Big day for my wife.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Sasha: How great did you look ringing the opening bell on Wall Street today, Lucy?<\/p>\n<p>Lucy: Well, now, now, we all looked great, but we also looked gorgeous and powerful and successful. Though I do admit I looked pretty spectacular ringing that bell.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: I think we looked even better flying home. How great was it one of our investors loaned us their private plane?<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Unbelievable. Thank you so much, you guys, for including me on the trip and letting me stand up there with you guys when you rang the bell. You guys are a really big deal.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: We are a big deal. I know you\u2019re not a partner, but nobody would know how fabulous deception is if it wasn\u2019t for you.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy: Exactly. That makes you invaluable.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: One of the many reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Sasha: It\u2019s been a rough year, ladies, but through it all, we stayed committed to Deception.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: And now we reap the rewards.<\/p>\n<p>[ All chuckle ]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>[ Clattering in distance ]<\/p>\n<p>[ Switch clicks ]<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: What do you want?<\/p>\n<p>Man in Shadows: Don\u2019t forget me.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: Who are you? [ Exhales slowly ] Okay. [ Sighs ] Okay, it\u2019s just\u2026 one hell of a dream.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Scott: So, why are we eating here instead of Wyndemere? You know how I like that brisk boat ride out there and, you know, the fresh orange juice and the frittatas?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I stayed in town last night.<\/p>\n<p>Scott: Oh. Is there trouble on Spoon Island?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Trouble with a capital \u201cE.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Spencer: Good morning. I was just about to bring this up to your room. How you feeling?<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Tired.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: You want any breakfast?<\/p>\n<p>Esme: No food. Just\u2026coffee?<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: The usual? Cream and two sugars?<\/p>\n<p>Esme: It\u2019s nice of you to still wait on me, especially now that we know I\u2019m not pregnant after all.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Laura: You know, Finn, I just wanted to say that Elizabeth means a great deal to me, and I\u2019m very glad that she has you in her life, especially with what she and the boys are going through right now.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Oh, I\u2019m \u2014 I\u2019m helping her as much as she\u2019ll let me. Of course, Elizabeth\u2019s first reaction is to try to do everything on her own.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Aiden: Mom, I can\u2019t find my P.E. Clothes.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: Uh, check the folded stack in the laundry room.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Mom? What are you doing?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jake: It happened again?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: Jake, don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: \u201cDon\u2019t forget me\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I don\u2019t want you to worry about this. No, I\u2019m not a kid anymore. I should know when someone broke in.<\/p>\n<p>Aiden: Someone broke in again?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I-I-I don\u2019t know what happened. Hopefully, the police will be able to tell us.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: And if they can\u2019t?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I\u2019ll handle it.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: By yourself?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I will do anything to protect you and your brothers, even if I have to do it alone.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: But you don\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: No, wait, wait. Who are you calling?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Ava: My husband has not only invited his son to live with us at Wyndemere, he\u2019s also seen fit to invite Spencer\u2019s now ex-girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>Scott: The famous Esme?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: You\u2019ve met her?<\/p>\n<p>Scott: No, but my client, Trina, has given me an earful.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Well, right now, at this very moment, Esme is likely propping her feet up on my furniture and nibbling your fancy frittatas. And best part \u2014 she may be nibbling for two.<\/p>\n<p>Scott: Wait a minute. Are you saying that Esme is having a little baby Cassadine?<\/p>\n<p>Laura: What? Oh, for the love of God, please tell me I\u2019ve misheard you.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Esme: Spence, I have a confession to make.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: What\u2019s that?<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Last night, when the pregnancy test came up negative, I was worried you would kick me out.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: I told you that I wouldn&#8217;t. I know, but that was before we knew the truth, and then once we found out, I \u2014<\/p>\n<p>Esme: I guess I just got scared. Maybe this was a mistake. Maybe I should just leave and take my chances on the mainland with Sonny.<\/p>\n<p>Nikolas: Why would you need to go anywhere?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Brando: Deception\u2019s going public today, so they\u2019re, um, you know, throwing a launch party at the savoy and gonna watch how the stock performs. The celebration\u2019s all day. You \u2014 you two should stop in.<\/p>\n<p>Dante: Wow, man, that \u2014 that is huge news.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: You \u2014 you must be proud of Sasha.