okay? You&#8217;re&#8211; you&#8217;re home and you&#8217;re&#8211; you&#8217;re reunited with your kids.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: When do I say something?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: We will figure that out, baby. I promise you, but&#8230; not tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Hey, baby. Oh.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: I missed you, mommy.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: You have been such a courageous big sister. Thank you for taking care of your little brother. And thank you for rallying around the kids and me. I don&#8217;t think I would&#8217;ve been able to make it through without your love and encouragement.<\/p>\n<p>[ Door opening ]<\/p>\n<p>Kelly: Daddy!<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Hey! Come here, kid. Oh! God, you&#8217;re getting big.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Liam.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Hey. So, is&#8211; it&#8217;s okay I stopped by, yeah?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I was just catching up.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah. Well, this is nice to see for me. I mean, you on this couch with this kid, in this house, surrounded by all the people who love you and that you love. If you have type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Oh. Liam just texted and said that he is going to be a little longer at steffy&#8217;S. Oh.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Really? It&#8217;s already kind of late.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: I&#8217;m sure it&#8217;s fine. And he will call me on his way home.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Well, I think it&#8217;s admirable that he wants to be there for steffy and kelly. That&#8217;s the kind of man he is. And I know he&#8217;s under a lot of stress because of the shooting. But still, you&#8217;re his wife.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Ah, mom. Look, I have come to accept the fact that steffy and liam are always going to be connected. They are. I accept that. It&#8217;s just&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>[ Sighing ] Okay, fine.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: What?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Maybe I overheard something when I was at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Like what?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: No, it&#8217;s nothing. It&#8217;s&#8211; he was probably just trying to be sweet and reassure steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh, okay. Something is making you very uncomfortable.<\/p>\n<p>No, it&#8217;s just&#8211; mom, it&#8217;s the same old stuff of, &#8220;oh, steffy, you&#8217;re always going to have a place in my heart. And hope is, too, and sometimes that can be hard to hea&#8230; hi, thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Hi, thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Um, I&#8211; I&#8211; i honestly just came by to say goodnight to douglas.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Did you not get my text? He actually&#8211; he left for that sleepover at damien&#8217;S.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I&#8217;ve been driving in the car. I haven&#8217;t&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Hope: I&#8217;m sorry. I feel bad you drove all this way for&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: That&#8217;s all right. It&#8217;s&#8211; I can just&#8211; I&#8217;ll see him in the morning. But I couldn&#8217;t help but overhear when I walked in. About what liam said to steffy. Look, I don&#8217;t want to sound like a jerk, but I&#8217;m not surprised. I mean, liam&#8217;s always gonna love steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Storytime, check.<\/p>\n<p>[ Sighing ] I got to tell you. You know, if somebody told me you were just discharged from a hospital, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d believe him. You look like you&#8217;re ready for a runway.<\/p>\n<p>[ Ridge chuckling ]<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I feel like I&#8217;ve been hit by a semi.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Your body is still healing, sweetie.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I just wish I could have put hayes to bed. You know, it&#8217;s been so long.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Well, you&#8217;ll get there one step at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: It was really sweet of you to stop by. I wasn&#8217;t expecting that.<\/p>\n<p>[ Liam laughing ]<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Uh, confession. Uh, I think I got a little nudge from a certain someone. Our daughter stole your phone and called me to tell me to come over.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Seriously?<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah. I&#8211; you know, she&#8217;s excited you&#8217;re home and I think she was feeling celebratory.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I can&#8217;t believe that. What a stinker.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Just like her mom.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: And her grandmother.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Well, we have some strong genes in our bloodline.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Oof, that&#8217;s an understatement.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Oh. I just wish I knew who did this to finn and to me.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: All right. Let&#8217;s&#8211; let&#8217;s just enjoy what we have. You&#8217;re home. You&#8217;re doing better. Kids are healthy.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah. We understand that you&#8217;re grieving, you&#8217;re experiencing every emotion in the book. Liam has always loved steffy.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Mm.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: You&#8217;re a very compassionate person, right? And you want to be very cool with all of this, right? But it doesn&#8217;t change the fact that he&#8217;s over there taking care of his ex and their child. Look, I&#8211; I&#8217;m just kind of worried about you. I don&#8217;t want to see you getting hurt. I also&#8211; I don&#8217;t want you to be in, um&#8211; in the same position that your mom is. With a man whose heart is split between two women.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Kelly is conked out.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: That&#8217;s good. I get the feeling this has affected her more than we realize.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Yeah, it has. But I think she&#8217;s gonna sleep pretty soundly tonight knowing her mom is right here in the other room. And you, look at you. You need rest. I think I might take off in a minute, okay?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Please don&#8217;t go. I don&#8217;t want to be alone tonight. I have so many firsts ahead of me. First night without finn. First cup of coffee in the morning. The first time hayes calls out for his daddy.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: It&#8217;s too much. It&#8217;s just too much. I wish you didn&#8217;t have to go through any of this.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Like, I&#8217;m grateful to be back, but, like, all of the memories of finn. Like, oh, my god, I keep on thinking I hear his car pull up or he&#8217;s gonna walk through the door. But he&#8217;s not. He&#8217;s never coming back.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: Oh, my god. I&#8217;m sorry&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I&#8217;m never gonna have my husband here. My son&#8217;s never gonna have his father. Like, I just feel like I&#8217;m suffocating. Like my heart&#8217;s being ripped out of me. So, please, can you please&#8211; please don&#8217;t go. I don&#8217;t&#8211; I don&#8217;t want to be alone.<\/p>\n<p>Liam: I won&#8217;t, okay. I won&#8217;t, I won&#8217;T. I won&#8217;T. Here&#8217;s the thing. Finn&#8217;s irreplaceable. There&#8217;s never gonna be another finn. But right now I think what you should try to focus on is all the people you have in your life that you get to lean on. And that includes me. I&#8217;m not kidding. I&#8217;m always gonna be there for kelly. And that means I&#8217;m always gonna be there for you, okay?
