Close to my family again.

Kelly: I missed you, mommy.

Steffy: I miss you, too, baby girl. And I miss my husband. I’ll never be away from you. Ever again. I promise.

Taylor: So– so you think that I am driving a wedge between hope and liam?

Brooke: It’s possible. Instead of telling steffy the truth, you’re supporting this illusion that she’s married to liam. So maybe you are taking advantage of her memory loss.

Taylor: No. Steffy’s mental state is very fragile, and I’m not going to condone anything that will affect that.

[ Brooke sighing ]

Brooke: Wouldn’t telling her to do just the opposite? She would realize that she has a little baby boy that lost his father. And she would want to be there. She would want to accept the truth in order to help her son.

> >Taylor: I am not risking my daughter’s recovery, brooke. Do you understand me? And the fact that you would even think that I would use my daughter’s memory loss to play matchmaker with her and liam is appalling. Even for you.

Ridge: You know what, sheila? There’s no reason for you to be here. I know you got to be exhausted. This was a rough day for everybody.

Sheila: Yeah, I’m the only one here that lost a son.

Ridge: You, li and jack. I loved finn. He didn’t– he didn’t deserve what happened to him. You being here doesn’t change that. Go home. Get some rest. When we find out who did this, and we will, you will be my first phone call.

Sheila: I’m not surprised you don’t want me here. You’ve never had any use for me. I mean, even… even after saving taylor’s life, that doesn’t buy me any slack or compassion.

Ridge: Slack or compassion? No. I’m grateful you saved her. But really, the only reason she was on that roof because you were there, trying to end your life.

Sheila: I just wish she hadn’t got there in time.

Ridge: Don’t do that. I don’t– I don’t want that for you. That’s not– I am sorry you lost your son. And I’m sorry you thought that the only way out of that dark place was to jump off a building. I can only imagine what kind of demons you have running around your head, that lead you to a place like that.

Brooke: Okay. I am… I’m sorry. I don’t want to argue with you, taylor.

Taylor: Good. Then stop.

Brooke: I’m sorry for everything you’re going through. And as a mother, I sympathize. But what I don’t understand is how you can continue to let your daughter believe she’s living in this fantasy world, being married to liam. I mean, really, it’s ridiculous. It’s– it’s wrong. It’s wrong.

Steffy: This is everything right here. Bridget: Hey, honey.

Hope: Hey.

Bridget: How are you?

Hope: Oh, hanging in there.

Bridget: Oh, I love you so much.

Hope: I love you too.

Bridget: I’m really, really proud of you.

Bridget: Oh, it’s a full house in here.

[ Liam laughing ]

Kelly: It’s mommy’s favorite.

Steffy: Daddy’s too.

Liam: Yeah.

Bridget: Well, I hate to break this up, but I need to examine your mommy, and she needs to get some rest.

Liam: Say no more.

Steffy: No, no. Don’t move.

Liam: You heard her. Doctor’s orders. Come on, kid. Let’s get out of here. Oh. Oh, boy. Look at you. Thanks again.

Bridget: You know I’m going to take good care of her.

Liam: I know. I have no doubt in my mind. Say goodbye to aunty bridget.

Kelly: Bye, aunt bridget.

Bridget: Bye sweet girl. I’ll see you soon.

Liam: All right. Now tell mommy you love her.

Kelly: I love you, mommy.

Steffy: I love you too, baby. I’ll be home soon. We’ll be together again. Okay? I promise.

Brooke: I’m not being unsympathetic. I am not. It’s just… I can imagine everything that she’s been through is just… such a shock and horror. And for you, too, taylor. But I don’t see how letting her believe a lie is helpful.

Taylor: Steffy needs a buffer between regaining consciousness and experiencing life without finn.

Brooke: Okay. Let that be you, the mental health expert. You’re a professional. You can help her see the truth and accept it. I really don’t think that’s fair to put on hope and liam. It’s too much of a burden. Honey. What’s wrong?

Taylor: Is it steffy?

Hope: Ah. No, she’s fine. More than fine. Actually.

Taylor: I’m sorry. What is– what does that mean?