<\/p>\n<p>Brando: Yeah. Man, I, uh \u2014 I can\u2019t tell you. And more than anything, I\u2019m just happy to see something good happen for her after all that\u2019s happened. Sasha deserves it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Nina: Wow. This is an amazing party. How does it feel?<\/p>\n<p>Sasha: Surreal. But good surreal.<\/p>\n<p>Nina: Yeah? Well, get used to it because I have a feeling this is just the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: There she is.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: Hi.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Aww, so proud. Oh, my gosh.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: I didn\u2019t do it all on my own.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Yeah, but no one else here is Felicia\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: Or Anna\u2019s goddaughter, so we don\u2019t care about them quite as much.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: No, taking a company public is a big deal.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: Yeah, you went from assistant at Crimson to an equity partnership in a company on the New York Stock Exchange. Maxie, I\u2019m in awe.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Yeah, I\u2019m British. We don\u2019t do awe, but on this occasion \u2014<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: She\u2019s awe. She\u2019s awe.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: [ Laughs ]<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: Well, in that case, to awe.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: Cheers.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis: Well, I\u2019m honored that you chose The Savoy to launch your IPO.<\/p>\n<p>Gladys: Mm. Well, now, we have a very select group. Uh, with the exception of Brando, almost all of our guests are here.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Why is Selina Wu crashing our event?<\/p>\n<p>Gladys: She isn\u2019t crashing. She\u2019s on the list.<\/p>\n<p>Selina: What an auspicious occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Ms. Wu, what an honor. How is it that you\u2019re here with us on the guest list?<\/p>\n<p>Selina: All major investors were invited, so here I am.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis: Are you saying that you bought a stake in deception?<\/p>\n<p>Selina: Almost from the beginning. It only took a little patience. When I see a good investment, I go for it.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Laura: Are you saying that Esme is pregnant?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Mm, only a possibility. At least, that\u2019s what I gathered before I walked out on Nikolas.<\/p>\n<p>Laura: You walked out on Nikolas? What?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: Well, I said either Esme had to go or I did. She\u2019s there, and I\u2019m here, so\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Laura: Oh, my god. What is he thinking?<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I have no idea. But, please, feel free to get all the gory details from your son.<\/p>\n<p>Laura: Believe me, I will.<\/p>\n<p>Scott: I-I kinda almost feel sorry for Nikolas.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: I don&#8217;t. Okay, so let\u2019s discuss why I asked you here.<\/p>\n<p>Scott: Okay, well, fire away.<\/p>\n<p>Ava: As my lawyer, I need you to tell me\u2026 what am I entitled to if I walk away from my marriage?<\/p>\n<p>Scott: [ Sighs ]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Nikolas: All things considered, you\u2019re better off here.<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Well, the thing is, it turns out I am not pregnant after all.<\/p>\n<p>Nikolas: Well, I won\u2019t tell you how to feel, but I do believe that\u2019s for the best.<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Since I\u2019m no longer carrying Spence\u2019s child, there really is no reason for me to stay.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: The invitation to stay here still stands.<\/p>\n<p>Nikolas: Esme, I saw how rattled you were yesterday. You deserve to feel safe.<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Thank you so much. I cannot tell you how terrifying that encounter with Sonny was. If you and your uncle victor hadn\u2019t come along \u2014<\/p>\n<p>Nikolas: Well, we did. You\u2019re safe. That\u2019s all that matters.<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: I\u2019m not sure what Uncle Sonny\u2019s intent was, Esme, but I would never let anyone hurt you.<\/p>\n<p>Esme: Really? Despite everything, you still care enough to protect me?<\/p>\n<p>Spencer: And I always will.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Finn: Hey, you okay?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: I\u2019m so sorry. I shouldn\u2019t have left you alone last night.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: Don\u2019t apologize. You deserve a nice dinner with your family.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Hey, you\u2019re my family, too. All of you. Thank you for calling, Jake.<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Thanks for coming.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: So tell me what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: [ Sighs ] It was the weirdest thing. Laura left, and I went to go upstairs. The lights went out. And I thought I saw someone.<\/p>\n<p>Aiden: You saw who broke into our house?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I only thought I did, \u2019cause the next thing I know, I was \u2014 it was morning, and I was speaking up on the couch.<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Who do you think you saw?<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth: I couldn\u2019t make out a face, but the person said, \u201cDon\u2019t forget me.\u201d And then when I woke up, \u201cDon\u2019t forget me\u201d was painted on a piece of artwork on the drafting table. It was still wet. Finn, what if they don\u2019t catch this guy?<\/p>\n<p>Aiden: Is there a way to check for fingerprints?<\/p>\n<p>Jake: Or trace the type of paint?<\/p>\n<p>Finn: Exactly. Smart boys. Alright, now that we have a lead, we need to call in reinforcements.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Sonny: Sasha\u2019s been through a lot, but, you \u2014 you know, you deserve to be happy, too.