We need to get help!

Sheila: I didn’t mean to. I didn’t even know he was here.

Steffy: Oh, you’re sick. You’re sick. You’re going to prison for the rest of your life.

Sheila: Put it down now!

Taylor: Oh, I love this photo.

Ridge: Well, that is our daughter in her element, isn’t it?

Taylor: Yeah, you know, steffy has accomplished so much in her young life. She’s excelled at everything she’s tried. She’s such a force.

Ridge: Reminds me of you.

Taylor: Aww. I can’t take all the credit. You know, steffy has always been so strong, so fearless, so full of life.

Bill: Always like seeing you on dad duty, being with the kids, fixing their toys.

Liam: Yeah. Well, the toy fixing kind of comes with the territory– where does this go?

Bill: And you love it.

Liam: I– I love the being a dad part, although between you and me, I’m pretty sure these, uh, these toys are optimized for frustrating parents. You wanna give it a go, grandpa?

Bill: Oh, hell no. No, no.

Liam: Ah, you sure?

Bill: I just came by to keep you company while hope’s out with her friends.

Liam: Oh, well, perhaps you’re better suited to help douglas with his magnetism and electricity science project–

Bill: No, no! I don’t want to do that either. You see, I hire people to deal with these things, thereby eliminating the frustration you’re going through right now.

Liam: Ah, duh!

Bill: Although I do love anything to do with electricity. It’s power.

Liam: Oh! All right, that was– that was good.

Bill: Actually, I did love helping will with his homework. Something I never got to do with you. I didn’t even know you existed.

Liam: Yeah, but… that’s not on you. We both know my mother wanted it that way. Besides, I think you more than made it up to me, given everything you’ve done for me.

Bill: I appreciate that, son. And when I look at you, the father that you are, I mean, you’ve been a rock for douglas, and beth and kelly. Those warrior princesses absolutely adore you.

Liam: Yeah, well, a lot of that’s luck, you know? And kids couldn’t have asked for better moms than hope and steffy.

Bill: You are a very committed dad.

Liam: Yeah, well, trying.

Bill: No, well, you were doing more than trying. Those kids are your priority, as they should be.

Liam: Hey, I mean, family is everything. You, in fact– you drilled that into my head, as well as wyatt’s, as well as will’s as– how is will doing?

Bill: Oh, he’s– he’s great. I mean, he is really thriving at boarding school. I miss the hell out of him, even though katie and I, you know, video call him all the time.

Liam: Yeah, I’m sure. Well, he won’t be gone forever, you know?

Bill: No, and I still have you and wyatt to run roughshod over. You see, a father’s work is never done.

Liam: No, no. It’s never done. Neither is a grandfather’s, by the way. And you still owe beth a bedtime story.

Bill: Yeah, I know, I was really bummed when I got here and she was already sleeping. I had my latest fairy tale all picked out, beauty

and the business tycoon.

Liam: Hey, it’s a classic.

Bill: Yeah.

Liam: Which one are you?

Bill: I could play both parts.

Liam: Touché, touché. Well, maybe you test it out on kelly, next time you see her.

Bill: Hey, um, speaking of my other granddaughter, I continue to be impressed with– with you playing such a huge part in her life, even though you don’t live with her.

Liam: Thank steffy for that. I mean, she’s just been so supportive of my relationship with my daughter. I’m just– I’m really lucky to have both kelly and steffy in my life.

Taylor: Do you remember when the kids were young, and steffy wanted to learn to play baseball and she was hounding thomas to teach her?

Ridge: I do remember. I also remember that he wasn’t too keen on it because he thought his friends were gonna make fun of him.

[ Taylor laughing ]

Thomas: Yeah. What, uh– what big brother wants his tomboy little sister hanging around him all the time? Especially when she can pitch better than him and all of his friends?

Ridge: But you did stand up for her. Told your friends that if she didn’t get to try out, you wouldn’t play.

Thomas: Which is something I remind her of every time I need a favor from her. Not that she ever needed my help. Steffy can…

[ Sighing ] Stand up for herself against anyone or anything.

Sheila: I said drop it!

Steffy: You’re crazy. Finn needs an ambulance.

Sheila: Steffy, do not make that call.

[ Gunshot ] Hi, I’m karen.

Liam: On the house.

Bill: Thank you. So you ever wonder who kelly will be when she grows up?

Liam: I can’t tell what you’re asking. You mean if she’ll be more like steffy or me?

Bill: Well, I mean, you know, two of you are a real study in– in contrasts. You know, you have this gigantic, loving heart.

Liam: Yeah. Well, so does steffy.

Bill: Mm-hmm. Yes, she does, but, uh… but she can be tough as nails when she has to be.

Liam: Hey! Oh! Well, I can– I can be tough as nails– what, are you saying I can’t be tough as nails? I can be tough as nails.

Bill: No, no, I’m not saying that at all. Look, what I’m saying–

[ Liam laughing ] Is that, uh, kelly is lucky to have parents who bring both strength and sensitivity to her life. I mean, you guys– you guys care about each other and– and support each other, even though you’re not married to one another.

Liam: No, that’s true. I mean, steffy and I are really good at that, supporting each other and it’s– you know what, it’s because we just don’t ever want kelly to feel stuck in the middle.

Bill: Yeah, well, that’s very admirable, though I imagine it’s also easier said than done.

