I mean, as&#8211; as head of security at forrester, I&#8217;m considered an authorized user.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Forrester, sure, but we&#8217;re talking about the private residence.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: I set it up. I mean, I hung all the cameras myself. Carefully, precisely, to get the exact right exposure. I think you can consider me authorized.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: It doesn&#8217;t matter if you&#8217;re authorized or not. We need you to access the footage. We need proof that brooke kissed deacon.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: So you really believe my secret&#8217;s safe?<\/p>\n<p>Hope: I do. You know, douglas says, stop talking about santa, right? And my dad promised not to tell anyone.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Nobody else can ever know.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Especially not ridge.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: No matter what, I&#8217;m here for you. You know that. And that means that I am here for your wife, too. So if there&#8217;s anything that I can do.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I&#8211;I appreciate all of that more than you know, but I&#8217;m actually not here as a patient. I&#8217;m here as a friend.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Okay, fine. Listen, I can&#8217;t help myself. It&#8217;s the setting.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I get it. Are you happy you moved back?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah. It&#8217;s the best decision I ever made.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Look, grace, I appreciate your support. I do, and I agree with you, I think paris and I could be very happy together. What am I saying? We are happy together now. We have a lot of fun. Well, we don&#8217;t have is the responsibility of commitment. And if that happens one day, great. But in the meantime, I&#8217;m fine with keeping things loose.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Well, you shouldn&#8217;t be. Trust me, zende. Keeping it loose? A bad idea.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Zende is who my daughter should share her life with. You are an older man who was engaged to her sister. End it with paris or I&#8217;ll go to ridge.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Carter, more wine?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: So, you want to tell me why you&#8217;ve been acting so mysterious? What&#8217;s going on in that handsome head of yours?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Am I being mysterious?<\/p>\n<p>Paris: A little bit.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I guess everything about the two of us, these feelings we developed&#8230; it&#8217;s been a bit of a mystery.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Something that neither of us expected, that&#8217;s for sure.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: And it&#8217;s also something we&#8217;ve kept from everybody. It&#8217;s time for that to change.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Here&#8217;s one of kelly on her birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Oh, oh, that is so cute. Steffy never sent that to me, would you?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I&#8217;ll try. Of course.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Too many birthdays missed, too many holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Well, not anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Not anymore.<\/p>\n<p>[ Both laughing ] Makes me happy to see you smiling.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Well, it&#8217;s been difficult lately.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah. Because of whatever it is that&#8217;s going on with brooke.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: I just have to trust you&#8217;re right. You know, and believe that nobody else will learn what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Yeah. I mean there&#8217;s really no reason anyone should.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Yeah, it&#8217;s just kind of hard not to be concerned. You know, knowing that taylor&#8217;s back in town and probably waiting in the sidelines, waiting for something bad for ridge and me to happen and thomas and steffy egging them on. I really don&#8217;t think that those two would care if my marriage were to fall apart. As long as their mother had&#8230; had another chance with ridge.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Still sleeping soundly.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah. So, how are we doing here?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Now, I got the ip address. Just need the password, which is &#8220;lemon bars.&#8221; That&#8217;s it. I&#8217;m in.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: What? You are?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Oh, yeah. We got live cameras here. We got a library, we got settings. Let&#8217;s see how far back the videos are saved. You say you want to go to new year&#8217;s eve?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah, yeah. Brooke was having a gathering. Deacon should be there and hope and liam too.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah, I think they left around the same time.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay, yeah. Well, then we need to know if deacon came back.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Let&#8217;s find out. Kim is now demonstrating her congestion.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: A bad idea?<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Yes, a bad idea. I&#8217;m just trying to&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Come in!<\/p>\n<p>Sequoyah: Hey, zende.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Hey, sequoyah.<\/p>\n<p>Sequoyah: So, I&#8217;m heading to my fitting now, but it shouldn&#8217;t take too long. We still on for tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Definitely.<\/p>\n<p>Sequoyah: Great. My turn to treat this time. No arguments.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Nope. None. None at all. I&#8217;ll see you later.<\/p>\n<p>Sequoyah: Bye.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Bye. Before you say anything&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Grace: I&#8217;m not.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Your body language is.<\/p>\n<p>Grace: Maybe I&#8217;m old fashioned, but I don&#8217;t get what you and paris are doing.