<\/p>\n<p>Brando: I am. I am. I-I mean, look, I-I know what people are saying, that Sasha and I eloped because we needed to distract ourselves from grieving our son.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Right.<\/p>\n<p>Brando: You know, m-my own mother thinks all this is too soon.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Let me tell you something about your mother. Gladys has a lot of opinions, but the only ones that matter are yours and Sasha.<\/p>\n<p>Brando: Yeah. You know, and for a while, I thought my mom was right, that Sasha and I wouldn\u2019t have a future without Liam.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Listen to me. Couples have cracked under a lot less.<\/p>\n<p>Dante: And you know what? No one can tell how they\u2019re gonna react when they\u2019re faced with something unthinkable like that. And you guys have \u2014 you guys are there for each other. You\u2019re getting each other through it. It\u2019s great.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: You guys bring out each other\u2019s strength. That\u2019s a beautiful thing.<\/p>\n<p>Brando: Yeah, I mean, I would love to think that, but, um, you know, Sasha, she\u2019s strong all on her own. You know, at first, I was afraid that she was gonna be in denial, but it turns out I was wrong. Sasha\u2019s just doing it her way.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Lucy: Ms. Wu, oh, we are just so pleased, um, to welcome you to the Deception family, a-and we\u2019re just delighted that you are here today to share in our special celebration. [ Chuckles ]<\/p>\n<p>Selina: The pleasure\u2019s all mine, Ms. Coe.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy: Oh, well, thank you so much. Um, if you will excuse us a minute, I\u2019m gonna take my cohorts, and we\u2019re going to go huddle and mingle. Uh, pardon us.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis: Ms. Wu, you are full of surprises.<\/p>\n<p>Selina: I told you before, call me Selina. And you shouldn\u2019t be surprised that I have varied interests. My grandfather always told me, \u201cOnly an unwise farmer plants a single crop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Curtis: Your grandfather\u2019s very insightful. In fact, last time you were here, you shared his favorite fable.<\/p>\n<p>Selina: Mm, which begs the question \u2014 the money tree I gave you \u2014 is it flourishing?<\/p>\n<p>Lucy: Okay, did anybody know that Ms. Wu was buying up shares of Deception?<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: No, absolutely not. She must have invested under a shell corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Well, now that the stock is being traded publicly, anyone who can afford it can buy in, including lady gangsters.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: Wow. You, like, always know the best thing to say.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Fine. Well, let\u2019s look on the bright side. If the biggest surprise of the day is Ms. Wu being an investor, then the rest of the day should be pretty seamless.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: Speaking of surprises, I, um, have someone meeting me here.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: Oh, my god. Look. The stock is going up.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: And up.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: What?<\/p>\n<p>[ Chuckles ]<\/p>\n<p>Anna: That\u2019s good.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: Hey, big shot. You look nice. Thank you. Do me a favor. Don\u2019t forget about all the little people who helped you on the way up.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: I\u2019m sorry. Wait. I have to tell you, it was harder to pick this ensemble than running an entire company and creating it.<\/p>\n<p>Felicia: Oh, but you made the perfect choice.<\/p>\n<p>Lucy: Thank you. Then I encourage you to pursue one of them. I have made my position abundantly clear.<\/p>\n<p>Selina: Why do I still feel there\u2019s a chance of bringing you on my side?<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: How long has this been going on?<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: Um, not long. It\u2019s new.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Like five minutes ago new? Because that\u2019s the only acceptable amount of time to justify you not telling me that you\u2019re dating my arch nemesis.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: Your arch nemesis?<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: You think so highly of me.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: I was going to tell you.<\/p>\n<p>Brook Lynn: You know what? I get it. You don\u2019t owe me anything.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: Okay, I think your friend just made us all about her.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: She\u2019s hurting. She probably thinks I was intentionally hiding this from her.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: Are you? \u2018Cause if I\u2019m your dirty little secret, I\u2019m kind of okay with that. It\u2019s kinda hot.<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: You are part of the problem. If you two hadn\u2019t been and remained so antagonistic with each other, I would\u2019ve felt more comfortable telling Brook Lynn about us.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: What can I do to make this right?<\/p>\n<p>Maxie: You can go make peace with her.<\/p>\n<p>Austin: Oh, anything but that.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Dante: Uh, you okay?<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Yeah, yeah. Why wouldn\u2019t I be?<\/p>\n<p>Dante: Well, I know you\u2019re happy for Brando, but that\u2019s \u2014 that\u2019s got to bring some stuff up.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Oh, because my marriage failed, you think I can\u2019t be happy for anybody else?<\/p>\n<p>Dante: No. I mean, you should \u2014<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: No, no, wait. But you should know as well as I do, there is life after divorce.<\/p>\n<p>Dante: [ Sighs ] I do know that.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny: Okay. You ready to box?<\/p>\n<p>Dante: I\u2019d love to, but I got to go to work.