Hope: Oh, no. She’s just having some family time with her daughter and her husband. My husband.

[ Steffy groaning ]

Bridget: Hey, honey, talk to me. How is your pain level?

Steffy: Nothing I can’t handle.

Bridget: How about your head? You seemed a little anxious today.

Steffy: I shouldn’t be here.

Bridget: Steffy. You’re recovering from a gunshot wound. It was a big day. You got to see kelly. You just– you need to rest.

>>Steffy: I can heal faster… at home with my husband and my daughter.

Ridge: I know. I know you had high hopes to be connected with your long lost son. And just like that– one moment and it’s all gone. And I’m sorry. And– and I hope you are going to get… the help that you need, from anyone. Anyone but taylor.

Sheila: Wait. Why do you even care what happens?

Ridge: I don’t care what happens to you. I really don’T. But I want you to be alive. I want you to be here, when we find whoever did this to our kids. And we’re going to bring them to justice.

Baker: Oh, there you are.

Ridge: Any news?

Sheila: Did you find who shot my son?

Baker: Not yet, but we’re on it. I wanted to talk to steffy earlier, but the doctor said she wasn’t ready. I’m hoping that she’s ready now. Steffy’s the only witness that we have of what happened in that alley. So, the sooner I can talk to her, the sooner we can catch this scumbag.

Ridge: Okay, well, there’s a couple of things you need to know. Steffy has a bit of a tough time… remembering everything. Finn.

Baker: Oh. That he was killed?

Ridge: That they were married. That… they met, even.

Baker: I’m not a doctor, but it’s obvious she’s repressing memory.

Ridge: Well, I’m not a doctor either, but… I don’t think we’re going to get out of her what we wanted.

Baker: Well, maybe not. But you never know what could come up in the course of an interview.

Ridge: I know what’s not going to come up. Finn. We’re not going to talk about him. Not now. You need to honor that.

Baker: It might take some finessing. But I’ve dealt with victims who have had repressed memories before. Nine times out of ten, all you need is patience. Eventually, those memories resurface. And the perp will be caught. Hi, I’m karen.

Brooke: Kelly’s here? In the hospital? With liam?

Hope: Yeah.

Taylor: That’s okay, though, right? Steffy would want to see her daughter.

Hope: Yes. I just hope it’s not confusing for kelly.

Taylor: Be confusing to see your parents together?

Hope: Finn just came into her life as her mommy’s husband. And now, all of a sudden, he’s gone and she’s in a hospital and steffy is calling liam her husband.

Liam: Hey.

Brooke: Where’s kelly?

Liam: She’s with amelia.

Hope: She’s doing okay?

Liam: I think she’s– yeah, I think she’s okay.

Brooke: You think?

Liam: Well–

Hope: She’s not confused about being here.

Liam: I mean, maybe… a little. But she’d probably be more confused at home, just not even knowing where mommy is. At least here, she was able to see that steffy is okay.

Hope: Oh, I’m glad to hear that.

Brooke: Yeah, I’m glad to hear that, too. But I still have major issues allowing steffy to believe that liam is still her husband.

Liam: Believe me, I hear you. I totally get it. This whole situation is so– like, I don’t even know what to– and you. Your patience and understanding is, like, superhuman at this point, so–

Hope: Yeah. But I’m going to be honest, liam. It is a little weird to see steffy thinking that she’s still married to you.

[ Brooke huffing ]

Brooke: See? This is taking a toll on my daughter. Somebody has to tell steffy the truth.

Taylor: Absolutely not. I’m sorry, did you say it was taking a toll on your daughter these last few hours? Steffy just regaining consciousness. She was shot. Her husband died. I’m so sorry if this is too much for you. I want you to hear me very clearly right now. Nobody is going to undermine my daughter’s recovery. Do you understand?

Bridget: Your body has been through a lot. You were shot and then unconscious, while you fought to survive.

Steffy: Will I be okay?

Bridget: You are doing great. Physically, you’re on the road to recovery. I’m so proud of you. Of course, there’s always… unforeseen complications. But I am optimistic you’re not going to have any setbacks.