Liam: Uh, it is easier said than done. Uh… mostly just because it’s– it’s all the history– history between steffy and me, between hope and me, between hope and steffy. But, um, but at the end of the day, you know, all three of us, the– the bottom line is the kids and their well-being.

Bill: You’re a hell of a dad, liam.

Liam: Gah! Well, you know, beth and kelly really make it easy, douglas, too.

Bill: Yeah. Well, uh, see if you’re still singing that tune when they hit their teenage years.

[ Liam laughing ]

Liam: You know, beth and douglas, not too worried about, kelly– gonna be a handful.

Bill: Just like her mom.

Liam: And I love them both. I’m always gonna love steffy.

Ridge: Well, you’re absolutely right. Your sister never backs down.

Taylor: Yeah but then again, her namesake never did either.

Thomas: Yeah, well, there’s a lot of grandma in steff, that’s for sure.

Taylor: You know, our daughter wouldn’t be who she is without that fearlessness.

Ridge: Fearlessness, yes, fearlessness is great. Doesn’t stop life from smacking you around, if it chooses to. So I’m glad she has finn in her corner.

[ Sheila panting ]

Sheila: Steffy. Steffy, can you hear me?

[ Gloves tugging ]

[ Sobbing ]

[ Gasping ]

You never know

what opportunities

Bill: I– I’m fully cognizant of how much all of this means to you, hope, and your family with her, being a dad to beth, kelly and douglas.

Liam: Okay, why do I– i feel like there’s a “but” coming?

Bill: No “but,” it’s just that, um, well, I– I’m also aware of– of how much your life with steffy meant to you and– and how special it was, uh, because of how special steffy is. And oh, I think that maybe she brought some things out in you that– that hope can’T.

Liam: Okay, I’m not exactly sure where you’re going with this, but if it’s going to end in some criticism of hope–

Bill: No, no, no, no, no criticism of– of hope. Uh, I’ve nothing against hope. I have a lot of respect for her. She– she’s a wonderful woman who clearly makes you happy.

Liam: Yeah, she does.

Bill: But she’s not steffy, and your marriage to hope is not what your marriage to steffy was.

Liam: Just say it. What’s– what is your point?

Bill: I have no idea. I– in fact, I don’t even think there’s really a, you know, point. It’s just– it’s an observation.

Liam: Yeah, well– I mean, it– it’s a pretty trivial observation that hope and steffy are, in fact, two different people.

Bill: Exactly. Ah, so I guess there was a point, after all, and you just made it, because you’re so smart. Even though you’re married to hope, you’ve just admitted that you will always love steffy.

Liam: Yeah, dad, of course I admit that. Steffy and I share so much. We share a child, we share history. I mean, she’s– she’s changed my life in incredible, profound ways. And just because, you know, just because we’re not together anymore doesn’t mean that I can even imagine my world without steffy in it.

[ Ridge sighing ]

Ridge: Finn has brought so much joy to steffy’s life, right?

Taylor: Yes, I get to see it every single day. They are– they’re just there for each other. They support each other. They bring out the best in one another.

Ridge: Yeah, no, it’s true.

Taylor: Yeah.

Ridge: And why are we dealing with sheila? Why– why does she have to be in the picture at all? She’s already caused so many problems for finn and steffy. I don’t want to cause any more.

[ Metal clinking ]

[ Sheila panting ]

[ Sobbing ]

[ Whimpering and groaning ]

[ Wailing ]

Deacon: Doing it right now, paul. Chill out.

[ Sighing] Living the life, aren’t you, deacon?

[ Metal creaking ]

[ Bottles rattling ] Oh, my god, finn! And steffy! Every year we try

Thomas: You know, I don’t think we should spend any more time talking about sheila.

Ridge: You think I wanna talk about her? I wish I didn’t have to. I wish she was out of our lives forever.

Taylor: Well, I don’t know if that’s gonna happen because her son, and her grandson, live in los angeles. But, you know, I– I do hope that she has changed, and I hope that she’s not going to cause trouble for–

Ridge: Wait, you hope so? She’s already caused trouble. Why do you say these things? I know you’re a psychiatrist and you see the best in everybody, but this is, it’s–

Taylor: Okay, okay, and I know that that’s annoying. I get it. I understand. I want to see the best in people. So sue me. I want people to be happy. And– but– but I also know that there are people in this world that are so deeply wounded that even therapy can’t help them.

Thomas: Right, and you don’t see sheila carter as one of those?

Taylor: Well, I mean, sheila has never been my patient, and… maybe she should have been. What I do know is it feels like sheila just wants to be my friend.

Ridge: Oh, okay, no, that’s good. Maybe she does. She just needs a friend. What do you– what are you talking about? Do you hear yourself? How do you even say these things after what she’s done to your family? What she’s done to us? Wherever that woman goes, wherever sheila shows up, tragedy follows.

[ Gunshot ringing ]

Sheila: Oh, finn. My son. My– my sweet, beautiful son. What have I done? What have I done? [ Sobbing ]

Deacon: Oh, my god, no. No, no, no. Finn. And steffy! Oh!

[ Phone dialing ]

Deacon: Yeah, yeah, there’s been a– a shooting, uh, two victims, in the alley behind il giardino. Uh, a man and a woman. Finn– uh, john finnegan, and steffy forrester. I– I don’t know what happened. I can’t tell, they’re not moving. Just get here, damn it!