<\/p>\n<p>Zende: Look. Grace. Paris and I, we have an understanding, and please don&#8217;t be mad at her. It is not a crime to not want to settle down, especially at her age. And besides, I&#8217;m the one seeing other people, not paris.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: So, what are you saying? You&#8217;re ready to start telling people about us, which I&#8217;m not totally opposed to, but we don&#8217;t really know what this is yet? If there&#8217;s a future here.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I can see it. A future with you. I realize it would be complicated, but I know it will be worth it.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: I think you&#8217;re right. A future with you&#8230; I could see it too.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Did you get it?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: I did. Oh my gosh, you&#8217;re right.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You know the best part?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: What?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: His team lost 6-1 and he didn&#8217;t care at all. Isn&#8217;t that cute?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: This is nice. Thank you for making it easy.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: It&#8217;s always easy with us, right? I&#8217;m glad I can be here. You&#8217;ve&#8230; you&#8217;ve been going through a rough time carrying a heavy weight.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Oh, I&#8217;m just building muscle. Summer&#8217;s coming.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Oh, is that what you&#8217;re doing?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Is that how you got your thick skull?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Hey. Oh, ridge. Whatever it is that brooke is going through, I&#8230; I know what a loving and committed husband you are to her. Whatever it is, she&#8217;s damn lucky to have you.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Well, what do you know? A new suspect emerges.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Suspect?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Yeah, it&#8217;s a nefarious sort lurking at brooke&#8217;s doorstep on the day in question.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Oh, no. It kind of looks like she&#8217;s getting a delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: We&#8217;re looking for something later in the night.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: You know, as a professional, I&#8217;m&#8211;I&#8217;m going to jot this down, okay? So, you got a pad and a paper anywhere? You got&#8211; ow!<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Oh, sorry. Damn cactus strikes again.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Yeah. One request? Can we remove all dangerous plant life from the immediate vicinity? Thank you very much.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay, do you want me to take over, charlie?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: I&#8217;m&#8211;I&#8217;m&#8211; I&#8217;m trained to push through the pain, thank you very much.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: All right.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Okay, here we go. Okay, we got hope and liam leaving, carrying two very sleepy children.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: What about deacon? I thought he left?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Affirmative. There he goes.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Okay. Keep going.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah, come on.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Bingo.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Deacon came back. He came back. Got ya, brooke.<\/p>\n<p>New vicks vapostick. Strong soothing vapors&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Paris: So, I have to ask, what&#8217;s inspiring this? You really want to put it out there and tell people about us?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I don&#8217;t want to run around and hide. I did that with quinn. It was wrong. It&#8217;s no way to start a relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: I get that. And so will zende. He&#8217;ll understand.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: No. He won&#8217;T. Zende will never know about us. Nobody will. We have to end our involvement&#8230;tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Very kind of you, taylor.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Well, you are a wonderful husband.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Well, sometimes, a lot of times I question that.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah? I speak from experience, don&#8217;t I?<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: Yes, you do.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Ridge, whatever it is that&#8217;s going on, your faith in your wife is&#8230; it&#8217;s beautiful, and you really are there for her. I hope she&#8217;s always deserving of that.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: Oh, my god. I could just imagine what steffy and thomas would do if this were to get out.<\/p>\n<p>Hope: Mom. Mom. I don&#8217;t want you to do this, okay? I don&#8217;t want you to get caught up in all the negative thinking and all the &#8220;what ifs&#8221;. Just believe that no one else is going to find out about what happened with dad that night, okay?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Can you believe this? Dad&#8217;s stranded and he can&#8217;t make it back into town and what does brooke do? She invites deacon over.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I know. It&#8217;s disturbing.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Okay, okay, here we go. We&#8217;ve got motion on the patio. Could be deacon leaving. No. Oh no, no. Wait, wait. It&#8217;s just the opposite. It&#8217;s somebody approaching. It&#8217;s a small child.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Yeah, that&#8217;s just douglas. He was looking for a stuffed animal.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: It must have been when they were kissing. Douglas saw.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Bad news. I&#8211;I don&#8217;t think the cameras caught deacon leaving. I&#8217;m already into the next day.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Wait. That&#8217;s weird. How&#8217;s that possible? You said you had the whole place covered, so how did deacon leave unnoticed?