Steffy: Sooner, I’ll… be better? How long, again?

Bridget: Just as long as it takes.

Steffy: I want to be home with my husband and my daughter.

Bridget: I’m sure they will be back to see you soon.

Steffy: All I want is the three of us together. And then I’ll feel better.

Bridget: Let’s just take it one step at a time. Okay, honey?

Ridge: Bridget. Hey, how’s she doing?

Bridget: She’s getting stronger all the time.

Ridge: Told you. [Indistinct]

Baker: Is it okay if I ask her a few questions?

Bridget: Ask our patient. Steffy?

Steffy: I guess. Yeah.

Bridget: Go easy on her.

Ridge: I’ll make sure of it.

Baker: Well. It’s good to see you awake.

Steffy: Thanks.

Ridge: While he’s here, the chief wants to ask you a few questions, and I told him you’re not 100%. So, if you are not feeling it, we will do it some other time.

Baker: Absolutely. But I really need your insight into what happened that night in the alley. So that we can find the person responsible for shooting you.

Steffy: I’ll do my best.

[ Sheila’s heart beating ]

Liam: I promise you, taylor. None of us want steffy to backslide. We all care about her so much.

Taylor: Oh, I know. I know you do. I don’t think you understand. Steffy– steffy cannot– cannot process what happened that night. She– she can’t do it. She’s– she’s latching on to her history with liam to try to deal with the reality of finn’s murder. Do you understand that?

Hope: We get that. But if her memory doesn’t sort itself out on its own, my mom has a point. I mean, what am I supposed to do? Go on for years and years with steffy thinking she’s married to my husband? That’s ludicrous. Something has to help her remember that she was married to finn and they share a child. A little boy who needs his mother. It is unsustainable. Surely you realize that, taylor?

Taylor: Of course I do. And– steffy– steffy, just woke up. This is all new. Just give her a second. It’s just happened. And maybe right now all she can do is heal her body. I don’t know. Maybe there’s a physical reason why she’s blocking finn out. But either way, she– she’s unable to cope with what happened. But her memory will come back, when she’s ready. But there is… nothing that anyone is going to do to cause her to have a setback. And that’s just the way it is.

Bridget: Mom. Hello, everyone.

Brooke: Go ahead, honey. We need you. We need a second professional opinion. And you understand steffy’s condition better than any of us. So, tell us, please. Do you think steffy is too fragile to handle the truth right now? That she isn’t married to liam?

Bridget: Mom, it is my opinion and that of steffy’s neurologist that it would be best if she remembered on her own. We just need to give her a little bit more time.

Liam: Okay. Can you hang in there a little bit longer?

Hope: Hmm. Yeah, sure.

Brooke: Okay. Well, how much time is a little more time?

Bridget: It could be happening right now. Deputy chief baker is in there with steffy and ridge. He’s questioning her about that night. Maybe he’s touching on something that will help her remember that finn is dead. And maybe even who killed him and shot her.

Baker: You’ve been through a very challenging time. I’ll try not to add to that.

Steffy: I wanna– I wanna help.

Ridge: We know that. We will find out who did this to you.

Baker: Every available resource in my office is on this case. We won’t stop until we find and arrest this perp. I want you to take your time, okay? Think back to the night in question. You’re standing in the alley behind ii giardino. That strikes me as odd. Do you know why you were there?

Steffy: Something urgent.

Baker: You remember what?

Steffy: No.

Baker: All right, so you’re in the alley. Were you with anyone?

Steffy: No.

Baker: What? Are you– are you remembering something? Someone? Are the memories coming? Good. Good. Let the memories come.

Ridge: Hey. You’re safe. No one’s gonna hurt you.

Baker: Can you see a face?

Ridge: What do you remember? Who shot you?

[ Sheila’s heart beating ]

Back to the B&B Transcripts Page

Back to the Main Daytime Transcripts Page

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-1056557952271337"
     data-ad-slot="8801203268"
     data-ad-format="auto"
     data-full-width-responsive="true"></ins>

Bold & The Beautiful Transcript Transcript provided by Suzanne Steffy: I feel so good.