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Did&#8211; wait a minute. Wait, wait. He&#8211;he didn&#8217;T.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Didn&#8217;t what?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: Slip out&#8230; until the next morning.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy and thomas: What?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: There he is. He&#8217;s leaving out the back way, dressed in the same clothes.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I can&#8217;t believe this.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: He spent the night?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: I was disgusted before when I heard that brooke kissed deacon, but this?<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: I know. Dad always wants to see the best in her. He wants to, you know, defend her. But.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Well, this just shows that she isn&#8217;t worthy. I need a copy sent to me right away.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Now, roger that.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: This&#8230; this isn&#8217;t going to end well for brooke, is it?<\/p>\n<p>Charlie: For brooke? Absolutely not. But it is going to end well for our father, once he finds out the truth out about brooke and deacon.<\/p>\n<p>(Ziploc tab zip opening)<\/p>\n<p>Paris: You want to end this?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: I care about you, paris.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Okay, so why do this? Why not see where this could go?<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Because it would never work. Not after what I did with quinn and I know that you and zende aren&#8217;t serious and then it&#8217;s a completely different situation. The forresters will never see it that way. They&#8217;ll see me going after zende&#8217;s woman, interfering with another forrester relationship and that can jeopardize your standing with the company, with the family, paris. Can&#8217;t let that happen.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: Zende will help explain to his family that we agreed to let things be casual. No one&#8217;s cheating here. I don&#8217;t see how anyone could be upset.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: Just will. It&#8217;s complicated. Zende can give you the best life. Everything that being a forrester means.<\/p>\n<p>Paris: I don&#8217;t care about that. Something is happening between us, carter. Something that I&#8217;ve never felt before and I&#8217;m guessing that you haven&#8217;t either. We owe it to ourselves to find out what we could have. I don&#8217;t want to let you go.<\/p>\n<p>Carter: This is the way it has to be.<\/p>\n<p>[ Brooke sighing ]<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: You know what I miss? I&#8217;m just walking into this house, seeing you happy. Hearing you laugh, seeing you smile. Think we&#8217;ll ever get there again, you think we&#8217;ll ever get past that night? What can I do?<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: I don&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I gotta do something. Can&#8217;t keep going like this. It&#8217;s not your fault.<\/p>\n<p>Brooke: I want to believe that. I do. It&#8217;s just&#8230; I&#8217;m just scared.<\/p>\n<p>Ridge: I&#8217;m not scared at all. Because I know what you&#8217;re capable of. I know what we can do together. Face anything. Nothing&#8217;s going to come between us. You have to believe that.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: So what&#8217;s your next step?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: We&#8217;ll figure that out once mom gets here, but she needs to know the truth about brooke. That there&#8217;s a chance that mom and dad could get back together.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Steffy? Hey. I got your text. Hey, thomas.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Hey.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Hi. Is everything okay? Where are the kids?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: The kids are fine. They&#8217;re asleep.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Okay. Well, you&#8211; are you guys okay? What&#8217;s going on?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Well, you know how we&#8217;ve&#8211;we&#8217;ve talked about our family quite a lot recently, and, you know, we&#8217;re so happy to have you back. It&#8217;s just&#8230; it&#8217;s nice to finally be together. All of us?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yes.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yes, it is. Your father and I were just talking about that.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Wait. You were with dad?<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah, yeah. He came by the office to check on me. It was very sweet.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Huh.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: What&#8217;s going on, you guys?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Mom, dad&#8217;s not just being sweet. He really cares about you.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: You&#8217;ve confessed that you still love him.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Because I do. Steffy, thomas. Is that why I&#8217;ve been called over here? Is that what&#8217;s so important? I&#8230; you guys, I don&#8217;t want you getting caught up in wishful thinking, okay. Your father is married to brooke and his life is with her and the logans. It&#8217;s really best if we all just accept that and move on, okay?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: What if we don&#8217;t have to? What if we could change that? I mean, we&#8217;ve all sensed that something&#8217;s off with brooke. Hope&#8217;s been worried. So is dad. Thomas and I, we finally figured out what it is. We know now.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Wait, something really is wrong?<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Mm-hm.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas: Very, very wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: Look, I would never wish for the end of dad&#8217;s marriage, and i would hate for him to go through that kind of pain, but after seeing and hearing what we have, mom,<\/p>\n<p>Taylor: Come on. Just tell me what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n<p>Steffy: We&#8217;ve all&#8211; come on, mom. We have all given brooke the benefit of the doubt, and we did it for dad&#8217;s sake.
